    Chapter 73: Still, It’s a Game

At least, Kamael felt that way.

    What just happened?

Clearly, they were having a serious conversation just a moment ago, and she even got slapped.

But how did it suddenly turn into a kiss?!

And a rather passionate one at that.

Seyul was showering her with fervent kisses.

Kamael couldn’t understand it, so she froze.

    Thud.

Soon, her legs gave way, and she collapsed to the floor.

It was around then that Seyul stopped kissing her and let her go.

Kamael, slumped on the floor, looked up with dazed eyes.

Seyul, also looking down at her, began to speak.

“Even after returning, I kept thinking about you.”

The various regrets he experienced in the other world.

These things kept popping into his head, tormenting Seyul.

But among them, what tormented him the most was Kamael, who wouldn’t completely leave his mind, not even while playing games.

Proof that he still loved her.

So, Seyul decided to be honest with his feelings.

    “Let’s get back together.”

Without any other words, Seyul abruptly asked her to date again.

Kamael, completely taken aback by the unexpected words, gave him a bewildered look.

“Are you, are you forgiving me?”

“No. Don’t misunderstand. I’m not asking to get back together because I forgive you, but because my love for you hasn’t faded.”

    “Th-then you’re not forgiving me?”

“If you want to be forgiven, be good to me from now on. Then I’ll think about it.”

So, in other words, he can’t forgive her, but he wants to date again, so they’ll date for now.

    And he’ll forgive her later?

Kamael, dumbfounded by the absurd words, looked at Seyul with a cold sweat.

    “…Okay, I understand.”

But she soon changed her attitude and nodded.

Just like Seyul, she was still in love with him.

“I’ll be good from now on!”

    “….”

Seyul stared blankly at Kamael, who spoke hastily.

    ‘Yes, this is enough.’

    He couldn’t completely reject her.

Nor could he just gloss over what Semi had done.

This was the best Seyul could do.

The best he could do because he couldn’t forgive her but still liked her.

With the conversation roughly finished, their relationship was vaguely restored.

Now it was time to talk about what was truly important.

“What exactly are the villains and monsters?”

Seyul finally asked the question he should have asked first.

“You said earlier that something dangerous is happening in my hometown. The appearance of Zecross is because of that. That dangerous thing must be referring to monsters and villains.”

Kamael nodded in a weak tone.

“Yes, that’s right. They’re the problem threatening your hometown. To be precise, it’s not monsters and villains, but Wilds and Hatan.”

“Hatan? Is that the real name of what are called villains?”

    “That’s their true race name.”

Kamael took a deep breath and began to explain in earnest.

“The dimensional version of the universe is called the multiverse, and just as there are countless planets in the universe, there are countless worlds in the multiverse. My hometown, or the world you call the other world. Among them, the powerful worlds are places like my hometown, the Celestial Realm, or the Spirit Realm, and the world to which the Hatan belong is also one of those. It’s similar to your world, but much more advanced.”

    “Advanced?”

“Not only is the technology advanced, but even the people are more developed. If the other world is fantasy, then that place is like science fiction.”

Space battleships fly around in the world itself, and all sorts of futuristic weapons are commonplace.

    Races living on other planets.

There are many so-called aliens, and some of these aliens have special superpowers.

“The Hatan are a fairly powerful race in this world, and they’re famous as a warrior race. They’re also warlike. They enjoy combat and conquest. The reason they came to your home world is to conquer it.”

    “Why bother?”

    Seyul frowned.

It didn’t make sense that they would go all the way here to conquer it.

“Those guys have even succeeded in space exploration, right? Then they should go to another planet in the same world, so why would they cross over to a completely different world and do this?”

“Because they’ve explored space. Interplanetary exchange is active, and there’s even a space-based international organization that binds several planets together. In this situation, invading another planet recklessly is a big risk.”

They could instantly become outcasts on a cosmic scale.

They would be subject to economic and military sanctions, and the power of their race would certainly decline significantly.

So, the Hatan devised another plan.

To attack a world that had nothing to do with their world and whose location was unknown.

“I’m sorry to say this, but the place where you were born is a backwater. Even if it’s invaded, no one will intervene, and they might not even know it’s being invaded. We wouldn’t have noticed either if we hadn’t been keeping a close eye on the world where you were born.”

For Zecross, it was an unintentional stroke of luck to kill two birds with one stone.

