Chapter 161: Enoch Razvolnic 6
by AfuhfuihgsEnoch Razvolnic 6
+++
The first act of this war concluded with the Lion King’s solo defense, while the second act culminated in Doyun’s decisive 1 vs 4 duel against the Vanguard Commanders themselves.
The first act’s results – 95% of imp legions annihilated completely. The second act’s outcome – Vanguard Commander Lancelot’s demise. Both represented decisive Alliance victories overall.
A human manifesting Breath Weapon supremacy followed by a Vanguard Commander’s death – after such monumental revelations transpired, the entire battlefield fell into eerie silence altogether.
Allied forces refrained from any celebratory cheers over the enemy commander’s demise. The Demon Lord’s armies made no hasty retreats whatsoever either.
Everyone’s undivided attention remained fixated solely upon that lone central figure – an utterly breathless stillness permeating the atmosphere altogether.
Even amidst that already cataclysmic warzone akin to a raging tempest itself, veritable storm fronts seemed converging rapidly from every direction imaginable.
Satan hovered suspended midair scrutinizing that Apostle Doyun… No, gazing down upon that man without uttering any words whatsoever:
“…”
Lancelot’s final desperate death throes echoed repeatedly within his thoughts Over and over again:
[‘Enoch Razvolnic-!!!!’]
Despite representing the single most impossible existential conclusion ever conceivable under any ordinary circumstances whatsoever –
Not a single shred of lingering doubt remained across Lancelot’s utterly unambiguous dying screams reverberating hauntingly throughout.
The remaining three Vanguard Commanders still could not arrive at such decisive convictions concerning Doyun’s veritable identity just yet unlike Lancelot previously.
Yet they still reached their own separate conclusions regarding this engagement’s true pivotal significance instead:
“…Vanguard.”
Their missions across these battlefield campaigns serving the Demon Lord’s mandates had changed irreversibly altogether.
The Demon Lord’s supreme commander Satan himself murmured those words lowly under his breath:
“Listen well.”
Every single imp alongside warriors present alongside Alliance soldiers turned their undivided attentions towards Satan altogether:
“Hm?”
“What’s happening?”
Soldiers reacted with evident disquiet at this sudden cessation of hostilities without any forewarnings whatsoever.
The Demon Lord’s directives decreed conquering Muspelheim completely – that solitary objective representing their massive military deployment’s sole raison d’etre altogether.
Yet invoking supreme command authority, Satan enacted revised strategic mandates overriding those original missions entirely – all while supposedly acting in the Demon Lord’s own interests regardless.
No definitive confirmations yet. However… They simply could no longer afford dismissing those ominous premonitions outright any longer whatsoever.
Even remotely minuscule possibilities carried seismic implications potentially – no, not even fractional likelihoods came anywhere close whatsoever realistically.
If that very man before them all truly represented ‘Him’ reborn once more…
“…”
Satan’s quintessential Mind Mastery Authority reached outwards assailing every subordinate demon’s consciousness indiscriminately:
“Abandon all notions breaching those ramparts forthwith. Our campaign’s objectives have changed decisively instead.”
Raising his index talon decisively pointing directly towards Doyun’s position:
“Eliminate that man at all costs!”
“…!”
Everyone’s undivided gazes converged towards that singular focal point simultaneously:
The imp legions freezing mid-advance.
Satan glaring intensely towards Doyun head-on.
Vanguard Commanders readying concentrated bombardments.
Alliance soldiers reacting with naked dismay altogether.
Dead silence descended momentarily across those hellish landscapes altogether.
Then accompanied by the Lion King’s own thunderous roar echoing across those bloodied wastes – he who shared Satan’s very same ominous premonitions alongside acknowledging even minuscule chances representing momentously dire eventualities after all:
“Defend the Apostle Doyun regardless of any costs whatsoever-!!!”
Imp legions, warriors plus Vanguard Commanders surged into motion simultaneously – commencing the third climactic act of this fate-deciding Muspelheim campaign altogether!
++++
“Eliminate him no matter what-!!”
“Defend him regardless of any potential casualties-!!”
The remaining tens of thousands of imp hordes charged straight towards Doyun’s position without any hesitation whatsoever.
“Ughk…!”
