Chapter 221: Mobius (5)
by Afuhfuihgs
“Wh-who are you people! Wh-what do you want?!”
We were currently holed up in a forest far from the village. After hiding ourselves inside a dilapidated cabin once used by a hunter, we restrained the mage’s arms and legs and gazed down at him. The mage, his face pale with fear, asked about our objective.
“I really didn’t want to resort to this method.”
“Right. If we use this, we’ll have to storm the Mage Tower within the week.”
Milia nodded at my words. The reason we hadn’t used this easy method was that the information obtainable from a single mage was extremely limited, and the moment an upper-level mage went missing, the entire Mage Tower would go on high alert. For a mage who frequented the upper levels of the Mage Tower, memory manipulation wouldn’t be easy, and clumsy brainwashing could lead them to develop suspicions and examine themselves, breaking free.
The mage, seemingly aware of this fact, spoke with a defiant expression.
“St-storm the Mage Tower? You, you bastards! What do you intend to do to me! I am Pepino, an upper-level mage of the Mage Tower! Do you think I’ll yield to your demands! Go ahead, torture me all you want! The Mage Tower will avenge me!”
I chuckled at his words and shook my head.
“What are you talking about? Why would we torture you? We’re not torturers; we’re specialists in pleasure.”
“Pl-pleasure?”
The mage’s eyes trembled violently as he scanned me and the other women around. Petunia Titi, leaning against the door, spoke.
“Don’t do anything too cruel. He’s not involved in this matter.”
The mage, his face flushed crimson, glanced at Petunia Titi as well before saying to me,
“W-will that woman also give me pleasure? I-I’d like her to do it!”
“Pfft!”
Milia, standing behind the man, snorted at his nonsense. Petunia’s face turned red, and she looked at me. I raised my fist and said,
“Hit him?”
“Just one hit……”
Upon receiving her permission, I lightly swung my fist. His cheek caved in, flesh tearing, and the man’s mouth filled with blood.
“Oof…!”
The mage slumped forward, then coughed and spat blood as he pushed himself up. I brushed my hands off and said,
“Neither you nor I wanted this, but what can we do? Our desires are different.”
“Ugh……!”
I rolled up my sleeves. Seeing me roll up my sleeves, the mage’s face grew increasingly fearful. Milia glanced back and forth between us, then whispered something in the mage’s ear. The mage frowned upon hearing it, but as I took another step closer, he began to convulse.
“Aaaaaargh! G-get away from me, you lunatic! Aaaargh! Aaaaaargh!”
“…..What? Why is he acting like this?”
“Huh? I told him Evan was an expert at handling men, and he’s reacting like this.”
That bitch. The mage was trembling uncontrollably, tears streaming down his face.
“P-please…! L-let it be a woman! Let me be tortured by a woman! I’ll tell you everything! Qu-quickly!”
“Oh my, then I’ll help. Just stay still, won’t you?”
Milia’s hand moved above the man’s head. Her fingers wrapped around the man’s head like a crown of thorns, and I reached towards his heart. The man, bound as he was, swallowed hard, anticipating the pleasure to come.
Catching Milia’s eye, we both exerted our strength simultaneously.
“Kiyoooooooook!”
The man shrieked like a rooster reaching his climax, rolling his eyes back and thrusting his hips wildly. I watched his robe flutter like a living creature, while Milia had to adjust her position slightly due to the man’s head thrashing about.
Petunia Titi watched our ‘work’ and quietly asked Taffy,
“I-is this how succubi normally operate?”
“….I don’t know.”
Taffy watched my process with a look of fascination.
“Haa, ahhhhh……! Ah…! Ahh…! I-I’m cumming……!”
After delving into his mind like that several times, delivering electrifying pleasure from his heart to his genitals, how many times had it been? His mind, melted by pleasure, was completely open, spilling out all the information he knew to us.
