Chapter 91.1
by AfuhfuihgsChapter 91 – Rule 29: The Leader Does Not Tolerate Provocation (3)
Whoosh!
As the man grinned, a heavy magical power spread throughout the funeral hall, pressing down on the mourners’ skin.
The mourners’ eyes widened.
The density of the magic was incredibly high. Even though it didn’t seem like he was releasing his full power, it was still overwhelming.
It wasn’t hard to deduce that he had at least reached the 6th Tier.
An unreasonable gap in strength.
At the very least, it was a level that none of the old human mourners present could contend with.
Those with ample combat experience could gauge the power disparity against such a blatantly powerful foe faster than anyone.
Even Oh Baek-seo tensed up, placing her hand on the handle of her Hyunwoondo sword at her waist. A battle seemed imminent.
‘This bastard….’
Ahn Woo-jin narrowed his eyes.
The man laughed out loud.
“You’re making this fun! Yeah, you’ve got to come at me like this if I’m going to…!”
“Oppa, shut up and apologize already.”
“Huh?”
A woman, presumed to be his younger sister, glared daggers at her brother.
“Because of you… I ruined a pleasant meal.”
She looked visibly displeased with the situation.
For a moment, the man’s mouth clamped shut, and the surroundings fell silent.
Soon, he awkwardly laughed and quickly changed his stance.
“Ah~. My apologies, everyone! I seem to have misspoken!”
“……”
“You too, Mr. Disciplinary Committee Leader. Let go of this hand, would you? I said I’m sorry!”
At that moment, robots with sirens blaring rushed in. They were androids in charge of maintaining public order.
> [Warning! Warning! Cease all acts of violence immediately!]
> [Identity confirmed: Ahn Woo-jin, Disciplinary Committee Leader of Ahsung High School. Please hand over the offender to us immediately.]
This place was a neutral zone.
To prevent jurisdictional issues in the face of death, funeral halls or public cemeteries were managed by a separate agency derived from the Hanyang Federal Academy.
If Woo-jin subdued a criminal under his committee duties, the perpetrator had to be handed over to the managing authority here, as per the rules.
Woo-jin slowly released his grip. The man stood up calmly. He seemed indifferent, even though he had just faced a rough situation.
> [Please extend your arms.]

> [You are under arrest on charges including obstruction of business, defamation, and causing a public disturbance. You have the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney.]
The androids cuffed the man’s wrists, reading him his Miranda rights.
“Aah, this heavy, chilling sensation… How many years has it been?”
“Oppa, seriously, shut up. Your breath stinks.”
His sister scolded him while wiping the beef soup from his face with a tissue.
The man bowed his head toward the mourners.
“If I upset anyone, I apologize~.”
He continued, raising his cuffed arms and waving them cheerfully.
‘That level of restraint isn’t going to hold him.’
Recalling the magical power the man had just exuded, it was clear he needed more stringent confinement.
However, judging by his compliant demeanor, he seemed uninterested in fighting back. Was it because his sister had stopped him?
“My lovely sister, let’s go.”
“I’m still not full. Buy me something better when we get back.”
“Just say the word. I’ll get you anything for my little sister!”
“And shut that annoying mouth.”
Their conversation was unfitting for someone about to be taken away.
As the man was led away by the security robots, he whispered to Woo-jin as he passed.
“Let’s meet again? Now that we’ve clashed, we should settle this, don’t you think?”
The man smirked.
Woo-jin gave no response.
As if never expecting an answer in the first place, the man chuckled and followed the androids out.
…
“Ahsung High School, huh? They seem to have a sense of loyalty.”
Central Tower.
Spartoi Son Ye-seo, dressed in a nun’s habit, spoke to the Head Principal, who was gazing down at the cityscape through a glass window.
“The Disciplinary Committee Leader and the Student Council President from Ahsung High are quite something. Their resistance is laughable. They’re either shameless or stubbornly principled. Subtle pressure or threats don’t work on them.”
Ye-seo chuckled, shaking her head.
“So, you’re saying that even the Student Council President refused to comply?”
“Yes. He doesn’t seem like someone who can be swayed by money or trivial interests. I tried subtly threatening him, but it didn’t work either. He seemed scared, but it felt like he was determined not to back down. You know those types? The pure kind who pursue their beliefs, thinking they’re walking the righteous path without knowing how the world works. He’s exactly that. Should we take more aggressive measures?”
“No. The more aggressive we are, the greater the risk. This is just about capturing Ahn Woo-jin. Besides, that’s not a surefire way to secure him. There’s no need to take unnecessary risks for such a task.”
“Risk… So it’s all because of 1215, right?”
The Head Principal turned to look at Ye-seo.
“1215…? Ah, yes, that’s right….”
The Head Principal was gradually forgetting her purpose. Ye-seo constantly reminded her of that.
“Everything is just a minimal means to reduce risk. If they resist this much, there’s nothing more we can do.”
“Yes, exactly.”
“Goliath… To capture at least that monster, I need to have an ability comparable to his. Ahn Woo-jin’s ability… it’s absolutely necessary….”
The Head Principal looked up at the sky outside the window. Although she was slowly losing many of her memories, one of the things she could never forget was reflected in her determined gaze.
“I can’t be toyed with by Goliath’s unknown schemes. Not when he’s so arrogant, acting like the world is his…! That’s why I must… fight… cough!”
The Head Principal doubled over, repeatedly coughing up bloody phlegm.
“Yes. We can’t be played by men like Goliath, who live as if the world belongs to them.”
Ye-seo gently placed her hand on the Head Principal’s shoulder.
“That’s why you sacrificed so many children, right? Their sacrifice can’t be made meaningless.”
“Hah, hah….”
The Head Principal stopped coughing and took ragged breaths.
“Push yourself a little harder for your cause, Head Principal.”
*Bzzz.*
Just then, her smartphone vibrated.
“Head Principal, you have a call.”
After catching her breath, the Head Principal answered the call.
— Head Principal! I hope you’re well today!?
“…Yes, Kyoo-ya. What’s the matter?”
The person on the other end of the call was one of the Six Sinners.
A male student known as “The Glutton” in Neo Seoul—Hong Kyu.
— I heard that a dissenter who dared to criticize your intentions died, so I went over to laugh at his corpse! But do you know what happened there? Hahaha! Guess who I saw? The Disciplinary Committee Leader of Ahsung High School! That bastard slammed my head right into the ground!
Hong Kyu laughed loudly, enjoying himself.
The Head Principal narrowed her eyes.
“You’ve caused quite a scene.”
— Did I think it would turn out like this? Of course not! But hey, I got to see his face, so I’ll take it positively, positively. Oh, and I was released from custody quickly, thanks to you. Much appreciated!
