Chapter 60: Red Moon Bloodline (1)
by Afuhfuihgs“Hmm hmm hmm~”
Pixelwars Streamer Server.
Evening had arrived, and a red moon now hung in the sky.
A crimson glow ominously tinged the clouds—like it had soaked in blood.
But completely ignoring that eerie atmosphere…
Streamer Lavon hummed a tune as he walked through Belheim’s back alleys.
His steps were noticeably lighter than usual.
Lavon.
A male streamer and member of the Argon Clan.
Second only to the clan leader Argon himself in terms of skill.
In a clan that prided itself on elite, small numbers, each member’s ability was its strength.
Lavon was more than worthy of that trust—an ace among elites.
‘Man, today’s hunt was so profitable.’
He’d been especially lucky today.
He’d collected a nice haul of rare materials.
His steps toward the marketplace to sell them were practically skipping.
But the true reason Lavon was in such a good mood was something else entirely.
‘Damn, Silverhair was insane today.’
Earlier, in front of the underground casino.
Silverhair’s golden rain.
Lavon had been one of the lucky ones to witness and benefit from that scene of madness.
He’d been wandering near the casino looking for Argon and other clanmates.
And just like that, he’d arrived right when Silverhair started scattering gold.
The timing couldn’t have been better.
Sure, Silverhair had also promised to send 2 million gold to anyone who wasn’t present…
But honestly?
What he’d scooped off the ground was way more than that.
Embarrassingly so.
Just thinking of his now-heavy gold pouch made his grin stretch ear to ear.
‘With this kind of funding… I can keep my stream popping off until the server ends.’
The more gold you had, the more content you could make.
Even just pet summons or item enhancement streams would attract viewers in droves.
‘And Season 2 is basically confirmed. It’s not like this gold’s going to waste.’
Season 2 of the Pixelwars Streamer Server.
Rumor had it among streamers that it would be even bigger than Season 1.
Most importantly, some items and currency from Season 1 would carry over.
A dev policy to keep players invested as the current server neared its end.
In short, if you prepped well in Season 1,
you’d start Season 2 with a head start.
Lavon knew this, which is why he’d been grinding steadily even when off-stream.
Sure, the gameplay was fun enough by itself.
But in the end, gold was an investment in future content—
the livelihood of a streamer.
So the windfall from Silverhair felt like sweet, sweet honey.
‘Silverhair, bless your heart.’
Still grinning, he turned a corner down a dark alley.
Pixelwars’ nighttime visuals were so realistic, it was almost unsettling.
Especially in alleys like this, untouched by streetlights—
swallowed in pitch blackness.
‘Damn… even though it’s a game, this is kinda creepy.’
He felt a chill on his spine.
Not a soul in sight.
And then—
Step. Step.
Footsteps echoed down the alley.
Lavon instinctively turned his head.
Five silhouettes slowly emerged from the darkness.
And the one in front stepped into the faint red moonlight.
Lavon flinched.
He knew that face.
But he never imagined running into him here, at this hour, in such a sketchy place.
“…Kreetzone?”
Streamer Kreetzone.
And the four behind him looked like his clanmates.
The five of them moved in sync, surrounding Lavon.
“What brings you here? Did you need something from me…?”
Lavon forced a smile and asked.
He’d played with Kreetzone a few times before—they were acquainted.
Not super close, but friendly enough to grab drinks now and then.
But Kreetzone said nothing.
He just stared coldly down at Lavon.
Only then did Lavon realize something was wrong.
And then—
Kreetzone smirked.
Whether it was scorn or a smile, he couldn’t tell.
That was the signal.
CHIIIIK—!
The four clanmates simultaneously drew weapons from their waists.
Their sharp blades gleamed in the moonlight with a chilling metallic hiss.
All five of them rushed Lavon at once.
“G-Gahk!”
A perfect ambush.
Lavon didn’t even have time to react.
As skilled as he was, Kreetzone’s squad was made up of elite players.
They attacked with full force—there was no chance.
He tried to counter, but in Pixelwars,
which had a realistic physics engine,
being outnumbered was a massive disadvantage.
Within moments, Lavon’s HP dropped to zero.
CRACK—!
His avatar shattered into glowing particles.
All that remained were a few scattered items on the ground.
Kreetzone silently looked down at the spot where Lavon had vanished.
