Group Designation Ceremony (1)

    Group Designation Ceremony (1)

[Infinity Arena 2nd Preliminary – Final Phase Passed]

    Congratulations, adventurer ‘Gawol’.

You have secured your advancement to the main tournament of Infinity Arena.

This is a great first step and will be an example for all adventurers.

We have included a small reward to express our congratulations.

    [Attached Items]

    – Main Tournament Group Designation Ceremony Invitation x1

    – 2nd Preliminary (Final Phase) Reward Package x1

    – Title: Best of 32 x1

After the bunny girl was eliminated with “Pervert!” as her last words.

I rode the momentum to proceed to the final round.

In a single-elimination tournament, the number of participants is halved with each round.

Among the rapidly decreasing survivors, there were no weak ones.

But my last opponent was an archer class, which had a severe compatibility issue.

Regardless of the opponent’s skill, it became an easier battle than Camellia or Haruka.

The result was exactly as written in the system message.

Even though it’s an event tournament, I grasped one of only 32 tickets in the world.

A thrill rose from my tightly clenched fist.

[Title: Gawol confirmed to advance to Arena main tournament]

Even in the community I briefly looked around, Gawol’s name was heard everywhere.

It wasn’t just praise, but that didn’t matter anyway.

I sprawled on the floor, immersed in the afterglow of victory.

It felt like I had the whole world.

It didn’t feel real that such a thing could happen to me.

It seemed like I might wake up from a dream when I sleep and wake up.

I’ll stay like this until I feel like it.

Elderin and SoolBbang were wrapping up their broadcast, and Luche seemed to have ended her broadcast earlier.

It should be fine to laze around like this for a little while.

While I was thinking about it, I saved Luche’s broadcast portion in advance.

Being rather cautious in nature, she often deletes the replay.

I had no intention of missing today’s broadcast at the very least.

After all, it’s a historic day for me.

    [Whisper from Elderin]

    – Finished wrapping up the broadcast 🙂

    – I have something to discuss briefly, is that okay?

    – I’ll wait in the voice channel~

Something to discuss? Is there anything left?

I’m not sure, but they must have called for a necessary reason.

Looking at the server, Elderin had already secured a channel.

[You have entered Voice Channel 3.]

《 You’re here! Please wait a moment. SoolBbang will be here soon too.

    “What’s the matter?”

《 Since you’ve advanced to the main tournament. Our commentary is over, right? 》

    “Ah…”

Come to think of it, that’s right.

From the Arena main tournament, the game company, as the organizer, gets officially involved.

There will be a group designation ceremony soon, and all matches will be broadcast through official channels.

Of course, we’ll be able to see famous commentators too.

Even though they did quite well this time, Elderin and SoolBbang weren’t professional commentators.

Their commentary broadcast was only up to this point.

I must have been quite excited.

    I hadn’t thought this far.

《 The match was really amazing. My congratulations are a bit late, but congratulations on your victory. 》

“Thank you, me too. You’re the first to readily extend a hand to me, Elderin.”

《 Hehe. Is that so? Then next time we meet in the field, will you go easy on me? 》

“I won’t kill you. I have some decency too… it would be a bit awkward, wouldn’t it.”

I really had no intention of killing Elderin from now on.

She wasn’t a target I would aim for in the first place.

Last time, she just happened to catch my eye when I was suffering from menstrual cramps.

It’s a bit disappointing that I can’t kill SoolBbang, but I guess this is my way of repaying kindness.

There are many streamers in the world, so I’ll have to look for someone else.

But maybe they’ll forgive me if I visit once or twice occasionally?

SoolBbang’s viewers enjoyed it too. If there’s really no one else to kill, maybe it’ll be okay just then.

    I should ask separately later.

[‘SoolBbang’ has connected to Voice Channel 3.]

    《 I’m here. 》

《 Yes. Shall we start with the most important topic? 》

《 Let’s do that. Gawol. We need to distribute the donations we received, how do you want to receive it? 》

    “Uh… huh?”

My thoughts stopped for a moment at SoolBbang’s words.

Distribution? Come to think of it, we talked about that at the beginning.

They said they would divide the donation revenue between the two broadcasts.

I thought the conditions didn’t seem bad, so I agreed.

But thinking about it now, how should I receive the money?

    I knew nothing about streamers.

    “How is it usually done?”

《 If you’re not sure, just give me your account number. I’ll send it right away. If there’s any other revenue generated, I’ll poke you again in a month. 》

“Account number? Uh, that… give me a moment. Give me some time.”

