Chapter 19: In Games, It Seems Like Women Are Better
by fnovelpia
“Oh… Does everyone get, like, three votes each or something?”
Otherwise, there’s no way such a ridiculous voting rate could happen.
[+HurryAndLeave: What’s with this voting rate, lmao?]
[Isn’t it normal for everyone to have three votes each?]
[Pepe: Honestly, having just one vote does feel a bit stingy.]
[If you’re an avatar with multiple bodies, big thumbs up, hahaha!]
[Big thumbs up incoming!]
[Reore fans… how could they actually vote for Reore again?]
The voting results showed an overwhelming majority in favor of Reore.
It seemed like the game’s immense popularity swayed the crowd.
After all, Reore was known for having a high floor for fun and excitement.
“Alright, I’ll play Reore. It got the most votes.”
I was a bit hesitant since Reore had a way of making people hyper-competitive and overly intense, but a vote was a vote.
That being said.
“I thought no one was interested in Reore since no one usually mentions it.”
[+HurryAndLeave: This is a rigged election, lol!]
[It’s a rigged election (says the one who opened the portal first).]
[As expected, shamelessness is a manager’s core skill, haha.]
[Reore is fun, though.]
[Other games are fine too, but personally, Reore is just more entertaining.]
Looking at the chat, it was clear that a certain viewer had posted the stream link in a community forum, rallying people to vote.
No wonder the voting rate was so absurd—it had a whole backstory.
“Well, I don’t mind if you post the link, but contesting the results is a bit much.”
[+HurryAndLeave: speechless]
[If you were more likable, even with the link drop, everyone would’ve voted for the art stream, lol.]
[You’ve definitely stacked up a lot of likability debt, haha.]
[Pepe: Honestly, I’m kinda tired of Reore now…]
[“You’re tired of Reore already when we haven’t even played a single match, you piece of sh—, lol.”]
[“I swear, I feel like punching someone right now.”]
The viewers suddenly started arguing.
“Alright, everyone, calm down. Don’t fight. We’re playing Reore today, but there’s always tomorrow’s stream too, so keep that in mind.”
After all, it wasn’t like this was the only chance.
I didn’t do a wide variety of content anyway, and my usual lineup was already set.
[+HurryAndLeave: True, haha.]
[“Let’s all just be patient for a bit.”]
[“This stream goes live pretty often, after all.”]
[Pepe: So, which lane are you playing in Reore?]
Lane, huh.
In Reore, there are five positions, each with its own specific role.
What’s more, depending on the champion you pick, the role could even change.
That made choosing your lane one of the most important decisions in the game.
“Honestly, I’m confident in every lane. If you watched my stream the last time I played Reore, you’d know—I’m Diamond.”
It was just a plain fact.
I was Diamond rank.
Though technically, I was one of those players who had dropped from Master rank simply because I hadn’t been playing ranked games.
[+HurryAndLeave: Ah… Noted.]
[“But honestly, you played pretty well last time.”]
[“Yeah, honestly, Yottt plays really well.”]
[“Just stomp them completely, lol.”]
[Pepe: Let’s hold a vote for the lane!]
“Should we?”
Letting the viewers vote on the lane sounded fun.
While it was satisfying to carry a game in a lane I was good at, playing an unfamiliar lane could bring a fresh twist to the stream.
“Alright, let’s open up a poll.”
Taking suggestions from the viewers, I set up a lane vote.
[Poll Open]
- Top
- Jungle
- Mid
- ADC
- Support
After opening the poll, I leaned back in my chair and checked the viewer count.
[Viewer Count: 165]
Flash!
[Viewer Count: 241]
Flash!
[Viewer Count: 381]
Flash!
[Viewer Count: 168]
“…200 viewers suddenly appeared and disappeared just like that.”
I found it fascinating that so many people could vanish in the span of ten seconds.
With that thought, I turned my attention to the poll results.
[Poll Complete]
- Top: 13%
- Jungle: 3%
- Mid: 46%
- ADC: 28%
- Support: 10%
“Q…”
The results were far different from what I had anticipated.
“Well, I’ll play Mid as the votes decided.”
[“Now this is the right choice!”]
[“If you want to see a carry performance, Mid is the way to go.”]
[“Lol, these guys have never even watched Yottt play Reore.”]
[+HurryAndLeave: Just get started already, geez.]
[Pepe: The manager’s throwing a tantrum, lol.]
[“Smh, what a thin-skinned crybaby.”]
After selecting Mid, I immediately queued up for a game.
“Well, it’s been a while since I last played Reore, so I might need some time to get back into the groove at first.”
This was simply a matter of fact.
If I played Reore frequently, it’d be a different story, but I wasn’t someone who played it regularly.
[+HurryAndLeave: What’s with the excuses already? Hmm…]
[“Excuses are a bit much.”]
[“But, to be fair, they said the same thing before an FPS game and absolutely crushed it, haha.”]