Only one name filled his mind.
Silverhair.
A transcendent force that appeared like a comet.
Brought in by Raidel using a golden ticket, not even officially streaming yet.
He had to admit it—
Insane game sense.
Inhuman reaction speed.
Ideas that broke every convention.
In every aspect, he couldn’t compete.
His recent string of defeats in events made that painfully clear.
‘Yeah… I lost. Fair and square.’
A bitter taste.
His ambition to become the server’s star lay shattered.
Now, all attention and spotlight had converged on Silverhair.
Especially after the legendary performance in the underground casino.
Even if he tried to claw his way up now, he couldn’t reverse that tide.
‘But… as a streamer, attention is everything.’
The “Traitor” System.
A system in Pixelwars where players could betray the human faction and join the monsters.
They’d attack other streamers and spread chaos across the server.
A villain role, essentially.
No one had used it so far.
It wasn’t outright banned, but in this streamer-focused server,
it was a massive taboo.
Streamers killing streamers, each with their own fandoms,
could spiral into a catastrophic flame war.
Streams would turn toxic, and viewers would leave.
So unless it was playful between close friends, PK was rare.
‘Sometimes, you just have to go for it.’
Normally, Kreetzone would’ve never taken this route.
He’d always aimed for safe, stable content.
But he refused to fade away in Silverhair’s shadow.
So he chose something radical.
Use the Traitor System.
If he couldn’t win in a fair fight, he’d blaze a new path.
If he couldn’t be the hero, then he’d become the ultimate villain.
Flashier, edgier, more viral.
A sly grin curled on Kreetzone’s lips.
Yeah, he wasn’t a righteous protagonist.
Villains suited him better.
“What do we do with the dropped items?”
A clanmate asked, wary.
Lavon had dropped some valuable gear.
“…Pick them up. We’ll return them later. If they disappear, we’re screwed.”
“Got it…”
“Let’s grab them quick. Don’t let them vanish.”
Kreetzone and his gang chuckled darkly as they picked up Lavon’s gear.
Their hands moved with exaggerated care, afraid of damaging anything.
More like an after-school villain club than real villains.
They weren’t trying to break the server—just roleplay a little evil.
Kreetzone wasn’t dumb enough to cross that line.
That’s why he picked someone he had some rapport with.
Once they’d collected everything, Kreetzone cleared his throat awkwardly.
“Ahem. Anyway, what’s the status elsewhere?”
Another clanmate jumped in immediately.
“Everything’s going smoothly. We spiked the giant soup pot in the banquet kitchen with poison. We’re looting the farm’s back entrance too.”
“Excellent. The opening strike is a success.”
Kreetzone smiled with satisfaction.
They’d just thrown the peaceful streamer server into chaos.
Then, one of his crew cautiously raised a hand.
“Kreetzone. Since we’re doing this… maybe we should name ourselves?”
A name.
Kreetzone paused to think.
Then looked up at the sky.
A massive, menacing red moon loomed directly above.
Bathing the world in a terrifying blood-red glow.
Kreetzone’s eyes gleamed.
With the moon at his back, he declared in a low, solemn voice:
“…Red Moon. Let’s go with that.”
The worst variable the server could imagine was born.
A crew of villains who craved the spotlight.
The first ever traitor faction—Red Moon—was formed.
“Alright, people. Let’s go live!”
And at the center of it all was Silverhair.
Soon, all ten of Kreetzone’s clan members would regroup.
The full power of the Kreetzone Clan.
Their one goal: the silver-haired girl.
No matter how skilled Silverhair was—
an ambush by eleven players would be too much.
“Let’s go get her.”
(TL note:
- “배신자 시스템 / Traitor System” – A system that allows players to betray their faction and join the enemy (monsters). In most MMORPGs this would be comparable to faction-switching or alignment-based gameplay, but it’s framed here as an almost taboo or extreme choice within the streamer server.
- “레드문 / Red Moon” – The villain faction formed by Kreetzone. The name directly references the eerie red moon hanging over the sky, reinforcing the dramatic villain origin tone.
- Kreetzone’s villain arc – This chapter marks a major tonal shift, with Kreetzone choosing the villain path and forming a faction. It’s a deliberate break from the usual “peaceful streamer RP,” meant to shake up the server’s status quo.
