Chapter 35

    〈 Episode 35 〉The End

Eva, having broken straight through to the Breeding Ground and freed the villagers, was heading towards the Tentacle’s main body.

    Clang!

    “Hmm?”

Having easily shattered any obstacles by lightly swinging her Iron Spear, she had reached this point. Noticing that the Tentacles blocking her strike weren’t being properly pierced, she was certain she had reached the Tentacle’s main body.

    Crack!

However, despite the Tentacle’s resistance, when Eva thrust her Iron Spear, Mana swirled and tore apart the blocking Tentacles. Thus, she was able to meet the Tentacle’s main body once again.

Eva’s eyes widened as an existence she hadn’t expected conveyed its thoughts.

    “…You could talk?”

Eva paused for a moment, then her eyes turned cold.

“Just because you can talk doesn’t change what I have to do.”

“You’re a nuisance. Countless Orcs and humans live here, and you’re just getting in the way. I doubt you’ll stop attacking us now, will you?”

Eva was momentarily speechless at the Tentacle’s response, then continued in an angry voice.

“Did you ever ask for their permission? You kidnapped them against their will and then have the nerve to say you solved their hunger? You’re more shameless than I thought.”

“If the pleasure they felt was truly for their benefit, why didn’t you tell them about it?”

“You might be right… Humans might actually be happier. But not us Orcs!”

Eva fell silent at the Tentacle’s question. Her physical condition had mostly recovered, but her mind was not the same as before. In fact, Eva herself wasn’t sure about the Tentacle’s question.

As the Tentacle had said, Eva’s nipples were hard and swollen from the moment she saw the Tentacle writhing in front of her. The Love Nectar flowing from her vulva had long since soaked her panties. Tentacles reached out towards Eva’s still arms.

“What you say is true. Just looking at you makes my lower body wet… If I’m wrapped up in you again, I’ll be able to spend days with my head buzzing again.”

As Eva spoke, Tentacles wrapped around her legs as well. Eva ignored the sensation and continued speaking.

“I’ve usually done what I wanted until now. Honestly, being taken by you again sounds like it would feel good… But right now, I just want to do this.”

Eva swung the Iron Spear she was holding, cutting off the Tentacles that were restraining her, and then imbued it with Mana until the weapon glowed, slashing forward.

    Clang-

In an instant, a line was drawn in front of Eva, and everything in front of her split to the left and right. Similarly, the Tentacle’s main body, now split in two, fell powerlessly to the ground. Soon, the Tentacles around her split apart, lost control, and began fighting each other. The Tentacle’s words stopped her as she turned to leave.

“Wait, what are you talking about?”

With that, the Tentacle’s main body died. But Eva knew that the work wasn’t completely finished yet.

“Yeah, it won’t end that easily, will it? Hmph, just you wait…”

Eva resolved to herself and left the Labyrinth.

“Well, that’s what happened. When I killed the Tentacle’s main body back then, I thought these Tentacles would die too. But the Tentacles there didn’t die and were fighting each other. I don’t know why these ones died.”

Lucia, who was listening to Eva’s words, looked at the Tentacle thoughtfully and said.

“Mom, these have strength and bodies, but they don’t have memories or emotions. They’re like shells. If Dad died, these would have to die with him.”

Asha, having resolved her question with Lucia’s words, let out a sigh of relief.

“I see… That’s a relief. Eva, does that mean the Tentacles won’t attack us anymore?”

“There are still quite a few Tentacles, but they won’t swarm us as systematically as before. Ah, you there. You said you were the Village Chief of these people?”

The Village Chief was puzzled when the mysterious woman suddenly called out to him.

    “Um? What is it?”

“I rescued some humans who seemed to be from this village from the Labyrinth. I’ve left them in our village for now.”

The Village Chief was surprised to hear that his villagers were in the Orc Village and asked.

“Is that true! How many were there?”

“About 30, I think… There were quite a few. But don’t be too happy. They’re not all normal.”

The Village Chief’s expression darkened at Eva’s words.

“If they’re not normal, then what are they?”

“They’ve been exploited by the Tentacles, so they’re not all in their right minds. They might recover if they’re lucky, but it won’t be easy. Their bodies have been quite deformed as well. I’ll take you there later.”

“Yes, I understand. Thank you so much for saving our villagers.”

The Village Chief bowed his head to Eva with a stiff face, expressing his gratitude.

“I couldn’t just leave people to die there. Is there anything else I can help with?”

“No, there isn’t. It’s enough that you saved us. Jonathan, let’s go back! There’s no reason to leave now!”

With the Village Chief’s powerful voice, the departing villagers were able to return to their village.

The village’s crisis had barely been overcome, but there was still a mountain of work to be done. Recovering the supplies that had been left behind while fighting the Tentacles, caring for the injured, and most importantly, helping the people who had been captured in the Tentacle Nest recover.

After the battle, Asha, whose ankle had been treated by Walter, arrived at the Orc Village with Walter, Georg, and the Village Chief. Having entrusted the post-war cleanup to the captain of the volunteer army, the Village Chief, who had come to the village first, asked Eva, whom he had met again.

