    Grandma Lecia’s Grand Entrance (2)

    Philips Lecia.

The primordial dragon and guardian of balance.

    Due to the long-lasting peace,

And considering the world’s self-reliance and the aftermath of power, she had not appeared for a long time.

Now, her strength may have faded somewhat.

‘But anyone who has met her even once, or heard of her achievements.’

Would not dare to doubt her power.

    “Cl-close your eyes.”

Han A-rin chuckled as she looked at Ha-eun, who was squeezing her eyes shut to get her hair cut.

She quickly regained her composure and continued her thoughts.

‘Anyway, the important thing is that Philips Lecia is strong beyond measure.’

It was the current reality that not only herself but even the top-ranked Sword Saint couldn’t guarantee if they could ‘withstand’ against her.

So when she heard about her visit to the association, she couldn’t help but get goosebumps all over.

‘And to top it off, she’s coming tomorrow.’

It was enough to drive her crazy.

Of course, the possibility of Philips Lecia coming to find fault with the association or having a negative impact was extremely low.

But still, the desire to show that her granddaughter was doing well,

And the wish to boast about how well she was taking care of Ha-eun were mixed, so she couldn’t help but feel a bit rushed.

‘So prepare as best as you can.’

As Phillips Lecia was strengthening her resolve to make Ha-eun satisfied with living, she noticed something.

Ha-eun’s tail was swishing back and forth, looking unsure of what to do.

It seemed she wasn’t very used to getting her hair cut, so I held her hand tightly to reassure her and watched from beside her.

    * * * * *

I was currently being forced to get my hair done by Han A-rin.

Actually, this wasn’t really a problem so I didn’t mind much.

But because the hair styling was taking longer than expected, my legs were getting numb and it was difficult to stay still.

    ‘This is tough…’

My legs felt like they were going numb, and my tail kept swishing as if sending me silent signals to stand up.

But there was nothing I could do until the hair styling was finished, so I just closed my eyes tightly and trembled slightly.

As I was wiggling my toes trying to calm my legs that were feeling more and more tingly,

“It’s okay. Don’t be scared of getting your hair cut. Look, here’s an alligator character. Isn’t it cute?”

The hairstylist seemed to have interpreted my behavior as being scared of getting my hair cut.

They started repeating that it was okay while shaking an alligator doll.

I thought about saying I was fine, but I held back thinking it might make me have to sit longer.

    Squeeze.

Suddenly, Han A-rin grabbed my hand and said,

“Your big sister is right here, so don’t worry.”

    “……”

Feeling a bit wronged, my lips were about to pout.

Of course, now I was able to pull them back in if I was conscious of it.

Something makes me want to stick out my tongue a bit right now, and I’m conflicted for a moment.

    “Beep!”

Somteol starts licking my leg, tickling it with its teeth.

I almost burst out laughing because it’s so ticklish.

But I’m trying my best to hold it in because if I move, my hair might get cut wrong.

    “Beep!”

I couldn’t help but giggle because Somteol was licking so enthusiastically.

After laughing for a while, I surprisingly felt the numbness in my legs disappear.

I’m not sure if it’s because I laughed or because Somteol licked me, but either way, it was definitely thanks to Somteol, so I’m patting its head to show my gratitude.

    “Chae-a too!”

Chae-a, who’s getting her hair done next to me, waves her hand towards me, trying to grab my hand.

She was too far away to reach no matter how hard she tried.

But Chae-a still seems to want to hold my hand, constantly waving and wiggling her fingers.

‘I want to hold her hand.’

I’m thinking about how I want the haircut to be over soon so I can be with Chae-a.

The hairstylist, while fixing my hair, says to me admiringly.

“Ha-eun, you’re really so pretty. I’d love to use you as a model for the salon if I could.”

My tail wags quickly, suddenly embarrassed by the unexpected compliment.

I feel my face getting hot and shake my head to say it’s not true.

But the teacher doesn’t seem to care much about my opinion and continues to compliment me.

“It’s not a lie, Ha-eun is the prettiest among all the babies I’ve seen so far. A-rin, you know that, right? Many celebrities and child actors come here. I’ve seen a lot of babies, and I can say with certainty that Ha-eun is the prettiest among all the babies I’ve seen.”

Upon hearing those words, Han A-rin seemed extremely pleased as if she had been complimented herself.

Nodding her head quickly, she proudly says.

“That’s right. I think so too. There probably isn’t a baby as pretty as Ha-eun.”

    “……”

I feel like my face is about to burst from embarrassment.

As I try to calm my reddening face by rubbing it with my palms.

The hairstylist gently lifts my face and says to me.

“Don’t lower your face. Come on, let’s look in the mirror?”

    “Okay…”

It can’t be helped since we’re in the middle of styling my hair.

