Chapter 9: Seven powers of God

After hearing Artemis’s story, I started to scheme in her domain.

Simply going to Zeus and ripping his head off had its limitations….

“I can’t do it so easily.”

When I waged war against the gods, I wasn’t as strong as I am now. I had no divine abilities or equipment.

    But things are different now.

However, it would be troublesome if all the gods attacked me at once.

They possess unimaginable abilities that would make even superhumans look weak.

So, I need to thoroughly screw over Zeus and then beat him legally…

What would piss Zeus off the most….

“I have the perfect method for that horny old man.”

He’s a god obsessed with women.

So, wouldn’t stealing Cheok Chaerin be enough?

And then I’ll bruise his ego by giving her even more amazing abilities.

It would be good to give her overwhelming abilities to make him look bad in comparison.

After solidifying my plan, I smiled wickedly.

    “Lady Artemis.”

    “What’s with that expression….”

The goddess looked at me uneasily.

I told her my plan to screw over Zeus and then ‘asked’ her:

    “Give me 50,000,000 coins.”

    “You robber.”

But what choice did she have?

This was the trap she, the cunning huntress goddess, had set.

I returned to my room with Artemis’s entire fortune.

    “Finally, I can buy one.”

A window popped up on the computer monitor.

There was a section for unlocking bestowal abilities.

    ****

    The pure white space.

    In front of numerous gods….

I made a declaration of war, not just a provocation, against Zeus.

I dared to flip off the highest god of Olympus and steal his woman.

But my mischief wasn’t over yet.

I held Cheok Chaerin in my arms.

Stroking her red hair, I asked:

“Are you sure you want to become my Incarnation?”

    “…Yes.”

Cheok Chaerin was frozen stiff, being in the presence of such great Constellations.

I felt a little sorry, but I had to start a public opinion war to screw over Zeus.

I patted her back and asked:

“What did Zeus do to you?”

“…Well, where should I even begin?”

“Tell me everything. We have plenty of time….”

As I gently stroked and patted her back, Cheok Chaerin’s cherry-like lips parted.

She seemed flustered by my sudden question, but she slowly began to speak, as if recalling the memories.

And she began her story calmly.

    “It was three years ago….”

The story began with a small, pretty voice.

Her tone, weary and worn down, was dry, as if she was talking about someone else’s story.

But as the story progressed, her voice began to fill with emotion, as if her heart was coming back to life.

    At first, it was calm.

    Then, anger.

And finally, the injustice embedded in her narrative.

“Did I do something so wrong?”

That’s how Cheok Chaerin’s story ended.

Cheok Chaerin, suffering because of a god’s whim.

A tragic story of a social creature being socially killed.

But the Constellations’ reactions were lukewarm.

[Hunter of the Moon consoles you!]

[Master of the Golden Apple expresses sympathy!]

[Mother of the Hearth cheers you on!]

    Goddesses.

Greek goddesses with grudges against Zeus.

Except for them, there was no particular reaction.

To gods, humans are just chess pieces.

    To give a simple example….

Yes, characters in a simulation game.

No matter how much you cherish them if their performance and appearance are good, it’s only to the extent of attachment.

They’re just a pity to lose, and their stories are something to skip.

Of course, just moments ago, I had said, “Your girl is awesome” to Zeus, so they weren’t interested.

‘But for me, who had to play politics during the zombie apocalypse, this is the perfect situation.’

Cheok Chaerin’s narrative is boring to the gods.

But how would they react if it were a weapon to taunt Zeus?

I asked her again with a sympathetic expression:

“Really? That the highest god of Greece acted so petty like a little girl…?”

    “…Yes.”

“Oh my! The King of Olympus, the wielder of lightning?”

I covered my mouth as if in shock.

Honestly, it was an exaggerated reaction, but I truly felt sympathy for Cheok Chaerin.

I deeply empathized, having experienced similar injustices from gods.

    So, with sincerity.

If I had the same power back when I was at war with the gods….

I said the words I wanted to say to Zeus back then.

“Olympus must be quite small indeed.”

A taunt, saying that Olympus must be small if it’s ruled by such a petty god who’s swayed by a single woman.

Of course, the gods who had lived for a long time understood the meaning and started spamming messages.

[He Who Follows Thunder laughs heartily!]

[Master of the Golden Apple shows interest!]

    [King of the Monkeys cackles!]

    [Fiery Mischief smiles slyly!]

Laughter from the Constellations of other pantheons.

Naturally, the Greek gods, as if embarrassed, didn’t send messages.

[Master of the Lightning Eagle roars!]

At that moment, the white space we were in vibrated.

To shake even this isolated space… he seems quite strong.

Even the other Constellations who were mocking him stopped sending messages.

