Chapter 30 : Slaughter(3)
by AfuhfuihgsWoojin, who had been desperately screaming for help, finally lowered his head when no one answered.
“Han Yejin… f*ck, you said you’d take responsibility as the Guild Leader… why aren’t you coming when I call…”
At the resigned guy’s final mumble, I doubted my ears and asked.
“…Wait, say that again. What’s the Guild Leader’s name?”
“Han Yejin. What? First time hearing it? Didn’t you know too?”
Han Yejin.
Even the family name was the same as the person I knew.
“That Rank 2 Han Yejin, you probably know her better than I do, right? Weren’t you close with her back then?”
“So, you’re saying that Yejin ordered you to capture me alive?”
“Yeah! She said she’d train me however she wanted and make me her belly-punching s*ave! Happy now?”
I flicked my index finger upwards.
Then the ice that had only encased his lower body began to creep up towards his waist and neck.
“Belly-punching s*ave… right, I remember a little now.”
Her nickname when I first saw her.
I hadn’t remembered it because she used a nickname change coupon less than a few hours after we first met, but hearing the keyword ‘belly
punching’ brought it back.
At the time, it was hard to find a nickname more perverted than mine, so I was quite shocked.
I even wondered if such nicknames weren’t punished.
‘BellyPunchingFetishist.’
It made sense, according to my sister’s testimony, Yejin had always been prickly with slight sadistic tendencies – but the Yejin I knew
personally had an uncharacteristically timid personality and was surprisingly considerate, lacking the courage to realize those fantasies in
reality.
To think that kind Yejin had been seeing me like that.
And, to think she tried to use my sister as bait to ‘train’ me.
The embarrassing implements in the room where I had been unconscious and seated in a chair must have belonged to Yejin, given the
circumstances.
If everything had gone according to her intentions…
‘That was a close call…’
However, there was still one unresolved question.
Having known Yejin for a long time, I knew how thoroughly and meticulously she handled even ordinary matters.
Moreover, Yerim, who supposedly became a co-Guild Leader with her, was even more thorough, not less.
It was impossible that those sisters, the epitome of meticulousness and thoroughness, would capture me alive and not only fail to apply
magical restraints but also fail to tie me up properly.
That meant there was an accomplice who helped me within the [Helbando] guild…
“Woojin?”
“What, you fcking btch.”
When I called the guy who was freezing to death right before my eyes, he spat out a curse, limp as if exhausted even from screaming.
‘Well, it doesn’t seem like he saved me.’
If this guy had been the one who saved me, it was obvious he would have plausibly claimed he couldn’t overcome his old friendship and
released me, demanding leniency long ago.
I removed his name from the list of suspects.
That left very few suspects.
Yejin, who had personally ordered my capture, wouldn’t have released me, and Yerim, who basically followed her sister’s lead, was tentatively
placed outside the scope of suspicion.
“Ugh… I can’t figure it out.”
The only trace left by the one who freed me was a rope cut by something sharp, but it was too much to deduce anything from that alone.
It would probably be difficult even for Sherlock Holmes or the little detective from that Japanese manga.
A sharp kitchen knife or cutter was a tool anyone could obtain if they put their mind to it.
Clutching my head in thought, I realized that, separate from that matter, I now had one more reason to deal with another old friend before
my eyes.
“Hey. Thinking about it, does that mean you heard the news that your old friend was going to be subjected to ‘imprisonment belly-punching
training’ and still handed me over to them?”
As I flicked my index finger upwards and drew upon my mana, my mana spread throughout the area responded, causing the ice to
proliferate.
Just before his pathetic body, with all four limbs frozen and severed, was completely covered in ice, he shouted with his last bit of strength.
“Sorry! I’m sorry, you fcking btch! Honestly, I thought you’d actually like being trained by such a beauty! I’m sorry, so just let me live once-“
“Calling me a b*tch until the very end. What an idiot.”
His desperate cry was cut short, unfinished.
Because the ice had covered his face and even his vocal cords.
“…He’s probably not dead.”
Ogres are synonymous with tenacious life.
They don’t die easily from something like this.
His severed limbs would likely grow back within a few months if he received medical treatment.
Of course, I didn’t know if he could survive having all his limbs cut off and then his entire body frozen… but if he died, it wasn’t my problem.
There’s no proof I killed him, so what do I care?
Since he sold out a friend, he must have been prepared for this level of revenge.
Lifting his body, now an ice statue while still alive, using a skill, I flew towards the distant stadium where the cheers of users could be heard.
-And now.
“Hello, Guild Leader.”
Before me stood Yejin, openly displaying her bewildered emotions.
“Where is my sister?”
“Th-that, Oppa, this is…”
“Shouldn’t you answer first?”
At my question, Yejin flinched and stepped back.
“If you don’t answer quickly, everyone here might see something painful.”
I skillfully mass-produced <Ice Bolt> in the air.
The target of the ice arrows, numerous enough to darken the stadium, was obvious.
“Because I’m a little angry right now.”
The sharp arrowheads were aimed at—the vitals of the users sitting in the stadium’s spectator seats.
Like master swords forged with all the artisan’s strength, all users who received the sharp, clear killing intent began to feel an inexplicable
chill.
“Normally, when I’m sunk in laziness, maybe not, but an angry dragon is scary, you know?”
-[Synchronization Rate: 0.5% achieved. <Hidden Race Perk Skill – Dragon Fear> is unlocked.]
As if responding to the fear felt by the people below, the blood of the great race surged.
My heart pounded violently, and the pure mana contained within my blood began to frantically circulate throughout my body.
I reflexively opened the status window to check my mana stat.
For some reason, the mana stat was soaring towards four digits.
In the game, my mana stat barely surpassed 700 even with various end-game items equipped, yet now, without a single item equipped, it far
exceeded my previous record.
“Fwooo…”
A sense of superiority, like a pleasure incomparable to just moments before, something I had never experienced in my life.
Suddenly, I remembered the superiority and pleasure I felt as a child when my test scores were better than the model student friend who
used to call me stupid, making him cry.
The feeling itself was similar, but the intensity was incomparable to back then.
If that experience was like the relief felt from drinking or smoking, this pure pleasure, though I’d never tried them, couldn’t be compared
even to nicotine or heroin.
It felt like a sensation thousands, tens of thousands of times squared compared to that childhood experience, traveling up my central nervous
system and melting my brain.
-[Destroy those foolish beings immediately!]
Clutching my head at the unknown voice ringing inside, I suppressed my own desires with superhuman patience.
Because I felt that if I listened to that voice any further, I would cease to be myself.
“…He’s the one who harmed our executive! Combatants! Attack him now!”
Before my conversation with Yejin could conclude, an interruption came.
The [Helbando] users, seeing Woojin lying on the ground with severed limbs, drew their weapons.
Most seemed to be low-level production class users or newbies who enjoyed life content, but regardless of their level, they were still a
hindrance to the conversation.
To clear away the annoying small fry, I cast a spell.
Investing the time it would take to compute thousands of low-grade spells, the single magic circle drawn was enormous enough to fill the
entire soccer stadium.
<Dragon Language Magic: JUPITER’s Lightning>
Above the blue magic circle, black clouds gathered, forming a massive thunderhead.
At the drastic change in weather, like a miracle from mythology, the moment all the users’ movements paused briefly,
A flash erupted.
