Chapter 27: “Switch ON.” Wooowww Man’s dream, Switch GetDAZE★
by AfuhfuihgsA massive box sat in the center of the room.
Its signature red-and-blue design stood out, and the word “Switch” was printed on the side.
Switch series.
A premium game console series produced by MetaGames, it was the culmination of prior versions like the DS and 3DS.
“Naturally, the price reflects that too.”
The console itself cost around 300,000 won, and the game cartridges were sold separately.
Each game chip was about 50,000 won.
Still, since MetaGames practically monopolized the console market, consumers had no choice but to grit their teeth and buy the Switch.
Well, it’s not like I’m short on cash these days…
But still.
When you’ve spent your whole life broke, you can’t just shake off that broke-person mindset overnight.
I keep instinctively trying to save money.
“Come to think of it, I still need to finish that Nunenune snack.”
One box was still left from the four I bought last time.
Honestly, I was kind of sick of it from eating so much…
But what can I do?
I hate wasting things.
I’ll just power through and eat the rest.
“…But that can wait. Let’s unbox the console first.”
Drrrrrk! I extended the box cutter and sliced through the tape.
As I opened the box, I found a bunch of bubble wrap.
I moved it aside, deciding I’d pop it later when bored, and immediately opened the smaller box inside.
“Ooh… this is the Switch!”
Goodbye to the days of being the only one without a Switch!
Now I’m a “Switch owner” just like the other game streamers.
I can finally play all the trendy games on NewTube!
No more lagging behind the trends!
“Whew… whew…”
Unable to contain my excitement, I panted as I opened the box.
Right under the lid were two red and blue controllers and a big display screen.
There were also ring-shaped and stick-shaped accessories.
I peeled off the plastic and protective film and connected the controllers to the main unit.
Then I pressed the power button on the top-left corner of the console.
[MetaGames]
The developer’s logo flashed on screen, and the console powered up.
Then came the blank game selection screen.
I immediately connected the Switch to Wi-Fi and opened the store.
I registered the account I’d prepared and started downloading games that looked fun.
“The company’s paying for the games anyway. Might as well go nuts.”
Lunaverse covers game expenses by default.
Meaning I could buy as many games as I wanted with the company card.
Of course, I’d have to play them on stream only—but hey, at least I get to play the ones I always wanted to.
[Come Gather in the Twilight Forest]
[Golden Ring]
[Super Cooking Simulator]
[Wild Fantasia]
[Black Asphalt 10]
“Hmm… this should do.”
I threw the games I wanted into the cart and paid all at once using the linked account.
Twilight Forest was an old tycoon-style game that used to be popular.
It had various versions and cutesy graphics, making it a beloved classic for all ages.
Its core content was collecting, hunting, and decorating your house, with options to visit other players’ worlds.
Not sure if I’ll stream it.
It’s so old that I might get called a boomer if I play it now.
Super Cooking Simulator was, as the name suggested, a cooking game.
You used the stick controllers like kitchen utensils to simulate cooking more realistically.
Not sure I’ll stream that one either—I don’t even cook in real life.
Black Asphalt was a racing game.
The previous title had auto-drive and sparked debates between auto vs. manual purists, but version 10 went fully manual again.
Honestly, racing games should be manual.
If you’re gonna play on auto, what’s even the point?
Lastly, Golden Ring and Wild Fantasia.
These two were hot new RPGs that had been getting a lot of buzz lately.
Golden Ring was a Soulslike game known for its high difficulty.
It focused on intense timing-based combat with parries and dodging.
Apparently, it was pretty tough for beginners.
On the other hand, Wild Fantasia was an open-world RPG.
The goal was to explore a vast map and complete quests.
Its unique feature was the gacha system for acquiring characters.
Both games were praised for their high-quality graphics and immersive world-building.
I’d definitely end up streaming these two.
But they were also huge in terms of file size, so downloading them on my home Wi-Fi in a day was unrealistic.
I’d probably have to chip away at it little by little whenever I had time.
