    The Secret Weapon!

    The Secret Weapon!

Ten minutes after the vanguard went out.

The area outside the wall was nothing short of an intense battlefield.

From a distance, various magics were being continuously fired, sweeping away monsters, while at the forefront, tough and powerful monsters that had escaped the magical storm were fighting with the vanguard adventurers.

    BOOM!

    “Gahk!”

“Delin is down! Recovery team, retrieve him quickly!”

“I just recovered, I’ll take his place! Uooooh!”

The recovery team immediately carries away those who are injured or blown away by monster attacks, running with all their might to the recovery area.

A warrior who had just entered the recovery area immediately recovers completely and rushes back out to battle.

Since they recover instantly the moment they enter, regardless of how injured or depleted they are, they can return to the frontline right away.

Because of this, the warriors attacked monsters fearlessly, thinking they just needed to avoid death since injuries didn’t matter.

But even for excellent vanguard adventurers, there were monsters that were difficult to handle with just swords and axes.

At those times, some magicians who had been using magic against the monster horde would momentarily change their aim to help the vanguard.

    “Stone Edge!”

    “Fire Blast!”

    BOOM!

    WHOOSH!

    -Kieeeek!

    “Great! Their momentum is dropping!”

    “Everyone attack togetheeeeer!”

“Hey, use magic again quickly! Look at those monsters trying to slip through!”

    “I know that!”

“If I hadn’t helped just now, they would have been in danger! Fire Stooooorm!”

The magicians immediately change their aim back once the vanguard regains the upper hand, continuously casting magic that would normally be limited to once per day.

From up here, it seemed we were fighting the Monster Parade quite exquisitely.

But “exquisite” meant that things could collapse if even the slightest mistake was made.

Right now we were countering very well, but they still had the numerical advantage.

And it seemed like the small fry came first and the real army would come later.

The number of monsters breaking through the magical storm was gradually increasing.

But if the magicians and archers kept focusing on the monsters the vanguard was dealing with, the small fry monsters that were still pouring in—

Even though they were “small fry,” they were still at least D-rank monsters swarming in, which could completely break the balance.

    “G-Guild Master. Isn’t this p-precarious?”

I asked the experienced-looking Guild Master to see if my intuition was correct.

“You observe well, Jin-sang. But creating even this situation is practically a miracle. Nobody has died yet, and we’re still holding the line. However… certainly, if we leave things as they are, it will gradually become unfavorable.”

    “I-is there any solution?”

“If the magicians had even a little more time to help the vanguard, it would be fine. But… it’s certainly not easy.”

The Guild Master was thinking along the same lines as me.

But was there really no effective solution?

    “I should step in too.”

    “What? You, Guild Master?”

“Despite appearances, I was once a renowned A-rank adventurer. I was called Feldragon the Swift Blade.”

“Oooh! Then if you join in, we can solve this!”

    “No, that’s not quite right.”

    “Huh?”

“Even if I join, I’ll be weaker compared to the magicians pouring out magic. I’d only be giving the magicians a little more leeway to deal with the approaching monsters.”

    “Umm… so it’s not a definitive solution?”

“Hohoho, things in life don’t always proceed smoothly, Jin-sang. In the end, creating even a small opening…”

With a shing, the Guild Master drew his sword and said to me.

“Is about the will to seize opportunities by persistently taking action with your own hands and feet.”

    Ooh, so cool!

“Samurus. I’ll leave command here to you for a moment.”

“Hmph, just hurry up and go, Guild Master! Storm Arrow!”

As Samurus fired another arrow using the spirit’s power.

    “Haaaah!”

The Guild Master immediately jumped down from the wall, joined the vanguard, and swung his sword.

    “Wow…”

Just by looking, the Guild Master was accurately slashing at the vital points of monsters with swift speed, helping the vanguard.

It was a sight befitting his nickname “Swift Blade,” rapidly swinging his sword to cut down monsters.

But as the Guild Master said, it only made things a little easier for the vanguard adventurers.

    It wasn’t a definitive solution.

    More decisively.

The magicians or archers needed more margin to help the warriors fighting near the wall.

If only a wall could appear right where the magical storm was happening… wait, a wall?

    “Hey!”

I asked a magician who was primarily casting Stone Edge.

    “What!”

“Can’t you create something like an earth wall over there? Make it rise up!”

“Impossible! Maybe if it was closer, but I can’t create a Stone Wall at that distance! Stone Edge!”

