    Chapter 94.1

    Chapter 94 – Rule 30: The Disciplinary Committee Leader Doesn’t Lose (3)

    ‘Dalbi…?’

It was hard to contain my shock. I could only stare at Dalbi with wide eyes, locking gazes with her.

Dalbi’s lifeless eyes were fixed on Hong Kyu.

As she raised her sword, Hong Kyu let out a chuckle and walked toward her.

‘There’s a barrier here… No, did this bastard accept Dalbi as an ally? What’s going on…?’

One thing was certain: the barrier had allowed Dalbi’s entry.

Was it because Hong Kyu considered Dalbi an ally?

    I couldn’t be sure.

“Sigh… So this is how it ends.”

Hong Kyu scratched his head irritably, though the corners of his mouth twitched as if he was suppressing a smile.

“I should’ve set the barrier’s permissions more strictly for the Zero Zone… The problem is, I can’t change it midway.”

“Why don’t you blame the Head Principal? She’s the one who gave you that order.”

Dalbi’s voice resonated from behind her mask.

    Hong Kyu’s expression hardened.

“You cocky little shit. How dare you not address the Head Principal with proper respect?”

    Grrrr!

The many mouths attached to the magical structures of the Heavenly Banquet Offering opened wide, spewing forth something with a sickening noise.

Grotesque figures, each shimmering with dark crimson magical energy.

They were bizarre beings, each bearing an enormous mouth.

They were the derivatives of the Heavenly Banquet Offering.

    The Army of Gluttony.

Anyone attempting to disrupt the God of Gluttony’s feast would have to face the Army of Gluttony.

Hong Kyu shoved both hands into his coat pockets and sneered, his face twisted with bulging veins.

“You’ve always annoyed me. Acting all defiant against the Head Principal like you’re something special.”

    “…….”

“Honestly, thanks. Saves me the trouble since you came here to die.”

    Hong Kyu raised his arm.

“Let’s settle this here and now.”

He immediately swung his arm down.

    Wham!!

The Army of Gluttony charged at Dalbi all at once.

Their rapid movements were unmistakable. Judging by the sheer amount of magic power they exuded, even a 7th Tier expert would find it challenging to face them.

But Dalbi showed no sign of retreating.

    Fwoosh!!

Flames erupted around Dalbi, spreading wide. From the raging fire, numerous goblins sprang forth, wielding clubs.

    [Graaaahh!!]

    Her unique ability, ‘Goblin Sovereign.’

Magic Technique Form No. 1, ‘Goblin Summon.’

The goblins roared and charged at the Army of Gluttony.

A fierce battle broke out, but the goblins were no match for the God of Gluttony’s army.

The grotesque soldiers tore their mouths wide open and devoured the goblins one by one. The goblins were overwhelmed and defeated.

The soldiers were not born of Hong Kyu’s power.
They were fueled by the strength of the God of Gluttony, a being of a higher dimension than humans.

    Dalbi couldn’t hope to win.

    But her eyes never wavered.

    Swish!!

Dalbi hurled her sword fiercely at Hong Kyu.

    ***

Kim Dalbi had been a cheerful child.

Closing her eyes always brought back memories of past pain. Magic would wrap around her body, and the sensation of needles piercing her skin would torment Dalbi constantly.

But Dalbi smiled through it all.

Because smiling helped ease the pain.

Dalbi had always believed her choices were right. Meeting Oh Baek-seo and laughing together allowed her to become close friends.

    Dalbi was lonely.

That made her friend Baek-seo an invaluable presence in her life.

Being separated from Baek-seo due to the Head Principal’s manipulation had torn Dalbi’s heart apart.

Unlike physical pain, this was an emotional wound that cut deep, relentlessly tormenting her.

It was almost unbearable, but Dalbi forced herself to smile again, enduring the loss.

After moving to a new place, she survived by enduring harsh training under the Head Principal’s orders. Then, one winter day, she discovered a snow-covered field.

Bare trees were adorned with blooming snow flowers.

The entire white landscape was so beautiful that it drew Dalbi in.

When she exhaled, pale white breath like the color of snow flowers flowed out. Snowflakes danced gently as they fell from the gray sky.

Dalbi, bundled tightly in her winter clothes, left footprints in the snow. She felt joy. But whenever she looked back, all she saw were her own footprints, and her expression would often sink.

She wished she could walk this path with Baek-seo.

    “Hey!”

    That’s when a voice caught Dalbi’s attention.

Dalbi turned to see a boy. A child who seemed around her age.

Because of the thick snow, he wobbled as he walked, occasionally stumbling as he struggled to approach her.

    He looked determined, almost desperate.

Dalbi found his appearance curious and waited quietly for him to get closer, feeling a mix of anticipation and bewilderment.

Eventually, the boy stood in front of Dalbi.

    “Who are you?!”

His question wasn’t aggressive. It was simply loud. Perhaps he was nervous, causing his voice to come out awkwardly.

Dalbi flinched but stared blankly into his eyes. His thin eyes held beautiful teal pupils.

    “…Who are you?”

    “I’m Ahn Woo-jin.”

    The boy introduced himself.

    “I’m Kim…, Eunha.”

Dalbi started to introduce herself but remembered she shouldn’t and instead blurted out the first fake name that came to mind.

“But why…? Did you have something to say?”

    “No…, not really.”

    “?”

    Woo-jin answered seriously, albeit awkwardly.

“I just wanted to talk to you.”

    Dalbi couldn’t understand Woo-jin’s response.

    “Why?”

    “Just because.”

    “That doesn’t explain anything.”

    “I don’t know what to say….”

    “You’re suspicious!”

“Wait, I’m not suspicious at all…! Huh?”

Woo-jin stopped mid-denial because Dalbi was giggling.

    Dalbi smiled brightly.

    “Your name’s Ahn Woo-jin?”

    “Yeah.”

“I was bored! Now that you’ve talked to me, take responsibility!”

    “Huh?”

Dalbi grabbed Woo-jin’s gloved hand with her own and started walking ahead. Woo-jin had no choice but to follow.

    But then—

    “Ah!”

    “Oof!”

    Poof!

Because of the heavy snow, the two kids lost their balance and fell forward. Both of them ended up buried in the snow, but they quickly lifted their heads.

The two children exchanged blank stares.

Both had snow in their hair, and their faces had turned red from the cold.

As Woo-jin looked on with a bewildered expression, Dalbi let out a faint smile. Then, she burst into laughter.

    “Pfft… Hahaha!!”

Woo-jin scratched his head awkwardly and chuckled along.

It was a cherished memory that Dalbi would never forget.

The sword Dalbi threw burst into flames, slicing through the snow-covered memories of a happy past as it spun like a blazing wheel.

    The target was Hong Kyu.

No matter how powerful the Heavenly Banquet Offering was, if the caster was eliminated, it would be nullified and disappear.

    However, it was futile.

    Clang!
