Chapter Index

    The Second Rampage.

    “Caw! Caw!”

The drink almost got stuck in my throat.

The sound of something breaking interrupted the party that was just starting to get lively.

    Cheon Sal frowned.

It seemed it was time to end the drinking and dancing.

    “Damn it! Cursed, cursed!”

Cheon Sal spat out his unique curse.

    “Damn it! Damn it!”

The screams of his men hit his ears. The shortening intervals between screams indicated they were helpless.

“What has happened here? This is not like you to make such a mistake!”

Jisal sent a slightly reproachful look.

“Who would have thought it would come to this? We’ve lost a precious Demonic God Pill!”

Not only was it lost, but the damage was also severe. It was completely out of control. It had already slipped out of his hands.

“A beast that can’t even distinguish friend from foe!”

    Jisal grumbled.

    “What a headache…”

    “Where could it be hiding?”

“It must be acting on instinct! To survive! And to kill properly! To hunt its prey, its food!”

    “Thud!”

The cup in Cheon Sal’s right hand fell onto the table with a sound. He had no idea that this cup would be the last he would hold.

The two men who locked eyes quickly moved to a new location, followed earnestly by their men. The only thing left behind was the unfinished drink.

The weather was incredibly sunny. The strength and temperature of the wind were just right. The shade was comfortably cool.

Having had lunch not long ago, the feeling of fullness was satisfying. It was the perfect time for a nap. Leaning against the tree shade, Bi Ryu-yeon murmured with his eyes closed. This shade was one of the best spots he had found after a long search.

Since that day, this place had become Bi Ryu-yeon’s favorite resting spot. It was a tree worthy of respect. Today, as always, Bi Ryu-yeon ignored his colleagues who were immersed in grueling training and came here to enjoy a sweet nap.

    “Nice. It’s good weather!”

A smile spread across his face.

“The weather’s perfect for a nap!”

Despite the surrounding heavenly net not yet clearing, he was still utterly relaxed and carefree.

Feeling the gentle breeze on his cheeks and the cool chill climbing up his back under the cool shade of the tree was pleasant. The Cheon-geom-jo (Heavenly Sword Squad ) and Ju-jakdan ( Vermilion bird Squad ) were still undergoing harsh training under Yeom do’s strict guidance.

‘Work hard! Good luck to you all!’

It cost nothing to send encouragement in his mind, so he could afford to do so. The task Yeom do had taken on was significant. Not only did he have to play the role of a nanny, protecting the officials from Cheonji Samsal and his men, but he also had to ensure they all survived.

How long had he been asleep?

    “Clang! Clang! Clang clang!”

    “Whoosh! Swoosh! Swish!”

The sound of swords cutting through the air tickled his ears. The dazzling movements of a dozen swords made the atmosphere scream. Initially, the sound was weak, but now it had grown loud enough to ring in the ears and shake the mountains. The swordsmanship tore through the air.

A smile appeared on Bi Ryu-yeon’s lips. That’s when it happened.

    “Flap Flap Flap!”

Suddenly, hundreds of birds took flight from the peak. Birds of various colors flew up as if fleeing all at once.

    Bi Ryu-yeon’s brow furrowed slightly.

    A piercing murderous intent!

“Looks like we’ll have a visitor soon!”

The owner of the murderous intent was capable of overturning the entire peak. A person bundled up in abnormal murderous intent. The source of the murderous intent was rapidly approaching the dormitory.

    “Do you want blood?”

The skin-prickling murderous intent was so intense that it wouldn’t be strange to think so.

“Looks like my nap is over! It’s rare to find such a good spot…”

It wasn’t easy to find such a place. Licking his lips with regret, Bi Ryu-yeon got up. Shaking off the temptation of a sweet nap with strong endurance, Bi Ryu-yeon who had risen from his spot, moved his hand to retrieve the barrier he had set up around him.

The Changcheon Roemang (heavenly lightning net) of the Biryeo-do Sect’s secret barrier technique.

    Retrieval.

The transparent silver threads spread out in all directions began to unravel one by one, following Bi Ryu-yeon’s finger movements, and were collected back. The sunlight reflecting off them was mysteriously beautiful. It was as if they were dancing with the light.

After retrieving the boundary barrier, Bi Ryu-yeon headed to the dormitory where an unannounced visitor was expected. It seemed like it was going to be a busy day.

    “Here it comes!”

    “It’s coming!”

    “It’s here!”

    Flap Flap Flap!

The various birds that had nested in the mountain filled the sky as they took flight. Not only Bi Ryu-yeon but also the visitor felt the murderous intent. It was so blatant that it shook the entire mountain and drove away all the birds. If one couldn’t sense such an overt murderous intent, they would be considered a failure among the experts.

    The time had finally come.

Everyone here agreed that the reason they had been training so hard under Yeom do, except for Mujinja who had become a bystander for some reason, was for today.

Mujinja was currently in a week-long sleep state due to acupressure. It was because he was deemed a disturbance to the special intensive training. The issue of Mujinja’s treatment had been a hot topic since the start of the special training. Bi Ryu-yeon and Yeom do also had to rack their brains over this issue.( I have 0 idea who this dude is ngl )

    “What should we do?”

