    End Process (5)

“Let’s say we meet someone from the Order. What should we say to them to make them willingly guide us to where the treasure is and let us meet their representative?”

“Well… since the fate of the world depends on it…”

“The correct answer is to make it a public issue. In the name of the elves.”

I complained to the elf elders with a face that said, “Why don’t you know this obvious thing?” This was no longer an issue that could be resolved by a few people moving on a personal level.

The outside world will be ready to cooperate with countries, territories, and factions moving as soon as they recognize the problem. To get involved in such a large-scale affair, we naturally had to match that level.

“Are you saying we should establish diplomatic relations with humans?!”

“Is that such a difficult thing? It’s not even individual-to-individual exchange. I’m telling you to engage as faction to faction. Is even this too hard?”

Seeing the elders’ eyes widening in surprise, I held my throbbing head. This won’t do. It seemed it would take too long if left to time.

At this rate, the world might end before a proper elf confederation is formed.

“I dare say this. At this gathering where all the elders of every elf clan are present, establish a unified governing system for the elves. Create an organization that can encompass all clans. Council, parliament, senate, government – whatever name you attach doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if it’s grandiose. Just do it for now.”

I, who didn’t want to intervene as much as possible, stepped up to take the lead. I had no choice but to do it myself, knowing full well they wouldn’t do it unless I stepped in.

Of course, everyone around, including the elders, stirred at my declaration, but as I was glaring at them, they didn’t dare oppose and were just watching cautiously.

“We’ll call it the Grand Council. According to records, it was an inter-clan council that existed in the distant past, so we can carry on that will.”

“Good. Then from now on, the Grand Council with the participation of elders from all clans begins. The Grand Council will determine the opinions and actions of the entire elf race. For now, let’s make the members the chief elders who are the highest-ranking in each clan. Later, we can include second and third-ranking elders too.”

Quick and decisive. I set out what they should do and even the direction. A huge event that will go down in elf history is happening right now, in the middle of the night, in the back garden of the council of elders.

“Next, let’s choose a representative. Who wants to be the chairman?”

This is almost at the level of spoon-feeding and moving their jaws to chew for them. At the words to choose a representative, the elders rolled their eyes and started glancing at each other.

    “I, I recommend Elnar.”

    “I nominate Arno…”

The elves who had been watching cautiously started opening their mouths one by one, recommending someone or expressing their own desire to do it. It looked like an elementary school class president election with elders who were at least hundreds of years old, but there was no choice now due to lack of time.

“We’re doing it briefly like this because we’re in a hurry, but make sure to supplement the procedures and ceremonies later on your own. Then we’ll decide by vote.”

I made them vote by show of hands to select one representative who was most suitable as chairman. The representative was more of a moderator role who would lead and conduct the meeting, gather and organize everyone’s opinions, rather than a person of power.

“Then Elnar will serve as the first chairman.”

In the end, the person who received the most votes was Elnar. I didn’t stop there and continued to push the meeting forward.

“Th-Then from now on, we will discuss the first agenda of the Grand Council. We must send an envoy to the Order of Light to hatch the World Tree seed. Let’s hear your thoughts on how to do this.”

Elnar, who had suddenly become the representative, began to lead the meeting with a stiff face. Still, since everything was being spoon-fed to them, chewed for them, and even pushed down their throats to swallow, little by little, an organization that united the will of all elf clans began to roll forward.

“Given the current urgent situation, it has been decided to dispatch most of the personnel and resources from here for now.”

    “That should be enough.”

It was an all-night meeting. There were frustrating parts in between, but I deliberately didn’t interfere in those parts and watched as they discussed and reached conclusions on their own.

It was the moment when a force that united the will of the entire elf clan, who had been living scattered in small groups, was born, and its scale had grown to the level of a small kingdom.

“Head of the delegation: Ellua, Deputy head: Arisa.”

An official delegation with official documents from this elf force was created. They couldn’t make it too grand in order to move secretly and quickly, but that was better for now.

“This, if it becomes known, the ripples will be enormous.”

Patrick chuckled at the elf force created in just one night. After all, something that could potentially shake the balance of the continent had happened in an instant.

Since this happened entirely under my leadership, I awkwardly avoided his gaze.

“We’ll move along with the elf delegation too. I need to go along to see if the holy water is effective or not.”

“Be honest. It’s because you’re worried about your descendants, right?”

When I instructed my companions that we would move with the elf delegation, Patrick smiled as if he knew everything. I couldn’t deny his words.

At first, I thought we would just have a relationship of mutual support, but now that things had turned out like this, I was worried like a parent watching their child left by the water’s edge.

‘Did I overdo it? Who am I to…’

I was anxious, still not free from doubts about myself. Worried that the results might not be good because of me.

“Does it matter? Look at them. Even though it’s a force created so hastily, they seem very proud. After all, the elves who hadn’t united for ages due to various reasons have finally come together as one.”

As if reading my expression, Patrick pointed at the elves. The elves were clearly both bewildered and delighted by what had happened overnight.

“How could they possibly have negative feelings towards an ancestor who easily achieved such a great feat for them?”

Even Patrick said that I had achieved a great feat. Something that not just anyone could do, only a High Elf returned from the distant past.

It wasn’t unpleasant to hear that I had been helpful.

“…Let’s just prepare to leave. I’ve given them a task, so it ultimately depends on how they solve it.”

Shaking my head, I decided to put aside unnecessary thoughts and focus on the task at hand.

The topic I had thrown to the Grand Council for sending the delegation was none other than where to plant the World Tree seed.

I thought that for the confederation to function properly, it was important how well they could coordinate on common interests.

If they really revive the World Tree seed, where to plant it is also important, so if they determine that considering everyone’s interests, they could get used to the Grand Council.

    “—!”

    “What’s this commotion now?”

But the commotion didn’t end there. While preparations for the delegation’s departure were in full swing, a noise carried by the wind tickled my ears.

    “I-Isilia!”

Lina and Laila, who had been called away by the elves earlier, came running with urgent faces. Since they were involved, I jumped up from the chair where I had been sprawled.

“What on earth is going on?”

When I asked them the reason with a bewildered face, both flustered women just opened and closed their mouths.

In the end, it was none other than the wind spirit who first told me the situation.

“What do you mean Ellua is trying to strip naked?”

Of course, the words of the wind spirit, which was at a child’s level, weren’t complete either. As I frowned at the confusing words, Lina, who had finally gathered her thoughts, began to speak calmly.

“You know that outfit you wore, saying it was battle gear, for communicating with spirits? It seems Miss Ellua has fallen for that idea too. I told her several times that even humans don’t usually wear such clothes, but…”

    “Oh, for heaven’s sake.”

What I had done to shock them had ended up poisoning the elves.

Dumbfounded, I went straight out of the room. Already in my mind, I was picturing Ellua wearing the clothes I had been wearing.

    “No. It’s too dangerous.”

If I were being honest, I would have shouted that it was too good, but I had to separate public and private matters. Compared to my meager body, Ellua’s body was too powerful.

That perfect body that exudes charm just from its curves even when covered in a dress that hides the entire body is too destructively powerful.

“High Elf. Will you really stop my daughter!?”

“It’s true that I’m the one who ran around dressed like that, but I don’t want the image of the entire elf race to be strangely fixed that way.”

In front of the noisy door, Elnar was pacing back and forth with an even more haggard face.

When I appeared, he grabbed my body as if prostrating himself, his appearance clearly showing a father’s desperation to correct his daughter who was about to go astray.
