The Vow of Purity 2

    The Vow of Purity 2

    +++

    That night.

In Sophie’s darkened room, illuminated only by the faint moonlight through the window.

    “…”

Sensing the approaching mysterious footsteps from outside, Sophie sat up on the bed, tightly clenching her thighs together.

    Soon, the door opened.

    “Oh, you’re he…re!”

Dressed in very light clothing, Sophie greeted Doyun, who had come to her room.

Her pelvis fidgeted, unable to conceal her desire and anticipation.

Doyun detected the fragrant soap scent filling the room and hints of moisture. From her slightly damp hair, she seemed to have just finished bathing.

After a moment’s contemplation, Doyun spoke.

    “…Sophie.”

“Yes! Have a seat on the bed! I, I’ll get down…”

    “No. That’s not it.”

    “Huh?”

Doyun explained his bodily condition to Sophie.

    “…Ah?”

Sophie’s pupils constricted as her face flushed deeply, greatly flustered.

    “Th, That… That’s, really… Ah, uwaahh…”

    “Sophie?”

Puzzled by her reaction, Doyun asked again.

“Sophie. Do you know the reason?”

    “That’s… Ah, ahh…”

She seemed utterly distressed, her large pelvis fidgeting incessantly.

    “I’m, I’m sorry…!”

And soon, Doyun heard an explanation he could never have anticipated.

    “That’s… my tribe’s trait… ‘Enticement’, it is…”

    “Pardon?”

“As I mentioned before… despite my tribe’s adherence to purity, we were branded ‘demonesses’ in our home dimension…”

This was what he had heard from Sophie at the Cradle.

“The reason was precisely… my tribe’s trait of En… Enticement…”

“…Did you use that on me?”

“No, no! This has nothing to do with my will!”

Misunderstood, Sophie’s pink eyes glistened with tears as she protested.

“A trait unrelated to your will…? Then do you know what triggers it?”

    “……”

From Sophie’s reaction – her face flushed crimson as she fidgeted her pelvis – Doyun sensed she knew the trigger.

However, it seemed too awkward for her to voice, as she could not bring herself to speak.

When Doyun grasped her shoulders, Sophie’s body jolted.

“Sophie. Tell me. We can’t leave this state unresolved, can we?”

    “…”

    “Sophie.”

He didn’t press further, waiting in silence.

After a long fidgeting of her pelvis, Sophie finally raised her head slightly and spoke haltingly.

    “……The trigger… for Enticement is…”

In her clinging gaze he briefly met, Doyun sensed an inexplicable foreboding.

“For me to… For me to…”

And suddenly, something he had long forgotten surfaced in his mind.

    ‘…Could it be?’

Doyun pulled up Sophie’s status window, specifically her trait list.

    Innate Traits:

    [Blasphemy Punishment]

    [The Vow of Purity]

Hesitating from that ominous premonition, he ultimately accessed the long-forgotten [The Vow of Purity].

    “For me to… desire… Doyun’s…!”

As Sophie’s sluggish response reached him,

    Doyun accessed that trait’s information.

    [The Vow of Purity]

(An innate power of the phantasmal spirit, the Unicorn.

Purity is your identity. However, purity does not necessarily equate to virginity.

Purity (純潔) and Chastity (貞操) are one and the same. When you someday devote your purity to a man, according to the Vow, you must maintain that chastity for life.

You can only become pregnant by the seed of the man you devoted your purity to.

Your body will strive to obtain the seed of the man you love.

While maintaining the chastity of your devoted purity, your divine power and potential will greatly increase.)

“The trigger for Enticement is… for me to desire… Doyun’s child…!”

Unable to fully vocalize it, Sophie erupted those words in anguish.

    “…”

Doyun was rendered speechless by this completely unexpected revelation.

For Sophie, Doyun’s ensuing silence felt excruciatingly harsh and painful.

    “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry…”

Having unintentionally confessed something she had never anticipated, against her own will, the tender-hearted Sophie sobbed.

The fact that she liked this extraordinary Doyun – a Boss Monster Killer who had now even slain a Legion Commander – felt so shameful to her. Utterly distraught, she could only apologize endlessly.

    “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…”

Watching Sophie, Doyun felt this had been inevitable.

    “…Sophie.”

Grasping the sobbing girl’s shoulders, Doyun spoke.

    “Do you like me?”

