Chapter 58 : Confession (2)
by fnovelpia
Thud!
Like a child being dragged around, I was roughly thrown onto the bed.
A faint pain spread across my back and waist.
But I had no time to be angry at such rough treatment.
“Miss Kalia, what on earth are you— Wait, why are you taking off your clothes?!”
“Well, we’re about to have sex—can’t really do that with clothes on, can we?”
Kalia, now straddling me, ripped off her top and simultaneously tore at mine.
Literally.
Grabbing the collar, she tore it apart with force, exposing my body against my will.
“I figured someone like you wouldn’t be able to make a decision unless I forced the situation.”
As she leaned in, I felt the weight of her upper body.
Her breasts, larger than watermelons, pressed against me.
Under normal circumstances, it would’ve felt euphoric—but right now, it was overwhelming.
“Why are you doing this?!”
“…You really don’t know?”
Moisture gathered in the corners of Kalia’s eyes.
Tears formed in her ruby-red eyes and began to fall, one by one, onto me.
A bitter and slightly salty taste touched my lips.
So this is what tears taste like.
“I heard everything from outside. The conversation inside the ger. You heard all about how miserable my past was from my father, didn’t you?”
She wiped her tears away roughly with the back of her hand.
Her chest heaved with deep breaths, and she finally poured out the emotions she’d kept bottled up.
“Then you should be able to answer me now. I even got my parents’ approval! Why can’t you just say that you love me, that you want to be with me?! Why won’t you?!”
Her head drooped down.
She brought her face close enough for me to feel her breath and kept screaming.
“I know you want revenge.
That everything you’ve done to ruin and destabilize the world has been for that reason alone.
That every single day, you live for that goal.
But still… even so! If you’ve set my heart on fire, the least you can do is respond to it!”
It hurt.
Physically and emotionally.
The large horns stabbed into me, making my neck throb in pain.
And the guilt of making my savior scream like this felt like a part of my heart was shattering.
“I’m not asking for much. Just tell me that once this is all over, you’ll keep me by your side. Just say you’ll make me your woman. It’s not that hard, so why are you hesitating?”
“…Because—”
“You even promised to create a nation for demons like me!
You accepted sleeping together in the same bed!
After all that effort you put into wooing me, don’t tell me you’re suddenly saying no now?
Just be honest.
You like me too, don’t you?
You want these big breasts, and you’re captivated by my beauty.
Otherwise, you would have had no reason to help me this much.”
Desperation and longing crossed her face.
Holding my face in her hands, she looked into my eyes and begged in a trembling voice.
“Then let me answer your heart first.
I love you.
I love you so much.
More than any man in this world, I love you the most!
The only person I want by my side is you!!
Even if you told me to serve you for the rest of my life, I’d gladly do it.
My body and heart have long since become yours.
I’m fine even if you take other wives.
It’ll hurt if I’m just a concubine, but I’ll endure it somehow.
It’s only natural for a great man to have two or three wives.”
Kalia hugged me tightly.
As if she feared I’d vanish if she loosened her grip even for a moment.
She cried out, breathless, pleading desperately.
“Just… let me stay by your side, Ishmael. If you leave me, I’ll have no reason to live anymore. Without you, I have no reason to exist.”
Eventually, she buried her face into my chest and burst into tears.
Her hot tears soaked through my clothes, and her arms tightened around me as if she’d never let go.
The woman who had always seemed noble had thrown away her pride, becoming utterly wretched for the sake of someone like me.
“If you need my body, you can take it whenever you want.
Use me whenever, treat me however you please.
No matter what you do to me, I’ll gladly accept it.
Just… please don’t abandon me.
I’m fine just being by your side.
Even if I’m nothing more than a tool for your lust, I don’t care…”
Beyond the pounding of her heart, I could feel the pain of her soul.
Seeing her cast aside the last remnants of her dignity, craving affection like that, made me realize just how cornered she was.
“…I’m sorry.”
In the face of her pain, all I could do was swallow my breath and apologize.
“But… I don’t think I can grant your wish right now.”
“…Why not?”
“My situation is far more complicated than you think.”
I gently pulled back and wiped her tears.
Her face was so red I couldn’t even tell where her eyes ended and her skin began.
“Kalia. Have you ever seen someone summoned to another world by a goddess?”
*****
Since she had told me her past, I figured it was only right that I told her mine.
I decided to share my secret with her—where I came from, and why I ended up in this world.
Whether it was believable or not, I told her everything just as I experienced it.