“So, the monsters, the Wilds, are like biological weapons sent by these Hatan or whatever?”

“Didn’t Vanessa tell you? Wilds aren’t biological weapons, but ancient monsters that have existed since ancient times. Seyul, powerful races usually have intelligence to match, right?”

“Yeah, even our dragons are like that. Beings without intelligence basically can’t deviate much from the level of ordinary plants and animals.”

“But that wasn’t the case in those old ancient times. Even before the human race was born, there were very few beings with intelligence. Wilds refer to the ancient high-ranking races that have lived since this era.”

    Powerful but without intelligence.

These beings, with only animal-level instincts, were very attractive to villains.

“It’s possible to tame them like humans raise animals and use them as subordinates. The ones they tamed and sent here as vanguards are the true identities of the monsters.”

    “I see.”

With that, the explanation was over.

Seyul, having heard everything, nodded heavily.

“Then I guess we have to go kill all those Hatan.”

He said it lightly, as if he were going for a walk.

    “Let’s do it.”

    Kamael readily agreed.

Seyul looked at her with strange eyes.

“That’s unexpected. I thought you’d try to stop me?”

    “Why would I?”

“You’ve only been providing indirect technical support so far.”

“That’s because we had a shortage of manpower and other problems. Now that you’ve returned and expressed your intention to subjugate them, there’s no need to do that anymore.”

Excluding god-level beings throughout the entire multiverse, Seyul is one of the top-ranked powerhouses. It’s not just like gaining an army.

“Even if Hercules helped, it couldn’t be more reassuring than this.”

    “Hercules exists too?”

“He exists not here, but in a world where mythology is actual history. But he’s weaker than you. In addition to you, Vanessa will also help you in various ways. And…”

    “And?”

“Since I, since I got back together with you. If I use the justification of helping my lover’s hometown, I can also break free from restrictions and help.”

Kamael said shyly with a flushed face.

“The three of us are more than enough.”

    “I guess so.”

A total of three Seyul-level powerhouses.

No joke, they have the power to catch even gods.

“However, we can’t go right away. I need to contact the higher-ups and go through the procedures first.”

    “How long will it take?”

    “It’ll take a while.”

    Seyul muttered, “I figured.”

They wouldn’t easily allow him to go to another world and make a mess.

He thought it was a valid delay, so he accepted it without saying anything.

    And after a while.

    “U-um, excuse me?”

    Kamael hesitated, looking around.

Now that the explanation was over, she didn’t know what to do.

She didn’t know if she should leave as is, so she just watched Seyul’s expression.

    “Let’s eat ramen.”

    Then Seyul blurted out.

    That day.

    Kamael stayed at Seyul’s house.

“Actually, I don’t really like ramen that much.”

    The next day.

Kamael, who woke up at Seyul’s house, grumbled while eating the ramen that Seyul had cooked for her.

“I’m eating it because my beloved is cooking it for me.”

“Shut up and eat what you’re given.”

Seyul also grumbled while eating the ramen he had made for breakfast.

The two of them eating ramen together.

It was an unremarkable scene, but it became a picture because of their beauty.

Seyul was wearing his usual bottomless outfit that covered his lower body.

Kamael also received clothes from Seyul, so she was wearing a similar outfit.

However, Kamael is a bit bigger than Seyul.

The clothes were small, so she looked even more precarious.

After finishing her ramen, Kamael wiggled her slender, smooth legs and said.

“But Seyul, why didn’t anyone come home yesterday?”

No one came home while she was there.

When she asked because she was curious about that fact, Seyul said nonchalantly.

“My sister is often away from home because of work.”

“Then what about your younger sister?”

“…She has some things to do.”

She must not have come home because of what happened yesterday.

Seyul seemed to know, but he didn’t bother to look for her.

‘Now is the time to leave her alone.’

In this situation, trying to find her might be counterproductive.

Seyul was going to leave her alone for the time being.

    ‘Let’s play games for now.’

Since he had nothing to do right now, Seyul was going to start playing games as usual.

When he brought the dedicated device from the room, Kamael looked at him with surprised eyes.

“Are you going to play games?”

    “Yeah.”

“Are you perhaps playing God’s Warrior?”

“Yeah, I’m going to finish what’s left.”

“Then let me play with you too.”

    “…What?”

Surprised by the sudden, strange words, Kamael said.

“That’s actually a two-player game. So let me play with you too. I won’t be a hindrance.”
