    “Excuse me, Congressman.”

“There’s been a lot of talk lately, hasn’t there? I try to ignore it, but I keep hearing things.”

“Yes, sir. The atmosphere is not very good.”

In the dimly lit office, despite it being daytime, the tense aide who had come to visit swallowed hard at his casual tone.

It was even more so because he had brought bad news.

But unlike the nervous aide, he was actually quite relaxed at the moment.

No matter how noisy society became, no matter how much the opposition struggled, he was steadily carrying out his desires with his followers.

“It doesn’t matter. If we push through with this, we can bury everything completely.”

“As expected, the uncontrollable magical gi… Huh?”

But when the two accidentally spoke at the same time.

Both he and the aide realized something was wrong.

“What’s this? Weren’t we talking about the project currently being pushed by the party?”

“Pardon…?! Ah, no, Congressman. What I came to report about was Taquilas, who single-handedly eliminated the SS-class monster Mammoth in the middle of downtown LA in America…”

As his brow furrowed, the aide shook his head with a shrinking voice.

Taking out a cigarette, he clicked his tongue as if dumbfounded and lit it.

“You’ve lost your touch. What’s important now isn’t some wet-behind-the-ears kid.”

“B-but Congressman Park Young-jin from our party also died at the hands of Taquilas…”

“That bastard Park Young-jin was just a worthless first-term congressman who got too cocky. The party gave him a little push, and he got all full of himself. I told you guys that kind of person wouldn’t last long. We would have gotten rid of him soon enough with some sex scandal or something.”

He exhaled cigarette smoke and stood up with a grin. While the aide was at a loss for words, he walked to the window and looked outside.

“A huge project is in motion right now. While others are struggling to escape the swamp of the past. Magical Girls? Who cares about such things. The real strong ones are those who survive such disasters.”

“But Taquilath is real. Even the U.S. intelligence is keeping a close eye on her, and since she’s our citizen, we should…”

“Still, she’s just an individual. A member of this society hiding her identity.”

    He shook his head.

Having confirmed that Taquilath’s interest was purely self-centered, not true ‘justice’, he didn’t genuinely consider her a threat. Because he would never attack her first, and Taquilath was not planning to pay any attention to human politics.

“Seonwoong. You and I are both trash. There are a few who aren’t, but after decades in this business, you see it clearly. Parties and all that nonsense, most of them are just like me.”

    “Sir…”

“The division work is almost complete, and all that’s left are the clueless fools and a few powerless loudmouths. But even if it’s a pseudo-state about to be overturned or devoured, it’s still a collective. No matter how strong a single Magical Girl is, she’s still an ‘individual’ based in this society. What can she do?”

He stubbed out his cigarette, walked over, and patted the aide’s shoulder.

“Besides, China will intervene soon. Seems they’re bothered too. We’ll just take what we can from them and mind our own business. Just like now.”

    “They… I understand.”

The aide flinched but quickly closed his mouth. He instinctively realized that his boss genuinely disliked mentioning this matter.

‘Well, no matter how much she rages, is it really possible for her to wage war against an entire country?’

The aide shook his head as he left the room. Honestly, given Taquilath’s eccentricity so far, it seemed entirely possible, but if such a situation actually arose, the Magical Girls with Korean citizenship wouldn’t sit idly by either.

“What are you talking about? You want me to stay with this gir… no, this person… no, this individual?!”

“That’s right! Why should I have to live with this… strange doll?”

“…Are you two really saying this to me?”

Both Ren and Pleshia protested heatedly after hearing my words. I was so dumbfounded for a moment that I couldn’t stop my hand from moving.

    “Ugh…”

    “Stop! Stooop!”

In one swift motion, I struck Plesia’s head and continued to deliver soccer kicks to the fallen creature while pulling Ren’s ears, stretching them out on both sides.

This punishment continued until my mood improved.

“This is an order, Plesia. Is it because I look like this now that I don’t seem fitting for a Demon Lord?”

