Chapter v7c13
by fnovelpia
“Hand over the money! Give me everything you have!”
“Kuk! Puhahahahaha! Euhahahaha!”
Loud laughter erupted from the five mouths at the same time. They could not help but find it amusing. But the bandit did not budge at their laughter.
“Hehe! How funny! You experience all sorts of things in life!”
It was true. They had done robbery, r*pe, arson, but they had never been in the position of being robbed. They were always the strong ones. As long as the name of Celestial Assassins was shining brightly above their heads and behind their backs, they believed their position was eternal.
First Reaper’s face twitched with the three thick scars that ran across it. The more he listened, the more absurd the story became. How dare this guy try to rob them in broad day light?
Who were they? The symbols of terror and slaughter, the subordinates of the King of Hell, the reapers of the Underworld, the leaders of the Five reapers.
This bandit was nothing to them.
“Isn’t the thing on your head heavy? Let me do you a special favor and make it lighter!”
One move was enough. No matter how amazing the experience was, it would get boring if repeated too often.
“Kill him!”
They were not generous and righteous enough to bother with reviving and killing him again.
First reaper raised his hand to signal and the Fifth of the Five Reapers, Blood Dark Blade Gahu Hyuk, moved his body like a tiger to cut the bandit’s neck. He did not need to use his full power for this movement.
“Kraaaak!”
A miserable scream echoed throughout the mountain. The birds were startled by the sudden scream and flew away.
“No… no way!”
The other four, except for Blood Dark Blade Gahu Hyuk who was lying on the ground with his arm twisted behind his back, were shocked by the unbelievable sight. Their eyes were about to pop out.
“No, this can’t be!”
The result they wanted did not happen. Normally, the head and the body should have been separated, and blood should have gushed out from the severed artery. Since the blade of the reapers was drawn, blood rain and blood sea were inevitable.
But the sky was clear, and there was no sign of blood rain. More importantly, the head and the body of the opponent, who should have been cut in half, were stuck together as if to show off their friendship.
There was only one conclusion. Blood Dark Blade Gahu Hyuk’s move was wasted. Even though he was face down on the ground, he clearly saw the blade cutting through the opponent. He definitely cut him, but he was not cut. That meant he cut an illusion.
“Could it be… surely not Position Shifting!”
The highest level of movement technique that leaves an afterimage and moves the body. It was so fast that it created an illusion of cutting the real body.
“Who are you?”
First reaper shouted as if to shake off his fear.
Who was Blood Dark Blade Gahu Hyuk? He was the fifth of the Five Reapers, he was a practitioner of the highest level of martial arts, For such a person to be struck down by a bandit of unknown origin was unbelievable. Their eyes were about to pop out.
Then they realized that the bandit who was standing in front of them was not an ordinary guy. They were a bit late to realize that.
“Me? I told you before. I’m just a kind passerby.”
He still did not give up his claim that he was a Bandit.
Puduk!
As soon as the bandit finished his words, a hawk with precious blue feathers landed on his shoulder. It was a hawk with a noble and majestic blue feather, like the king of the sky. The hawk’s name was Thunder Hawk, and the owner was of course Bi Ryu-yeon, who was disguised.
These four were just unfortunate enough to run into him,. He wore a mask and disguised himself thoroughly.
A bad feeling licked the spines of the remaining four at the same time.
It was ominous. It seemed unlikely that it would end well.
If they had just swallowed their pride here, they might have avoided the disaster that was looming.
But the four of them, excluding the one who was already incapacitated, had too much hope in their numbers.
They thought they could push him with numbers, which was the most dangerous idea. They made the same mistake as The Phantom Swords.
They harbored rebellious thoughts. Of course, the price was cruel.
“Die!”
They had already made up their minds and exchanged glances.
The blades flashed in the air. They were fast and fierce, as befitting the subordinates of the King of Hell. Any ordinary master would have been torn to pieces by the full force attacks that came in without a gap. But the problem was that Bi Ryu-yeon was not an ordinary master.
What happened to them that day?
Bi Ryu-yeon succumbed to a sudden desire to test how hard their bones were and how tough their flesh was. So he did it. Of course, they were chosen as the sacrificial lambs. The leaders of The Five Reapers had no choice but to be helpless.

Whack! Whack!
“Kheuk kuek! Kraaaak! Huk euk huk! Kkiyao…”
Various kinds of screams erupted endlessly from the center of violence. That day, they had to scream their lungs out and get beaten up terribly. The name of the martial art that beat them like dogs was ‘Three Strikes Punch Technique’, a technique with a ridiculous name. The five of them had a precious opportunity to experience the technique, which boasted of being the most ignorant in the history of martial arts.
Why didn’t their blade taste blood as usual? Why did their attacks end up in vain? Why were they struggling in this pain? The leader of the Five Reapers could not find an answer to the overwhelming shock. He was just sacrificed in this one sided violence.