“Ugh…! The, the security room is on the 7th floor…! The blue door room in the center of the 7th floor…! There’s no guard…! There’s a p-password…! The place to enter the password… is…. Oooook…! If you pick up the device… that looks like a transmitter…! Ahhh……!”
He convulsed again, wetting his clothes, while Milia whispered in his ear, extracting information.
“Hey. So, what’s the password for the security room?”
“The p-password…! It was changed recently…! Mobius-nim told me to change it…! So the new name…! It’s unusually a person’s name…! Not just any person…! It’s… the one Mobius-nim cherishes the most….”
The mage’s explanation went on endlessly. Was explaining things his habit? Milia’s lips trembled slightly as she barely maintained a smile and said,
“….We get the explanation, can you just tell us the password?”
“Me, Merilda……!”
“Merilda?”
Hearing a woman’s name, I pressed the man again. The man ground his teeth but elaborated in detail.
“Yes…! M-Merilda, that… is Mobius-nim’s granddaughter’s name…!”
“He kidnapped someone else’s granddaughter even though he has one of his own?”
What kind of empathy-lacking revenge-seeker was he? As I asked with a puzzled tone, Petunia Titi shook her head with a bitter expression.
“Mobius’s granddaughter is dead.”
Milia and I both looked at Petunia. The man writhed and shouted.
“Ah, ahhh! Elf-nim! T-tell me more! Uwooot!”
With a gesture from me, Milia applied strong stimulation to the man’s head, causing him to fall asleep. Was he enjoying himself in a lewd dream? He lay there with his mouth open, smiling. I pulled up a half-broken chair, sat down, and looked at Petunia Titi, saying,
“Keep talking.”
Petunia Titi twirled her hair like a spring and said,
“After Mobius lost that debate, he became a recluse, but his granddaughter continued working at the Mage Tower. It seems Mobius’s granddaughter was working as a researcher on a theory Mobius opposed. But then, the power source for that research malfunctioned, causing an accident, and Mobius’s granddaughter got caught up in it and died.”
A mage who pushed forward a theory the victim opposed, and a granddaughter killed by that theory. However, the public was unaware of these specific details.
I said,
“So, being humiliated in a debate wasn’t the sole cause?”
“Mobius wasn’t that kind of person. Still, he was mature for his age.”
Revenge had nothing to do with maturity. Cruel revenge plots always began after reason flew out the window. Petunia tried to defend Mobius somehow, but she knew it was irreversible the moment he kidnapped an unrelated person.
Perhaps that’s why. Petunia let out a hollow laugh while explaining how courteous Mobius had been.
“So is he planning to kill Sylvia like his own granddaughter? Torturing Sylvia’s grandfather wasn’t enough anymore.”
It seemed his vengeful objective was narrowing down. But Petunia shook her head at my opinion and said,
“Mobius said he missed his granddaughter. He even said he wished he could turn back time. Isn’t it strange that someone who just wants to return to his granddaughter’s side would find satisfaction in revenge by killing someone else’s granddaughter?”
“So, is he going to turn back time and resurrect his granddaughter? Even Saint Alexander couldn’t do that.”
Mentioning Saint Alexander darkened Petunia’s face. However, I had no reason to apologize for mentioning the dead saint. Objectively speaking, Saint Alexander was a pathetic piece of trash. Using that piece of trash as an example for the holy and great work of resurrecting the dead was practically a compliment.
Milia said,
“That’s impossible even with magic. Resurrecting a person.”
“Maybe Mobius made some groundbreaking discovery that made it possible?”
“Was he really that smart and great a mage? I just get a bad feeling from the name Mobius. I don’t think he’d develop such incredible magic.”
Milia said, narrowing her brow. Her reaction was unusually emotional, and both Taffy and I couldn’t help but look surprised. Petunia also looked at Milia and asked,
“Do you have a grudge against Mobius?”
Milia heard Petunia’s question, laughed, and said,
“I forgot.”
