    Chapter 74 – Day 74

    Day 74

    ■■■■-.

    The beast laughed softly.

It had erased the being that stood in its way.
Now, all that remained for it was to savor a new universe, a new dimension, a new galaxy.

    However.

    ■■■-.

After briefly showing a pleased smile, the beast now let out a dissatisfied cry.

It had been pushed too far away.
Who would have thought that such a small being would possess this much power.

Come to think of it, erasing that small being just now was only possible because the opponent momentarily faltered and showed an opening.

If it weren’t for that, how much longer would this fight have lasted?
It was even doubtful whether it could have won.

But in the end, it had won, and.
Therefore, it was enough to take what belonged to the loser as the right of the victor.

With that thought, it was the moment when the beast was about to move again towards Earth, hidden somewhere among the nine heavens.

    [Splat. Splat. Splat.]

From somewhere, a strange sound echoes.

At the same time, the empty outer space filled with darkness darker than darkness began to fill with brilliant and diverse colors.

    Red. Orange. Yellow. Green. Blue.
    Purple. Black. White. Brown. Pink.

Along with colors so major by human standards.

    Sheffield Steel. Ultramarine. Cobalt Blue.
    Prussian Blue. Marie Louise. Denim.

And even minor colors that only experts would know.

The origin of the various colors filling the vast universe was the space where a small existence had been, which had disappeared without a trace as the beast clawed and passed by.

The space that had once been erased along with the small existence had long since been filled with a new space due to its original recovery power.

It was when the beast was looking curiously at the scene of various colors bursting out from such a space, engulfing the empty outer space.

    [Splat. Splat. Splat.]

    That strange sound from earlier.
The sound that was faintly heard when the colorful colors burst out, echoes once again around the beast.

    ■■■■-.

As the beast let out a low growl, the space trembled.

    Who could it be.
Who on earth would be playing such a trick on it.

The beast looked around with such thoughts, but couldn’t find any trace of anything.

This fact revealed only two things.

One was that the being playing such tricks was of a higher rank than itself.
The other was that all of this was its own delusion, and in fact, there was no annoying prankster.

However, both of these possibilities were impossible.

The former possibility of a being higher in rank than itself appearing here did not exist.
The latter possibility that all of this was its own delusion was even more impossible.

With that, the thousands of eyes embedded throughout the beast’s body emitted sharp glares, scanning in all directions.

At some point, various brilliant colors threatened to engulf even the beast.

    ■■■■■-!

The beast roared at the colors that dared to try to swallow it.
At that, the brilliant and diverse colors that were swallowing the empty outer space began to lose their color, turning only into darkness.

Colors were still emanating from the ‘space’.
The ‘beast’ devoured these colors, returning them to darkness.

How many days did this tedious standoff continue?

    [Splat-. Splat-. Splat-.]

    Again.
Once again, a strange voice echoes.

However, what just echoed was quite different from the sounds until now.

From that moment, a change occurred in the colors the beast was devouring.

    The various colors turn red.
The color that had returned to darkness after being devoured by the beast turns red once again.

    It reddens. It reddens.
It reddens. It reddens. It reddens.
It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens.
It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens. It reddens.

Everything in sight is dyed red.

The beast, seeing such a red color, felt an inexplicable eeriness.

    ■■■-?

    The beast tilted its head.

    It felt eeriness?
Doesn’t that mean it felt fear?

It, the great beast, feeling fear?
And to something that’s merely a ‘color’?

At that sudden question, the thousands and tens of thousands of eyes embedded all over the beast’s body simultaneously furrowed.

    [Splat-.
    Splat-]

    Something.

As that sound echoed simultaneously from outside and inside, the surrounding colors changed once again.

What was merely a color melted down sluggishly, eventually becoming blood with a pungent metallic smell and flowing down.

As if everything around was made of blood, creating such an illusion, the beast, disgusted, swung its front paw.

    □□□-.

Without any sound, the space that had melted into flowing blood disappears without a trace.

The beast’s enormous front paws swing once, then again, erasing spaces without filtering.

    But.

    “It’s useless.”
    [Is it useless?]
    [They say it’s useless.]
    “Hee-hee, they say it’s useless?”
    [Why is it useless?]
“Sob, sob, it’s useless. How sad.”

    Devoid of any emotions.
A voice that is both singular and plural, without any pitch variation, echoes.

Yet, strangely, this voice that is both one and many was swirling with numerous emotions.

In some voices, there was joy.
In some voices, there was anger.
In some voices, there was sadness.
In some voices, there was compassion.

