Chapter 56 : Rumors (2)
by fnovelpia
A uvula drenched in sweat.
Collarbone, chest, abs, a straight belly button, even a glimpse of the pelvic line.
“Slurp… gulp.”
Without missing a single detail, Fuyuno Tsubaki blankly licked her lips and swallowed the saliva pooling in her mouth as she stared at Yang Woobin’s bronze, insanely hot body.
“Tsubaki, water!”
“Ah—ah! O-okay, Woobin, I’ll go get it right away!”
But her daze while staring at his uvula and collarbone was short-lived.
Jolted by Yang Woobin’s request, Fuyuno Tsubaki snapped back to her senses and rushed off to get water.
With her no longer standing right next to him, partially shielding his body, Yang Woobin’s physique was fully exposed to view.
“W-Whoa… look at that body. It’s seriously, seriously obscene…”
“Can’t believe we’re seeing a guy like that at the academy…”
“Slurp, gulp. Do you think he’d let me ride him just once if I asked?”
The cadets, who were all exhausted from a week-long elimination survival training and had only wanted to rest, forgot about that entirely and just stared at Yang Woobin’s body in awe.
In a superpowered society where men weren’t expected to have modesty or shame, Yang Woobin’s shirtless display was enough to energize the female cadets watching—who suddenly no longer needed any rest.
“C-Cover up! What the hell do you think you’re doing, parading around like that?!”
But the steamy semi-nude show came to an abrupt end when Jin Sejeong, standing nearby, turned red in the face and took off her disciplinary officer’s long coat to drape it over his body.
Even though everyone was enjoying the eye candy, they couldn’t complain about Jin Sejeong ruining the moment.
No one dared.
Because Jin Sejeong was the unrivaled strongest in the entire first-year Jincheon class.
“There’s no reason to keep gathering here! Disperse, all of you!”
At her commanding tone, the cadets reluctantly dispersed, their mood completely killed.
Only Jin Sejeong and the still-lying Yang Woobin were left in the now-empty training ground.
“…”
“…”
The last conversation they’d had was a week ago, when Yang Woobin jokingly confessed about his “wild past (fake).”
Because of that, being alone with him now felt incredibly awkward to Jin Sejeong.
‘I don’t want to feel awkward… I want to feel comfortable around Woobin… How did it end up like this? Is it because of that embarrassing fake past? Is that why he feels awkward now? No, that’s not it. If I really felt uncomfortable with him, I wouldn’t even want to be near him. But I’m fine being here. It’s just… yeah, just a little awkward.’
If she said something—anything—it might break the silence and ease the tension.
But Jin Sejeong had no idea how to start.
“…It’s hot.”
Flap.
So it was Yang Woobin who naturally broke the silence first.
He picked up the coat Jin Sejeong had draped over him and tossed it aside.
“Huuh?! Gulp…”
Suddenly seeing his bronze skin, toned muscles, chest, collarbones, abs, and navel again made Jin Sejeong unconsciously swallow her saliva.
But as the disciplinary officer who upheld order in the Jincheon class, she quickly shook her head to banish the desire whispering in her head, “I want to lick Woobin’s navel…”, and pointed a finger at him.
“I-I covered you up for a reason! What do you think you’re doing, you shameless pervert?!”
“Hey! I’m dying of heat over here! Can’t you see I’m sweating? I want to take off my pants and underwear too, but I’m holding back—that’s me being considerate!”
“Wha—W-W-WHAT?!”
She tried to be the voice of reason and discipline, but his reply was too outrageous.
“Y-You want to take off your underwear, too…?”
“Yeah! But I’m holding back!”
Hearing Yang Woobin practically say ‘Honestly, I wanna be completely naked in front of you (twisted interpretation),’ made the pink-colored desires she had barely managed to suppress begin to creep back into her mind.
Moreover, since the training room was now a space with only Yang Woobin and Jin Sejeong, the thrilling intimacy of the situation only accelerated the intrusion of desire.
Her heart pounded, her head and face flushed with heat, and her fingers and toes twitched unconsciously.
“…Gulp.”
It was a fierce impulse she hadn’t felt even once in the seven years since she and Yang Woobin had parted—no, not even comparable to what she felt during their childhood days.
Overwhelmed, she forgot her duties as the head of the discipline committee and was just about to act on her desires when—
Crash!
“Woobin, I brought water! With ice floating in it!”
Fuyuno Tsubaki burst into the training room, holding a glass of iced water.
“Ah…”
“Oh, you’re back? Bring it here quickly.”
Just like that, the steamy and electrifying atmosphere that felt like her body was melting was instantly cooled down—as if someone had actually splashed ice water all over it.
‘If I had just three more minutes, I could’ve done this and that with Woobin… No—what the hell am I thinking?! Ughhh… My brain’s gone weird from talking about nothing but Woobin with Tsubaki all week! This isn’t just frustration—it’s insanity!’
