“Head of the broadcasting department. You’re the only one left, aren’t you? Why did you run away so disgracefully?”

    “Hu, huaagh!”

“What, didn’t you think you’d die? For such a trivial matter?”

Laughter was impossible to hold back. The news director, who had been fleeing disgracefully in the underground parking lot until the end, began to beg with tears all over his face.

    “Please… I’ll confess everything. I’ll apologize for everything. So…”

“What exactly are you going to confess and apologize for?”

“For, for knowingly spreading false information, and, and taking bribes from Chinese interests to deliberately manipulate public opinion by interfering with social news reports with the aim of dividing the public, and, and receiving entertainment from women…”

When I asked incredulously, a multitude of crimes poured out of his mouth.

The problem was that all those confessions had nothing to do with me. I don’t care how corrupt or evil this guy is.

Anyway, due to the fairies’ work-to-rule, more than half of modern Earth’s population is included in the list for elimination.

I came to Earth for fun, not to work, so in this situation, I didn’t even care whether someone’s heart was black or white as long as they didn’t pick a fight with me.

“You seem to be misunderstanding something. I’m not here to judge you. Do you consider detailed crimes when you swat a mosquito that bit you? Like ‘extra punishment for biting the sole of my foot’ or something?”

    “Uh, uah…”

“You seem to have a chosen people mentality thinking you’re something special, but such grand judgment isn’t necessary for your pathetic life to end miserably. If you really want to find a reason, figure it out yourself after you’re dead.”

I didn’t want to waste any more time. With the shadow blade that burst from my swinging arm, his body was split in half and fell to the floor.

Now the cleanup of all those who dared to mess with me was complete. However, for some reason, my mood didn’t improve. As I said myself, even if I swatted all the mosquitoes, I’m still bitten, and in the end, they’re just mosquitoes.

“What’s wrong? You got what you wanted, killed them all. Are you having second thoughts now?”

“I’m just stressed out. Somehow it feels like I’m working harder than before!”

I scratched my head and stomped my feet in response to Ren’s voice, which had become sharp in protest of my killing spree.

Why do things keep getting more and more troublesome?

Come to think of it, after I ascended to become the Demon King and entered management mode to unify and develop the Demon Realm, no one dared to bother me.

Even if something happened, I had dozens, if not hundreds, of capable aides and subordinates whom I had actively recruited and deployed.

    But not now.

Now, I’m just one of the troublemakers in this world, walking alone as if I’m the only being under heaven. There were plenty of fools who dared to crawl up to me without knowing their place.

And I’ve long been too tired to feel the joy of struggle. There weren’t any opponents strong enough for me to give my all in the first place. On Earth, it was enough to feel pleasures and nostalgia I hadn’t experienced before, but things have already gone too far awry.

“I’m going on vacation after this is over. No, that sounds weird. Going on vacation while already on vacation.”

    “W-What?!”

I mumbled as I trudged up to the surface. Ren was speechless, probably shocked, but my decision was already firm.

    “Tackylass!”

“Looks like you’re feeling better, senior.”

What greeted me as I came up from underground were armed police special forces and magical girls, along with intense spotlights. Especially Aria, who was at the forefront.

I smirked at her. She’s quite persistent, being at the exact opposite end of where I am now. Seeing this side of her, I almost want to recruit her as a demon lord army commander.

“That’s it now. I’m done here, so I’m leaving.”

    “Y-You broke your promise.”

    “Oh, that bet?”

When Aria mentioned the bet with a trembling voice, I snorted. Of course, according to the ‘rules’ we agreed on, one could say she won. She did find me, after all.

“But that’s a bit unconscionable. If I hadn’t come, bet or not, you all would have been annihilated. Aria, because of your rash actions, many were hurt and killed. If I hadn’t come, could the experimental girls have been rescued? The magical girls? And you?”

    “T-That’s…”

As expected, her eyes wavered dramatically. She may seem tough on the outside, but by my standards, she has a fragile interior. Though she seems to have a stronger mental fortitude than most adults, Aria is still just a high school student. Her rigid mentality, lacking any flexibility, shattered with just a little stimulation.

“The bet is void. If you insist, we can make a new bet with everyone here as witnesses.”