The situation ended in an instant. After the fire flashed and the beans were roasted in the fire, they lay on the ground with their faces bruised and got along well. They were the leaders of the Five Reapers.
They were the best of the King of Hell’s subordinates, and they boasted of being better than the Phantom Swords , but they were hit by a bandit and buried their heads in the dirt. It was unbelievable as reality, and too cruel as a dream. And it was too vivid.
Ouch! Ouch!
The feeling of bones being sore and tingling was telling them that they were not having a nightmare at the same time.
Something went wrong.
They should have blamed their stupidity for not thinking why there was such a bandit in the Wudang Mountain area, or how it was possible. They had to pay all their property to Bi Ryu-yeon, just like the Phantom Swords under Cheon Sal. They were in a situation where they could not even move a finger, so Bi Ryu-yeon had to work hard to collect them.
“588”
Bi Ryu-yeon smiled with a creepy smile.
The five of them were pitifully stripped. They tried to strip a woman, but they were stripped instead. It was karma. This was the best way to prevent them from hiding money. That day, ten people were stripped by Bi Ryu-yeon’s hand.
After this happened, they could not laugh at the Phantom Swords under Cheon Sal who came back stripped. Even if they kept the fact that they were stripped a secret, their bruised faces made them suitable targets for ridicule.

Short-term intensive special reinforcement training
Move with intention, not with qi.
The students of Cheonmu Academy, who did not know what was happening around them, were now training under Yeom do’s rough and fierce guidance.
It was called, short-term intensive special reinforcement training. The summer sun was so hot that it burned the skin.
“Move with intention, not with qi.”
The first thing Yeom do asked for was one thing.
“Move the water in the jar that is about five zhang or 15 meters away!”
“But don’t use your qi!”
The last condition was fatal.
“Yes?”
Everyone was shocked.
“How?”
It was a very hard thing. They were not sure if they could do it with their current ability. “Move the object with intention, not with qi! Moving it using qi is something anyone can do. Don’t squeeze out the energy to move the object, but move it with intention, with intention. Do it if you can!”
Yeom do would not leave them alone if they couldn’t.
“That… that…?”
With a gloomy face, the students had to do it. Their special training began.
Sweat poured down their backs.
How much time had passed?
They did not know how long they had been holding the posture of pointing the sword at the jar a little above the five zhang away and stretching it forward. Their muscles twisted and screamed. The water in the jar that was far away did not move at all.
If they used their sword energy, breaking the jar would be nothing! Why did they have to do this meaningless thing? They could not understand.
“You have to do this in a day!”
Yeom do shouted. The special training had been going on for two days already.
“Take control of your existence! Don’t try to move it with qi. Move it with intention. When the will arises, the qi will naturally follow. Concentrate!”
“If you lose your concentration, the enemy will not spare you. The world of competition is cold.”
“A master achieves a state of mind where they are in a different world, and a different time, when they are fully focused.”
Yeom do teaching was strict. He had a mission that he had to do.
“Don’t whine!”
The students barely maintained their posture. The posture they took was simple. They just pointed the sword at the jar and stretched it forward, while taking a horse stance and stiffening their bodies like a statue.
“Focus your mind!”
Yeom do kept emphasizing to focus their mind.
“Once the mind is scattered, it’s over. Before the scattered mind gathers again, the enemy’s sword will take your lives.”
Yeom do’s words were stern and firm. It was a desperate situation. They were now dancing on the edge of death. It was like digging a grave and erecting a tombstone to do such a harsh training in a surrounded state. It looked simple, but it required tremendous physical and mental strength. Yeom do’s voice was resolute in the short-term intensive special reinforcement training.
“Next to you, the lions of the Underworld are waiting. Will you be dragged away by them, or will you laugh at them while slaping their butt? It all depends on your efforts. Have you engraved it?”
“Yes!”
A loud voice burst out. Sweat, the product of their passionate effort, poured down their bodies. They had already sweated enough to fill a bucket.
But this was still just the beginning. The wall of trials was still blocking their way in double and triple layers. Whether they would overcome the obstacle of the trial or collapse under it depended on their own will.
The water was still still.
“Why doesn’t Bi Ryu-yeon participate in this training?”
Cheongheon asked during the training. It was an out-of-place question. He still did not break his posture. His leg muscles were screaming.
‘Damn, what a useless question…’
Yeom do wished they would refrain from asking such hard-to-answer questions. How come these kids have no consideration for others, not even a fingernail!
Yeom do grumbled and said sullenly.
“He’s hopeless anyway, so it’s a waste of time. He’s on surveillance duty now, so just ignore him!”
Yeom do took the opportunity to vent his anger briefly. When else would he get such a chance?
Bi Ryu-yeon was now performing a major task. But Yeom do could not tell the kids about it. It was a secret between Ryu-yeon and himself. He did not want to be beaten up for leaking the secret.
