Chapter 27 : The Heavenly Voice (1)
by fnovelpia
“Are you really okay with this?”
I slightly parted my lips.
Kim Hayun’s proposal was bigger than I had expected.
At least for someone who dreams of being a streamer, this was a huge opportunity.
It wasn’t a chance that could be earned simply by having good broadcasting skills.
If you don’t have connections, it’s a tough opportunity to grab unless you’re working with a big company.
Since I’d already decided to debut as a VTuber, this was something I had to take advantage of.
“Is it too much for you? If it seems difficult, you can decline.”
Kim Hayun said with a small smile.
“Since you’ll be meeting a lot of people, it might be overwhelming.”
“No, no… Thank you. I’d be so grateful if you invite me.”
There was no reason to decline.
If anything, I felt like I wanted to bow down in gratitude.
A golden ticket.
It wasn’t a metaphor; it was truly something that could only be described by those four words.
“But why me? Why give something so precious to me…?”
This was something every streamer would want—a special opportunity.
From the giver’s side, it was a benefit given first to those with verified connections.
And yet, she was offering it to someone who hadn’t even started streaming yet.
It almost made me wonder if I should be thanking her or not.
“It’s not just because of my goodwill. I’m doing this because I think it’s the best decision for me.”
Kim Hayun said with a playful smile.
“You’re getting this because you have the ability to handle it. That’s all.”
You’re getting it because you can handle it.
At first, it might sound like a calculated decision, but within those words was a hidden message not to feel burdened.
Kim Hayun always had the ability to offer something in a way that didn’t make the other person feel pressured.
When she said that, it lessened the burden for the receiver.
“By the way, is it okay if I eat a little more chicken?”
Kim Hayun looked at the seasoned chicken.
“Yes, go ahead. It’s the only thing I can offer…,” I said.
I had taken it out to share in the first place.
I wasn’t even that hungry.
I wasn’t sure whether it was a big advantage or a disadvantage after becoming a woman, but my appetite had shrunk.
With just one chicken, I felt like I could live for two days if I managed it well.
It probably had to do with my smaller frame, so it seemed natural.
One advantage was that my food expenses had gone down significantly.
After finishing the chicken breast, Kim Hayun hesitated for a moment before grabbing the neck bone instead of the remaining wings.
I could really feel that she was a great person.
“By the way.”
After having a simple lunch with seasoned chicken, Kim Hayun, who had been looking at me, made a playful expression.
“I thought you were a man when I first saw you, Silver Hair.”
It was understandable to have that misconception.
Usually, men are the ones who are good at games.
Women tend to have weaker gaming skills.
That rule still applied even after the world had changed.
In the professional gaming scene, the top-tier players were all men.
Occasionally, female trainees were accepted, but no one had officially debuted yet.
So, if a sudden gaming pro appeared, it made sense to assume they were a man.
“But to think you’d be such a cute girl. Thanks to that, the pressure is a lot less.”
Ah, this part was definitely important.
As a female streamer, it was inevitable that getting involved with men would cause psychological pressure.
But if the one getting involved was a woman, fans didn’t care if they flirted, kissed, or did whatever.
In fact, they’d only cheer loudly, asking to “save the polar bear” or something similar.
“Oh, and it’s also because of what I mentioned earlier.”
Kim Hayun put her hands together slightly, almost like she was making a request.
“Would it be possible to do a joint broadcast today? Now that I’ve heard your voice, I think it’d be fine.”

【Today’s Broadcast Time Change Notice】
Did Deling members have lunch?
The song broadcast was scheduled for 8 PM, right?
But… with the special guest invitation, the broadcast time has been moved up by an hour. (with Silver Hair♡)
We’ll be live at 7 PM~.
Let’s have fun together later!
A lot of songs have been prepared, so please look forward to it~ (´꒳`)
***
Broadcast notice posted on Rydel’s official cafe.
The original broadcast was scheduled for 8 PM, but Rydel moved it up by an hour.
In reality, changing the broadcast time by an hour wasn’t a big deal.
What mattered was the joint broadcast with Silver Hair.
If it were a game stream, it would make sense considering Silver Hair’s gameplay, but today’s content wasn’t a game broadcast.
【So, are they doing a joint broadcast for today’s song stream?】
[Does that mean we can hear sweet Silver Hair’s voice? Heehee…]
Imagining his voice is making my heart race.
‘N-gay gay…’
N-block, thanks
【Isn’t this just for laughs? I’m not sure about a song stream with a guy though…】
[Isn’t this a bit too much? Won’t Deling members go crazy?]
It’s really a bit much.
I feel like it’s going to go wild once the broadcast starts.
If his voice sounds really deep, it’s going to be hilarious, right?
Nah, if his voice sounds good, the vibe would get weird.
【Rydel doing another joint broadcast?】
[Are they doing another joint broadcast with Silver Hair? What’s their relationship? LOL]
Unicorn is crying LOL.
Honestly, it’s been a bit suspicious lately LOL.
I was skeptical about it suddenly happening.
【But what’s wrong with a joint broadcast?】
[Isn’t that just something everyone does? (I really don’t know)]
I get it, but it’s just so sudden.
