    Chapter 337

    Chapter 337

    Otherworld Demon King Survival Guide.

    Episode 337: Dimensional Monsters (5)

    “Brother Kyuse isn’t a high-ranking demon!”

“By the standards of the demons in the Middle Realm, doesn’t he qualify as one?”

    “Relatively speaking, yes…!”

The Demon Realm was teeming with demons that could easily devour someone like me. However, those creatures couldn’t easily enter the Middle Realm. In a way, the two realms were almost completely separated.

If I were to compare it to a game, it was like Server 1 and Server 2. No matter how overpowered a character was in Server 1, it had nothing to do with Server 2.

I was the strongest demon in the Middle Realm, the equivalent of Server 2.

Truly a high-ranking demon through and through.

    — Blazing Blaze!

“This power, blazing in my hands, is proof of that!”

Harnessing the power of the blazing dark flames, I molded it into a perfect sphere.

I had already tested this power multiple times. Ever since my awakening after conquering my stepmother, I had repeatedly tested my dark magic. Until now, I thought focusing on direct combat skills was a waste of time, as no amount of training seemed meaningful in battle. But with my newfound strength, things have changed.

I judged that I could now create a meaningful flow in combat. To that end, I worked hard to enhance my dark magic.

    The result: Dark Flame.

    — Swoosh.

As I continued to weave the spell, I glanced ahead.

    “Guooooo!”

A mass of flesh towering several meters high—a creature that could well be called a Flesh Golem—roared.

    “Guooooo!”

The massive Flesh Golem raised its arms as if asking to be burned. If it began stomping its way toward the goblin infantry, there would be no stopping it!

    “That’s not going to happen!”

    — Shatter!

At last, I completed the spell for the Dark Flame. As I was not a combat specialist demon, casting dark magic still took me some time.

    Nevertheless…

    — Fwoooosh!

I gathered the completed Dark Flame in both hands and aimed it at the creature.

    “Hah…!”

    “Shah…!”

The women around me gasped, covering their mouths as they watched. Honestly, even I was impressed.

    — Thud, thud!

As the Flesh Golem began its charge, I took aim!

    “Fire!”

    I unleashed the Dark Flame!

    — Boom!

The dark, malevolent energy shot forth like a massive jet of water surging from beneath the surface.

    — Sssshhh!

The torrent of magic burned through the air, advancing rapidly, as if a dragon was soaring through the sky. Within less than five seconds…

    — Kaaa-boooom!

    Its destructive power was absolute.

    — Crackle!

With a single shot, the Flesh Golem was obliterated!

    “Yes!”

The explosion scattered pieces of flesh from the Flesh Golem in all directions. Each piece was consumed by the Demon Realm’s flames, preventing regeneration. Burning was the only way to stop these creatures.

    A highly effective attack.

With that one strike, I vanquished the massive beast!

    “Shit! That’s insanely strong!”

    “Incredible power…!”

“Shahh! Master, you’re amazing! You’re just like Lilriel!”

The female officers around me exclaimed in awe. Comparing my Dark Flame Cannon to the Fallen Angels’ Hellfire Cannon? Perhaps I should test which was stronger next time.

“But that’s not all I’ve got!”

Since I was already on the battlefield, I might as well give my powers a proper trial run!

    “Let’s go!”

I surveyed the battlefield to find a relatively weak spot. Immediately, I acted.

    “Tentacle Summon!”

I conjured a tentacle magic circle in the area!

    — Hum.

The ground beneath the fleshy monsters began to glow with the magic circle, and tentacles started writhing and emerging.

“Originally used to subdue women, but today, these tentacles will serve in combat! Take this!”

    — Zap!

I controlled dozens of tentacles as though they were extensions of my arms and legs, fully demonstrating my mastery.

    — Splat!

I tore apart chunks of flesh attempting to regenerate and coiled the tentacles around the eyeball monsters that sought to form the Flesh Golem’s core.

    “Explode!”

    — Boom!

    I crushed and detonated them!

    “Hahaha! This is possible too!”

If I increased my magical power further, I might even crush human soldiers with tentacles. Controlling both dark magic and tentacles? No Demon King had ever done this before.

    Everyone shall bow beneath me!

“Brother Kyuse, your creativity is impressive!”

As I triumphed on the battlefield, Karuti excitedly chattered beside me.

    “Right?”