    “A new bet?”

“Do you want to stop me?”

I smirked and spoke to everyone surrounding me, including Aria. To those fools cowering under the pressure of my energy while I did nothing.

“Then just stay still. Do I look like a pleasure killer? I’m simply following the natural law without being restricted by the laws of this world. If it bothers you that much, keep coming at me.”

    “Natural law, you say?”

“The strong take everything. So, I’ll accept challenges anytime.”

I explained the rules of the Demon Realm to them. But they probably already know. After all, the law of the strong applies to Earth as well.

“But the price of challenging is, of course, your life. If you don’t intend to challenge me, step aside. I’m going to go sleep.”

I grinned and waved my hand. A stir spread among those blocking the entrance. They understood the intention behind my words.

“If you don’t step aside, I’ll take it as you challenging me.”

I drove the point home. The riot police panicked, caught between orders from above and the fear on the ground.

The Magical Girls were the same. Only Aria kept glaring at me steadily, but I knew she wouldn’t come at me now.

“Don’t make stupid choices listening to old farts up there who don’t know anything. Decide for yourselves about your lives at this moment. Is it worth challenging me with your insignificant lives that can be crushed with just a point of my finger?”

“We are the police who protect this country’s laws, justice, and citizens.”

Someone stepped forward then. I frowned, my head throbbing. This guy… he must think I can’t touch him.

“So we’ll stop you from causing chaos in society. That’s all.”

A young rookie riot police officer smartly threw away his useless gun and clenched his fists, taking a stance.

No matter how I looked, I couldn’t see any darkness in his body. In other words, he was saying he was an untouchable natural monument.

“Think carefully. Just because I can’t touch you doesn’t mean I can’t fight you.”

I cracked my knuckles and stepped forward. I wanted to get this over with quickly and go crash somewhere.

“There was such a commotion at a public broadcasting station in the middle of the city… but the articles are unusually objective and logical.”

“Apparently, a reporter hiding in the parking lot recorded the confession of the news director who was intimidated by Tequilas, and leaked it all. They say it’s chaos because all the evidence was found too.”

On the way to school early in the morning. As I sat absentmindedly leaning against the window, I could hear Hong Su-young and Kang Jin-su chattering behind me.

At 15 years old, you’re watching social news instead of talking about games or celebrities. There’s a limit to how precocious one can be.

“Did you know about it too?”

    “The news?”

At that moment, Kang Jin-soo poked his head out and spoke to me. I hesitated for a moment, then just nodded.

“…What do you think about Taquilas?”

    “Why so suddenly?”

“Taquilas said they suffered great insult and damage due to the news reported about them. The broadcasting station eventually admitted it was their fault.”

As I flinched slightly at the mention of my name, he whispered while watching my reaction.

“It’s about that incident, isn’t it? Didn’t it help you in a way?”

“You could see it that way. But I don’t think anything of it. As they say, it’s unpredictable, so senior, it would be better if you just lost interest.”

    “R-really?”

As I looked up and smiled, saying this, Kang Jin-soo flinched, nodded, and then quietly disappeared.

As I told him, I just wished people wouldn’t mention the name Taquilas.

That’s why I deliberately talked about challenges and created an atmosphere of public fear. To instill perfect fear so that they couldn’t pay attention to me.

If I could just do that, I could live quite well without much trouble.

“Then can’t you just endure it? There are plenty of people on the internet who insult and harass you, but you don’t go after each one of them.”

[I told you. I’m someone who shouldn’t be ignored anywhere. It’s simple why I don’t touch the internet. Because it doesn’t matter]

However, I firmly shook my head at Ren’s muttering. Even in the Demon Realm, I didn’t punish people from the continent for talking behind my back. All I want is for them to not act up openly.

If they can’t even do that, no matter who the opponent is, I have no choice but to chase them to the end and thoroughly kill them.

[Look at this. The guy whose arm I broke yesterday when I grabbed him has become a hero]

I spent the remaining time giggling while looking at news on my phone.

    “…Finally?”

And then a text message arrived. It was a message saying that Kim Su-jung had been cured of her evil spirit possession and was being discharged from the hospital.