    One yet many.
A voice devoid of emotion, yet imbued with a single consistent feeling.

The beast knew all too well who the owner of that voice was.

    Naturally so.

    ■■■■.

The beast’s mouth opens slightly, and through that gap seeps the beast’s will, incomprehensible and inaudible to mortals.

The endlessly echoing voice saying ‘It’s useless’ suddenly stopped.

    “Isn’t that because I didn’t disappear?”

At some point, the space that the beast had erased was once again filled with blood.
A woman walked out from within it.

The red blood flowing down the woman’s body soon transformed into an alluring yet beautiful dress.

The woman’s hair, reaching down to her waist, was so pure white. It held such a pristine whiteness that just looking at it felt like it could burn one’s eyes.

In contrast, the woman’s eyes possessed an abyss-like darkness that seemed capable of swallowing even that pure white color.

A woman with pure white hair and eyes holding an abyss.
The woman, wearing a stunningly beautiful red dress, was riding on a colorful lotus flower.
Above her head, a black halo in the shape of a dharma wheel was positioned.

    ■■■■-!

The beast, confronted by the suddenly appeared woman, howls.
Its massive mouth opens wide, letting out a roar that seemed capable of pushing away even concepts.

    However.

    “Shh.”

    □-!

    The woman.
As Cheon Seoa brought her straightened index finger to her lips and spoke softly, all sound disappeared.

Or more precisely, the concept named ‘sound’ fled, avoiding Cheon Seoa.

    Nevertheless.

“To be honest, I was surprised at first. I thought you were ‘her’.”

In the space where even the concept of sound had fled, Cheon Seoa speaks as if it were the most natural and obvious thing to do.

That ‘she’ mentioned by Cheon Seoa is an existence so ancient, so old, that even those called great revere and worship her.

One of the true masters of this vast and empty outer universe.

The black female goat of the forest with a thousand offspring.

Even for Cheon Seoa, it was a being whose true name could not be carelessly uttered.

    However.

    “It wasn’t. You weren’t her.”

Cheon Seoa said, slowly shaking her head.

    That beast was not her.
It was not her manifesting in the guise of a beast.

That was merely one of the thousand offspring.
Just one of the many children she had given birth to.
If that beast had been the real ‘her’.
‘It would have been a bit difficult in the current state.’

But still, that beast was her child.

    Therefore.

“I thought it was strange, but it made sense.”

Beings so old, so ancient, that they came to be called great.
Why the status of that beast, which initially caused a misunderstanding with them, was so high. Why that beast possessed power not granted to them.

And why that beast had ‘freedom’ not allowed to them.

All those questions were now answered.

It was obvious from the beginning.

    That beast was her child.
That’s why it could so ‘freely’ devour everything in my universe.

    That’s why that beast.
    Her child made one mistake.

No, it was a mistake but not a mistake.
Originally, it shouldn’t have been established as a ‘mistake’, but that beast. Her child became a ‘mistake’ by meeting Cheon Seoa.

    That beast.
The one and only fatal mistake that her child made.

    It was.

“See, it would have been better if you had retreated obediently when I warned you.”

    Cheon Seoa’s hometown.
The fact that it tried to devour the planet, the universe, the galaxy, the dimension where Cheon Seoa resided.

That was the one and only fatal mistake that beast made. Furthermore, her child made.

    Clunk-.

It was when Cheon Seoa was staring at that beast, her child, with eyes filled with the abyss.

The halo above Cheon Seoa’s head, shaped like the Dharma wheel, a symbol representing the teachings of Buddhism, turns once.

    At the same time.

“Ah, I’m looking forward to it. What should I make with you as a ‘material’? Should I make a dharma treasure? Or should I reforge a spirit pill? Whatever I make, if I grind you up to make it, it will be an extraordinary item. Perhaps it will be an item that even I can use without any shortcomings.”

As Cheon Seoa speaks and moves, a deep ripple spreads out from her.

The beast. Her offspring charged forward with a soundless roar towards the ripples spreading from Cheon Seoa’s center.

    Grrrr-!

As the beast with a massive body that couldn’t even be conceptualized in numbers, her offspring, charged forward, the entire space made of blood shook.

    However.

Though it shook, the space did not collapse.
The charging beast, her offspring, could not escape this space made entirely of blood.

    The reason was simple.

Because Cheon Seoa, the master of this space, did not allow it.

To escape this space without Cheon Seoa’s permission.

“It would have to be her herself, or beings of similar caliber.”

Saying so, Cheon Seoa smiled seductively and slowly stretched out her hand.

    Now.

    “I’ll take you.”

It was time to take the ‘material’.