“Yeah! At this level, it’ll definitely work in real battles! From supporting the soldiers’ firepower to providing combat assistance! You’re the perfect role model for a field commander!”

Being a Demon King seemed far from such a position.

But then again, even the legendary heroes in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms simultaneously commanded and fought. From the perspective of a modern person like me, commanders were expected to stay in the rear command post and issue orders. However, in this medieval battlefield, it was common for commanders to fight on the frontlines.

“Is this the power of demons? Honestly, it seems more impressive than battle mages.”

    Vanessa marveled at my abilities.

    “Thank you for the compliment.”

While this world did have numerous mages, even the most talented battle mages cannot use magic the way I did.

Whether it was superhuman strength or magical abilities, humans were no match for demons or angels.

“Humans’ strength has regressed compared to the past.”

    Karuti chimed in.

“Yeah. I think I’ve heard something like that before.”

Well, that was not really important right now, so let’s skip it.

“Whatever the case, this guy’s always using his tentacles to torment women, and now he’s using them to beat up monsters too. What the hell is this?”

Reika crossed her arms and spoke with a mix of disbelief and annoyance.

“Hey, Lady Reika. Can’t you just appreciate my efforts for once?”

“You’re thinking of using those tentacles on us again, aren’t you?”

“Those are just constructs of my magic! They’re not even alive! And even if I did—”

    “Exactly!”

    Anyway!

“Keryaaaah! Our great master is invincible!!!”

    “Kerrrk! Kill them all!”

    “Kerrrrrng!”

The soldiers, inspired by my performance, were ecstatic, their morale skyrocketing. With the Demon King personally showcasing his power, how could they not be motivated?

“I’ll support you! Annihilate them all!”

    “Keryaaaah!”

Controlling the tentacles and unleashing low-output Dark Flame Blasts, I continued to take down the Flesh Golems.

    Finally, the defense was complete.

    “Phew! It’s finally over!”

All the attackers were destroyed. Although they could regenerate, it took time, and the battle was already over. My soldiers were now preventing their regeneration by attacking relentlessly.

    — Fwoosh!

We poured oil on the remaining corpses and burned them. That should eliminate any concerns about them coming back to life.

“Phew. Karuti, that was tougher than I expected.”

“You’ve used up too much magic power, Brother Kyuse. How about taking a rest?”

    “Sounds good.”

    There’s still much to do.

It seemed there were no survivors left in this city. What’s next? Scour the city to eliminate stragglers and loot it. We’d likely find plenty of valuables once we stripped the city clean.

I was already salivating at the thought.

“Still, Brother Kyuse, we don’t know how many more of them are out there. We need to prepare for more battles.”

    “True.”

“And… identical creatures might appear in other places.”

    “Oh.”

While they fell here this time, they might invade other places in the future—counties, baronies, or even the Angelic Realms. Randomly dropping in and sparking battles.

These dimensional beasts were unwelcome variables in this already intricate power dynamic.

    “Kerrrk! Master!”

At that moment, Buril came running.

    “What is it, Buril?”

“While burning the beasts, I found this!”

    Buril handed me something.

    — Sparkle!

It was a jewel-like object glowing red… Ah! That’s right!

    “Karuti! Isn’t this that thing?”

“The essence of a beast…! Yes! If you absorb this, Brother Kyuse, it’ll effectively enhance your power!”

    “Oho!”

I’d gather all of these and consume them!

“But how did this form? We didn’t extract it separately.”

“It must’ve reacted to your magic power, Brother Kyuse. So, let’s use this as an opportunity to grow stronger! If you gather and absorb these essences, you’ll experience significant growth!”

    “That’s the plan!”

If we find more remnants or their core forms, extracting the essences should yield even more experience.

While I usually grew stronger through other means, absorbing these might lead to new types of power.

“Good! Buril! Collect all these essences from the battlefield and bring them to me! After that, let’s rest a bit!”

    “Kerrrk! Understood! But Master!”

    “Yes?”

    “When do we loot?”

“After cleaning up and recovering our stamina! Then we’ll loot with full force!”

    “Kerrrk! Got it!”

I was especially looking forward to raiding the baron’s castle. Being a baron, there must be something worthwhile inside.

“Alright, everyone, let’s keep it up! Pixies, take turns scouting!”

    “Understood!”

Unless something stronger showed up, we should be able to finish this without any issues and return victorious.

Still, it was a shame there were no survivors.

Without survivors, there was no one to spread tales of our heroic deeds.
