〈 Episode 83 〉Liberation

When Max arrived, he saw Eva, her hair disheveled, about to jump into the hole.

Max felt a burning sensation in his heart and vomited blood. He had borrowed the Mana stored in the entire Lair, but it was the price for using Magic that was impossible to cast even in his dragon form.

He secured the rope to a protruding part of the wall and quickly ran to the pit. Max found Eva, her body tilted and being sucked into the center of power. Her expression was bewildered, her mouth open as she fell, which was ridiculous, but the situation she was in was not funny at all.

Max checked the rope and immediately jumped into the pit. As he fell, he hugged Eva, who was as stiff as everything around her, and crashed into the wall.

Max groaned from the impact and began to climb up, holding onto the rope.

But the time allowed to Max was only a fleeting moment, and the stopped time began to flow again.

As time moved, Max felt the thrilling power of the vortex on his skin and his eyebrows furrowed.

Max cursed his past self for drilling a hole leading to the center of the swirling Mana out of mere curiosity. But no matter how much he cursed, it was already done. Max felt a terrible gravitational pull at the center of the force, and it felt like his hands would fall off. In the meantime, Eva regained consciousness.

Max’s physical strength in human form was not bad, but it was not enough to hold Eva in one arm and grab the rope with the other. Max wore the most wronged expression in the world when he heard those words. Eva chuckled and looked around.
