Chapter 51: Goddess

The resident of Normans, Siniya Dayal, thought her life was over the moment she was eaten by the Sandworm.

The pungent scent of blood. The terrible flesh wall. And herself melting in the acidic substance gushing out from it.

Why? She was simply running away from the Demon King’s army.

It was natural for someone with no power to run away from the Demon King’s army that covered the entire sky.

Should she have trusted the adventurers and the heroes and fought against them?

Or should she have stayed home and believed that they would protect her?

What if the Demon King’s army finally defeated the adventurers and heroes and entered Normans?

    Then she would regret it.

Why did she trust them and let them die?

    That’s why she escaped.

If she had known in advance that there was such a huge monster in this place, she would never have escaped Normans.

    But that’s just an assumption.

“Ha, haha…..” Siniya has no power to turn back time, nor does she have the power to awaken and escape from here.

For her, who could do nothing but grow and sell flowers, there was no way to escape from the belly of this giant monster.

Would it be better to bite off her own tongue?

    Shiniya despaired.

If her prayers reached, the goddess would look down on her.

However, the goddess’s power did not reach her.

This was inside the belly of the sandworm.

The goddess’s protection required receiving the moonlight with her body, and Shiniya was trapped in the darkness.

    What if.

The moment the sandworm opened its mouth, what if she moved forward as much as possible?

Then, wouldn’t the moonlight protect her?

    “Goddess…!!”

    If there was a miracle-

Kagagagagak!!! From above, a sound like something was being torn apart could be heard.

She turned her head to the ceiling, and a long vertical line appeared, and moonlight began to seep in.

    “Ah, ahh…?!”

The sandworm’s body was splitting apart.

The goddess’s moonlight began to seep in through the cut sections.

Buuuk! Shiniya took off her top.

Shiniya couldn’t hold back her feelings of sadness as the moonlight slowly settled on her body.

    Bam.

The sandworm’s fluid that fell on the back of her hand disappeared with a swoosh.

Originally, it was a toxic fluid that should have melted Shiniya’s body, but the goddess’s protection purified the sandworm’s fluid and protected Shiniya.

    Bam!

The sandworm’s body fell to the ground with a tremendous vibration.

Thanks to the sandworm swallowing the soil whole, Shiniya was able to escape safely despite the impact.

    “Ah….”

    She saw.

Beyond the sandworm’s corpse splitting left and right, a blond swordsman stretched his sword out to the side, cutting off its tail.

Looking at the back of the young man who swung his sword like a golden storm, she thought.

    A hero.

Unlike the ‘holy sword users’ who simply use the holy sword or those who call themselves heroes in name only, the young man saved Shiniya and everyone with just the power of one sword.

    Not everyone.

There were dead and injured people.

If Siniya had not split open and the goddess’s protection had not seeped into her, her body would have melted away in the fluid flowing from the sandworm’s inner walls.

Should I say that she was lucky?

Or should I say that she prayed to the goddess?

    No.

It was thanks to that hero.

Because the hero helped, the goddess’s hand was able to reach her, and because the hero was there, the sandworm could no longer run wild.

Siniya stared blankly behind the hero.

The hero was looking at the red witch running from the castle wall.

    Was she a lover?

    Or a sister?

The hero reached out to the red witch who matched him so well.

    But.

The witch only lightly patted the hero’s shoulder, and her eyes were still focused on the sandworm as she ran.

    Her face looked so urgent.

Siniya looked at where the witch was looking, and only then did she realize that she was lucky.

“Wake up!!” As the witch thrust her wand high into the sky, the dirt inside the sandworm’s body began to take shape.

The golems, which looked like people, started to rescue the people who were trapped right next to them.

“If you stay inside the sandworm, your body fluids will flow out! Those who can move, come out immediately!!”

Shiniya suddenly came to her senses at the witch’s shout.

Sesess. The sandworm was dead, but its body remained. The blood that came out when the sandworm’s body split open was okay, but the ‘stomach acid’ flowing out of the sandworm’s stomach still remained.

“Those who can come out on their own, come out! Those who absolutely cannot get out, raise both hands!! Those who can hold on a little, raise one hand!! If there is anyone nearby who cannot reach out, someone next to you, please let me know!!”

The witch’s voice spread in all directions. Shiniya realized that the witch was using up even her mana as she shouted, and she struggled to get out of the dirt on her own.

    “Ugh, ugh…!!”

Next to Shiniya was a man whose face had half melted. Although they had the protection of the Goddess of the Moonlight, the protection of the Goddess of the Moonlight was only given to women. Most of the people groaning here and there were men. Most of the men who did not receive the protection of the Goddess of the Moonlight were bleeding.

“Hey, here!! There are people starting from here!!”

    “Ahhh!! My legs, my legs!!”

Screams echoed from everywhere. Shiniya bit her lips and got up. She searched everywhere and sent golems, but the witch was confused by so many people.

    “Are you okay?!”

The hero helped the golems save the people, and the elves who seemed to have run behind saved the people while getting dirt and sandworm blood on their hands.