As Doyun moved drawing his sword defensively, his entire corporeal form flinched painfully overall.
Not only had his mana reserves depleted almost completely after those relentless prior engagements – even his bloodline talents had suffered grievous injuries due to over-exertions altogether.
‘…Unleashing any major techniques seems doubtful for now.’
Just how could he possibly survive this outright slaughter descending upon him right now?
‘For starters…’
He recalled certain precautions still remaining unexercised until this fateful juncture:
“Hwuhp-“
Doyun condensed his remaining mana reserves into his vocal cords before bellowing out with every iota of vital strengths remaining:
“Tia-aaah!!! Sophie-eee!!!”
His resonant voice boomed thunderously across that entire battlefield panorama altogether.
Without any chances confirming those messages’ successful transmissions whatsoever, Doyun drew his blade instinctively –
For those imp tides rapidly descended crashing down upon his position like pitch-black tsunamis without any respites forthcoming.
‘I need only endure for now.’
Gritting his teeth tightly, Doyun gripped that sword resolutely:
[Razvolnic’s Style Swordsmanship – Chaotic Reaping]
Utterly merciless yet brutishly simplistic sword strikes indiscriminately repelled those encroaching obsidian tides relentlessly from every direction imaginable.
[Chaotic Reaping] represented an absolute last resort technique only utilized under scenarios completely surrounded without any escape vectors remaining viable whatsoever – swinging one’s blade randomly in every direction altogether without restrained focus.
Yet even resorting to such desperate gambits, Doyun still could not possibly fend off every single imp monstrosity simultaneously overwhelming him overall.
His excessively exhausted corporeal vessel simply could not keep up any longer whatsoever. Without manifesting widespread area-denial techniques consuming tremendous mana expenditures, repelling tens of thousands of imps singlehandedly proved utterly infeasible altogether eventually.
Though every sword flourish bisected five imp craniums simultaneously, more simply piled over their fallen without any traces of hesitation left – driven solely by absolute convictions obeying their master’s directives accomplishing Doyun’s demise no matter what.
“Kkrihheehhh!! Yyhl-“
An imp pounced forth with gaping jaws aiming for Doyun’s skull – only to get impaled straight through its gullet despite its lethal charge overall.
Even while mortally wounded, that abomination still flailed wildly swiping those talons viciously without restraint until the bitter end.
Doyun quickly sensed his rapidly deteriorating circumstances altogether now. Soon two more imps latched onto his forearms biting down viciously without relinquishing whatsoever:
Kwahdukt!
“…!”
Swinging his blade outwards decisively bisected those fiends gripping his limbs – yet their severed craniums still remained clamped down viciously without letting go under any circumstances whatsoever.
Kkwahdukt!
Next his thighs suffered vicious lacerations in turn.
Shurahk-
Followed by his ears getting torn off altogether now.
Progressively worsening wounds steadily accumulated across Doyun’s corporeal vessel – yet his sword strokes never faltered whatsoever amidst that chaotic carnage unfolding around him relentlessly.
He cleaved through those demonic tides without pause while surveying his immediate surroundings vigilantly altogether:
‘And the Vanguard Commanders…?’
Kaahng-
Kahng!
Resounding metallic clangs echoed consecutively prompting Doyun glancing behind warily:
“That bitch again! And just who the hell are you now?!”
“Wait, doesn’t she seem kinda familiar too somehow…?”
Luna had revealed herself engaging both Lilith and Satan directly – intercepting their attempts assailing Doyun outright.
Yet Luna remained nowhere near Doyun’s caliber nor particularly acquainted with those two Vanguard Commanders’ respective identities or threat assessments altogether.
Moreover her physical positioning optimized specifically for assassinations rather than frontal confrontations directly proved further detrimental overall.
Luna steadily yielded ground sustaining progressively worse injuries across her ashen grey skin – clearly unable to maintain these defensive gambits much longer against such overwhelming opposition whatsoever.
‘Is their arrival still delayed…?’
Doyun glanced upwards briefly amidst those chaotic combat zones:
Above his overhead celestial expanses, storm clouds rapidly converged yet hampered by prior dissipations from his Breath Weapon manifestation slowing their reconsolidation velocities somewhat.
‘Dammit…!’
