Chapter Index

    In Sanuf

There are so many bastards who deserve a beating in [Regret and Obsessive Hero Flare].

‘What did Luna ever do wrong!’

I regret not having a ring with recovery magic.

‘I should cast recovery magic on those less-than-dogs and beat them more!’

Only after beating them until their whole bodies are red and blue do I realize someone is watching from behind.

‘I can’t see them, but my senses tell me something’s there.’

I kick Ruijin, the piece of trash, in the stomach with all my might one last time, sending him flying into a corner.

I smell a faint scent of blood and initially think it’s an assassin using invisibility magic.

I wait for him to approach, but he doesn’t come, so I slowly move closer.

The closer I get, the more familiar a woman’s fragrance fills my nose.

    ‘…Flare?!’

Did she see everything that just happened?

    ‘Think later.’

    “I know you’re there.”

The empty space ripples as if embarrassed.

‘This looks like the invisibility robe I gave Sophia.’

    “Shhh. Let’s run!”

I grope through the air, grab Flare’s hand, and dash off.

We run for a long time and arrive at a place they won’t be able to find us.

Flare takes off the hood of the robe, and the invisibility magic fades, revealing her.

    “Haa… haa… haa…”

“Whew. Whew. Whew. Are you okay, Flare?”

Her face is flushed red from being out of breath.

‘She saw me beat Ruijin or whatever his name is to a pulp, so Hati’s done for here.’

It’s a relief that my relationship with Scarl is getting better…

Suddenly, Flare trembles, and the vibration is transmitted through my hand.

    “Are you alright?”

Was the scene she just saw too scary? Is she sick?

Flare’s eyes are hazy, like someone possessed.

“Thank you for saving me, Senior.”

    She’s not scared?

    “Y-Yeah.”

    “Where are you going now?”

Because of his status as a noble, I couldn’t kill Ruijin, so Hati is out of the picture for the time being.

‘I’ll have to use Aiden to deal with him in the same way as before.’

“I have to run away. That guy Ruijin said he was a noble. To a place where he isn’t… What about you? How did you get the robe you gave to Princess Sophia?”

“…Sophia lent it to me. Here.”

Seeing their relationship, I guess that could happen.

“You should have used this sooner.”

You should have just run away.

“It’s okay. You came to help me, Senior, right?”

“I just happened to see it.”

    That was almost a disaster.

“But even if you hadn’t been there, Professor Scarl would have come to help me.”

Why is she suddenly talking about Scarl?

“Um… I mean. Professor Scarl would have protected me from him. He protected me in front of the station yesterday too.”

‘…She’s talking about another man, so she doesn’t like Hati.’

And it has to be me.

    Embarrassment slowly rises from within.

    “…I see.”

“Ehehe. But you’re the best, Senior. Thank you. Then I’ll see you at the academy next time, right?”

“U-Uh. I think so. I came here for a vacation job and saw that. Now, anywhere…”

Flare puts her hands behind her back and slowly approaches me as I ramble.

    What am I even saying?

I set Hati up as a rich son. No, if I say I came to manage my parents’ business—

    Chu!

Flare lifts herself up on her toes and then lowers back down.

‘Huh? Just now on my cheek…’

    I can only blink.

The bewitching red-eyed Flare licks her lips.

“Hehe, thank you so, so much, Senior♥”

    My head is blank.

Even if I touch my cheek, I can still recall the sensation from just now.

‘Scarl with Luna, Hati with Flare.’

    Hitting on both sisters…

    “Professor?”

    “Y-Yeah.”

It’s awkward to see Flare walking around in front of me, perfectly fine.

    “Are you sick somewhere?”

    Don’t come closer so casually.

    “Is something wrong, Scarl?”

    Luna. Your sister is weird!

“Scarl, would you like to go swimming now? We couldn’t yesterday.”

    Suddenly?

    “Sister. That’s a good idea.”

“Right? Let’s do it together. I applied for the night pool to be decorated this morning. Kasha said it’s very pretty.”

    “What about Sophia and Kasha?”

“I met them briefly before coming in, but they met Sanuf Toho and something came up. They told us to go ahead? Scarl. Are you okay?”

It might be better to cool my head with cold water.

    “Okay.”

    Night pool.

The pool is dyed in beautiful light as colorful lights reflect off the water.

The night air, with a pleasant temperature, warmly embraces us in our swimsuits.

    “How is it?”

Luna was even more beautiful under the various lights.

In particular, her huge volume, which she couldn’t hide even if she tried, was causing a tremor that would stimulate any man just by walking in the water.

‘So that’s how they can float like that.’

    “Eit.”

She does the same prank I did to her yesterday.

The lukewarm water held in Luna’s small palm soaks my body.

“How is it? Do you want to come in now?”

    “…I didn’t say I wouldn’t.”

    Flare slowly approaches from behind.

‘What is she trying to do?’

When I turn around, Flare is smiling brightly, revealing her flawless white skin without any trace of the marks from when she was beaten by Ruijin.

    ‘That’s a relief.’

    “Professor! Hurry up!”

I didn’t expect her to push me, so I lost my balance and fell on top of Luna.