Anyway.
I impulsively downloaded five very different games.
Not sure if I’d actually stream them all…
But the game selection screen looked much more colorful now, and that made me feel good.
“Oh right, I should try connecting the console to my computer.”
To stream games, I needed to hook the Switch up to my PC.
It would’ve been nice if the Switch had Bluetooth or a built-in streaming feature, but sadly, it didn’t.
I connected both the power and communication cables to the Switch.
Following setup guides I found online, I adjusted the settings on my PC.
Soon, the Switch’s screen began streaming to my broadcasting software.
“Ohhh, it works!”
The Switch display appeared on my PC.
The selection screen with the five games I downloaded was now showing in real time on my monitor.
Of course, the Switch still had its own display too.
“I’ll handle the rest of the prep before the stream… For now, I should wash up.”
I’d been too excited about the console arriving this morning to even shower.
But I couldn’t exactly go live covered in overnight sweat.
I needed to feel fresh before streaming.
I headed to the bathroom and started undressing.
In the mirror stood a girl, glowing pale white.
Her skin was as fair and lively as her hair—so soft-looking it made you want to squish it.
And her vivid red eyes sparkled like twin rubies.
“Seriously, I’m always such a total babe…”
Prettier than anyone on TV or NewTube.
I honestly doubted there was another girl this beautiful in the whole world.
“If only my chest were a bit bigger, I’d be perfect…”
The one flaw was my small chest.
I frowned and cupped it with both hands.
There wasn’t much to grab, but I’d heard massaging it daily helped, so I made sure to do that.
…There had to be results.
My boobs had started to feel a little swollen lately.
Though 99.9% of that was probably PMS, but hey—0.1% is still odds worth betting on in gacha, right?
One day, I’d definitely be a B cup… no, a C cup!
Yup, it was bound to happen.
“…Let’s just hurry up and shower.”
I climbed into the tub and turned on the water.
It started off cold, then gradually warmed up.
Once it got hot enough, I let the water wash over my whole body.
I quickly lathered up and washed my hair with TSF shampoo and conditioner.
Then I rinsed off thoroughly and stepped out of the tub.
After the shower, I stood in front of the mirror.
Looking down, I noticed my belly had gotten a bit round.
I grabbed my stomach—it was about 3–4cm of soft, pudgy fat.
“…?”
What the hell?
Why did I gain weight?
In the two years since becoming a girl, I’d never put on this much.
Well, I had been eating more than usual lately.
There were times I’d eaten ridiculous amounts of food for my size.
And now that I had money, I’d gone on a food binge as a reward for all the years of poverty.
Jiggle.
And this was the result.
The part that should be jiggling (my chest) wasn’t, and instead it was just my stomach.
Living a life of eating, sleeping, and streaming had officially turned me into a pig…!!
“A-Aaaah. Aaaaaaaah…”
My peaceful expression melted into horror.
In my mind, I pictured that one NewTuber removing her makeup and saying “I’m not pretty.”
“…No. No way.”
I can’t let myself get fat.
I’m not about to become 82kg Kim Ji-young and start grifting money off simps!
If this keeps up, I’ll need the blue pill… and it’ll turn red…
I won’t be able to tell the Yuki-dan, “Don’t worry, I’m still a proper bishoujo inside.”
A real streamer maintains their appearance—even off camera.
I need to go on a diet.
Lose the weight and return to being the silver-haired, red-eyed cutie!
“…That’s right! Didn’t the Switch have a fitness game or something?”
Remembering something important, I quickly toweled off and headed to the living room.
I threw on a T-shirt and dolphin shorts, unplugged the Switch, and started drying my hair with the hairdryer while searching for a fitness game.
Whirrrrr~
“There it is!”
After a few minutes of searching, I finally found the workout game I’d vaguely remembered.
[Ring Fitness]
Ring Fitness. A game using the Switch’s ring-shaped accessory for exercise.
That was it.
The next game I’d play on stream was decided.