    “Nho, thaht’s noht iht…”

Plesia mumbled with a contorted face and twisted mouth. I threw the trembling Ren at him.

“Ren, if you don’t like it, go complain to Lana, the boss. But think about it, will you? All those countless achievements I’ve given you. If you won’t acknowledge that, I don’t mind changing jobs.”

    “Ah, I understand…”

Having successfully silenced both of them, I raised my nails and slashed through the air, creating a rift in space.

It’s a very useful magic I learned from the fairies. I threw myself into it without hesitation.

“We’ve been waiting since you summoned Plesia.”

    “It’s been a while, Robert.”

“…Yes. It’s been a very long time. You look quite different.”

Robert, the head butler of the Demon Lord’s castle, looked down at me. We used to be at eye level, but not anymore.

After a moment’s consideration, I transformed from Lee Jin-ah’s appearance to that of the magical girl Tequilas. After all, it doesn’t make sense for a Demon Lord to be wearing just a plain white T-shirt and black shorts, even in this state.

“Oh my. You’ve become even more flamboyant.”

“Due to circumstances, I can’t leave this form. How are the others?”

“Don’t worry. I’ve already sent envoys throughout the Demon Realm.”

    “…What?”

I flinched at Robert’s words. Come to think of it, I forgot to order them not to do anything when I returned.

“This is the return of our true king, the ruler of this demon realm, and the strongest being in this land. Recently, as the eyes of the human world and celestial realm have been suspicious, we naturally had to ensure that the Demon King’s well-being was made known!”

    “Ugh…”

For a moment, Robert’s excited voice grew louder. But I was disgusted. Of course, it’s inevitable when I’m dressed like this in the first place.

“Don’t worry. Our demon eyes are not knotholes, Your Majesty. No matter what form you take, your dignity cannot be hidden!”

“Why the human world and celestial realm? Wasn’t everything fine?”

Well, whether I appear as a young girl, boy, old woman, or old man, as long as my essence doesn’t change, the demons don’t care. I rubbed my throbbing head and asked back.

If there was a political purpose to this act, I had to follow that duty as the one who became king.

Here, I’m not Magical Girl Takilas, but Demon King Takilas.

“The Demon King is arriving. Everyone, prepare.”

It had been a while since I crossed the corridor of the demon castle. Not with creeping tentacles, but with two legs wearing black stockings.

With Robert’s guidance, the doors of the large audience hall opened. It’s a huge hall that takes up an entire floor, as big as a soccer field.

As I passed by, the numerous demons of this unified demon realm who filled the place showed their respect in their own ways.

They were all administrators of this land, my subjects, and powerful demons.

“I’m sorry for calling you all here when you’re busy. But as you all know, I’ve just returned from being away for a bit.”

I climbed to the highest seat and sat crookedly on the incredibly ornate throne. Compared to the original, my current form had short legs that dangled in the air.

I could see at a glance the faces of the numerous beings below. They were all my people, each leading hundreds of millions of their own forces and following me.

Each one of them could crush and kill any ordinary magical girl. Even that pompous monster Mammoth would barely get a seat at the far end if he came here.

“All 72 legions of the Demon King’s army are in order.”

“…It seems so, Renes. I’ll receive the report separately later. Actually, I came here on vacation today.”

A giant dragon who snorted steam pushed its head forward and spoke first, seemingly anxious to report.

“Your Majesty. Forgive my impertinence, but I must convey an important message.”

    “What is it now?”

However, once I allowed them to speak, work-related matters began pouring out.

It was my karma for neglecting my duties to go play, so I had no choice but to listen to everything they had to say.

“It’s about the recent marriage proposal from the humans, regarding Princess Seria Rene Laose and Your Majesty!”

    “Cough…”

But with the following words, I spat out the tea I was drinking.

At the same time, my face turned pale. Come to think of it, there was such a matter.

My hands trembled. I had completely forgotten about it.
