Chapter 25

Chapter 25
Otherworld Cheat Harem.
Episode 25: Level Up (4).
Conflicts with colleagues or the approach of strangers did not change our daily lives. We went down to the dungeon and hunted monsters as usual.
Hunting orcs, picking up mana stones. This routine flowed like water. Before we knew it, enough time had passed for us to save up to buy a mansion.
“Mr. Dojin.”
“Yes?”
“The amount you mentioned has been fully gathered… Shall we proceed with the mansion purchase?”
With Pion’s words, I realized anew that time had passed. A month had already gone by. That meant it had been 100 days since we fell into this world.
‘It’s short…’
A first laborer’s day was slower than anyone else’s in the world, but their month passed faster than anyone else’s.
We, hunting monsters and collecting mana stones, were no different from miners extracting minerals.
“Can we move in today?”
“Yes. I’ll prepare it for you.”
“Then… I’ll be at the inn. Please come over once the transaction is complete.”
“Understood.”
She was competent. It was fortunate to have her as an exclusive guild member. Thanks to her, I could head to the inn without any worries.
“It took longer than usual today.”
“They said they’ve gathered all the money.”
“…Really?”
“Yes. We’re finally getting our own house.”
“The mansion with the bathroom, right?”
“That’s right.”
Seoyoon seemed genuinely happy at the thought of finally escaping the cramped wooden tub bath, smiling as she moved.
Upon arriving at the inn, we immediately gathered the other kids. We couldn’t gather everyone, as some were wandering outside.
The Class President, Deokgu, and Gahee were present at this gathering. The presence of the other two people didn’t matter much.
“What’s going on?”
As soon as they were gathered, Deokgu, who was in the middle of preparing to create a newspaper in the room, asked directly as if he was busy. I informed them that I had purchased a mansion.
“I bought a house. A big mansion with more than eleven rooms.”
“…You bought a mansion?”
“Yes.”
“No, how already…? There’s no way houses are dirt cheap here, especially if it’s a big mansion with over ten rooms.”
“That’s—”
“Wait a minute!”
Gahee, who had paused momentarily upon hearing my words, shouted and glared at me. Tilting my head, I asked if there was something she wanted to know.
“Buying a mansion, how could you decide something like that on your own?”
“Deciding on our own? Isn’t it good to have a house?”
“No, we agreed I’d manage our funds. Buying a mansion wouldn’t be cheap… Shouldn’t you have at least told me?”
“Oh, really?”
I looked into Gahee’s eyes. I couldn’t read her thoughts since I hadn’t touched her, but I knew why she was saying this.
‘Trying to take control? And she doesn’t want to give up the authority she once had…’
But that was a promise made when our daily earnings weren’t that great. Now, our daily earnings were more than what we used to earn in half a month.
So there was no need to listen to what she was saying now. Especially since even they were indulging in more wasteful spending than they did back then…
“Then you can live here.”
“…What?”
“Why don’t you just make a living singing here like you used to? You have so many complaints when you haven’t earned a single penny on your own.”
“You, you…!!!!”
“Just in time. Weren’t you an idol trainee? They say to succeed in that field, you even have to offer yourself to sponsors, so if you—”
“Dojin.”
At Seoyoon’s call, my words came to a halt. And the moment I met her eyes, I realized what I had just said.
It seemed the stress had been building up. I mean, dealing with kids who didn’t earn a dime but were full of complaints was bound to create stress that wasn’t there before.
“Sorry. That was a slip of the tongue.”
I promptly admitted my mistake and apologized to Gahee. However, she just nodded with teary eyes, without saying anything further.
She must have guessed from my coercive attitude that she was neither an A nor a B, but merely a pawn.
She couldn’t possibly declare that she would leave us here. Her extravagance had increased day by day, recently to the point where it couldn’t be managed unless she really sold herself.
“So, are you coming along?”
“Of course, we have to, are you crazy?”
Deokgu decided to move without hesitation. After all, it didn’t need explaining that using one’s abilities for handling information was much better in a private mansion than in an inn where anyone could spy on you.
Then the Class President quietly nodded. Gahee did the same. The two people not present here wouldn’t foolishly refuse, so even if they did, by the principle of majority rule, their move was decided.
“Then let’s wait a little, the guild said they’ll send someone—”
“Mr. Dojin! Is Mr. Dojin here?!”
As the saying goes, ‘speak of the tiger and it appears,’ I grinned as I saw the messenger calling for me.
“Wow… Is this really our mansion?”
“Not rented, but bought?”
“Yeah.”
Shortly after, the kids who arrived at the mansion were left speechless by its grandeur. It was exactly like the mansions used by medieval European nobles they had seen online.
“Mr. Dojin, the tax and residence transfer process is all completed. If any issues arise, please come to the guild.”
“Oh, yes. Thank you.”
Pion said this, bowed, and disappeared from the mansion. The girls, who were staring blankly at her, approached and asked me.
“Who is that person?”
“A girlfriend?”
“A guild associate.”
“Impressive… Career woman? Is that the vibe I’m getting?”
“Do you think we can be like that too?”
“Why not? We can do it if we try!”
Leaving the two who were chattering excitedly, I went inside. A ceiling that was excessively high and the chandelier hanging from it greeted us.
It was a sight that could move someone, but as the homeowner, I felt no particular emotion.
‘Must be hard to clean.’
Not that I planned on cleaning it myself, but it was large enough to be quite troublesome. I wondered just how many people would need to be employed to clean and maintain a mansion like this.
‘It would be nice to have at least one or two live-in staff… someone who can cook well.’