    “Kyaa!”

    “Pthooo!!”

Surprised, my hand grabbed whatever it could, and I ended up brushing against Luna’s chest.

    ‘Oh no.’

“Sister! I’m sorry! Professor! I’m so sorry!”

Flare’s voice is flustered, as if she didn’t expect this either, and Luna quickly covers her chest.

    “…Please give it back quickly.”

The flesh that peeks out because she can’t cover it all with one hand is erotic.

I turn my head and hand Luna her swimsuit.

    “Here.”

In the time it takes me to turn around, Luna quickly puts on her bikini, passes me, and approaches Flare.

A voice that I barely hear as she passes by.

    “Don’t do that outside…”

    ‘What?’

“Flare! You’re going to get it! Eit!!”

“Kyaa! Professor! My sister is trying to strip me! Save me!”

    “When did I ever!”

The sight of the beautiful sisters, only wearing swimsuits, bickering with each other is a picture in itself.

The short and intense water play ended with the return of Sophia and Kasha.

I happened to meet Kasha and was touring around, talking about the internal affairs I was in charge of, when I met someone I didn’t want to see.

‘Not my brother, of all people.’

“Oh! My Sophia! To see you here! What a coincidence!!”

    ‘…A salty pirate.’

    Count Drake Sharkline.

A mere count with no territory, a hollow noble.

More famous to the world as the Pirate Count, he is of humble birth but is considered more powerful than anyone on the sea.

‘A pedo who has been courting me for over 10 years.’

That person doesn’t really want me.

    The imperial bloodline I possess.

He’s just a pirate, but he’s an arrogant man who thinks that he can somehow manage to get his hands on a fallen Princess Sophia, who has even received the title of count.

‘A bug-like man who is qualitatively different from my brother.’

The Emperor didn’t just give him the title of count, so what he manages on land is Sanuf’s security.

Looking at him now, he must have come out to extort money with thugs who look like soldiers.

‘I forgot that this was his jurisdiction.’

    Invincible at sea? Who?

Hero Flare and Luna are much stronger.

Sharkline pushes his disgusting face forward and approaches shamelessly, as if to prove that this is his front yard.

His guards surround us in an instant.

“Ooh. The woman next to you is decent too. Princess Sophia, for you to be walking around alone like this, I will escort you! Haha!”

His blatant soliloquy and the way he speaks as if it’s obvious that we’ll listen is disgusting.

    “I don’t want to, Count.”

    Sharkline’s face twitches once.

“Hahaha? Then I’ll take the woman next to you instead. In Sanuf, everyone suspicious has to go through my hands…”

    He’s openly flirting with me.

    “That won’t do, Count.”

“This is my land, Sanuf, as ordered by the Emperor. Princess. You guys. Escort the two of them well.”

‘He’s just a security officer, what does he mean by his land…’

“Let’s follow him for now, Princess.”

As Kasha said, breaking through this situation with force is not our role.

“Oh my! She listens well to her maid!”

As we were walking while being guarded by the Count, I met Luna, who was shopping for groceries.

    ‘Please just go. Sister. Please!’

    “Sophia? Kasha?”

The Count calls out to Luna as soon as he hears Sophia’s name.

“You there, miss! Are you with the Princess?”

Luna approaches, with the guards between us.

“Yes. I am. Who are you…?”

“I am Count Sharkline. Have you ever heard of the Sea Devil, the Pirate Count, miss?”

    “I’ve never heard of you. I’m sorry. I’m just a commoner…”

    ‘No. Luna.’

    “A commoner… Even better.”

A voice that only I and Kasha next to me can hear.

Looking at Luna’s expression, it seems she didn’t hear it.

I speak to stop him from flirting any further.

“Count Sharkline. Shall we go quickly?”

Sharkline gives a sly smile, noticing that I’m getting impatient.

“Oh! My. I’ve made the Princess wait. But what is the name of that beautiful miss over there?”

Luna, who has finally realized that something is wrong.

“I’m Luna. Princess Sophia, this is…”

    I quickly cut her off.

‘This isn’t the sea, so he won’t start anything from the beginning.’

“It’s nothing. Luna. I’ll tell you the details at the accommodation. We’ll be back after we’re done with the Count.”

    Kasha joins the conversation.

“The Pirate Count says he has something to discuss with Aiden.”

The Count looks at Kasha with a surprised expression at the mention of Aiden.

“…Aiden, you say? Ahahaha! Forget what I said earlier! Tall miss! I thought you were just someone sticking by the Princess’s side, but to think you’re from Aiden!”

Kasha gives a business smile and stands next to me.

“Allow me to formally introduce myself. I am the Vice Guild Master of Aiden. Count Sharkline.”

“Great! Even better! Let’s treat the two of you with the utmost respect and go to the mansion!”

“We’ll see you at the accommodation later, Luna.”

Luna steps back at Kasha’s words.

    “…See you later. Then.”

Her eyes were full of trust in us.

‘We haven’t just been playing around for the past five years either. I’ll end Sharkline here with Kasha.’

We followed Count Sharkline to his mansion.