He had not anticipated such potential complications arising amidst these compounded crises whatsoever beforehand.
Fortunately, additional reinforcements swiftly arrived upon the scene:
“Senior-rrr!!!”
Accompanied by that familiar boisterous baritone, razor-sharp winds converged simultaneously:
[Revolving Heaven]
Kwaaaaahhhhh-
Kkrihheehhk-!
Doyun hastily raised his blade broadside deflecting that windstorm protecting himself – while those imp monstrosities still latched onto him got brutally eviscerated outright instead.
Spinning his spear rapidly while taking flight, Heineken surged straight past Doyun taking defensive positions further ahead accordingly.
Lei alongside Brudhild arrived providing additional protective overwatch – both grimacing upon glimpsing Doyun’s bloodied state:
“Allow me carrying your injured self.”
“No need. I can still move under my own power… Yet escaping seems utterly impossible under any circumstances.”
Doyun glanced towards those intense combat zones where Vanguard Commanders continued battling fiercely altogether.
Both Brudhild and Lei followed his gaze shifting attentions towards that same direction simultaneously:
“…! But how could that child possibly withstand two Vanguard Commanders alone…?!”
“Eh? Who is that woman? I’ve never seen such a warrior among our ranks before…”
“She cannot maintain those defensive efforts for much longer regardless.”
Kwaaaaahhh- Another cyclonic windstorm manifested from Heineken’s spear immediately afterwards.
Lei launched a rapid sequence of invisible strikes pulverizing two freshly severed imp craniums Heineken had just neutralized seconds prior – her offensive techniques no longer relying solely upon sheer brute force applications overall.
“Brother, shall I provide aerial transport evacuating you instead?”
“Negative. Maintaining any aerial superiority proves utterly impossible across battlefields where Oz remains active. Any attempted flight represents suicidal futilities altogether.”
“Ah, yeah… The pre-mission briefings did cover those factors already. Still though…”
Lei examined Doyun’s grievously bloodied self more closely:
Already an utter mess and mana reserves seemingly depleted completely – her older brother figure truly appeared on the verge of outright retirement altogether now.
Doyun called out ensuring even Heineken could overhear him clearly amidst those chaotic upheavals:
“Reinforcements shall arrive shortly! Not just imp legions but Vanguard Commanders seek my demise as well – escape remains utterly impossible! We must endure defensively here for as long as necessary!”
“Reinforcements? What reinforcements?”
“No reinforcements remain available! The Lion King still recuperates while no more warrior assets exist whatsoever! We must retreat immediately!”
Heineken shouted defiantly amidst mowing down those endless imp swarms without pause.
Yet Doyun remained utterly resolute without any faltering whatsoever:
“Reinforcements are coming! That is an order! Hold this position at all costs!”
Hearing Doyun invoke that authoritative terminology, neither Brudhild nor Heineken dared voice any further protests whatsoever:
“Yes sir!”
“Understood!”
“Eh…?”
Seeing both Brudhild and Heineken acquiesce obediently shocked Lei momentarily:
“Wha-, What’s going on all of a sudden? Brother, you said we need retreating didn’t you?! Isn’t remaining so dangerously vulnerable…?! Even Brudhild…”
“Lei.”
Doyun met her confused gaze steadily instead:
“Oh, and about earlier… Were those truly Razvolnic techniques you utilized? And you seemed wielding sword arts resembling Brudhild’s Buske Style alongside Hecules’ martial disciplines too… Plus what did Lancelot call you exactly? Enoch Razvo…”
“Lei.”
Upon Doyun uttering her name directly while gazing into her eyes unflinchingly:
“Y-, Yes…?”
Lei found herself involuntarily trailing off altogether – utterly unable protesting against those uncompromising irises dominating her willfully whatsoever.
Even amidst those complete pandemonium surrounding them continuously, Doyun never lost his stoic clarity while reminding her softly:
“When you previously inquired regarding the origins behind Hecules’ disciplines I imparted, what did I tell you back then?”
“That you would reveal more in due time…”
“Correct.”
Placing that bloodied palm reassuringly upon her shoulder, Doyun comforted that youngest member among their current generation feeling overwhelmed by these unprecedented circumstances altogether:
“Once this war concludes completely, many things shall be elucidated more comprehensively then.”