I thought I’d at least close my eyes, so I squeezed them shut as tightly as possible.

    * * *

After a few hours of struggle, I was finally able to escape from the hair salon.

To be honest, I don’t think much has changed from my perspective.

But Han A-rin seems to think a lot has changed, repeatedly saying “You’re so pretty” and starting to take pictures.

I’m holding Chae-a’s hand tightly as she giggles, still trying to calm my unresolved embarrassment.

Chae-a looks at me like that and then rummages through her pocket to hand me something.

“Eat this! Chae-a is happy when Ha-eun eats.”

Wondering what it is, I accept it and see that it’s a small, crumpled candy.

It seems she gave me something she had brought as a snack, so I tried to give it back to Chae-a.

But Chae-a smiles brightly and signals me to eat it quickly.

Originally, I neither disliked nor liked sweet things.

Now, as I put the candy I’ve grown to love so much I can’t live without it in my mouth.

Chae-a speaks to me with a very pleased expression.

“Since Chae-a is the older sister, I have to take care of Ha-eun! I did well, right?”

It seems Chae-a still thinks she’s the older sister.

I thought about denying it like I had considered before.

But I didn’t want to say anything negative to Chae-a who was so happy, so I decided to just keep my mouth shut.

‘Whether she’s the older sister or not, it’s not really important.’

What’s important is that Chae-a is happy.

Deciding to let this small matter slide, I mumbled a bit.

Then I handed Chae-a the candy I had secretly brought and said.

    “Here, Chae-a eat this.”

“Wow, this is the strawberry flavor that Chae-a likes the most…”

Let me tell you one surprising secret here.

If you only heard what Chae-a just said, you might think Chae-a likes strawberry flavor the most.

But in fact, Chae-a likes everything that’s edible, so if I had given her grape flavor, she would have said it’s her favorite grape flavor.

Knowing this fact, I find the current situation somehow funny and am chuckling.

Han A-rin looks back and forth between me and Chae-a and says.

“I’ve already ordered some clothes separately, so let’s skip that for now. For now, let’s go choose a gift for Grandma Lecia.”

At those words, I realized that it’s better to prepare a gift when meeting an adult, and my eyes widened in surprise.

Then, after thinking for a moment, I shook my head and carefully said to Han A-rin.

“I think… it’s better to do it with my own strength. I’ll get the gift for Grandma Lecia myself.”

“Huh? Ha-eun wants to get the gift herself?”

    “Yes!”

“Then should I give you some pocket money…”

    “It’s okay.”

If I received pocket money to buy the gift, it wouldn’t be me getting it directly.

If possible, I wanted to get the gift myself and give it to her.

‘The heart is the most important thing in a gift.’

Of course, some people might not think so.

At least from what I’ve seen, Grandma Lecia seemed to prefer gifts full of sincerity rather than material ones.

So I thought it would be good to match that with my gift.

“Oh, okay? Then try it yourself first, and if you can’t do it, let me know. Alright?”

I nodded my head, showing my determination.

Then I turned my gaze to look at the flower bed.

‘I should make a ring out of pretty flowers and give it to her.’

After carefully selecting beautiful and nice flowers, I would weave them into a ring.

I strengthened my resolve, thinking that if I asked Somteol to reinforce it, it might not spoil and last for a long time.

    *

    After coming to that conclusion.

I entered the small resting area next to Lear and gazed intently at the flowers.

Ha-eun originally planned to go to a park or backyard to find flowers, but since Han A-rin said it was too dangerous and absolutely not allowed, they had no choice but to come here.

‘The good thing is that Han A-rin said we can pick anything that’s here.’

Thinking that they just needed to choose the flowers they wanted, they were looking around carefully.

Chae-a, who was watching from the side, suddenly grabbed a flower and started to chew on it.

    “…?”

Surprised at why she was suddenly eating it, Ha-eun was taken aback.

Chae-a mumbled while speaking to Ha-eun.

    “This is delicious…!”

    “Huh?”

“The shaman told me. She said things that look like this are tasty when you eat them.”

Hearing this, Ha-eun blinked and quickly gathered their thoughts,

Then repeatedly told Chae-a to ‘spit it out’.

At Ha-eun’s actions, Chae-a spat out the flower and tilted her head, asking,

    “Was there dirt on it?”

    How should this be explained?

As Ha-eun was wracking their brain, unsure of where to start explaining,

Han A-rin spoke to them with a surprised expression.

“Oh, children? You shouldn’t eat things like flowers off the ground, okay?”

Then Han A-rin brushed off Ha-eun’s mouth, not Chae-a’s, and said,

    “Ha-eun, say ‘ah’.”

She suddenly started to inspect the inside of Ha-eun’s mouth.
