    Sword and Fist(3)

    Demons are strong.

Not just talking about demon executives, but the demon race itself was actually strong. Just a month ago, when I faced demons in Yeonhwa’s body, Arin and Kana behind me fell into a state of fear even when facing lowly demons.

According to the setting, demons are connected to the Demon God, opposite to the goddess Iriel, and as a result, they receive a slight flow of the Demon God’s power.

To what extent? Even the lowly demons we saw last time had levels around 60.

Above that, demons who received military training were level 70, great generals were level 80, and executives were in the late 90s, which easily shows how strong the demon race is.

And to face such demons, the current state wasn’t enough.

The average level of the representative characters I’ve been teaching over the past month was in the mid to late 50s.

Of course, they’ve grown physically now and have steadily increased their stats by eating Yeonhwa’s cooking, so they might be around mid-60s by now, but it was still not enough.

No matter how much they can cut house-sized boulders with swords and kitchen knives, or blow away a building with a single arrow, it’s useless against similar opponents.

But we couldn’t grow enough in just two weeks to easily slice up demons either.

While I would handle Idea herself, the elite demons she would bring would be at least mid-70s, or even 80 if we’re unlucky, so we needed a trump card.

A trump card that could reverse the situation in one go while fighting an opponent of similar skill.

And that was the warrior class skill I wanted to teach in Yujia’s body this time.

    It was 『Nullification』.

    Clap──! Clap──! Clap──!

Only the sound of clapping echoes in the vast main sports field.

Until 30 minutes ago, there were still some chattering and murmuring sounds in the sports field, but now, 40 minutes after the class started, all that could be heard were the rough breathing of the students and the rhythmic sound of clapping.

Swordsmen would swing their swords ten times, throw down their swords, and clap.

Fighters would throw ten punches and clap.

Archers would pluck their bowstrings ten times, throw down their bows, and clap.

The tired students were continuing while taking short breaks, but satisfactory clapping sounds weren’t coming out yet.

Meanwhile, Mu and I were walking among the students practicing Nullification in rows, correcting their postures one by one.

“Wrong. Don’t just gather magic first to clap, you need to do the two separately. Start over from the beginning!”

    “Haa… Haa… Yes…!”

At my words, Arin, who had been swinging Carnia, starts swinging her sword again from the beginning. Since her posture was completely wrong from the start, I corrected Arin’s posture a few times before turning my head to look around at the other students.

But of course, if even the talented Arin was at this level, there were no students showing signs of success.

Kana, Riana, Park, and of course the extra students were hopeless.

Of course, since I had expected this, I didn’t particularly mind. All I could do was pray that even one person would quickly grasp the feeling.

‘Nullification is indeed a difficult technique…’

Nullification, a skill of the warrior class, was named as such because it literally nullifies the opponent, rendering them incapacitated for a certain period of time.

The principle is to fill the hands with magic and resonate with the magic in the surrounding air. This directly infuses sound into the magic, shaking both the inside and outside of the opponent.

Given this principle, it was a difficulty level that even the representative characters would need to learn diligently for at least a week, but its effect was certainly worth it.

‘Nullification is the one thing that works even on demon executives, regardless of level.’

Nullification is a skill that renders the opponent incapacitated for at least 10 seconds, regardless of the user’s level, even if used by a low-level character.

Unless the enemy has no ear structure at all or has a soundproof structure, there was no need to worry about that since the opponents this time were demons.

If they could properly master just this one skill, it could create an extra life or a chance to gain the upper hand when facing demons.

‘And to use it in actual combat, they need to develop the sense themselves.’

Therefore, all I could do was to slightly correct their wrong postures.

So I moved away from Arin, who was now taking the correct posture, and jumped next to Morgan, who was looking around at the students with a bored expression in front of the platform far away.

    “Hup!”

With a stomp of my foot, the distance of about 30m was closed in an instant.

And after landing without raising even a small dust cloud, I turned to look at Morgan who was standing next to where I landed.

Morgan seemed a bit surprised to see me suddenly flying to her side, but soon hid her expression and asked me:

    “What, are you done already?”

“With just under 100 students, Mu alone should be able to monitor them anyway. Being a homunculus, her field of vision is even wider than mine when normal.”

“How lazy. Of course, I’m not one to talk since I’m resting, but isn’t the homunculus working in your form too pitiful?”

“I made the homunculus to be used like this in the first place. There’s no problem.”