    “Yes…”

Her voice, moist with tears, trembled violently.

    “I like Doyun… I want to have Doyun’s child…”

Their already ruined relationship, the most dreadful situation conceivable.

As if screaming her heart out, she had laid bare her innermost feelings to Doyun, resigning herself.

However, Sophie jolted in surprise at the broad, warm embrace enveloping her.

    “Ah…?”

Dumbfounded, her slightly parted lips drooled reflexively.

Without any pretense, it had been an accidental confession forced by her cursed nature. A dreadful moment.

    And yet…

    ‘What is happening now…’

Doyun pondered as he held Sophie close.

Over 200 years, he had truly received much love. And this had been crucial for maintaining the bonds of a guild.

Emotions should be excluded from causes, yet Doyun knew. Feelings could ruin people far more easily than imagined.

An unrequited woman’s love and despair were never something to be dismissed.

Doyun could scarcely recall ever loving anyone himself. His emotions had all withered from ages and war.

But he had always strived to make the women who loved him feel ‘loved’ in turn.

    “…Sophie.”

    “Y, Yes?”

She answered with a trembling voice, utterly flustered.

“Sophie is truly an alluring woman.”

    “Yes!?”

    “I’m not joking.”

Sophie’s heart raced upon hearing Doyun’s honeyed words.

However, Doyun’s next words reflected the cold, harsh reality.

“But… I don’t love Sophie. Not just Sophie, but I haven’t felt such emotions for anyone in a very long time.”

    “…”

“In this ongoing war, I cannot start a family with Sophie, nor can I love only Sophie alone.”

Burying her face in Doyun’s chest, Sophie silently shed tears.

She wanted to push him away instantly, tell him it didn’t matter if it was after the war. That it didn’t matter if he was with other women too.

She yearned to beg and cling to him desperately.

But this wretched body could only tremble uncontrollably. Her emotion-choked throat could not produce words, not even sobs.

However, Doyun’s words did not end there.

“But… I want Sophie to be happy.”

    He spoke sincerely.

Doyun did not accept these women solely for the pragmatic continuity of the team.

Someone’s unconditional kindness, the emotion of love – these were things to be grateful for in themselves. Doyun had always wanted to reciprocate accordingly.

And whether his former guild members or Sophie now, they were all precious family to him. Doyun truly wished for their happiness and strove to provide it.

He wanted Sophie to be happy.

“I may not love Sophie yet… but I don’t know what the distant future holds. Sophie is an alluring woman, after all.”

    “…!”

Sophie’s breath caught in her throat.

“If Sophie is alright with it, I wouldn’t mind such a relationship.”

Her heart pounded as if about to burst, her entire being eagerly awaiting Doyun’s next words. Time seemed to freeze.

    And finally.

“I want to try my best to give Sophie love.”

    “!!”

In that instant, her breath stopped.

    “Is that okay?”

    “Ah, ahh…”

Still choked up and unable to speak, Sophie fidgeted restlessly.

She had to answer quickly! Before Doyun changed his mind, she had to respond swiftly!

Of course, Doyun fully understood Sophie’s distress. He did not rush her, patiently waiting.

Eventually, Sophie could only nod vigorously as she tightened her embrace, her flowing tears thoroughly drenching Doyun’s bosom.

The supple, feminine body – the pliant form of a female craving him – clung to Doyun.

“It’s, It’s okay…! Anyway, anyway it’s really hard for my tribe to get pregnant, so even after the war… And, and we originally practice polyandry! It’s all fine! So, um…. So… Ah…”

    Please don’t abandon me.

Her voice failed her again, her throat once more constricting.

However, Doyun soothingly caressed her restless back, as if reassuring her.

    “I understand. Don’t worry.”

Doyun gently pushed Sophie’s body away, prompting her to flinch and cling to him even tighter for a moment, as if frightened.

But his warm hands resumed caressing her back with a tender touch, as if handling a beloved woman. This allowed her to relax her tensed body.

Cradling Sophie’s back and head, Doyun slowly laid her on the bed.

In the dark room, her moist pinkish eyes glistened in the moonlight streaming through the window.

Gazing into those eyes brimming with love,

Doyun gathered every ounce of sincerity from his parched, long-arid emotions, and spoke.

    “Thank you for loving me.”

    “Ah…”

Hot droplets streamed down her eyes once more.

    And Doyun kissed Sophie’s lips.
