Chapter 366

    Chapter 366

    Otherworld Demon King Survival Guide.

Episode 366: End Of The Expedition (3)

A string of magical power extended from the box.

It currently stretched beyond the gate, reaching into the Demon Realm.

    “Brother Kyuse! Tug-of-war! Tug-of-war!”

    “Tug-of-war here?! Fine, let’s go!”

    —Squeeze!

I grabbed the string of magical power tightly with my hands and started pulling…! This actually required quite a bit of strength!

    “Haap!”

I yanked on the string with all my might, creating some slack.

    “Guys! Come help me out!”

    “Grururuk!”

    “Gyusasasasat!”

The moment I called for help, my subordinates rushed in. And so, my minions and I suddenly found ourselves in an impromptu tug-of-war.

    —Sluuuurp!

The string kept pulling without resistance!

“As expected! There’s nothing we can’t do when we work together!”

    “That’s right! Gyusat!”

    “Let’s gooo!”

    At the next pull—

    —Boom!

Something was yanked out from the gate, and we all fell flat on our butts.

    “Guys! Are you okay?!”

    “Grrk! We’re fine!”

“Such tough little bastards! Anyway, Karuti! What the hell is this?!”

The gate that had spat something out closed.

And what was left… was something ominous, lying on the ground, like a cursed meatball.

“What? A meatball? What the hell is this?”

    —Wriggle!

    The meatball twitched.

Upon closer inspection, calling it a meatball wasn’t too far off.

    “Gah!”

It was some kind of grotesque monster with a ridiculously large head! Its stubby, round body and uselessly short arms and legs made it curl up into a ball like an actual meatball!!!

    “Waaahhh!”

The bizarre creature opened its huge eyes and let out a wail!

“Aaaahhh! What the hell is this thing?!”

“Brother Kyuse! Calm down! It’s a gift from the family!”

    A crazy gift!

“If you plant it, a small fortress will grow from it!”

    “W-what? A fortress?”

If I planted this meatball-like monster, a fortress will sprout?

    “There’s no way that’s a normal fortress…!”

If this deranged meatball monster made a normal fortress, I would give up sex!

“It is a normal fortress, Brother Kyuse. This is a specially made homunculus for that purpose.”

Oh. Guess I was not giving up sex.

“A homun… is this thing like the Evil Eye?”

“Not even close. This is on a completely different level, though they both fall under the homunculus category.”

    I was going insane.

What the hell was wrong with these demon folk?

They were on a whole other level compared to the Middle Realm.

“Well, I don’t really get how it works, but it’ll make a normal fortress, right? How does that work exactly?”

“It’s a mix of black magic, rituals, mediums, curses, summoning, possession—you name it. All combined into one.”

    Yeah, I don’t get it.

    “But Karuti.”

    “Yeah?”

    A sudden thought struck me.

“Is this thing kinda like our kid?”

“Huh? W-what are you saying! Of course not! This is a specially crafted homunculus made from tons of materials!”

    “Is that so?”

    Thank goodness.

“Anyway, this is an incredible item even by Demon Realm standards. You can plant it anywhere—even in a wasteland—and a small fortress will instantly grow. It’ll be super useful if we use it strategically in battle.”

Just imagining it felt OP as hell.

    “Thanks.”

    “Thank the Duchess, not me.”

    I asked for more details.

Apparently, it wasn’t some super-specialized demon fortress. It was just a basic small fortress meant purely for defense.

In the Demon Realm, that wasn’t particularly impressive. Their fortresses and castles were usually enormous, loaded with all sorts of black magic enhancements.

I don’t remember much, but I vaguely recalled seeing stuff like that when I used to live in the Demon Realm.

“Alright, Karuti. I’ll make good use of it.”

    —Sluuurp.

I grabbed the meatball with my tentacles.

“But how do I store this?”

“Just toss it in a box until you’re ready to plant it. And inject it with some magic power once a day.”

    “Waaahhh!”

    “And if it cries?”

“Put it in a soundproof box!”

I was gonna lose my mind.

After receiving the gift, I took some time to rest and fully replenish my magic by enjoying some quality time with the female officers in the palace. Now, what’s next? Of course—the Magic Bestowal Ceremony.

The female officers who had slept with me naturally became stronger, gaining enhanced powers. Since they were already empowered, I didn’t need to hold the ceremony for them. This was only for my monster army.

    “Alright, is everyone here?”

“Keruk! All present and accounted for!”

    “Good!”

    I began my speech.

“This time! After defeating the Dark Elf Queen, this Demon King has grown even stronger! And you know what that means? It means you all can grow stronger too! I’ll now grant you my newly enhanced magic!”

    —Keryaaaaaak!

    —Grrrrrr!

    —Gyusaaaaaaat!

    Their eyes sparkled with excitement.

All of my subordinates craved growth. These mindless monsters had gained intelligence, strength, and magic after receiving my power.