Yeah, changing the broadcast schedule like that is why it’s confusing.
N-yeah, they need to finish the stream quickly and go on a date~.
【If they’d been doing joint broadcasts from the start, I’d understand.】
[It’s kind of surprising since they’ve barely ever done joint streams with guys before.]
For real.
After meeting Silver Hair, I guess he turned out to be an alpha male .
【Rydel’s doing another joint broadcast again…】
[Wait, is she going to break her horns from this?]
In the online broadcast community, discussions about her joint broadcasts were starting to heat up.
It was partly due to her broadcasting style.
Broadcasters typically fall into two categories:
1. Those who form a crew and focus on joint broadcasts.
2. Those who prefer solo broadcasts over working with a crew.
Rydel was the latter.
She typically led broadcasts on her own.
Of course, she had done joint broadcasts before, but it was usually the other person who reached out first.
It was rare to see Rydel actively suggest a joint broadcast herself.
However, since meeting Silver Hair, she had been the one continuously suggesting joint streams.
Despite her easy-going nature, Rydel was still a female broadcaster, and a very attractive one at that.
Naturally, her fans couldn’t help but have romantic feelings.
For Rydel, who had given away a VR headset, actively flirted, and pushed for joint streams, it was inevitable that some fans would find it bothersome.
Of course, in such a situation, the most excited people were the trolls looking for drama.
There was no better bait than the “girlfriend” rumor about a female streamer.
【Damn, they’re making a big deal out of nothing.】
[You met someone with that much talent, and you wouldn’t do a joint broadcast?
If I were a streamer, I’d definitely aim for a joint broadcast at all costs.
Thanks to that, I hit a broadcast legend with Chain Roller, so I don’t understand why there’s so much dissatisfaction.]
For real, the Delbungs are just trying to make a good broadcast, but the hate is really intense.
Just watch the broadcast as a broadcast, it’s not that deep.
If it was just a gaming stream, I’d get it, but do they really have to invite him for a karaoke stream?
Of course, some people were criticizing, but this side had the majority opinion.
In the first place, the joint broadcasts were few and far between.
Moreover, because of Silver Hair, the broadcast had grown significantly, so suggesting a joint broadcast first was something any streamer would naturally do.
Most people thought the complaints over just two joint broadcasts were over the top.
However, there were still a lot of opinions saying that the karaoke broadcast was a bit of a stretch.
At this point, it was like smoke rising from a mountain.
If they put water on it now, nothing would happen, but who knew how big it could get over time?
7 PM.
Regardless of the smoke rising on the bulletin board, Rydel’s broadcast went live.
“Delha Delha, a lot of people today! Thanks for coming~”
The viewer count was rising faster than usual.
Typically, internet broadcasts would get a slight increase in viewers when a karaoke stream was on.
This was because there were some viewers who just listened in, like radio.
However, that was usually for streamers with decent singing skills, and since Rydel’s singing was nowhere near exceptional, karaoke streams didn’t typically lead to a big viewer boost.
But now, the viewer count was rising much faster than expected.
Even considering the joint broadcast with Silver Hair, the number was abnormally high.
However, Rydel continued the communication broadcast in her usual voice.
“Are you really doing a karaoke stream today?”
“I’ll mute it…”
“I think I’ll lose my hearing if I watch Delbung.”
“Delbung… Ah, there are so many messages, I can’t find it. Why do you keep coming up with strange fandom names when we already have a proper one?”
Rydel’s fandom name.
Originally, Rydel had come up with various fandom names herself.
Delusion, Delbung, Rydel Hearts, etc.
Among them, the official fandom name, chosen democratically through a vote, was “Delbung.”
It was a cute name with a nice sound, and it was a fandom name Rydel liked.
However, the problem was the laid-back atmosphere of Rydel’s streams.
Her fandom, made up mostly of tough, macho guys, didn’t really like the soft and cute name.
“‘Cheonma is going to the Academy’ donated 5000 won!”
What’s Delbung?
Is that from the influx?
“It’s the official fandom name, yes.”
“Rydel picked it as the fandom name.”
“It’s so embarrassing…”
“No, that’s not true! We voted and unified the fandom name to Delbung!”
“Defamation no no no no no!”
“We couldn’t choose the fandom name, so…”
“Delung picked everything.”
“How is that democracy?”
Of course, if the fans were asked to choose a fandom name, it was clear that all kinds of ridiculous names would be suggested.
So, Rydel chose all the fandom name candidates herself.
But Rydel’s fans weren’t satisfied with that, so they opened their own vote in the community and decided on a fandom name of their own.
“‘RydelDel17’ donated 5000 won!”
“It’s the result of a vote between Lairaicha and Delbung.”
“This is real democracy.”
“LOL, for real.”
“Ha, should I ban someone for old times’ sake?”
“Huh?”
“Huh?”
“Please save me.”
Rydel, however, just chuckled and said it casually.
She didn’t actually go on a banning spree.
It was just the usual WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) vibe.
However.
“‘ㅇㅇ’ donated 1000 won!”
“I came because I heard you’re singing love songs with your boyfriend today, haha.”
The WWE quickly turned into UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).
