Chapter 64 : A walk
by fnovelpia
A chilling cold enveloped my entire body.
My legs began to tremble uncontrollably.
I wrapped myself in the blanket to protect myself.
“Ugh…”
When I slightly opened my eyes, Yena was wide open the window.
‘What’s with her this early…’
She wore an enigmatic expression as she looked outside.
I stared blankly at the scene while hugging my rolled-up blanket.
“What is it…”
My words slurred from sleepiness.
Her ears twitched slightly before she turned to look at me.
How did she even hear that tiny sound?
Soon, her usual pitiful expression vanished in an instant.
“The sun is already high. How many hours—”
“Uwaaah…! Stop nagging… Shut up…”
Her scolding tone made it seem like she’d snatch my blanket any second.
I gripped the fabric tightly, defending my beloved blanket.
‘Well, it’s not really mine, but…’
Anyway, it’s the weekend—just let me rest…!
With the window wide open, my sleepiness completely vanished.
Lying still and blinking, my mind gradually cleared.
In the end, I had no choice but to get up and wash.
After a quick rinse, I saw Yena stuffing her feet into sneakers.
“…Where are you going?”
“Ah, just a short walk. Wanna come?”
“Hmm…”
I didn’t think long.
It’s not like I had anything better to do at home.
A walk would be a nice change of pace.
“Sure. Let me just change first.”
Yena nodded cheerfully.
Then, she pulled something out of her pocket.
A strangely familiar object.
“Uh, that thing, huh…?”
“Just once. It’s my wish.”
“No, you already used your wish last time…”
This time, it was a wireless rotor.
Looking at the pink object resting on her palm, that familiar, prickling sensation returned.
‘Why does she even have this at home…?!’
Plop.
Yena knelt down, eyes sparkling as she looked up at me.
“Just once.”
“No. I said no.”
Basically, she wanted to see me walking outside with the rotor inside, embarrassed.
I forced down the irritation bubbling inside me.
Even after my refusal, she kept staring up at me.
“…No means no.”
After one more rejection, she finally stood up, dusting off her knees.
Her expression looked like a dethroned king.
Geez, if I refused any longer, she’d probably start crying.
I braced myself for the next attack.
The next step would probably be physical force, right?
Then, I’d have no choice but to reluctantly give in…
“Hmph.”
My face flushed red on its own.
I turned away sharply and crossed my arms, reinforcing my refusal.
But Yena’s reaction was more lukewarm than expected.
“Fine… If that’s how it is…”
“Huh?”
She shook her head slightly and tapped the toes of her sneakers against the floor.
The rotor in her hand disappeared back into her jacket pocket.
Wait. She’s giving up this easily?
I had a whole plan for how to refuse!
I was going to reluctantly agree after some hesitation…!
Annoyed, Yena turned her back to the door and faced me.
Her expression was completely indifferent as she spoke.
“Hurry up and change. I’ll wait.”
“…Yeah.”
“Ah, just grab anything from the closet.”
I nodded and headed to the bedroom.
‘…This is fine. I don’t regret it at all.’
Jeans and a white T-shirt.
Let’s keep it simple.
Just a moment ago, I wasn’t myself.
I must’ve been possessed.
There’s no other explanation.
Yena’s place was in a pretty good location, with a city park right in front.
We walked along the path under the warm sunlight.
Since it was lunchtime on a weekend, there were quite a few people around.
I spotted families out together, too.
Two women in their 30s with two little girls… an unusual combination, but not rare.
Surely they weren’t both mothers or anything like that.
Watching the kids giggle and tickle each other was oddly healing.
But more importantly, the lover holding my hand as we walked.
Even though I almost had to do something embarrassing earlier,
now she was just smiling like nothing happened.
“It’s a rare weekend—don’t you wanna do anything?”
“Uh…”
The sudden question caught me off guard.
I didn’t have anything in mind.
I was a homebody to begin with, and nothing came to mind.
“Not sure. What should we do?”
“I don’t have anything specific either…”
“Yeah, what else is there?”
Just spending time together is a date in itself.
I let go of her hand and tightly wrapped my arms around hers instead.
Flinch.
I could feel Yena’s shoulder trembling noticeably.
What’s with this sudden shaking?
I didn’t have to wait long to find out why.
Her chest was pressed firmly against my arm, almost trapping it between them.
“Hehe… You like this, huh? Hmm? Hmm?”
“……”
This pervert of a girlfriend…
Someone was biking toward us from a distance, so I quickly pulled my arm away.
It’d be embarrassing if others saw.
A cyclist in tight-fitting clothes whizzed past us.