As their bodies grew larger, they could now contain magic within them, leading to a drastic increase in their physical prowess—far beyond what they had before.

Think of it like an average human suddenly becoming superhuman. That’s how much they desired magic and strength.

As their Demon King, I would bestow that power upon them!

“Everyone! Feel it! The power of your Demon King!”

    —Goooooh!

I conjured a magic circle beneath the feet of the assembled soldiers and spread a mist infused with my magic.

This wasn’t some Incubus magic—this was pure, raw demonic power. The moment my monster army was exposed to it, they began to grow restless with excitement.

    And then—

    —Keryaaaaaaak!

    —Shwaaah!

Before long, the most sensitive ones began to emit a crimson glow from their eyes as they roared!

“Buril! You’re the first one, huh?”

“Power… power!! Keryaaaak! My King! I feel it surging through me!!!!”

    —Boom!

    Buril’s body grew larger.

He was now nearly the size of an adult human male. His height increased, muscles swelled, and his horns grew bigger, amplifying the magic he could hold!

    —Keryaaaaaak!

    —Grrrrrr!

    —Gyusasasasasat!

One by one, starting with Buril, my other soldiers also let out roars as their eyes glowed red. They were all growing stronger, absorbing my magic, surpassing their limits, and evolving to the next stage!

    “Kuahahahahaha!”

I laughed as I watched the spectacle!

    —Keryaaaaaak!

The only thing left was to adjust the concentration of my magic mist to help the slower ones catch up. After about an hour, the wild, frenzied bestowal ceremony finally came to an end.

    —Goooooh.

What remained were my soldiers, now bigger and stronger than ever before.

“Keruk keruk! My King…! Look at this!”

    Buril stepped forward.

    —Fwoosh!

He began channeling magic into his fist.

    “Hey! Buril! Catch!”

    “Keruk!”

I tossed him a sword, and Buril nimbly caught it. Almost immediately, a purple aura started emanating from the blade.

    Sword Aura.

Buril, a goblin, had finally learned to project his internal magic outward.

“Buril! You’ve finally awakened your sword aura!”

“I feel like I could cut anything! Anything! Keryaaaak!”

“Gyusaaaat! My King! Look at me too!”

    Gyuil came running up.

    —Fwoosh.

    He grabbed his trusty shovel.

    “Gyusaaaaaat!”

And wrapped it in aura before plunging it into the ground!

    —Rumble rumble!

    “You crazy bastard!”

Using aura on a shovel… for digging?!

“You’re the best, you insane Gyuil!”

    “Gyusat!”

“Grrrrrk! My King! Look at me too!”

    “Imsoong?!”

Imsoong’s horns had grown even bigger, making him look like a proper demon. He muttered something under his breath while pointing forward.

    —Ziiiing!

A beam of fire shot out from his hand!

    “Holy shit…!”

“Keruk! I can do this now!”

    An imp sniper!

That laser beam would definitely come in handy!

    “Unbelievable!”

I marveled as I watched my subordinates grow stronger. They had powered up this much? At this rate, we could easily conquer the Middle Realm.

And the female officers? Needless to say, they were even stronger now.

    “Kyaahahaha!”

The pixies I’d trained last night had grown significantly. Their busts had gone up a few cup sizes, and their Wind Cutter spells were now powerful enough to pierce steel armor.

We were now a truly invincible army.

    “But wait.”

I’d need to get them all new armor.

The plate armor had been crafted with some wiggle room, so it wasn’t a big issue, but their inner clothes, pants, and shoes? Those all had to be remade. The goblins had grown to the size of adult men. Buril looked like a brawler now with his bulked-up frame.

I’d just pass down the old gear to the new recruits.

Once we got back, the first thing on the list was new armor.

“Kuahahahaha! Everyone! This is the power of me and my army! With this power, we’ll conquer the world together! Got it?!”

    —Keryaaaaaaak!

    We all roared in unison.

This… this was the life of a demon!

The Lamia Expedition was, no joke, insanely easy.

To be honest, the conflict between the Dark Elves and the Lamias had only consisted of sporadic skirmishes. There had never been a concept of an all-out war where the very survival of either nation was on the line.

So, what happened when I marched in with a full regular army?

    “Kyahaaaaaak!”

They couldn’t do anything but get completely steamrolled.

To properly fight back, the Lamias would’ve needed to gather their forces and mount a unified defense. But since that concept didn’t exist here… well.

And let’s not forget—after this expedition, I now commanded countless Dark Elf troops. With sheer numbers and superior tactics on my side, how could we possibly lose?

    And that was not all.

    “Keryaaaaaak!”

    “Grrrrrrk!”

My overpowered monster army displayed an overwhelming presence, crushing the Lamias with ease.

Pushing forward like this, relentlessly driving the Lamias back, we soon reached their capital.

“Man, this was way too easy.”

It was at that moment I truly felt just how ridiculously strong my subordinates had become.
