    Chapter 22: Lumia (10)

The next day. After finishing their sex, the group began cleaning up the inside of the mansion. The desecrated and tarnished inverted crosses were burned along with the trash, and the floor, stained with unholy traces, was scrubbed clean by the combined efforts of four people. Lumia used holy power to overlay the remaining traces.

Elena looked at her with apparent curiosity and asked, “You had sex with a demon, yet you can still use holy power? And you even drew that weird symbol on your lower stomach.”

Lumia was sweeping the floor with her holy power, extending it like a broom sweeping a yard. The black marks left by tentacles and the demon vanished cleanly with every sweep of her hand. She said to Elena, keeping her eyes focused on the floor, “Holy power and faith have no connection. It’s a matter of talent. Just like how I didn’t suddenly lose intelligence or have my limbs severed just because I followed a demon.”

“Then a priest who believes in demons must be incredibly dangerous, since people can hardly tell.”

“Yes. That’s why priests periodically undergo character education to prevent corruption, and even priests without holy power are taught how to deal with demons.”

“But, like, um… does your body feel weird or anything when you use holy power?”

Lumia paused for a moment at Elena’s words and then lifted her head. When Lumia stared at her with an expressionless gaze, Elena flinched and quickly looked away. After acting like a slut all night, she had snapped back into her usual priestess persona the moment she regained her senses.

Elena couldn’t tell if Lumia had genuinely undergone a change of heart or was just pretending. Lumia stared intently at Elena, then scratched her head, her face flushing red.

“Ah, um… This is just between us, but……”

Elena froze when Lumia started speaking in such an unexpectedly shy tone. She wasn’t used to Lumia talking to her with that kind of expression. So she replied awkwardly, “Huh? Yeah?”

“Honestly, using holy power after receiving the demon’s brand feels… deliciously sinful. It makes me feel so good, I wonder why I didn’t do this sooner.”

    “……Oh. Right.”

She really seemed to have lost it. Hearing such strange things from a perfectly composed face, Elena thought Lumia was more demonic than Evan.

“Lumia. Is the cleaning inside finished?”

Evan appeared as the door opened and asked. His face and body were covered in soot because he had dug a pit in the backyard of the mansion and burned the junk. Lumia quickly turned her head back, pretending nothing was amiss, and focused on cleaning, while Elena stood there awkwardly.

    “What? Still not done?”

“It should be finished soon. How about you, Evan-nim?”

“I cleared out all the crosses and stuff outside. What else needs doing?”

“Ah, then please stay here for a moment.”

    “Here?”

Lumia shot holy power from one hand while pointing to the spot next to her. As Evan hesitantly stood beside her with a baffled expression, Lumia linked arms with him and continued cleaning. Elena let out a soft chuckle of disbelief, and Lumia’s ears turned bright red upon hearing it.

Evan also wrapped an arm around Lumia’s waist and said, “Do you like me that much?”

“Evan-nim is my religion, my love. From the moment you held me here that day, my destiny changed. Honestly, it’s such a shame I have to erase the traces of this love.”

“But you still have to erase this to prove the exorcism was successful, right?”

“Yes. That’s right. There shouldn’t be any unholy traces left where the exorcism took place.”

“How about me now? Can you smell any demonic scent?”

Evan asked, spreading his arms towards her. That day, while having sex with Lumia, the demon had also taught Evan how to conceal his demonic aura. Evan had trained diligently, hoping it would allow him to walk the streets without priests noticing, but neither Isabel nor Elena could sense any difference.

Lumia looked intently at Evan, then grinned and said, “You seem just like a human. And, you’re still handsome.”

“Alright. Good. Tell me when the cleaning is done. I’ll be outside cleaning up the burnt ashes.”

    “Understood.”

Evan playfully slapped Lumia’s butt and went back outside. Lumia’s eyes widened in surprise, blinking rapidly, before she covered her flushed face and resumed cleaning. Elena headed towards the kitchen and asked, “What do you want to drink?”

Lumia, her face still red, darted her eyes around before cautiously asking, “By any chance, Evan-nim, what kind of cup do you use?”