When I turned back, Yena was glaring at me with a mischievous smirk.
“Ahem, ahem.”
“…You’re really— Ugh, never mind.”
“What? Want me to do it too? Tch tch.”
This was payback for the rotor incident earlier.
Well, who told her to pull weird stunts like that?
“Eek—”
Suddenly, I felt a hand on my butt.
Without any warning, she squeezed hard, making my waist shiver.
“The hell— Let go…?”
“You’re this sensitive from just a little touch, yet you act all fussy.”
“Hngk…! H-Hey! There are people ahead…!”
Doing this in public…
Honestly, though… it was kinda hot. Not bad.
‘Tch, she’s not buying it.’
I tried bluffing about people watching, but she wasn’t fooled.
So I grabbed her butt right back.
“Think I’ll lose? Grin…!”
“…You’re especially wild today, huh?”
The grip on me from behind grew stronger.
We kept walking noisily like that—me teasing her, her retaliating.
Before I knew it, we’d reached the end of the path.
Time to head back.
“Should we turn around?”
“Huu… Yeah…”
“Let’s stop now. I’m tired too. Promise.”
“Hey, promise. Yeah…”
I might’ve lightly climaxed along the way, but she didn’t notice… right?
Good thing I wore jeans…
If it’d been a skirt or shorts, she’d have found out ages ago.
‘No more embarrassing memories, please…’
In the distance, I spotted an apartment construction site.
It reminded me of the dorms.
“Yena.”
“Hm?”
“You’re not moving into the dorms, right? Since you already have a place.”
Why would she, when she’s got a proper home?
Probably stuck with a random roommate too.
A little disappointing, but nothing I could do.
Stick around too much, and she’d suck all the energy out of me anyway.
“Hmm… I’m still thinking. What about you, Hayul?”
“I’m obviously moving in. Way better than where I live now. At least the water’ll work properly.”
Yena’s expression darkened instantly.
Seems like she misunderstood.
Hey, it’s just that the hot water’s slow, not completely broken—
“Then I’ll go too.”
“Huh… Just like that? What about rent?”
“Hehe.”
“Don’t just laugh! What about your current place?”
Not that I’m in a position to worry about others’ finances.
But still, why waste money unnecessarily?
No matter how much I pressed, she just shrugged vaguely, never giving a straight answer.
“Oh right. If I make top 10, I could probably just kidnap you or something, right?”
“K-Kidnap…?”
“Like…”
Gulp.
My attention snapped to this sudden, bizarre topic.
“Forcing you into my room as my roommate.”
“Eek… H-Hey, you’re way too transparent…”
“So what? From that day on, I’d tell everyone—you’re mine.”
“…Yours since when?”
Mine, huh.
I didn’t show it, but deep down, it made me happy.
Having your lover be obsessed with you is flattering…
…as long as it’s not too extreme, like right now.
“Ah, but aren’t you not ranking high this time? You barely studied because of tutoring me.”
“True.”
“…Knew it. What ‘kidnapping’? Pfft.”
I playfully punched her shoulder a few times.
What’s with this heart-thumping nonsense?
Even if she was second in the school, maintaining that while tutoring me wouldn’t be easy.
“Then wanna make a bet?”
“Huh?”
“If I get first, you grant me one more wish.”
“…No. Pass. You’d actually do it.”
Now that I think about it… she probably could.
Dragging my tired body back home, I slumped into a chair, my loose waist melting into it.
“What do you want for dinner? I’ll order delivery.”
“Hmm…”
What’s the perfect couple activity for this timing?
Watching a movie with a drink.
I pulled out one of my secretly kept bucket-list items.
Pouring as much sultriness into my voice as possible, I whispered:
“Yena… Wanna have a drink together…?”
“No.”
“Ehk.”
That was way too fast.
Did I do something last time I drank?
But no matter how hard I thought, nothing came to mind.
“You don’t remember?”
“Uh… No? Did I mess up?”
“Haha…”
Why’s she looking at me like I’m pathetic?
My heart grew heavy.
“Tell me. What was it?”
“You know how some people turn into animals when drunk?”
“…Wait. Me? That bad?”
“Yep. And a… lewd kind of animal.”
“Wha— H-Hey…!”
Flustered, my words tangled in my mouth.
Too stunned to even protest properly, I shut up.
Now that she mentions it… I kinda remember.
Yena began recounting, in vivid detail, everything drunk-me had done.
Turns out… I’d been very handsy with her.
Like, enthusiastically so.
“Well, whatever. I’m not drinking with someone who gets wasted off one can.”
“…That was just nerves! L-Let me try again?!”
“Nope.”