    “So, where are our villagers?”

“They’re being treated by other Sorcerers in two empty houses. I’ve had similar injuries in the past, and the regeneration of the head was the most urgent thing needed. They’re receiving the same treatment.”

“I didn’t expect you to even treat them… Did you have the resources to treat them all?”

Eva smiled at the Village Chief’s words and replied.

“Haha… The Chief felt sorry for not being able to send support for the warriors last time. You can just think of it as fair treatment for the people who fought against the same enemy.”

“Thank you so much. To be honest, our village wasn’t in a situation to treat them all…”

“I know the situation in your village well. It’s enough if we were able to help.”

Asha’s group entered the house where the people were being treated. Like the other buildings, this house, which was built to be large to match the height of the Orcs, had makeshift beds lined up with women lying on them.

The Village Chief was relieved to see the Orc Sorcerers in the room treating the women who were lying unconscious. However, as he got closer to them, he became puzzled.

“Um… They are our villagers, but their appearances are too different. There are quite a few people I’ve never seen before. What on earth happened to them there?”

“Those who are captured by the Tentacles here are different from those who are captured by ordinary wild Tentacles. They are modified to offer food to the Tentacles or to produce their offspring. They are the result of that modification. Their bodies have changed a lot, but above all, their minds have been overworked by the Tentacles, so most of them are unable to wake up. The Sorcerers are doing their best to treat them, but they still haven’t woken up…”

    “I see…”

The Village Chief’s face darkened at the news that the villagers had been unconscious for days.

Then, a woman who came down from the upper floor approached them.

“It’s been a while, Village Chief.”

The Village Chief, bewildered when a beautiful woman with brown hair he had never seen before spoke to him, asked.

“Um… Who are you? I don’t think you’re from our village.”

“It’s me, Jamie. Jamie from the southern ivy log cabin.”

“Huh? Jamie? No, Jamie is a man… isn’t he?”

    She sighed and said.

    “I was a man. Now I’m a woman.”

    “Huh…”

The Village Chief and his party stared at her, speechless, at the news that her gender had changed.

“It seems like I’ve been more surprised recently than I have in my entire life… Anyway, I’m really glad you’re alive. Is Rosie safe?”

“She’s here too. She hasn’t regained consciousness yet, though… I’m the only one who’s woken up among the people here.”

    “Hmph, terrible.”

Jamie’s face brightened when she saw Eva next to the Village Chief.

“Ah, Eva, you’ve come too! Is there anything you need?”

“What do I need… Just take care of yourself. Are there any other problems?”

“Not yet… Thank you for your concern!”

Eva was a figure of respect for Jamie, who had witnessed her saving them in the past. Eva was a little awkward at her excessive kindness, but she didn’t dislike it.

“Jamie, I hope your wife recovers soon too.”

    “Yes…”

Asha’s group, having examined Jamie and the patients, left the ward and headed for another ward. Jamie, who had no good reason to follow them, stayed in the ward.

    ‘Rosie… What should I do?’

Can a woman and a woman be a couple? Jamie knew better than anyone how much Rosie had wanted to have a child even before she married her wife. She quietly clutched her chest.

    ‘With this body… I don’t know…’

    “Ugh…”

Jamie’s face flushed as her body heated up again today. Jamie’s body had been freed from the Tentacles, but her experience as a seed bearer for the Tentacles remained on her body and mind like an indelible scar. Even now, breast milk flowed out of her breasts with just a little squeeze, and her lower abdomen periodically became wet.

She wished she was unconscious instead. If she was, she wouldn’t have to suffer from these worries… Jamie, unable to masturbate in front of the Orc Sorcerers, could only pant and clench her legs.

“You saved so many people. Well done, Eva. You seem to have become stronger after your body changed, so I’m realizing that the world is wide.”

“I’d say it was luck. I guess that guy didn’t just do bad things to me.”

While Eva and Walter were talking, Asha checked the quest again.

[Quest 7: Defend the Village – Remaining Humans in the Village: 354]

‘It seems like the number of people Eva saved has increased again. It seems like this quest won’t end until I completely eliminate the Tentacles, since the quest hasn’t ended yet?’

It seemed like this quest would be a little longer than Asha had thought. Asha was worried about Lucia, who had been strangely depressed since the day before, and spoke to her.

“Lucy, what’s wrong? Are you sick?”

“I couldn’t do anything while Mom was getting hurt… Even though I’m stronger than Mom.”

Asha chuckled at Lucia’s cute worries.

“Our daughter is helpful just by being next to Mom. If you hadn’t been there during the last battle, more people would have died. Mom is proud of Lucia.”

Lucia’s eyes widened at Asha’s words.

    “Really? You’re proud of me?”

“Of course! Our daughter is the best! Mom is always grateful to Lucy.”

Asha hugged Lucia tightly. The group, knowing that Asha lived and died for Lucia, simply accepted Asha’s display of affection as usual. Lucia’s eyes flickered as she was held in Asha’s arms.

‘Should I become a daughter who is proud of Mom, or should I become a daughter who loves and protects Mom? Can I do both at the same time?’

Lucia held in her heart a question that even adults could not easily solve.
