    Chapter 97.1

    Chapter 97 – Rule 30: The Disciplinary Committee Leader Doesn’t Lose (6)

Despite having reinforced his body with magic power, Hong Kyu was hit with a tremendous shock.

When he looked up at the man who had slammed him into the ground, he saw fierce turquoise eyes staring back. It was Ahn Woo-jin, his face devoid of emotion. Beyond him, the soldiers of Gluttony were falling from the sky in disarray, not even knowing when they were sent flying.

Suddenly, Hong Kyu felt a sense of déjà vu.

This situation… Wasn’t it similar to what he had experienced at the funeral?

Woo-jin released his grip on Hong Kyu’s face and raised his fist. Hong Kyu hurriedly summoned the Predator on his arm to target Woo-jin.

    But—

    Boom!!

    “…!”

The Iron Dragon Staff sprang out, crackling with a powerful electric magic, swinging fiercely and sending the Predator flying.

The level of magic was entirely different from the lightning magic used earlier.

    In other words—

‘He’s recovered his magic power!? How…!?’

There was no time to be surprised.

The Predator shattered into pieces, and Hong Kyu’s blood splattered everywhere. Just as Hong Kyu was about to scream, “Gaaah…!”

    Woo-jin swung his fist.

    Boom!!

    “Ugh!”

The immense impact rushed in, sending a shockwave that made the ground cave in.

    “Kyaaah!”

Hong Bin was nearly swept away by the force, stumbling backward as she struggled to keep her balance.

Hong Kyu felt his consciousness slipping away.

“Didn’t I say this was boring?”

    “W-Wait….”

    Woo-jin swung his fist again.

    Boom!!

    “Gah!”

Hong Kyu’s face was crushed, teeth and blood spurting out.

    “Is it fun now?”

    “Stop…!”

Woo-jin swung his fist once more.

    Boom!!

    “Aaah…!”

Woo-jin continued to throw punches rapidly.

    Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

Even a renowned powerhouse in Neo Seoul wouldn’t survive the relentless blows that pounded into Hong Kyu’s head, leaving his face mangled. Woo-jin’s fists were drenched in blood.

Hong Bin could sense that approaching Woo-jin would inflict severe physical trauma. If it weren’t Hong Kyu, even surviving a single punch would have been impossible. Each strike was like a deadly weapon.

    “Oppa!”

Hong Bin summoned arrows enveloped in magic power all around her.

The intensity of her magic output was at its peak.

    Fwoosh!!

The brilliance of the magic arrows intensified, filling the area.

    Unique Ability: Hunter.

Magic Technique Type 2, ‘Single-Point Shooting.’

Each magic arrow possessed tremendous piercing power. That was the strength of a Hunter.

‘He’s ascending in Tier at this timing…!’

Hong Bin immediately grasped the situation.

Woo-jin had ascended in Tier. Simultaneously, his blocked magic circuits had been completely cleared.

Whenever one ascends in Tier, a phenomenon occurs. Just like a dam filled to the brim bursting and releasing its water, magic power floods in explosively.

Woo-jin had stepped into a new realm.

    “Stop right now!!”

Hong Bin aimed her crossbow at Woo-jin, her voice tearing as she screamed.

    Thwack! Thwack!

    The crossbow fired.

Countless magic arrows shot toward the target.

The arrows etched trails of light in the sky, leaving no room to find an opening. The target was solely Woo-jin.

Hong Bin, using her Hunter’s ability, could control the trajectory of the magic arrows. In other words, the barrage of magic arrows pouring down like rain were homing arrows targeting only Woo-jin.

    But it was pointless.

Woo-jin’s senses sharpened, and he became aware of each magic arrow. He had already surpassed the realm of human capability.

    Crack!!

    “!”

A mass of fractures appeared in the air. Before the magic arrows under Hong Bin’s control could avoid them, they all vanished beyond the cracks.

Cracks soon surrounded Hong Bin, like an encroaching curtain. Woo-jin had gained the ability to manipulate even the form of the fractures.

    “Bin-ah!!”

Hong Kyu let out a desperate scream.

Hong Bin, overwhelmed by the sheer pressure of the cracks, widened her eyes in terror, unable to even think of escaping.

No, escape was impossible. She knew too well that the fractures would follow her.

    And then—

    Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!!

    “Aaaah!!!”

A chilling scream that seemed to tear through the air echoed.

    Unique Ability: Space Domination.

Magic Technique Type 3, Reversal Space.

As the curtain of fractures subsided, Hong Bin was revealed, her body pierced all over by numerous magic arrows, blood pouring from her like a waterfall.

    Thud.

Hong Bin collapsed onto the ground, the magic arrows dissipating into light. Blood gushed from her many wounds, forming a pool around her.

With her disfigured face, Hong Bin looked at Hong Kyu.

    “Oppa…”

    “Bin-ah!! Bin-ah!!”

Leaving those words behind, Hong Bin lost consciousness.

Still clinging to his own, Hong Kyu looked at his sister’s horrifically battered state, swallowing hard. His face twisted into a mask of rage.

    “This, this…! Aaaagh!!!”

Hong Kyu gritted his teeth fiercely, then roared as he pushed his magic power to its limits.

Woo-jin moved away and watched Hong Kyu. Soon, Hong Kyu’s entire body began to swell, transforming into a monstrous form with numerous snake heads, revealing a massive maw.

    A grotesque creature.

After the Celestial Ritual Resonance, this was the most powerful means Hong Kyu possessed.

    Unique Ability: Shikigami.

    Magic Technique Type 5, ‘Hydra’.

Hong Kyu hated taking on this form.

He despised becoming a monster. But against the current Woo-jin, he had no choice.

In this form, he could endure Woo-jin’s electric magic power.

    [Ahn Woo-jin…!]

Hydra Hong Kyu’s voice was distorted.

[How dare you, how dare you hurt my sister!! You dare!!!]

“‘My sister,’ huh?” Woo-jin smirked mockingly, a rare expression for him.

“Well… I expected it to come to this.”

Woo-jin shrugged his shoulders, responding nonchalantly.

    [You damn bastard!!]
