    Chapter 19: Sia Caltro

Early in the morning, before the temple bells rang, five figures began to move.

    “Have you packed everything?”

At Seraphina’s question, Chloe, with her impressive white fur and neat short hair, perked up her cat ears.

She moved without a sound in her light attire.

“Yes! I only picked out the essentials. But…”

Everyone’s eyes turned to Ronflow’s room.

He was wearing gorgeous elven traditional attire, his green long hair fluttering as he moved busily around the room.

“This is a 300-year-old harp… This is a 450-year-old magic book,” Ronflow muttered.

“Ah, and the legend written on this parchment…”

    “Now, the real story…”

    “Shut up.”

    Gain opened Ronflow’s room.

“Oh! Wait a minute! This ancient elven secret book…”

    Gain held Ronflow’s bag expressionlessly.

Then he took out the harp and threw it to the elf.

    “Just take this.”

    “No! This is my soul…”

    Ronflow screamed.

    “But you know.”

    Chloe moved her ears.

    “Morning…”

    “Here.”

Seraphina handed her a small pouch.

    “I prepared it in advance.”

    “As expected of the saintess!”

Chloe’s white tail wagged with joy.

Beatrice stood at the entrance to the temple and looked up at the eastern sky.

Her silver armor gleamed in the dawn light, and her long blond hair fluttered in the wind.

Next to her stood Gain, with short brown hair, in silence.

His light armor was covered with dew.

Beyond the distant horizon, the faint silhouette of the Sia Kalt Mountains could be seen.

The eternal snow sparkling in the morning sunlight was mysterious, but the distance was far away.

    “Bea.”

    Seraphina approached.

Her pink hair, clad in a pure white nun’s habit, fluttered in the morning breeze.

    “A final prayer to Michel…”

    “Understood.”

The two knelt together before the altar.

    “Prayer ends here.”

    Beatrice stood up.

“Let’s go. I’m worried about Geomun.”

Sunlight filtered through the temple’s stained glass, creating a rainbow of light.

The city was just beginning to wake up.

Merchants who had come out to see the dawn market spotted the group and murmured.

“Hey, the saintess and the silver warrior…”

“Sia Calt? That snowy mountain where no one goes…”

“They say there’s been no news since the last merchant disappeared ten years ago…”

    “Hurry up.”

    Chloe covered her ears.

    “Before the crowd gathers…”

    “This way…”

    Ronflow picked up her harp.

“Two hundred years ago, the great bard Delphinius…”

    “Shut up.”

    “But Gain! This noble story…”

Ronflow closed her mouth at Gain’s cold gaze.

    “Ah…”

    Chloe giggled.

“I know now. When Gain says ‘be quiet,’ it becomes quiet within 3 seconds, and when Bea calls your name, it becomes quiet within 5 seconds…”

    “Chloe.”

    Beatrice turned her head.

    “Yes…”

    Chloe’s ears folded.

The group moved their steps through the dawn air.

The morning sunlight poured down behind them as they left the capital of the Heshet Empire.

“It’s already been a week,” Chloe said while taking a rest.

It was the time they had traveled nonstop from the Heshet Empire to the border of the Genes Kingdom.

“I have a question. How did you and the saint first meet? I don’t know since I joined three years ago.”

Gain’s eyes slightly raised, and Ronflow also stopped playing the harp and showed interest.

It was a story that neither of them knew, having spent a long time with Beatrice.

Seraphina looked at Beatrice for a moment and then opened her mouth.

“It was when I was a trainee in the Knights of the Heshet Empire.

Even though Bea was the daughter of a baron, she started by cleaning the barracks like the other trainees.

I was born a commoner, but we both trained diligently.”

“I guess that’s why we became closer?”

“Yes. Bea was the only friend I could talk to comfortably.

But… I suddenly received the protection of Master Michel.

I had to become a saint and leave without any preparation.”

Beatrice got up from her seat.

“It’s okay. It’s because of you that I ended up like this.”

“So Beatrice also became a knight…” Chloe asked.

“Training became boring. I just left and became an adventurer.

Then I found the holy sword.”

“Oh! This is destiny…” Ronflow picked up the harp.

    “It’s noisy.”

Gain absentmindedly spat out and unfolded the map.

“Next, we have to cross Seolhanryeong.”

“Isn’t that where ice golems appear the most?”

    Ronflow stroked the harp.

    “With my song…”

At that moment, the cries of a monster were heard in the forest.

    Gain’s spear moved first.

It pierced the monster on the tree in a flash-like trajectory.

    Ronflow’s harp sounded quietly.

The group’s movements became much lighter.

Chloe disappeared into the shadows and appeared behind another monster in an instant.

    “Haat!”

    Beatrice’s silver sword flashed.

The monster’s arm flew through the air.

