Under the afternoon sun.

My ex-girlfriend Yoo Eun-ha whom I met by chance that day invited me to lunch.
After thinking briefly, I accepted her proposal without any particular thoughts.

‘Hmm… if it was me from not too long ago, I would never have accepted.’

Honestly speaking, after being dumped by Eun-ha in such an unreasonable way, I resented her quite a lot.

That’s because I was very devoted to Eun-ha, yet was betrayed by my girlfriend despite that.

Though I knew Eun-ha was a self-centered woman, I tried to handle it, but Eun-ha didn’t understand me.

In the end, I was dumped, and naturally from my position, I couldn’t possibly like Eun-ha.

I was probably the person who resented Eun-ha the most in the world.

‘Now it feels like seeing just a friend…’

But now, I don’t feel anything when I see Eun-ha.

It just felt like seeing an old friend.

Surprisingly, the flutter I used to feel seeing Eun-ha in the past had now disappeared.

‘I guess time really is the answer…?’

There are several reasons for this, but the fact that two months had passed since breaking up with Eun-ha was probably the biggest.

After experiencing various things during those two months, I had already forgotten about Eun-ha for quite some time.

Naturally, various emotions about someone I didn’t even think about were bound to be forgotten.

I didn’t particularly feel good about her, but I didn’t feel bad either – just a normal feeling.

    ‘A meal should be fine.’

    That’s why I accepted Eun-ha’s dinner invitation.

Since it felt just like meeting an ordinary friend I used to know, neither good nor bad.

And also because it was hard to refuse when Eun-ha asking me to eat together seemed somewhat desperate…

Anyway, we arrived at an upscale Japanese restaurant near the Hunter Association.

    And stepped inside.

    ‘It’s been a while since I’ve been here…’

The place we arrived at by Eun-ha’s suggestion,

Actually, this place was very familiar to both me and Eun-ha.

It was a place we always visited when eating together while dating, one of our regular date spots.

    “Welcome.”

As we entered the store, the Japanese restaurant chef wearing a hat greeted us with a bright smile.

“It’s been a while for you two. About two months? I’ve missed you not coming by.”

The Japanese restaurant chef greeting us familiarly, there was a reason he treated us so warmly.

Because we’re quite close. During the 7 years Eun-ha and I dated, we came here about once every two weeks. Naturally, we had a relationship of seeing each other’s faces for quite a long time.

It was natural for the chef to look somewhat regretful about not seeing us for almost two months.

    But it couldn’t be helped.

For us, this was just a date spot after all, and after breaking up with Eun-ha, it became a place I rarely visited.

The restaurant owner probably doesn’t know we broke up yet.

“Hahaha. I’ve missed you too. Not being able to eat your cooking.”

I gave a simple greeting to the restaurant owner and was served delicious Japanese dishes along with his hearty laugh.

‘The food here is delicious indeed.’

And I started inhaling the food deliciously.

    — — —

The full course of upscale Japanese dishes spread out before her eyes.

Though it was a feast of dishes that all looked delicious, Eun-ha’s eyes weren’t particularly drawn to the food.

Such food didn’t hold much value for Eun-ha.

S-class Rank 1 hunter, Eun-ha, she could eat such food whenever she wanted.

She could have chefs from her hotel come out to serve her.

Though she rarely did such troublesome things, anyway the food wasn’t particularly important.

    But…

    Si-woo was different.

Si-woo wasn’t something she could get just because she wanted.

She could only see Si-woo for this moment right now.

So now Eun-ha felt she wanted to take in Si-woo with her eyes more than the food before her.

‘He really is handsome no matter when I see him…’

    Si-woo was truly handsome.

He was so handsome that most celebrities couldn’t compare.

And lately he had become even more handsome.

Eun-ha who dated him for 7 years knew best that Si-woo was handsome, but now she was feeling it anew.

She couldn’t help but feel flutter seeing her handsome ex-boyfriend.

‘And he was even devoted to me…’

Moreover, Si-woo was kinder than any other person she had met.

Even when everyone who seemed like they would give her their liver and gallbladder turned their backs as soon as she lost her powers, Si-woo tried to take care of her instead.