“…Y-, Yes…”
Despite finding herself utterly unable describing those indescribable auras permeating across Doyun’s very existence, Lei nevertheless nodded obediently in turn.
Heineken cut their exchange off shouting urgently instead:
“Lei! Intercept those rear bombardments!!”
“Y-, Yes sir!”
She took flight intercepting those minor sorceries Oz lobbed from rearward positions relentlessly.
Doyun scrutinized the steadily converging storm fronts overhead intently:
Kurruringg…
Ssaaaaaaahhhh-
As thick obsidian thunderclouds completely blanketed celestial horizons, torrential downpours commenced cascading downwards like endless waterfalls altogether.
Those rainfall intensities manifested so heavily concentrated that terrestrial landscapes alongside atmospheric conditions practically flooded instantaneously akin to monsoon seasons unfolding.
‘It’s time.’
Soon afterwards, luminescent pillars erupted skywards from the rampart’s direction separately:
[Fwaaaaaahhhh-!]
A slightly diminished radiant column compared to Doyun’s own earlier Breath Weapon – yet unmistakably an authentic avatar manifestation nonetheless.
As that incandescent beam reached atmospheric apexes, clouds parted explosively outwards – sunlight penetrating those saturated landscapes once more alongside shimmering prismatic rainbows briefly.
Observing those refracted spectra refracting across vaporous mists, Doyun murmured meaningfully under his breath:
“…It has arrived.”
Kshurahku-
He drew forth his blade decisively once more, still freshly whetted by the Celestial Blacksmith’s own handiwork not too long ago.
Kaaaaahhhngg-!
Razor-sharp obsidian talons descended through those heavens aiming for Doyun’s cranium – only halting a hairsbreadth away from bisecting his very essence altogether instantaneously.
“So it has come to this after all…”
That massive demonic limb trembled erratically amidst vain efforts overcoming Doyun’s blade edge altogether.
“Your wretched existence has reached its terminal conclusion mongrel.”
Satan bared his obsidian fangs contemptuously amidst splatters of bloodied viscera dripping across his entire physical manifestation.
“You fucking madmaaaaaannnn-!!!”
Another demonic appendage descended lacerating viciously against Doyun without any restraint whatsoever this time.
Yet at that exact same moment:
“…!”
Detecting imminent mortal peril, Satan hastily backpedaled retreating post-haste altogether –
For a colossal fist descended smashing into that very same area Satan had occupied mere moments beforehand!
Kwaaaaahh–aaaaahhhnnngggg-!!!
Widespread shockwaves erupted pulverizing entire ground zones instantaneously – upheaving magma seas erupting skywards in volcanic detonations simultaneously!
Accompanied by earth-shattering detonations alongside cataclysmic impacts akin to natural disasters manifesting upon terrestrial landscapes –
“Such insanity…!”
Satan grunted apprehensively recoiling from those overwhelming energies altogether – just what cataclysmic upheavals had transpired suddenly?!
As those shockwaves alongside deafening thunderclaps dissipated eventually, magma geysers descended liquidating all across those upheaved crater formations steadily.
The magma seas themselves forcibly displaced steadily overflowed refilling those volcanic ruptures accompanied by reverberating Kwaaahhhng- impacts.
“Allow my assistance carrying you then.”
Having literally descended from celestial altitudes impacting like some meteor strike, a towering masculine figure murmured lowly under his breath.
Doyun exhaled ignition jet propellants stabilizing his aerial altitudes while waving off politely:
“No need kind sir. Though unfamiliar territory, I believe propelling myself through flight seems manageable regardless.”
Satan’s eyesockets widened involuntarily as intimately recognizable yet unnerving reverberations reached his awareness:
“You…!”
A man whose very existence across these battlefield zones proved utterly inconceivable based on historical records alone –
“Why are you here…?!”
Satan pointed a trembling accusatory talon towards that colossal figure disbelievingly.
“I have come.”
As cascading magma flows dissipated fully revealing his towering silhouette completely – one among the Alliance’s undisputed paragons acknowledged as the strongest overall:
“To fulfill this disciple’s filial duties towards his own mentor accordingly.”
The Saint King himself had arrived in the flesh finally.