Gain’s spear cleanly dealt with the last one.

“Oh! This glorious victory, let’s sing…”

    “Noisy.”

Ronflow kept his mouth shut, but his fingers were still strumming the harp strings.

Only when Gain sent him a sharp gaze did he stop completely.

    “Ah! There’s Dblanc…”

Everyone turned their heads at Chloe’s words.

In the distance, Dblanc, the first city of the Kingdom of Genes, was coming into view.

    “Finally!”

Ronflow raised his voice in excitement.

“The great city of Dblanc! Now, our…”

    “Ronflow.”

Beatrice and Gain said at the same time.

“Go in normally. Without making a fuss.”

As they approached the city gate, the guards spotted the group.

At first, they looked like a group of ordinary adventurers, but when Beatrice’s silver armor and holy sword sparkled in the sunlight, their expressions changed in an instant.

    “Silver… Silver Warrior!?”

    “The saintess over there…”

    People gathered in an instant.

    “Why are you here…”

    “You’re going to Sia Calt…?”

    “You say it’s a revelation from Michel…”

Seraphina replied with a warm smile.

“Yes, it’s the way to Sia Calt by Michel’s revelation.”

    There was no further explanation.

    “This way.”

The guildmaster of Dblanc appeared and guided the party.

He personally opened the way to the inn called ‘Moonlight Rest!’

    “Saint, Silver Warrior…”

The innkeeper bowed his head deeply.

“I have prepared the best suite for you. I will provide it to you free of charge.”

    Gain looked at Beatrice expressionlessly.

His gaze seemed to say, ‘As expected.’

Even as they were guided to the room, the gazes in the inn followed the party.

However, everyone soon turned their heads at Gain’s cold gaze.

    “Now.”

    Beatrice unfolded the map.

“Let’s decide the route tomorrow. To Seolhanryeong…”

    “Oh! Seolhanryeong!”

    Ronflow jumped up.

“The new epic we will write in that rugged snowy mountain! This is…”

    “Ronflow!”

Everyone shouted at the same time.

    Seraphina couldn’t hide her smile.

Even after five years, they were still the same.

“Riko, how about giving this child a name?”

    “Huh? A name?”

That’s right. He’s the child I’ll be raising from now on, so I should give him a name.

Hmm… Something that matches his characteristics…

    “How about a hot pack?”

“Hot pack…? What does that mean?”

    “Something that warms you up!”

The sound is cute, and his characteristics fit perfectly!

Could anything be more perfect than this!

“Hmm… The meaning is good, but isn’t it too hard to pronounce?”

“Oh really? Is it a foreign language that’s hard for people from another world to pronounce? No, but this is English? Hmm…”

“How did you name me, Master?”

“Licorice? It came to mind as soon as I saw it.”

    Oh… I thought of Hot Pack…

“Oh right. I kept calling you Rico, but Licorice is your name.”

    Master smiled brightly and said.

Ugh! Heart, don’t act like that!

Don’t tell me there’s no such thing!

    I can definitely feel it!

I knew the full name thanks to the status window, but hearing it directly from the master felt strangely good.

Should I give myself a name that I can call by a nickname?

    Hmm…….

“Cecilia! What do you think? A nickname like Cecil or Leah!”

“Oh my, it’s so pretty. It sounds like the name of a flower.”

    “Yes!”

“I named it after the most beautiful flower. A flower that is both elegant and warm!”

At that moment, the owner’s eyes became warm.

    Good!

“She’s already shining like a ruby, isn’t she?”

“It’s a shining and pretty name because she’s my daughter!”

Looking at the red light swaying inside the chrysalis, I felt strangely pleased.

“Huh? But was this a girl?”

    “Huh?”

That’s right? Why did I naturally think she was a girl?

Was it because of the faint but remaining memory of being a man that I wanted a daughter?

It’s natural for a man to want to be a fool for a daughter, right?

“Did you know I was a girl, Master?”

“Yeah. Anyone can tell I was a girl.”

    “What! Is that so!?”

    Even though I’m a flower!?

    “How…?”

The Master’s eyes sparkled, and he slightly reached out his hand.

His delicate hand was gradually becoming my weak point…

    “Huh!”

    “Look.”

The Master said with a small smile.

Eh. You must have named me before you rubbed me…?

Oh, I don’t know. Is this a boy?

“Then he seems like a boy…?”

“Um… That’s not it. I have no idea.”

Phew… Then just call me a girl!

“Then I’ll just call you Cecilia!”

    “Hehe… Okay, go ahead.”

I vigorously named my daughter Cecilia and looked at the pupa.

    【Cecilia】 Blaze Chrysalis LV10

    “Oooh!”

The status window was updated incredibly fast.

After naming her, I already felt affection welling up.

    ‘Please grow up warmly.’
