Runaway Girl (2)
“Hmm, I don’t sense any great evil here. Though even this level would make for quite good quality achievement.”
[You’re already full]
After saying a word to Ren who was muttering alone in front of the building, I headed inside with Kim Su-jung.
Though clearly an ordinary detective agency office, there wasn’t much to see. This is just one of their bases, the headquarters must be elsewhere. The problem is, I don’t particularly want to dig that deep.
“Got the goods. Now go.”
The one who collected the drugs we brought was some young bald guy. The delivery really ended just like that. In a way, Kim Su-jung wasn’t wrong saying it was easy.
“Not much to it?”
“Yeah. Let’s go back.”
I smirked and walked back with her. I remembered everything.
And tonight, they all die by my hand.
“Won’t you… sleep?!”
“I’ll come in later. Go to sleep.”
“She’ll get mad if we come in late and wake her!”
“That won’t happen.”
It was time to sleep. I left the panicking Kim Su-jung and went outside.
The wind is cold. The dark and gloomy alleys of this low-class neighborhood were dreary compared to the sparkling skyscrapers visible in the distance.
“But that’s none of my business.”
I pressed the connector. With a fluttering sound, my outfit changed instantly and my hair grew long.
“Uwaaaah!”
I grabbed Ren’s nape and flew into the sky in one go. The strong wind feels a bit better.
I caught my direction and flew straight there. I absently rubbed my right cheek. Though perfectly healed now with superhuman recovery.
But traces still remained in my heart. Seems I’ll need to play rough to resolve these feelings.
“Wait. You’re not going to… at this speed… huaaah!”
I dove while lowering altitude. Using Ren’s screams as background music, I collided without reducing speed.
“Kuhek…”
“Wh-what!”
Didn’t matter what kind of bastards were here. That bald guy from this afternoon. Just need to kill him for sure and destroy everything here.
Breaking through the wall with windows, I looked around at the people inside caught in the shockwave.
“Magical girl!!”
“Damn! Shoot!”
Found baldy. And these idiots panicked and attacked first, giving me justification.
“Hmm, though I’ve piled up achievements, just small fry. Indeed need to catch the mastermind for these things.”
“…Bothersome.”
With police sirens audible outside, it was time to leave. I crossed the floor soaked with sticky blood. Mutilated corpses were scattered everywhere. Naturally, ordinary gangsters couldn’t resist my shadows.
“A safe? This is quite good.”
“Wait, you’re not…”
I happened to find something I was looking for. I broke the lock by infiltrating shadows and opened the safe door.
Inside were the drugs we delivered today, various documents, and bundles of cash as I expected…
“Ah, that burns.”
“Such stupidity… how could a magical girl possibly steal!”
Sparks flew when I touched the money. Though I could ignore it if I wanted, that would violate the contract.
“What’s wrong with getting spoils of war? Murder is okay but this isn’t?”
“Ah, eliminating villains and magical girls getting unfair gains are clearly different matters!”
“Don’t make me laugh. You’re just trying to maintain your image.”
I snorted and flew up again after leaving the building. For now I’d destroyed one office of drug-dealing gangsters.
Next was time to deal with the crazy runaway family and drug couriers who dared abuse children.
“Though I wonder if this is the kind of salvation they wanted.”
When the villa came into view, I smirked. Would Kim Su-jung really still like me after seeing the real me? Blood and death took a long time to get used to even for me who lived in the demon realm.
“Time to wake up, rookies.”
I shot out shadows, enveloping the entire villa. Then I tore it apart.
The target I aimed to tear off was naturally the ceiling of our room on the top floor. Along with high-pitched screaming, dirt and dust showered down from the torn walls and ceiling.
“Uh, uwah…”
“I heard there was a really bad villain here.”
Holding up the ceiling with shadows. I approached the huddled girls showing my teeth in a grin.
“A stupid pig who can’t even do her own work, they say.”
My red eyes flashed. Thick killing intent, and the overwhelming fear from it dominated those present.
The powerless weak had no way to escape that fear.
“N-no! P-please spare me!”
I used shadows to grab and pull out the ankle of the pig woman hiding behind other girls as shields.
This stupid woman struggled while crying and making a huge fuss. I lifted her upside down in the air like pork hanging in a butcher shop.