Though Si-woo must have hated Eun-ha… he still took care of her.

Eun-ha remembered the kindness she felt then.

A warmth that seemed to well up from inside her heart.

It was like an addictive feeling she absolutely didn’t want to let go.

‘Why am I really acting like this…’

Eun-ha’s eyes kept going to Si-woo throughout the meal.

    Eun-ha couldn’t take her eyes off Si-woo.

Like being drawn to a magnet, her eyes kept going to her ex-boyfriend’s face.

And as her eyes took in Si-woo, the corners of her mouth naturally lifted.

Even just looking at him, her expression couldn’t contain her joy.

    She couldn’t understand herself.

To be happy just from seeing her ex-boyfriend’s face…

‘Ah… why am I acting like this! Am I crazy? Ah…! I’m so annoyed with myself…!’

An unacceptable situation for the proud Eun-ha.

So even though Eun-ha discovered herself acting this way and got annoyed at herself asking why she was doing this.

No matter how many painful or sad thoughts she had, it was useless.

Her eyes that held Si-woo’s face just kept creating smiles even now.

    ‘Haah… really…’

Eun-ha resented her face that had already thrown away pride.

Eun-ha spent a full 10 minutes fighting with her emotions like that.

She was exhausted just from that.

‘Haah… reminds me of when we were dating.’

After finishing organizing her emotions like that.

When Eun-ha looked at Si-woo again, memories of the past came to mind.

Her ex-boyfriend Si-woo right in front of her eyes now.

Imagining dating him again, that is.

‘I didn’t even know how happy that was back then…’

Before breaking up with Si-woo, it was very sweet.

Though Eun-ha would complain and boss him around and Si-woo would accept it all, there was still love.

For 7 years, Si-woo cherished and loved her.

    Eun-ha took that for granted.

Since she was naturally someone who deserved to be loved, she wasn’t particularly grateful to Si-woo for that.

Rather, she was someone who dumped Si-woo asking why he wouldn’t worship her.

But now, Eun-ha found herself slightly missing that relationship.

    Those sweet daily moments.

Though it was a one-sided romance with a superior-subordinate relationship, Si-woo liked her so much.

Without complaining, he loved her endlessly.

    ‘… Going back wouldn’t be bad…’

Somehow she felt like wanting to go back to that time.

Though it was a thought she would never have had before.

For some reason, Eun-ha had such thoughts now.

    Dating together again…

‘Should I ask to date again?’

So she briefly thought about confessing her current feelings to Si-woo.

Her bringing up such words to Si-woo first…

‘No… I’m Yoo Eun-ha… how could I do something so embarrassing.’

    But Eun-ha shook her head.

Her pride still couldn’t accept that.

Pride was still too important to Eun-ha.

She was the S-class Rank 1 hunter.

The most outstanding person in this world.

Such a hunter absolutely shouldn’t ask her ex-boyfriend to date again.

This was too important an issue for Eun-ha.

‘I wonder if Si-woo won’t ask me to date again…?’

    So…!

    There was only one way.

If Si-woo asked her to date…

A setup where she specially agrees to date him.

    That’s the setup she wanted.

If such a situation came, she could start dating Si-woo again without throwing away her pride.

    ‘Wouldn’t there be a possibility…?’

    Eun-ha looked at Si-woo’s face.

Si-woo eating deliciously with a happy expression.

Eun-ha held a bit of hope while looking at such Si-woo.

    — — —

While eating for a while, I looked at Eun-ha in front of me.

‘Why is she looking at me instead of eating?’

Eun-ha didn’t seem particularly interested in the food.

Rather, she kept glancing at me.

I found such behavior from Eun-ha slightly strange.

Originally, Eun-ha is a woman who eats very well normally.

It was strange for such an Eun-ha to not be greedy for food like this.

‘Is she on a diet or something?’

But I didn’t think it was that strange.

My younger sister Si-eun also often holds back on delicious food using diet as an excuse.

Since women often do that, I thought simply.

‘Then that means all this food is mine?’

And thinking that way made me feel good.

Thanks to that, I could eat more food.

    ‘Sweet…!’