    Damn it!

    Is there really no solution?

“J-Jin-sang. Are you okay? P-perhaps you’re tired from c-continuously using magic?”

Luna noona asked with concern beside me as I was frantically thinking.

“Ah, I’m fine. There’s absolutely no need to worry about my magical power. I was just thinking about how to improve the situation.”

“I-I see. B-but what we c-can do now is… hmm, sh-should I help the Guild Master?”

“With me riding? Certainly, our strongest combo combination would be more helpful.”

With Luna noona’s Flame Burst, we could attack that huge Earth Snake from various directions more quickly to confuse or defeat it.

But still, to reduce the number of monsters breaking through the magical storm…

    “Huh?”

It was when I was thinking about Luna noona carrying me while facing the Earth Snake.

    A massive monster.

Luna noona moving at high speed.

    In that situation.

    Brrrr!

The trauma that made my body tremble just by recalling it flashed through my mind.

And that was the best means to overcome this situation.

    “Luna noona!”

“Eek! Y-yes? J-Jin-sang, what is it? Sh-should we g-go out too?”

“No. I’ve thought of something much better! The best way to overcome this situation!”

    “R-really?”

    “Of course! Samurus-ssi!”

    “What!”

“Luna noona and I will be leaving for a moment!”

“What?! Are you crazy! How will we recover without you!”

    “No, don’t go!”

“It’s already precarious as it is!”

    “We’ll be annihilated without you!”

Not just Samurus-ssi, but the surrounding archers and magicians tried to stop us.

“Don’t worry! You can hold out comfortably for 20 minutes without me! I’ll be back by then!”

    “”Where are you going!””

“To get a secret weapon that will make the situation better!”

At my words, Samurus fired another Storm Arrow and then quickly asked.

    “Is that really true!”

“You still can’t believe me even in this situation! Just trust me! We’ll be back quickly with Luna noona!”

    “Then hurry back!”

    “Yes! Luna noona, let’s go!”

    “Huh? Y-yes!”

I immediately clung to Luna noona’s back and shouted.

“First, let’s go to Miriana noona’s house!”

    “M-Miriana-ssi’s place?”

    “No time! Go go go!”

    “G-go go!”

Luna noona moved quickly, descending from the wall and heading to Miriana noona’s place.

We quickly arrived at Miriana noona’s house.

I immediately knocked on the door loudly.

    “Miriana noonaaaaa!”

    “Jin-sang?”

As soon as I shouted, Miriana noona opened the door.

“What’s this, is it over already?”

“No! I came to borrow something!”

    “Something?”

    “Give me the bundle!”

    “…What?”

    “Storm Arrow!”

It had been 10 minutes since that Jin-sang left, and he and Luna had not yet returned.

As that Jin-sang had said, the magic was still maintaining.

This magic that continuously recovers magical power is utterly ridiculous.

Because of this, there was anxiety about when this ridiculous magic might disappear.

At first, I thought he was just a foolish rookie adventurer who exaggerated and spouted nonsense.

But to think he was such a monstrous guy in reality.

Well, even so, his actions still seemed amateurish.

“Hurry up and come back, you quack healer!”

    Just as I was complaining.

On the far right, Jin-sang riding on Luna appeared… holding a bundle full of something.

That guy! Why is he over there! Why isn’t he quickly returning here!

“Huh? Why are they over there!?”

Not just me, other archers also spotted Luna and Jin-sang.

“Wait! Why are they heading towards the monster horde!”

The place Jin-sang and Luna were heading was behind the area where magicians were currently blocking monsters with magic.

Right into the area teeming with monsters.

    “What are they thinking!”

    “Hey, shouldn’t we support them?”

    “Magic can’t reach that distance!”

It was a situation where we couldn’t stop attacking despite our confusion.

Damn it! Is he really doing this because he has a solution?

    That’s when it happened.

Jin-sang, who had approached the monster horde, took something out of the bundle.

    Is that… a slime?

Jin-sang, who had taken out a slime, suddenly began throwing it toward the monster horde.

He continued throwing slimes into the air.

But the thrown slimes just landed with a plop on the ground and were crushed by the monsters’ feet.

What the hell is that guy doing!

    Just then.

    An unbelievable thing happened.

    “Huh…?”

    -Brrrrrrrng…

An ordinary slime that Jin-sang had just thrown transformed into a King Slime.

    BOOM!

It fell on top of the monster horde.