[Pepe: FPS and AOS games are worlds apart, though, lol.]
Shortly after, a ding!
A match was found.
“Phew, let’s see what kind of teammates I’ll get today…”
I was genuinely curious.
Finding normal players in Reore was notoriously difficult.
If there were more than three sane people in one match, it would be a miracle.
[+HurryAndLeave: The most nerve-wracking moment in Reore is right now, lol.]
[“Please match with trolls, please match with trolls, please match with trolls…”]
—Temporarily removed from chat!
[“Why are you wishing for trolls in Yottt’s game?”]
[Pepe: To be fair, Reore is a bit of a hellhole at this hour.]
One thing I’d learned from my time playing Reore was this:
There’s no such thing as a normal person who spams chat.
Especially people typing about things unrelated to the game—like right now.
[“Hey, did you all see the new movie?”]
[“There’s a movie with Shin Gyuri in it, and it’s amazing, lol.”]
“…What exactly am I supposed to do with this information?”
While it seemed like something they should talk about in real life, I couldn’t help but wonder if they were bringing it up in Reore because they didn’t have friends to discuss it with outside the game.
So, I decided to respond.
[Choi Jijae: Oh, yeah, got it.]
[Choi Jijae: Haven’t seen it yet, but I’ll check it out sometime.]
[+HurryAndLeave: Wait, you actually answered that, lol?]
[“Seriously, you answered that?”]
[“To be fair, people who chat a lot before the game starts are always idiots. It’s scientifically proven, haha.”]
[Pepe: The sad part is, if you don’t respond, they’ll get upset and throw the match on purpose…]
As I continued to engage with the chat, I started the game in earnest.
[Title: Mid Secured!! ]
[Content: Cut those who wanted to send me to the trash ADC lane, lol.]
L: ADC is a core carry lane; why call it trash? If you’re going to throw shade, do it properly, lol.
N: Ah… Got it!
N: Spoonman, stop writing long posts. It’s embarrassing.
N: Even as a “prince lane,” that’s a bit much, smh.

[Title: Yottt Instantly Queues for Mid ]
[Content: (CLIP) Now this is what I’m talking about, lol.]
L: Hell yeah, this is it! lol.
L: If this were any other smurf, they’d spend two hours in a café before even starting the game, lmao.
N: Wait, are you calling out Lusha for being 2.5 hours late to collabs because they didn’t know how to patch GTA?
N: Hey, hey, hey, let’s not go there.
N: But honestly, 2.5 hours is a bit much for anyone, lol.
[Author: Pepe]
[Title: Is Yottt’s Team Even Real?]
[Content: (Image) Someone who appears to be a man is replying to every single message—even sharing stories about their stomach issues, lmao.]
L: Yottt not blocking them is even more impressive, lol.
L: Also, why is their name Yottt? Is it official?
N (Pepe): Nah, it’s just a nickname.
N: It’s from their Twis username, something about yogurt—so, Yottt.
[Title: Real-Time Yottt Legendary Moment Happening, lolololol]
[Content: (CLIP) They kept replying, then stopped when they got tired, and now the guy is getting all salty, lmao.]
N: Is that guy’s mental age really elementary school level?
N: Don’t compare them to my nephew; my nephew’s way better than that, you idiot.
N: Are elementary school kids a joke to you?
N: I once lost an arm-wrestling match to an elementary schooler. Those kids are crazy strong.
N: Is this Fiddlesticks behavior?
N: Nah, more like a chopstick—nothing but sticks, lol.

[Title: Finally Blocked Them and Focused on the Game, LOL]
[Content: (CLIP) Now this is what I’m talking about, haha.]
“Have you ever seen Yottt curse in a clip? Do they just not swear?”
L: But…
N: HurryAndLeave: Dunno.
N: Wouldn’t they curse if they really wanted to?
L: Yeah, sounds about right, lol.
L: But what if those kinds of players sulk and throw the game when ignored? What do you do then?
N: Well, that’s just their loss, I guess.
[Title: Real-Time Yottt Ignoring Everything and Going Full Carry Mode, LOL]
[Content: (CLIP) Honestly, I didn’t expect them to be this good, lmao.]
L: Damn, they’re insanely good…
N: Textbook Mid gameplay—winning lane and spreading influence everywhere.
L: Now this is what I’m talking about!
L: Queue up the next game right away, LOL!
[Author: Pepe]
[Title: Huh…? Is That a Familiar Name on My Team?]
[Content: (Image) Could it be…?]
L: Wait, is this real?
N: Nah, probably not.
L: But the tier range matches, so it might be.
L: Is it really Lusha???
N: Something about it feels like it could be.
[Title: It Is! LOL]
[Content: (Image) Lusha entered the lobby, hahaha.]
L: Now this is it, lol!
L: It’s already so much fun, omg.
L: Let’s goooo!
L: But Lusha isn’t streaming while playing, huh?
N: They do that a lot, honestly.