Elena couldn’t get used to Lumia acting like this. “…..We don’t have special cups or anything. Only Madam has her own cup; Evan and I just picked whichever we felt like using.”

    “Ah……”

Lumia clicked her tongue regretfully. Elena shook her head and said, “Ah, hurry up and finish cleaning now!”

    “Finally. The demon is dead.”

Having cleaned up all traces in the mansion, Evan and his group stood before Carlson’s corpse. Lumia said this with a stoic expression, looking at Carlson’s emaciated corpse. Squeezed dry by the demon, Carlson’s body was shockingly gaunt, pale, and stiff, enough to surprise anyone who knew him in life.

Lumia continued, “Now, if Evan-nim injects Carlson’s corpse with demonic energy, the job will be complete. The story will be that Carlson, after being drained by the demon, went berserk, was subdued and killed, and the demon controlling him was exorcised by me through a simple ritual.”

“Neat. Shall I inject it then?”

    “Yes.”

Evan rolled up his sleeves in front of Isabel and Elena. Black smoke enveloped his fair forearms, and demonic energy shot towards Carlson’s corpse. The emaciated corpse trembled violently, a foul aura began to seep out, and the surrounding grass started to wither.

Lumia watched this process with an indifferent expression.

The corpse, thoroughly infused with demonic energy, grew horns on its head and gained some muscle mass. Evan stepped back, sweating profusely. He thought it would be simple, but the energy expenditure was no joke. Carlson’s corpse had transformed into something barely recognizable as Carlson. You could only recognize him as Carlson if you examined his face closely.

    “Wow, this is seriously exhausting.”

“It’s because each demon has its specialty. If Evan-nim had a talent for transforming demons with demonic energy, it would have been much easier.”

Lumia shot holy power into the chest of Carlson’s corpse, creating a small hole, and said, “Demonic energy transforms the human body. This applies even after death, and it’s impossible to distinguish whether the body was transformed by demonic energy after death, or if a body transformed by demonic energy was killed.”

    “Why didn’t I change?”

Lumia answered Evan’s question again. “If one originally has Incubus or Succubus blood mixed in, they often retain a human appearance.”

“That’s a relief. I was worried my true form might be something like this.”

Carlson’s appearance, with goat-like horns sprouting from his head and his face jutting forward, was the very picture of a demon from a fairy tale. Both Isabel and Elena shook their heads with uneasy expressions.

Lumia said, “Now, it’s my turn to summon priests from the temple and have them confirm Carlson’s transformed demonic appearance. Testimonies from other priests will be far more credible than my word alone. To serve as a warning against demons, Carlson’s demonically corrupted corpse will be placed under protective measures and displayed in the town square before being cremated after a sufficient period.”

Saying this, Lumia drew a circle in the air. A circle emitting holy light formed around Carlson’s corpse. Evan scowled and turned his head away the moment he saw the circle.

Lumia said to Evan, “Evan-nim, you must endure this much. If you turn your head away every time a priest brings out holy objects or uses some power, I won’t be able to hide it for you.”

    “Alright. I get it.”

Evan said this and turned his head back. No matter how many times he saw it, that holy circle just didn’t sit right with him. It gave him a dizzying sensation, like looking at a swinging pendulum while riding waves on a ship.

    “It’s done.”

Lumia brushed off her hands. Carlson’s corpse was undeniably a demon. Evan and his group decided to believe from now on that Carlson really was a demon. After all, Carlson’s life had been nothing short of demonic.

Elena, without prompting, began speaking with a sorrowful expression, “I never knew my master was a demon. I just thought he was a piece of trash.”

Isabel chuckled at Elena’s joke and nodded. Lumia walked past the two laughing women and knelt before Evan. Evan stroked her head.

    “Yeah. You worked hard.”

“Thank you. Well then, I’ll be going to the temple for a moment.”

Lumia pulled down Evan’s pants. Evan readily obliged, lowering them further. His firmly erect penis emerged before Lumia. Lumia grinned and kissed Evan’s cock.

    “I love you, Master.”

Evan kissed Lumia’s forehead and thought, Now, all that’s left is to live happily ever after.