I immediately called for Deokgu. Upon entering the mansion, rather than being impressed by its grandeur, Deokgu, like me, was concerned about the practical issues that would arise.
“This is… how do we clean it?”
“We’ll have to hire someone.”
“…A maid?”
“Maid or slave. Anyone.”
“The reason you’re telling me this is…”
“Deokgu, you feel lonely too, right? Choose a slave or maid that you like.”
Saying this, I handed him a pouch of money. It was an excessive amount for simply hiring a slave or maid, so it was easy to predict there would be no lack.
As I handed over the money, I made one request.
“Just make sure one of them can cook well. You don’t want to eat tasteless food, do you?”
“Yeah, got it. Leave it to me.”
He confidently spoke and gathered money before heading to the city. After entrusting him with hiring people, I approached Eunha, who was standing blankly outside.
“Where’s Seoyoon?”
“…She went to take a bath.”
“Already? It’s not even bedtime yet… Well, never mind. Eunha, let’s go.”
“Where to?”
“The training hall.”
“…Okay.”
Eunha followed me, toddling along. Despite heading for training, Eunha’s steps were incredibly light.
However, as I headed to a different place than my usual training hall, her head began to tilt in confusion.
“Dojin…? Where are we going?”
“The training hall.”
“But this isn’t the way there.”
“What? Do you think I’m going to eat you or something? Don’t worry.”
“Got it…”
I walked through the back alley with Eunha, who seemed slightly uneasy. It wasn’t long before we reached our destination. The place I brought Eunha to was a dojo recommended by Pion.
‘Even though it’s evening… well, we do train at night too.’
Sure enough, the dojo was open even at this late hour. As we entered, a person in training clothes sniffed the air and looked at us.
“What brings you here?”
“…We came on a recommendation. Isn’t this the dojo?”
“Ah, you’re prospective members. Come in.”
The woman, who had ears like a cat’s on her head, said that, and Eunha and I slowly stepped inside.
Inside, numerous people were undergoing grueling training.
“Do you have any training experience?”
“No, we don’t.”
“Are you complete beginners? Then the beginner’s course…”
“No, please put us in the conqueror’s course.”
“Are you an adventurer? Hmm, you don’t seem to have the build for it.”
She started alternating her gaze between me and Eunha. I was quickly glanced over, but in Eunha’s case, she was stared at intently for a long time.
Certainly, Eunha only appeared to be a delicate young girl at first glance, so I explained to save time.
“Don’t worry. We’re both leveled-up adventurers.”
“Oh, in that case, it’s a different story. May I test you?”
“Of course.”
“Then, go ahead.”
“…No, not me.”
I gently pushed Eunha forward.
“Just her.”
Both Eunha and the woman looked at me in surprise.
“Why aren’t you stepping forward?”
“I learned the sword.”
“Hmm, I see. Stand up.”
The master of the martial arts hall, Hoyeon, helped Eunha to her feet. Her movements were awkward, a sign she couldn’t completely control her strength.
‘Did she level up with a body like this?’
It was hard to believe. However, fists don’t lie, so it was something that could be verified in practice.
Hoyeon raised her fist and took a stance. It was a posture that seemed to build momentum like a tiger ready to pounce.
Seeing this, Eunha also assumed a stance. Her fist was awkwardly extended, a posture worse than doing nothing at all.
Just by looking at her stance, Hoyeon predicted her victory. It was only natural. Hoyeon, too, belonged to a combat clan that had experienced leveling up, so there was virtually no difference in physical abilities due to leveling up.
In fact, it was clear that she, being a beastman, would be superior.
‘She must have come to learn martial arts, so overpowering her with strength alone won’t do.’
Hoyeon gestured with her hand for her to come in first. Seeing this, Eunha nodded slightly and leaned forward.
What happened next was beyond her imagination.
The small girl’s body wavered. Hoyeon thought it was because she couldn’t control her own body.
It wasn’t. Thanks to leveling up, Eunha’s strength had become excessively powerful compared to her weight. So much so that if she pushed off the ground, she could almost float into the sky.
Therefore, she deliberately twisted her balance to propel her body forward. As Eunha pushed off the ground, she shot towards Hoyeon like a rocket.
Hoyeon was slightly surprised as she stared directly at the fiercely flying Eunha. She had heard she leveled up, but even considering that, her speed was too fast.
She pushed off the ground and turned her body sideways to evade the attack. A truly close escape, by the thickness of a sheet of paper.
The moment she thought she had dodged it, a kick followed. Though small, the power contained within it couldn’t be ignored.
Screech, Hoyeon, who was pushed back, exclaimed in admiration, praising her strength.
“Your strength is remarkable. Is it some kind of natural blessing?”
Eunha didn’t respond. She simply swung her fist. Powerful yet honest. Hoyeon smiled and deflected the punch.
Eunha, who flew with the principle of martial arts that one could never grasp by merely swinging fists recklessly, was driven into the ground.
Hoyeon thought it was over. It was obvious that not even attempting a breakfall and being driven into the ground would leave her unable to breathe properly.
However.
“Cough!”
A sudden pain stopped her breathing. It felt as if her back had been struck hard. While Hoyeon hesitated for a moment, Eunha’s short legs wrapped around her neck.
A perfect triangle choke locked in. It was inescapable. In the end, Hoyeon exhaled and flexed her muscles.
Hair grew all over her body, and her pupils changed like a beast’s. Beast transformation. Hoyeon, who tore the grip apart with force, looked down at Eunha as if impressed.
‘I want it…’