Jin Sejeong almost let out a sigh of regret but quickly regained her composure and took a step back from Yang Woobin.
Not missing her chance, Fuyuno Tsubaki dashed over like a well-trained puppy and handed the ice water to Yang Woobin.
“Thanks, Tsubaki.”
“Hehe, it’s nothing.”
His throat had gone desert-dry from all the sweat still pouring down his body, so the iced water Tsubaki brought was a godsend.
“Of all the things I’ve gained since coming to Daecheon, you’re definitely the best. I’ll drink it well.”
“Huff…!”
With that heartfelt thanks, Yang Woobin easily took hold of Fuyuno Tsubaki’s heart, sat up, and took a cup of iced water, drinking it in big gulps.
Sssss—
As the ice-cold water entered his mouth, it made a hissing sound—like ice hitting a hot frying pan.
“Hm? What’s that sound?”
It was far too unnatural to come from a human body, so Jin Sejeong, who’d been grinding her teeth at Yang Woobin’s flirtation with Tsubaki, furrowed her brows and asked.
“Puhaha! Man… it’s refreshing, but I guess one cup of water isn’t enough after all.”
But even after hearing her, Yang Woobin didn’t respond.
“Hey, you two. You too, Tsubaki.”
“Huh?”
“Y-Yes, Woobin?”
Instead, he called the two of them and, breaking out in a cold sweat, said something else entirely.
“I’m about to pass out. Take me to the infirmary… please…”
Thud.
And with that, his body, which had just barely lifted itself, collapsed to the floor.
His eyes rolled back, and he passed out.
“Wha—?! What’s going on?!”
“Ahhh?! T-The infirmary! We need to take him to the infirmary!”
“Yeah, the infirmary! I’ll carry him princess-style, so you stay here, Tsubaki!”
“No way! I—I heard him say I should take him too! I’m going with him! And why princess-style? You could just piggyback him!”
“…It’s just how I feel, okay?! Anyway, I said I’d carry him first, so that’s that! …Heheh.”
“Ughhh…”
Jin Sejeong’s behavior, completely unbecoming of a discipline committee head and driven entirely by desire, made Fuyuno Tsubaki stare at her with eyes full of dissatisfaction.
But no matter how much desire fueled her actions, the fact remained that she was going to carry Yang Woobin to the infirmary, and Tsubaki had neither the reason nor the strength to stop her.
All she could do was clench her fists behind them in frustration.
“Ahem… Okay, Woobin. I’m going to, um, hold you now.”
Though Jin Sejeong had spoken confidently about carrying him princess-style, now that he was right in front of her, she suddenly felt shy.
After all, the only time she had ever embraced a boy was when she hugged 13-year-old Yang Woobin right before they separated—also at age 13.
She had to carry a fully grown adult man—bare-chested, with a ridiculously hot, tanned, muscular body, and that too, her delinquent childhood friend—in a princess carry?
Just imagining it was enough to make her mouth water from how enticing it was, but for Jin Sejeong, a virgin with absolutely zero immunity to men, it was beyond embarrassing.
‘No, get a grip, Jin Sejeong. This is an act of rescue. It’s something you, as his childhood friend, are naturally supposed to do to save the collapsed Woobin. What if something happens to him while you’re dithering because you’re embarrassed?! And besides, you’re going to end up doing this and that with him in the future—if you can’t even handle this, what will you do then?!’
But since she understood that Yang Woobin’s condition was serious, Jin Sejeong quickly pulled herself together and slid her arms under his neck and behind his knees.
“Ah—hot! Wh-What the hell? Why is he so hot?!”
The moment she touched Yang Woobin’s body, a scorching heat that felt like it could burn her made her instinctively wrap her arms in mana to protect herself.
The temperature was far beyond what a human body should be able to produce, and Jin Sejeong instantly forgot all her embarrassment, her expression turning deadly serious.
“Uh, wh-what? What’s wrong with Woobin? Is something bad happening?”
“He’s burning up. I need to get him to the infirmary, fast. Hey, Fuyuno Tsubaki. You can follow me if you want, but you’ll fall behind.”
Jin Sejeong lifted Yang Woobin into a firm princess carry, straightened her knees, and rose to her feet as she spoke to Fuyuno Tsubaki.
“What? What do you mean—?”
Fuyuno Tsubaki didn’t immediately understand what Jin Sejeong meant—but after what happened next, she had no choice but to understand.
Bang—!!!
Jin Sejeong dashed toward the infirmary at a speed too fast for the eye to track.
“…”
Left all alone in the training room, Fuyuno Tsubaki felt the overwhelming difference in power—and quietly began walking toward the infirmary, trailing behind her.