Although I do give Mu affection, fundamentally she’s a homunculus made to act on my behalf.

It’s the same principle as in games where it’s more convenient to set up auto-hunting rather than hunting directly myself, at least after the initial stages.

I couldn’t bring myself to say this much, but at my words proudly admitting to using her, Morgan shook her head.

She had just said she was resting too, so I wondered why she had so much to say.

I wanted to say something at that sight, but there wasn’t particularly anything worth saying, so I turned my head to look at the students again, and Morgan followed suit, looking at the students before opening her mouth to speak:

“That thing you called Nullification? It’s really a terrifying technique. Even we would be properly affected if hit by that. It’s so fast that we couldn’t even prepare for it, let alone defend against it.”

“Of course. It’s that kind of technique to begin with. I’m teaching it this time so they can face demons.”

“To face demons? Ah… Come to think of it, didn’t you say Idea was coming to the place we’re going for this field trip? With a few soldiers.”

When I just nodded in response to her question instead of answering, Morgan drew an arc with her mouth and flushed brightly.

“I’m quite looking forward to it… If her hand-picked subordinates die from that, her expression would be quite a sight to see. Hmm… I really hope to see it.”

“That’s quite a bad taste. Honestly, it’s a bit creepy.”

“This is just how I am, so understand. Being so strong, I’ve come to enjoy seeing someone’s face colored with despair.”

Morgan said this while turning her grotesquely smiling face towards me.

Interpreting her words just now, Morgan probably meant that because she was so strong, she came to enjoy crushing opponents and seeing their faces stained with despair, whether from frustration at defeat or whatever.

However, understanding her meaning, I responded with a questioning tone at her contradictory words:

“But aren’t you weak? Didn’t you suffer a complete defeat against me?”

    “……”

“Honestly, you fight well, but to say you’re strong is a bit…”

Suddenly, the smile disappeared from Morgan’s face. The flush disappeared as well, and in an instant, Morgan became expressionless.

Eventually, Morgan stared at me intently with eyes that had completely lost their light.

At that quite frightening appearance, I thought I might have teased her too much, so I quickly waved my hands and said hastily:

“Hey, I’m just joking! Someone of your level is quite strong! Yeah, you were the second strongest among those I’ve fought so far.”

Actually, I haven’t fought much since coming here, but among those I’ve fought so far, Morgan was the second strongest. Needless to say, the first was the Demon King.

And at these words of mine, Morgan puffed out her lips and said with a sigh:

“It’s even more miserable, so don’t say anything…”

    “Oh, ah… yeah.”

At that sigh that seemed to contain all sorts of worries, I couldn’t find a proper answer and ended up patting her shoulder with a short response.

Still, it’s true that Morgan is really strong though.

Seeing her muttering to herself in this heavily sulking state, I decided I shouldn’t tease her from now on.

“Even if I’m weak I’m still the strongest among the executives although of course Arg is said to be the strongest but still I’m confident I could win if we fought so to dismiss me as weak when you’re just ridiculously strong…”

And at the same time, it seemed that if I left Morgan like this, she wouldn’t be able to vent all her frustrations even if it took all day, so I withdrew my hand that was patting her shoulder.

Morgan, who had thrown away her usual glib appearance and was muttering like a machine gun. I was curious why both of the executives who came under me had such severe gaps.

While seriously wondering if I had some strange bug that changed someone’s personality, I tried to change the subject to stop Morgan from venting her frustrations.

“Come to think of it, there was something you needed to do, Morgan. I’m thinking of sending you out with Isolde this weekend.”

    “…Something to do?”

Morgan shows interest in the successfully changed topic.

She stops muttering complaints and looks at me with a face full of expectation, as if wondering if she might be able to swing her sword.

Seeing her face, I thought for a moment about an answer that could fulfill her desires, then opened my mouth:

“Yeah, Idea or the demon mages under her will probably have set up large-scale magic circles outside. Find their locations, mark them on a map, and let me know. This time I’ll give you the demon swords and demon staves you originally had, so you can kill everything that gets in the way except humans.”

The preparation of large-scale magic circles by demons who have probably started activities by now.

They were large-scale annihilation magic circles that could blow away half of the human realm once activated.

And since that absolutely had to be stopped, I made a bold proposal to Morgan, and to this, Morgan:

    “Really?!”

She showed a bright smile like a child.
