Chapter 183: My belly is all Swollen
by fnovelpia
Seeing the goddess’s furious expression, a sudden thought crossed my mind.
What if the beings we call gods are actually no different from us—just another form of life?
Maybe they simply sit on high thrones, but think and feel just like we do.
Otherwise, there was no way to explain this situation. A god, revealing such raw emotions while speaking to a lowly human like me?
And the emotion she was showing me now… no matter how I looked at it, it seemed like jealousy.
“Are you thinking about someone else right now, instead of me?”
The goddess’s bare feet brushed against the floor as she approached. Her cold, sunken eyes bore into me.
“Go-Goddess … I didn’t offer my prayers because, well… I had my reasons…”
“It’s because of that woman, isn’t it? Am I wrong?”
Her gaze shifted toward Mardiann.
“I-I’ve done a lot of wrong by her… so…”
“So you ignored me for a whole month and devoted yourself to her instead?”
“…That’s not…”
“I distinctly remember commanding you to offer a prayer once a day.”
At this point, I was certain.
The emotion the goddess was showing me was definitely jealousy.
Why a being like a goddess would feel jealous over someone like me, I had no idea.
“Do you know how outrageous it is? I broke our pact and descended to the mortal world myself. If the angels find out, it’ll be a complete disaster.”
The pillar of light tightened around me. I felt like I couldn’t breathe.
One thing was clear: the goddess, just like us, was a being with emotions.
If that’s the case…
Maybe, just maybe, I could find a way to calm her down?
“A child who doesn’t listen must be punished, right?”
At her words, my body instinctively shrank.
I bowed my head deeply and clenched my trembling hands.
One of the strongest weapons I had.
Although, whether it would work on a goddess was another matter.
Still, I had to try whatever I could.
Drip—
“I-I’m sorry… Goddess …”
A clear tear slid down my cheek.
The goddess’s pale eyes wavered at the sight of my tear falling so suddenly, so without context.
“…Huh? Are you crying?”
It seemed to be working.
“I was wrong… I’m so sorry… hic…”
I kept my head low, crying and hiccupping pitifully.
A subtle flicker of confusion crossed the goddess’s face at my unexpected reaction.
“Ah, no… You don’t have to cry like that. Calm down.”
Her voice was much softer than before. At the same time, the pillar of light that had been binding me started to loosen.
“I… I’ll take the punishment… It was my fault… Even if it costs me my insignificant life—”
“Life, you say! And besides, your life is not insignificant!”
The goddess exclaimed in surprise, placing her hand on my shoulder.
Though her hand held no warmth, the pure white light radiating from her fingertips carried a gentle heat.
“…I’m sorry, for someone like me to dare upset you, Goddess…”
“I’m… I’m not that angry. It’s just…”
The goddess hesitated, then lightly bit her lip.
“I came down for a moment because the child who used to pray so diligently hadn’t let me hear their voice for an entire month. But then… I found you alone in the mansion with some woman I’d never seen before—”
Her voice trailed off, and her eyebrows twitched slightly.
Flustered, the goddess hurried to continue speaking.
Judging by how flustered she looked, it seemed my tearful act had worked perfectly.
But… did she watch the time I spent alone with Mardian?
…Surely she didn’t see everything, right?
An uneasy feeling started creeping up, but I forced myself to stay composed and squeezed out another tear.
“I’ll accept any punishment…”
“Enough. It seems you understand how I feel, so I don’t think punishment is necessary.”
Her eyes, which had grown cold and stern, now softened again, filled with warmth.
The goddess slowly withdrew the pillar of light and gently patted my head.
“Please let me hear your voice more often. Your prayers are my delight.”
“…My prayers are?”
All I ever did was ramble about my daily life. I couldn’t understand how that could possibly bring joy to a goddess.
“There are very few who pray so purely, without asking for anything in return, like you do.”
It was true — I didn’t really ask for anything.
I prayed simply because it made me happy to offer prayers to the goddess. If I had any wish at all, maybe it was just the hope of becoming her true follower someday.
“Even if it’s just for a short while, would you let me hear your voice? If that’s too uncomfortable…”
The goddess pointed to Mardian and added,
“Then I will issue a divine oracle, commanding a shrine to be built inside that woman’s mansion.”
A shrine in a private residence — that was unprecedented in the empire’s history. And Mardian, of all people, was a strict atheist.
“A-ah, no! I’ll be sure to pray starting today!”
“…Good.”
Surprisingly, the goddess forgave me quite easily.
I cautiously studied her expression. She no longer seemed upset with me.
Alright, now it’s my turn.
“More importantly, Goddess!”
I grabbed her hand tightly, my eyes sparkling.
“Uh!”
My fingertips flinched slightly. But I didn’t stop.
“Have you descended to the mortal world? Is this your true form, Goddess? Were you really able to come down like this?”
Once the questions started pouring out, they wouldn’t stop.
The Goddess looked momentarily flustered by the barrage of questions, but soon regained her usual graceful expression.
“I can change my form as much as I like, but this is the most comfortable for me.”
“You’re truly beautiful! I’ve never seen such a dazzling sight.”
“T-Thank you.”
It wasn’t just flattery. She looked like a work of art — utterly unreal.
“And normally, I’m not supposed to descend to the mortal world without good reason. My role is simply to watch over it.”