《 Take your time. It’s not like we’re in a rush or anything. 》

Ah, so they just put it in the account.

Seems simpler than I thought. Of course, I had an account I use too.

I needed a place to receive money to cash out the resources I earned.

However… to receive this, I have to reveal my real name.

    Is that okay?

Why am I hesitating over revealing just three characters of my name?

I couldn’t easily open my mouth.

The reason I’ve kept my personal information secret until now was only because I was wary of siege guilds.

But Elderin has no connection to siege guilds. SoolBbang only enjoys it lightly, like a mercenary each season.

Logically, there shouldn’t be any problem with letting these two know my name.

    “…Nobel Bank. 70301-6581-2204 Han Da-eun.”

    《 Han Da-eun? Wait a bit. I’ll send it right now. 》

    “Mmm.”

《 I sent it too! Please check. 》

Only after saying it did I realize.

I was uncomfortable equating the Gawol of this world with the real me.

Because Gawol isn’t a limper like me, nor a loner trapped in a single room.

Even if I’m stuck in a gutter, I want Gawol to shine.

Such a childish feeling must have been in my heart.

This and that misery only lasted for a moment.

The moment I checked my account at the deposit notification.

My mouth gaped open at the amount, which was more than I expected.

“Is, is it this much? Are you sure you didn’t send it by mistake?”

《 I sent it without any mistakes. 》

《 Me too. I’ll send you a screenshot of the donation details now. 》

    “Oh, okay. I see…”

Somehow I feel like I’m the only fool here.

    My head lowered involuntarily.

《 But isn’t it a shame to end it like this? 》

    * * *

There was still some time left before the 2nd preliminary ended.

It seems there are still many who haven’t started matching.

There are many foreign users so there’s a time difference issue, and some might have scheduled broadcasts like me.

For a while, I was able to relax without anything special happening.

[Title: Infinity Arena Highlights of Gawol vs Haruka as seen by a top ranker]

I usually don’t write analysis posts because it’s bothersome

But as a Mo1 assassin user, this made my blood boil

    (Attached video: Round 1 melee)

First, round 1 is nothing special

Won by having a mud fight to not give time to the opponent

Had confidence that they’d win if they dragged it out like this, and accomplished it

The fact that the opponent was Haruka is significant

There are hardly any kunoichi better than her even in Japan

She actually played pro for a while and her performance wasn’t bad

(Attached photo: Gawol engaging with Haruka)

(Attached photo: Close-up of only the dagger)

Looking at the dagger photo, they were already building up silver threads at this point

Means the final silver thread in round 2 was prepared long ago

Probably thought of it from the moment the opponent showed silver threads

It wouldn’t have been easy to control with Gawol’s build, but that made it harder to imagine

(Attached video: Partial defense against Killing Dance)

They just block and overcome this?

And it’s Haruka’s Killing Dance of all things?

For those who don’t know, let me explain

The original way to deal with Killing Dance is to use all survival skills to get through it

The best is to prevent it from being used at all

But that’s not easy against a kunoichi of that level

Because they didn’t show what card they were holding here

Haruka couldn’t choose a frontal breakthrough

I was uncertain until Camellia, but after seeing this match, I’m sure

There’s no one among domestic assassins who plays as well as Gawol

    You think I’m exaggerating?

    Just assume you’re right

(Attached video: International match. KOR Sparrow vs UK Reaper)

Even Sparrow, who’s a top-tier assassin domestically, can’t exert power in international matches

It’s been a really long time since I felt this thrill from a domestic assassin match

I want to see that Gawol playing in the pro league

We get beaten every year in international matches, please save us just once

If only the assassin line is reinforced, Korea can really cause an upset once

    [Comments]

    – Wasn’t Gawol just a one-trick for field ambushes? They’re appearing often these days

└ Would a one-trick ambusher reach Infinity every season?

└ They’re in the lower ranks of Infinity though

└ Because they only do enough to get rewards!!!!!!!!!

    – Oh Korea can’t do it anyway~

A top-tier user within the top 300 of Infinity in the previous season.

At that level, they should have discerning eyes.

The corners of my mouth curled up pleasantly as I looked over the post.

“Gawol. Did something good happen? You look very happy.”

    “Huh? No, it’s nothing.”

“If there’s something fun, let’s look together. Or maybe a boyfriend?”

    “Absolutely not!”

“Hmm… Okay, I got it for now.”

The halfling bard, Sansae, smiled slyly.

It’s now a few days before the end of the 2nd preliminary.

I was in the middle of eagerly participating in party hunts again.
