Chapter 3: A Forced Name Change
by AfuhfuihgsMy sister’s food sat cooling on the living room table, uneaten. Her earlier behavior had completely ruined my appetite. I won’t be controlled, I thought. I won’t obey her.
A couple of hours later, she knocked. I had no intention of opening the door.
–Bang! Bang! Bang!
When I didn’t respond, the knocking grew more forceful, a clear display of her anger.
Knowing she was getting increasingly frustrated, I decided to give in before things escalated. I opened the door.
“What… are you back for?”
“Finally. Nothing much. We need to change your name, Yunho.”
Change my name? She pulled a folded piece of paper from her jacket pocket and handed it to me.
It was a name change application form.
“Yunho, no, Yunha. You’re a girl now, so your name needs to change too.”
“What are you…”
Yunha? Now she wants to change my name? First the slap, now this? She was incredibly self-centered.
“No. I won’t do what you say.”
“How many times do I have to tell you? Call me Unni. And you have to fill this out.”
Her voice was sweet, but her expression was anything but.
I refused to be intimidated. “Yunho isn’t a bad name. I think it suits me.”
She made a move as if to slap me again, then stopped. “This isn’t working,” she muttered, switching tactics. “Yunha, you’re a girl now. You need to let go of your male name and start living as a woman.”
She sighed in frustration and ran a hand through her hair, a gesture she only made when truly angry.
“Lee Yunho. Listen to me while I’m being nice.”
The atmosphere was heavy, suffocating. The fact that she used my full name, including my family name, showed how angry she was. It had been years since I’d seen her like this.
Defeated, I began filling out the form, hands trembling, tears welling up.
[Sieun’s Perspective]
When my sibling called to tell me about the TS Syndrome, I could barely contain my glee.
“It… it actually worked…?” I whispered, a smile spreading across my face. The truth was, I, Lee Sieun, had orchestrated Yunho’s transformation. I’d stumbled upon an article online: “How to Turn a Man into a Woman.” Skeptical but intrigued, I hired someone to carry out the method on Yunho. I was rich, the CEO of a massive corporation.
Why? you ask. Well, everyone prefers a cute, albeit incompetent girl to an incompetent man, right? This way, I could “reform” my sibling and satisfy my own desires. Two birds, one stone.
I got into my car, a giddy smile playing on my lips.
“Hee hee.”
Suppressing my childish giggles, I drove to Yunho’s—no, Yunha’s—apartment. Just wait, Yunho. I’ll mold you into the perfect little sister.