I was leisurely admiring the power befitting the King of Olympus, but Cheok Chaerin next to me was trembling.

I put my arm around Cheok Chaerin’s shoulders to comfort her and pulled her closer.

    “It’s okay.”

    “But…”

“I told you, I’m much stronger.”

I smiled and reassured Cheok Chaerin, determined to carry out my next plan.

The ‘Zeus Screw-Over Plan’ consisted of four stages.

One: Steal the woman Zeus had his eye on in a space where all Constellations can see.

Two: Stir public opinion to make Zeus look like a petty loser.

Three: Prove who’s the more awesome god.

For the third plan, I smiled at Cheok Chaerin.

Since I made a contract with her as an Incarnation, I have to bestow at least one basic ability.

    “What ability do you want?”

“…I don’t know what kind of god you are, Constellation. I’m sorry….”

Cheok Chaerin apologized to me shyly.

I quickly waved my hand and reassured her.

“No, it’s natural that you don’t know since I’m a substitute from another dimension.”

    That would be a disaster….

If she knew my past, she wouldn’t be clinging to me like this.

She would be screaming and running away.

    Anyway.

I opened a window in the air, visible only to me.

And the 50,000,000 coins I received from Artemis.

    It’s time to use them.

    [7. [Ω] Nature – 50,000,000 coins]

The seven abilities I stole from Yahweh.

The power to divide creation, along with the rainbow, and bestow it upon humans.

I’m going to give Cheok Chaerin the fourth ability, Nature.

Of course, even the EX-rank [Cain’s Lineage] had limitations, so I couldn’t give her the absolute power as is, but….

I clicked on the window floating in the air and purchased it.

The power to freely control all of nature.

The abilities then broke down into smaller pieces and listed themselves in a scrolling list.

    An endless list.

Among them, the crucial item for the third part of my plan to screw over Zeus.

    [EX] Elemental Ability

The power to freely create and destroy all elements.

But even this, I couldn’t give as is.

It’s the power to control all elements freely.

However, I saw a nice name below it.

    • [SS] Lightning

I chose the SS-rank Lightning without hesitation and bestowed it upon Cheok Chaerin.

This concludes the third part of my plan.

Now, for the final, fourth plan, I just have to wait.

[Master of the Lightning Eagle scoffs!!]

    Zeus started mocking me freely.

He must have thought I couldn’t win since lightning is his domain and power.

    “What are you talking about?”

I smirked and said to him, because I know all about your abilities.

Then, I heard Cheok Chaerin’s surprised voice from behind.

    “Constellation… this… it’s strange!”

Cheok Chaerin was looking at her palm.

Parts of her body were transforming into reddish lightning.

I crossed my thick, muscular arms and smiled leisurely.

    “Huh? Isn’t that natural?”

I slowly approached the bewildered Cheok Chaerin.

    And carefully embraced her tightly.

    “Uh…?”

The parts of her body that touched mine transformed into lightning and passed through me.

She looked at her body with wide eyes, as if she hadn’t intended for that to happen.

As if she couldn’t believe her body had turned into lightning.

At that moment, the flood of messages from the Constellations also stopped.

“If it’s the power of lightning, it’s common sense that the body can also turn into lightning.”

    “Huh? But….”

“Do you have a habit of saying ‘but’?”

I approached Cheok Chaerin from behind.

And I reached out and stretched her cheeks like mochi.

Seeing her cheeks being pinched so easily, it seemed she was already controlling her lightning transformation.

You’re much better than I was.

I teased her by stretching her cheeks from behind and asked for her opinion.

“How is it? Do you like it?”

    “Bu… No, I mean, yes!”

Good, it’s nice to see her speaking confidently.

And I looked at the frozen message windows of the Constellations.

Zeus must be speechless after seeing this.

    A mere minor god.

A nobody who doesn’t even govern lightning… casually presented a superior version of his prized power.

To provoke Zeus, I lightly kissed the top of Cheok Chaerin’s head and asked in a low voice:

“So? How does it compare to Zeus’s?”

I released her cheeks and hugged her from behind, telling her to speak comfortably.

I whispered to Cheok Chaerin, “If possible, say something that would anger Zeus.”

    Cheok Chaerin glanced at me.

    “It’s embarrassing, but….”

    Her blushing face was cute.

    I winked to reassure her.

Seeing that, Cheok Chaerin nodded and spoke to the air.

Leaning comfortably against me, her face flushed as if in love….

“It feels much better than Zeus’s flimsy, weak lightning…♡”

[Master of the Lightning Eagle screams….]

    …….

That wasn’t what I had in mind.

Anyway, the fourth and final stage of the ‘Zeus Screw-Over Plan.’

    Pissing off Zeus was complete.