“Sorry but no can do. A magical girl’s purpose is, eliminating evil.”
“Aah…”
Perhaps feeling guilty about something, the pig woman’s face was dyed with despair. I wasn’t making things up.
The reason I could touch her was because she harbored evil recognized by the fairy company.
“I don’t know anymore…”
Though Ren sighed like that, it seemed such a rookie’s evil barely counted as achievement.
To begin with, most people harbor evil inside.
Natural. The struggle to survive, instincts, desires. This society tries to label and control all those things as evil through laws and morals.
“Still eye for an eye, if you start something you should be prepared to die.”
“F-fuuuck!”
Finally driven to her limit, the pig woman began thrashing and spewing curses.
“What did I do wrong! Why am I getting shit for just disciplining stupid bitches… aaaak!”
“Don’t criticize me for being petty. I’m in a position where I can’t just take a beating and let it go.”
After coating my hand in shadow blades, I first cut off one of her sturdy flailing arms. Though she screamed as blood sprayed, I blocked the wound with shadows and raised the blade again.
“Know what Neungji-hyeong is? It’s an execution method where they fillet you alive.”
Finally fear returned to those eyes full of resentment.
Yes that’s right. Keep showing that expression.
“Hic… hic..”
“Kuk.”
Jeon So-hyeon covered Kim Su-jung’s eyes and tightly closed her own.
Magical girls were heroes, warriors of light bringing dreams and hope.
But what was before their eyes now was horror and darkness itself.
“Don’t listen. Don’t look.”
So-hyeon made Su-jung cover her ears too. Because she was covering her eyes, she herself had to hear all those terrible sounds and screams.
The hellish sound of a person being filleted alive. Screams now rasping in a hoarse voice.
“Stop this right now!”
“Takiras! You’re surrounded!”
And sirens and shouts ringing from all directions. She tightly hugged Su-jung, hoping for rescue soon.
Though gunshots rang out occasionally, nothing changed. Tear gas thrown was caught by shadow tentacles and thrown back, making only the police cough.
‘This is a disaster.’
Can’t block it, can’t avoid it. Like a typhoon or earthquake, can only wait for it to pass.
“Ah, already dead.”
With a splashing sound, a lump of meat that was once a person dropped into a pool of blood.
Only then did So-hyeon carefully open her eyes slightly.
“Takiras!”
“This impudent brat…”
At that moment several magical girls arrived cutting through the air.
“Ah, seniors?”
She, Takiras, smiled seeing them. Strangely, not a drop of blood stained her body or clothes.
“Why did you come? Do you cooperate with this country too?”
“Shut up! We’ve come to judge you for tarnishing the image of all magical girls!”
“Chuunibyou? Are you in middle school?”
“Eek!”
No need for words. The magical girls drew their armaments aiming at her. Their real purpose was naturally checking a powerful new achievement competitor who appeared like a comet.
However, simultaneously Takiras shot out shadows, firing dozens of slashes at the magical girls.
“Kyaaaah!”
“Sorry, but I still have one more to behead.”
The magical girls who couldn’t block the blade barrage were instantly neutralized. She quickly passed by them and flew into the air.
“Catch her!”
Police gunfire poured down but didn’t work on her in the first place.
“Amazing really. Historic! This is historic!”
“If you keep being noisy I’ll dump you here.”
Ren shouted while hanging on her body showing disgust, but she ignored him.
‘Found him. Stupid bastard. Should have run much further.’
Now fully accustomed to magical girl senses, Takiras detected familiar evil. The target running away through alleys.
It was Kim Gwang-hun who had been approaching the villa without knowing better.
“Huaak!”
She landed in front of him as he was fleeing. The escape route was already blocked by shadows. In the narrow alley, the two came face to face.
“You know well why you’re dying, right?”
“W-wait! I’ll talk! I’ll tell everything…”
“Sorry but I’m not curious at all.”
She swung her hand and struck off his head right there. Though beating information out of this bastard would surely yield achievement-worthy info, she didn’t want to hear it.
“Whew.”
A bit tired and above all too tedious.
‘I can’t live like this anymore. How is this different from the demon realm.’
Shaking her head roughly, she instantly undid her transformation. She stuck her hands in her pants pockets and slowly returned to the villa.
This whole area was already in complete chaos due to her.