“Oh, I see…”
“Yes. I must return before the beings of the Abyss notice me.”
It felt as if a whole different world I couldn’t comprehend was unfolding around the Goddess. It made sense, given she was a being beyond human understanding.
“Then… do you have to leave now?”
“That’s right.”
Even though I had the chance to meet her up close like this, we would soon part ways.
Regret welled up inside me, but I swallowed it down, not wanting to trouble the Goddess with my feelings.
‘Still… I want to do something for her…’
After all, hadn’t she broken the rules and descended because of emotions stirred by me?
“Before you go, Goddess… is there anything I can do for you?”
Hesitantly, I reached out and gently grasped the edge of her sleeve.
“You came down here because of me… I want to offer my apology somehow.”
“It’s fine. Instead, promise to speak to me often from now on.”
The Goddess smiled gently, but my heart still felt unsettled.
“Even so… I still want to be of help to you…”
But what could someone like me possibly do for a goddess?
In the end, my voice, lacking in confidence, simply scattered into the air.
“……”
The Goddess didn’t answer right away.
When I carefully lifted my head, I found her gazing down at me with a somewhat wistful look.
“Hmm, hmm. If you insist that much… I suppose there’s no helping it.”
A pillar of light grew from her fingertips and slowly extended toward me.
The tip was rounded and soft, almost like a finger. The light tapped gently, softly, on my lips.
“Receiving the devotion of a beloved follower… might not be so bad.”
The pillar of light gently brushed against my lips.
It was a sensation I wasn’t unfamiliar with.
Having already experienced it twice, I knew what I was supposed to do.
I wondered if something like this could truly satisfy the Goddess…
Quietly, I tucked my hair behind my ear and slowly parted my lips.
Tzzup—
A beam of light slips through the slightly parted lips.
As it touches the tip of my tongue, a gentle warmth spreads before any distinct flavor. It feels as if warm sunlight is enveloping the tip of my tongue.
“Mmm…”
Worried that the goddess might be in pain, I cover her teeth with my lips.
I press my lips around her shaft, working my tongue diligently over it.
“…Nh.”
The goddess’s expression darkens slightly.
Soon, her hand moves, and the beam of light follows.
Tzzup— Tzzup—
The shaft begins to move inside my mouth.
Occasionally, it pushes deep enough to brush against my uvula, but I suppress the urge to gag.
Instead, I lean forward to let the goddess’s shaft enter even deeper, making it easier for her.
“Haah… There’s no pleasure like this in the heavens…”
A faint blush spreads across the goddess’s face.
Somehow, she looks almost euphoric.
“Mmm… Nn… P-Please, goddess… let go…”
Doing my best to serve her, I glance up with slightly lidded eyes.
Was my expression strange? For just a moment, the goddess’s gaze seemed almost sinister.
“…Child, have you eaten?”
The sudden question leaves me dazed.
I never expected such words in this situation.
With my mouth still full of her shaft, I try to answer as clearly as possible.
“Ah, I… ate breakfast…”
“It’s about time for a meal by human standards.”
What does she mean? Is she suggesting we eat together?
Just as I tilt my head in confusion, the goddess adds softly:
“Would you mind if I gave you something… good for your body?”
The beam of light plunges deeper, lightly spreading my throat.
“—Ghk!”
For a moment, my breath catches, but I force myself not to show it.
“I wish to bestow my blessing upon you.”
At her words, I look up at her again.
Though unexpected, I simply want to indulge her, so I nod slightly.
“I-I love anything from you, goddess…”
“…….”
Before long, I understand her meaning.
The beam of light suddenly expands, stretching my throat even wider.
And then—Splurt—
“Ghlk?!!?”
Something scorching pours down my throat, flooding into my body.
“Mmgh…! Ggh…! Nghk…!”
“It’s pure energy,”
She said.
“It will make your body even healthier.”
Squeezing my eyes shut, I accepted the hot, pouring substance with my whole body.
Gulp—gulp—
It flowed endlessly, filling my frail belly to the point where it even started to swell a little.
Finally, with a soft pop, the pillar slipped out from my mouth.
I clenched my mouth shut, forcing the goddess’s blessing that was about to surge back up, down into my throat.
Gulp—
Swallowing one last time, I managed to take in all of the goddess’s gift.
The goddess silently looked down at me as I gasped for breath for a long while.
As my body gradually calmed down, I began to feel lighter, just like she had said.
Was it really a blessing?
I felt happy.
Even though I had surely angered the goddess, she still granted me this gift.
Would it be rude to offer thanks for her holy Goddess?
I brought my hands together neatly, looked up at her with a small smile, and said:
“Th-thanks to your blessing, Goddess, my belly is all swollen…”
“…”
“Really… thank you so much…”
But then—why?
As soon as I finished speaking, the goddess’s expression changed subtly.
She almost looked… a little annoyed.
Did I say something rude without realizing it?
Puff—
“Eeek?!”
A strange sensation shot through my body, making me jerk in surprise.
Something squirmed beneath my lower body.
And it was somewhere that definitely shouldn’t be touched.
Trembling, I lowered my gaze.
A pillar of light was rubbing against a very private place between my legs.
“Th-that’s not a place you can go in!”
“…”
“G-Goddess! Really, that’s not allowed…!”
After that, I had to spend quite a while explaining human anatomy to the goddess.