    And.

“Excuse me.” The witch who had run toward him extended her hand with a brighter smile than anyone else.

    “Can you help me?”

    “…Yes!!”

Ah. If the Goddess of the Moonlight had sent down protection to protect the women.

    “Goddess….”

    “Yes?”

    “Ah, no….”

Didn’t the Red Moon Goddess herself come down and save the people? Shiniya held the witch’s hand and slowly got out of the dirt.

The witch quietly looked at the place Shiniya had gotten out of…. “ha.”

She was laughing. Shiniya felt a moment of doubt, but.

“Ah.” Below her. There was another person curled up in the dirt. Fortunately, he didn’t seem to be dead.

    “Are you okay?”

….”I thought I was going to die, hasak….”

    “Please come out, please.”

The witch directly reached out to the hole Shiniya had come out of and pulled the man out. Shiniya didn’t even realize that there was a man right below her until the witch found him. If the witch hadn’t been there, the man might have been trapped here and died.

    “Lucius!!”

    “Yes, Master!”

“Help him up. I’ll prepare a large-scale magic”

    “Large-scale magic….? Isn’t that too much?”

    “It’s okay.”

The witch clenched her fist and raised her staff.

“I’ll do whatever I can to save her.”

Shiniya thought. This woman. She’s a goddess. The incarnation of the Red Moon Goddess.

Damn, these annoying humans. When trying to find the sandworm’s core, there were too many distractions. The sandworm’s core wasn’t in its head. It was somewhere in the body, in a really ‘strange’ location. So, from the mouth to the tip, you had to personally detect the mana as you went.

The problem was that, although it was easy to detect if there was nothing, it was difficult to detect because of the humans who were trapped in the dirt and screaming.

Even though the thing you found by draining your mana wasn’t that bad, A bald old man screaming because he wants to live first when he only has a sprained leg.

How frustrating. If humans are such a nuisance, it would be better to get rid of them quickly.

“Lucius! Rosemath! Leave it to the golem, and you guys move the people who can’t move as much as possible! When the priests from Normans come, they can treat them!!”

    “Yes, I understand!!”

    “Don’t push yourself!!”

The two of them pulled out those who couldn’t get out on their own-those who kept getting caught up in mana detection.

I made a golem using the dirt that had entered the sandworm’s body and pushed the people out.

I kept running inward to find the sandworm’s core as quickly as possible and placed the golems in a distributed manner, and in between, I pulled out those I thought I could pull out with my own hands.

A fleeting thought occurred to me while saving them.

The protection of the Goddess of the Moon is really crazy.

When looking at the ratio of casualties and injuries, those who received the protection of the Goddess of the Moon were less injured.

Those who were eaten late and those who were women with more exposure were safer.

    What a cruel goddess.

If she’s going to protect people, shouldn’t she protect men too, or protect them if everyone is equally exposed?

The goddess herself is promoting gender discrimination.

I thought it was like this 500 years ago, but it didn’t seem to be the case.

The enemy from 500 years ago was the Red Moon Goddess.

But thanks to that, I was able to get one piece of good information.

I’m on the warrior’s side now, but I was able to confirm one important piece of information.

The exposed woman was also wounded deep inside the sandworm’s stomach.

In other words, the protection of the Moon Goddess is less effective in places where ‘moonlight’ cannot reach, such as inside the body of a demon.

We need to check whether it’s simply an indoor space where the moonlight is blocked, or whether it’s related to the body of a demon or a demon.

Let’s put that aside for later.

For now, we need to focus on finding the core of the sandworm.

    Ugh…

I can’t see it. I can’t feel it. If it’s a sandworm this size, there should definitely be a magic stone nearby….

    Molkang, …

I felt a strange sensation as I walked forward. I looked under my feet, and the tip of the staff that had entered the dirt pile was poking something huge between the gravel.

    Found it.

It was about the size of a fist. It was definitely a magic stone.

    Wake up.

I create golems using the surrounding dirt. Then I scatter them in all directions to save people, and at the same time, I create small golems using the dirt and gravel around the giant thing.

    Haa, haa…

    “Are you okay, Master?”

    “You seem a little tired.”

I created a golem and laid down in its arms. I was kneeling on one knee and stretching both arms out in front of me, which was enough for me to lay down while straddling it.

Lucius. Are there no people inside the sandworm anymore…?

Yes, I think we’ve saved everyone.

Then… I’ll rest for a moment, so save the rest of the people.

I laid down in the golem’s arms. Then I quietly closed my eyes and grabbed the golem’s hand.

Without anyone knowing. I grabbed a lump inside the golem’s body with the golem’s hand.

It’s a big deal. The gold orb that filled my hand contained an incredible amount of mana.

I should be able to fight for another half a year.

The witch is being held by the earthen golem like a princess… Will she later ask to be held like that…?

Rosemath bowed her head as she looked at Lucius, who was looking at her teacher.

“…If only I could be hugged by Lucius like that…” Rosemath could only imagine the scene.