Kalia deserved to hear it.
I didn’t expect her to truly believe it, but I wanted to be honest with someone who loved me.
“—And that’s how I ended up here. From a professor to a beggar, and by luck, I met you. You probably won’t believe it, but—”
“No, I believe you.”
“I figured you’d say th— Wait, what?”
“I said I believe you. Every word you said.”
Contrary to my expectations,Kalia’s trust in me was unwavering.
“It’s a ridiculous story, sure. But it must be true. There’s no way you’d lie to me.”
She stopped crying, lifted her body, and rocked her hips.
Her ample breasts, swayed by the centrifugal force, slapped my cheeks twice.
Smack smack!
“Gffph?!”
“You fool. You couldn’t give me a clear answer just because of this? There’s a limit to how shy someone can be.”
Her breasts swung again.
A lust-filled form of violence.
She kept slapping me until my cheeks were red and puffy.
Once her anger had cooled, she grabbed my face tightly with both hands.
“Then let me tell you what you’re going to do from now on.”
Zkyuuuuung!
The kiss that followed was, without a doubt, the longest kiss of my life.
We didn’t mix tongues like in a French kiss, but our lips remained pressed together—one minute, two minutes—continuously, until it became difficult to hold our breath.
Without saying a word, we exchanged our love for each other in a trance-like state.
“You said you wanted to go home, right? To where your parents and friends are.”
“Yeah. I’m still not sure if it’s even possible, though.”
“Then take me with you. After we screw over that damn goddess, we’ll go together to that place called Korea.”
“…What?”
“Introduce me to your family and tell them, ‘This woman is my wife. She’s the one who’ll bear my children.’ We’ve already had the formal meeting on my side, so we just need to do yours now.”
And with full confidence, Kalia demanded it.
That she would become my wife and come with me to another world.
“…Are you sure? We might not be able to come back.”
“I’ll take that risk. Because a world without you means nothing to me anymore.”
She pressed her bare body against mine, gently caressing me.
Without a hint of hesitation in her voice, she gave her answer.
“Let’s burn this damned world to the ground and leave together. And if we can’t leave… then let’s build a family here. I’ll raise and take care of you for the rest of our lives.”
“…Take care of me? That sounds kinda embarrassing.”
“You’ve already been living like that. Don’t play coy now. Who’s the one eating the food I cook every day and relying on me to get by?”
I had no rebuttal.
Because the truth was, I did rely on her for a big part of my daily life.
“Anyway, enough chit-chat.”
My empty hand was forcibly placed on her backside—by none other than Kalia herself.
“Alright, it’s time for the final decision, Ishmael. You love me, right? Then prove it with your actions. Show me with your body that you love me, that you want to make me yours.”
At Kalia’s urging, I let out a small sigh in my heart.
And then, I gripped her firmly.
“…I’m not letting you sleep tonight.”
“Kyaaah♡”
*****
After that day, our relationship progressed rapidly.
Or rather, it would be more accurate to say we made up for all the time we’d been stalled—at once.
“Ishmael, over here!”
“I’m coming, stop rushing me.”
First of all, the way we addressed each other had changed.
I now spoke to her casually, and Kalia responded with polite honorifics—but without any formality.
What used to be mutual respect had shifted slightly into a hierarchical relationship.
That was because my wife strongly insisted on it.
She said it was only proper, since she was younger and in the role of serving her husband.
I didn’t mind the casual tone, and honestly, it sounded nice—so I agreed.
“Did you wash properly this morning? Your hair’s full of dust.”
“No, not yet. The river’s a bit far.”
“Let’s go together later. I’ll wash you myself.”
And her usual behavior had done a complete 180.
Now she didn’t hide her affection at all.
She clung to my arm boldly, rubbing her horns against me without caring who was watching.
Just like a cat rubbing its head, Kalia would press her horns against me and nuzzle.
It felt oddly nice.
“Our youngest, who used to be so guarded, clings to a man like her life depends on it now. Never thought I’d live to see the day.”
“Well, it’s a good sight, so let’s leave her be, brother. Better than living lonely and celibate for life with cobwebs down there.”
“True enough.”
“If our eldest sister who got married saw this, she’d probably faint.”
My siblings and foster parents were utterly shocked, but let’s move past that for now.
After spending a couple of relaxed months out on the great plains, news from the outside finally reached us.
It was shocking—tragic even.
“There’s a riot in Navre?”
The accumulated war fatigue had finally begun to show its limits.
