Chapter 42: Breaking the Rules (1)

    “Welcome, Silverhair~!”

After refueling with sushi, Silverhair logged into the Pixel Wars Streamer Server.

The moment she logged in, Raidel’s cheerful voice greeted her.

Perhaps it was due to the scheduled event that evening; Raidel was already online, waiting for Silverhair.

    “Yes, hello, Raidel.”

Silverhair gave a polite nod in return.

[Silverhair noona is in the chat kekeke!]

    [Finally you’re here!]

    [I’ve been waiting forever!]

    [Noona heuuuung…]

    [Donation: ‘LifeBeginsAt60’ – 10,000 won]

    • Your. Voice. Is. So. Lovely. Reminds. Me. Of. My. First. Love. Deoksuni~~~hee;;;

    [Old man alert]

[Voice is actually really nice lol]

    [My ears are blessed]

[Can you even hear at that age?]

The chat was instantly flooded with Silverhair’s name.

Thanks to the Pixel Wars Streamer Server, collabs had naturally continued, and Silverhair had become a vital part of the stream – it felt empty without her.

In fact, there were so many people watching just for Silverhair that the viewership had passed 15,000.

Not long ago, Raidel had peaked at 2,000 concurrent viewers, but now, with the Pixel Wars buff, 15,000 was the new norm, and she was more than satisfied.

“But what were you up to yesterday? Looked like you went far off on your own…”

    Raidel asked.

Sometimes, Silverhair would build a raft and vanish somewhere.

Yesterday evening had been one of those times.

And as soon as her hunting was over, she disappeared like the wind.

If it had been any other streamer, it wouldn’t have mattered.

    Just watch the stream.

But if Silverhair vanished, it was a problem. She couldn’t stream yet.

So unless you were staff, no one knew what she was doing.

“Just something I wanted to try… It wasn’t a big deal.”

    Silverhair shrugged casually.

    Raidel didn’t ask further.

If Silverhair said so, then that was that.

In truth, their two-person guild, “Raidel Pirates,” was still in the lead thanks to Silverhair.

With only two people, they should have fallen behind in the growth competition, but Silverhair’s feats of strength kept them among the top ranks.

When they hunted, monsters were wiped out in a flash, and in raids, Silverhair covered for their lack of numbers.

So whatever she did, Raidel could only accept it.

    [Silverhair, hunting again today?]

[Delbung, heal her well from the back.]

[Please don’t abuse your bus driver…]

“You guys… This is my stream, you know?! And I don’t just ride the bus!”

Raidel fumed at chat, and Silverhair chuckled.

“Come on, that’s not true. You’re doing great. Just keep doing what you do.”

    [Raidel, you’ve got talent.]

    [Respect for the humility]

    [Marry me]

“Did you hear that?! She said I’m doing great. No more slander – bans incoming~”

Boosted by Silverhair’s words, Raidel puffed up proudly.

Of course, it only made chat roast her more.

“By the way, Silverhair, did you have dinner yet?”

Trying to redirect the convo, Raidel tossed out the question.

    Silverhair thought for a moment.

    “Yes. I had sushi.”

“Oh, sushi! Must’ve been nice! I had chicken breast salad today. Trying to diet…”

Raidel said it with a serious expression, and chat exploded.

[Health food (X) Pork belly and soju (O)]

    [Did you say… diet?]

[Pretty sure she just had ramyeon.]

[Lol how many packs of ramen today?]

[I saw her order two burger sets for lunch]

“N-no! I’ll have you know I get modeling offers too… for plus size!”

    ‘So managing weight… is hard?’

Silverhair thought, watching Raidel spar with chat.

    Honestly, she barely dieted.

Her appetite had shrunk, so she didn’t overeat, but she never stopped herself from eating what she wanted.

And yet, her weight never changed.

Even after a big meal, her weight stayed the same the next day.

Her body was a bit soft, sure, but she didn’t gain fat. No exercise either.

She never felt bloated or sluggish. Digestion just… worked.

At first, Silverhair herself was confused.

‘Are women just naturally like this?’ she wondered.

But she soon realized she was just… built differently.

Seeing Raidel struggle with dieting only made it clearer.

Of course, she didn’t say it out loud.

Saying “I never gain weight” while someone is struggling to lose it is just mean.

Eventually, as the banter died down, Raidel brought up the evening event.

    “Anyway, tonight’s event…”

    “Raidel. Long time no see.”

    A sudden voice interrupted.

Raidel and Silverhair turned their heads.

A man in shining armor approached with a smug stride.

Behind him stood ten members of his clan, lined up like a decorative screen.

    Streamer: “Kreetzone.”

A major name in gaming, the top-ranked user in the streamer server.

If you had to name the server’s current #1, most would say Kreetzone.

    “Ah… Hello, Kreetzone.”

    Raidel greeted him, visibly tense.

They were fellow streamers, so they didn’t openly fight, but as rivals competing for the top spot, they weren’t exactly friends either.

“And this must be the famous Silverhair. I’ve heard so much. Still just the two of you, I see.”

Kreetzone subtly flaunted the number of his team.

Ten members, all well-known Pixel Wars players, handpicked for skill.

He put effort into assembling this elite squad.

As a streamer, he didn’t openly provoke others. His corporate image wouldn’t allow it.

Still, his investment into the server had made him uneasy.

‘I poured so much time into this scene…’

He had leveraged every connection to recruit elites, climbed to #1.

At first, he expected all attention would be on him.

    But something felt off.

    Because of Silverhair.

No one knew where she came from, but she dominated the server with raw skill.

From the first day, she got a hidden piece.

Then she kept up an unstoppable performance in raids.

Sure, Kreetzone still had better numbers and accomplishments, but only because he had 11 people.

People were more impressed by Raidel and Silverhair duoing against full clans.

    He hated that.

With the server’s big event tonight, he came by to stir the pot.

Competition was expected. As long as it didn’t escalate, viewers would enjoy it.

“Yeah, it’s just more fun with the two of us right now.”

“Ah, I see. Well, to each their own.”

    Then Kreetzone added casually:

“Oh, by the way. This morning, we took down the Land Kraken over at Whispering Plains.”

    [Land Kraken?]

    [Isn’t that a tough one?]

    [First server clear maybe?]

    [Kreet boss making moves;;]

    [Came to brag kek]

    [It is brag-worthy tho]

    Land Kraken.

    Recently added raid boss.

    Latest content, highest difficulty.

    Many streamer clans failed repeatedly.

The stats weren’t insane, but the pattern complexity was off the charts.

With its many tentacles, the Kraken’s multi-attack pattern was hard to analyze.

But Kreetzone’s clan had studied every replay and finally cleared it.

    Their clan morale was sky-high.

They were ready to claim the server.

“Ahem! Once we figured it out, it wasn’t a big deal. Didn’t feel much afterward.”

    Lie.

Kreetzone had cried from joy after the clear.

A man in his 30s, still pure enough to shed tears over a raid victory.

“Haha. Raidel, maybe give it a try sometime. The rewards are decent.”

It was practically impossible for two players.

They used 10 members and burned through precious potions just to clear it.

Telling them to “try it” was really saying “you can’t.”

A smug jab disguised in polite words.

And then, right in front of him,

Silverhair pulled something from her inventory.

“That Kraken reward… is it useful? I wasn’t sure what to do with it.”

She held up a freshly pulsing, blood-red Legendary item:

    [Quivering Kraken Core]

    “………!!!”

Kreetzone’s face flushed, then turned pale.

    Why does she have that?!