Yeom do asked before starting the special training.

“He’s so annoying! He’s definitely going to get in the way, right?”

“Of course he is. I can see you’re furious that we changed the training schedule. No matter what reason we give, he won’t listen. He’s so stubborn!”

“Let’s just ignore him! You must be tired from teaching these days.”

“That seems to be the best way.”

Yeom do nodded and immediately pressed the acupressure point of Mujin, who was enjoying the fragrance of tea after the meal that day. It was a point that would allow him to sleep soundly for a week. Yeom do had no doubt that the sleeping pills he got from Tang family would enhance the effect.

Against this backdrop, the special training began. And now, it was time to test the results of that training.

The murderous intent finally approached. Tension was evident on everyone’s faces.

    “!”

Mo Yong-hwi, with his wounds not yet fully healed, clashed head-on with Gal Hyobong’s twin swords. Cheong-heun criticized him for being hasty, but it was already too late.

    “!”

A massive explosion echoed through the mountains, signaling the beginning of the blood bath.

Mo Yong-hwi vs. Gal Hyobong’s second round The official name was “Emergency Short-Term Intensive Attribute Special Reinforcement Training,” Even with such a long name, the people of Chohon Geop Dae and Myeon Gwangdo Dae struggled against the Cheonmo’s students who had endured the special training.

The students realized that it was much easier to fend off the combined attacks of their enemies after crossing swords with them. They were much less tense and more at ease than during their previous fight. It was so comfortable that it was natural for the Cheonmo’s students attention to turn to Cheonji Samsal and Gal Hyobong.

As expected, the two were locked in a close battle in the midst of the fierce fight.

Mo Yong-hwi’s sword, shining like the light of stars, pressed Gal Hyobong back. However, Gal Hyobong’s twin swords were not to be underestimated. The blood-red sword energy rippled, extinguishing the meteor-like sword energy.

Mo Yong-hwi, with fervor, pushed Gal Hyobong back with each move, filled with desperation. He couldn’t shake off the feeling of urgency.

“He’s feeling the crisis! Does he not want to admit the emotion of fear?”

That was Bi Ryu-yeon’s own interpretation of Mo Yong-hwi’s attack, which lacked any sense of ease.

Namgung Sang asked with a curious expression.

    “Why? How can you tell?”

“You can tell by looking at the sword! It’s obvious.”

At Bi Ryu-yeon’s answer, Namgung Sang looked puzzled.

“Look at that guy’s sword! There’s no sign of ease! He’s become desperate because he instinctively feels a sense of crisis, and his mind is reflected in his sword like a mirror.”

“The swordsmanship is too rough! It’s not the stable sword he has shown before. His previous sword was so cold it was chilling, but now it’s filled with heat!”

The sword is a mirror that reflects the heart of a warrior. Because emotional changes are reflected at the tip of the sword. To say that the sword is the warrior’s alter ego and everything is no exaggeration. The life of a warrior hangs at the tip of the sword. How could its weight be considered light?

A red mist-like sword energy enveloped the surroundings. It was as if blood had turned into mist, wrapping around, which was not a pleasant feeling.

    “Thump! Thump!”

What technique will he show this time? Mo Yong-hwi finally realized that his heart was pounding with excitement. He was enjoying this fight. A fight where a slight mistake could lead to death!

‘What will he bring out this time?’

It would be a lie to say there was no interest. The red mist-like sword energy took over his vision. Suddenly, Gal Hyobong’s figure disappeared from Mo Yong-hwi’s sight. The interference from the enemy’s technique was more severe than expected.

Mo Yong-hwi concentrated his mind and opened his sixth sense. His senses had improved dramatically due to the special training he had undergone recently. Even in the fog that obscured his vision, his senses could not be deceived.

    ‘Is that it?’

He felt a presence about five steps away. But there was a problem.

    “Hmm?”

The presence multiplied, and soon he felt six presences surrounding him.

‘Can it be… multiple shadow clone technique? But six at once?’

Using shadow clones to blur the opponent’s senses and confuse the direction of attack is not impossible. It’s one of the techniques that any master who has reached the pinnacle can use. However, six multiple clones were a different story.

‘Can the body endure such an excessive burden?’

Mo Yong-hwi was very skeptical, but regardless, he was now facing reality, and it was a critical situation. Mo Yong-hwi gathered his energy to its maximum and prepared for a surprise attack.

He assumed the stance of the Galaxy Meteor Swordsmanship Opening Technique.

‘If I don’t give it my all, I will die!’

Mo Yong-hwi’s body transformed into a sharp sword. In front of his swordsmanship, a fist-sized dark blue sword energy sphere began to form. All his power was converging on this one point. A tremendous force began to concentrate at one point.

    ‘Here it comes!’

The six presences surrounding him attacked towards him as the center point. It was impossible to guess which one was the real body. He had no choice but to cut down all six clones at once.

Mo Yong-hwi swung his sword with all his might and full concentration.

Two ultimate martial arts collided at one point. It was a clash of tremendous power. A head-on battle without an inch of concession!

    “Boom!”

The power of the divine sword and demonic energy covered all directions with light and thunderous noise, and the heavens and the earth screamed. A storm enveloped everything.
