Chapter 14: If Main Account Gets Banned, Just Come Back With an Alternate Account

Ina-ring awkwardly scratched her head, looking at the chaotic mess in the chat.
“Oops, I let something slip,” she thought.
But it’s fine.
It’s not like I revealed some huge, unfixable spoiler.
The key here is to act natural.
“Lalala~ Guess I’ll just play some games~”
-Trying to brush it off like nothing happened?
-EXPLAIN!! EXPLAIN!!
-Holding my breath until you explain! inhales deeply
“Alright, let’s get this show on the road~ Clicky clicky~”
-Ooh!
-Nice!
-Sweet!
See?
Just smoothly change the subject and the viewers will follow along.
Time Click is truly amazing.
“Okay, today we’re going to make it to Grandmaster 1, which I couldn’t do yesterday!”
-Alright, introducing the players: Charging Knight, and White Dispersal!
-Hey, is Charging Knight’s ban lifted?
“Hmm, I heard it’s still in effect. What a shame! I could’ve gotten a sweet carry if he wasn’t banned.”
-This girl, already planning on getting carried from the start!
-Ina-ring, you were already thinking about hopping on the bus?
-Hmm, I wonder if that Charging Knight is actually that Charging Knight…
“Hey, I’m just kidding, everyone. Even I was aiming to reach Grandmaster with my own skills. So, before we start this climb-“
Ina-ring immediately closes her eyes and clasps her hands in a reverent pose.
The newer viewers eagerly spammed the “hook” emote (expressing interest/anticipation), while the veteran fans, familiar with Ina-ring’s antics, seemed unfazed, as if saying, “Here we go again.”
Then, Ina-ring’s voice, filled with mock piety, echoed.
“Alright, everyone, let’s pray together. Oh, gods, please have mercy on this cute Ina-ring and protect me from those awful stream snipers! I beg you, I beg you!”
-Wow! That’s the most half-assed prayer I’ve ever heard!
-Your prayers are getting more and more insincere.
The gods listening to that prayer must be speechless!
-Just pray to Charging Knight, you useless tank!
“Oh, should I? Well, Charging Knight did help me get this far. Adding him to the prayer couldn’t hurt, right?”
-Adding prayer targets like you’re picking toppings at Subway!
-Ah, the usual Ina-ring, let’s celebrate with a drink!
And then…
Ding-
“Ah! Got a match!”
-??
“Heheng! I knew this would happen, so I started searching before I even prayed!”
-Whoa! High-level psychological warfare!
-So Ina-ring’s brain isn’t completely empty after all?
-That explains why she was covering the screen.
“Of course! It’s not like this is my first rodeo. At this point, they probably also…”
As she scanned the enemy team’s names, Ina-ring’s expression suddenly turned blank.
“What the—!”
One name on the enemy team was awfully familiar.
White Dispersal!
Along with Charging Knight, he’s one of the most notorious stream snipers targeting Ina-ring. A one-trick pony who only plays Pobat Doctor.
It had been almost five months since he started stream sniping Ina-ring.
He knew all of her habits and patterns inside and out.
“Hehe.”
Ha-nammi happily selected Pobat Doctor, a bright smile on his face.
He felt a rush of excitement from successfully sniping her again.
Even though he couldn’t use his Charging Knight account, he had a backup just for these occasions.
Just hearing Ina-ring’s frustrated screams was enough to satisfy him.
“Noooo!! Why did it have to be you?!”
Meanwhile, Ina-ring was having a meltdown.
White Dispersal.
That psycho is no joke.
In some ways, he’s even more of a menace than Charging Knight.
His brand of harassment was particularly nasty.
Just two months ago, one of Ina-ring’s MUtube videos went viral, hitting 300,000 views.
The video was titled [White Dispersal, You Freaking Idiot!].
It showed White Dispersal popping up out of nowhere every time she respawned, constantly spawn-camping her and generally making her life miserable.
He kept it up until the very end of the game. He was truly dedicated to being awful.
“Ugh, and why did we have to get defense first?!”
Unlike the attacking side, the defending team gets to move towards the objective point and set up first, but there’s a major downside: the defending team’s spawn area is much further away from the objective.
White Dispersal used this to his advantage to snipe Ina-ring.
His method was simple, yet effective.
He’d kill his target, then hide near the defense spawn point and keep taking them out as they emerged.
The rest of the team, defending the objective point, were too far away to provide any help.
But who is Ina-ring?
She’s a determined gamer who fought her way to Master rank through all sorts of unfair situations and relentless stream snipers!
And after being targeted for five straight months, she knew White Dispersal’s playstyle like the back of her hand.
So, Ina-ring’s plan for this game was…
“Okay, I’m going to play it safe.”
She chose Angel and focused on staying alive!
Angel is known as the most difficult healer to hit in the game.
Her ability, Angel’s Wings, allows her to quickly fly to allies, and her skill has a very short cooldown, making her movements unpredictable.
It’s said that even pro players struggle to hit a skilled Angel player due to their butterfly-like maneuvers.
“You’re going down. You know how amazing I am with Angel, right?”
To be fair, Ina-ring was a good Angel player.
Her viewers knew that.
She mostly played Time Magician now, but she had previously climbed all the way to Diamond playing only Angel.
Ha-nammi considered his options.
‘Hmm… Angel, huh?’
Her unpredictable movement could make it difficult to hit her in a head-on fight.
Angel’s mobility is tricky.
Even with my ability to perceive the movements of the heroes in slow motion, projectiles can still miss the mark if my predictions are off.
‘But what if I tried this?’
It wasn’t like there were no solutions.
If she was hard to hit, he just had to wait for the right opportunity.

[The game begins!]
As soon as the match started, I immediately headed down a different route than my teammates.
Let’s see if I can catch Ina-ring off guard…
As soon as the game started, the attacking team charged towards the objective point.
And, as expected, White Dispersal selected Pobat Doctor.
Okay, so far so good.
From here on out, I just have to stay behind cover, focus on healing, and let my teammates handle the rest.
After all, Angel’s heal is guided.
The feathers falling from Angel’s Wings automatically seek out the closest teammate and heal them.
Even with terrible aim, as long as you hold down the left mouse button, you can deliver consistent healing.
And so, Ina-ring designated herself as the team’s personal totem pole, and the first team fight began.
[TankForHire] > [Will Die If Ignored]
“Nice!”
The enemy team’s tank recklessly pushed into the objective point and was eliminated.
His positioning left him vulnerable, and he didn’t receive adequate healing.
The fight became 6 versus 5, giving Ina-ring’s team the advantage.
Ina-ring and her teammates seized the opportunity.
[HippoLips] > [FakeDealer]
[M4M] > [Sikorsky]
[InaInaRing] > [rrrpo]
[JonghyukGod’sMinion] > [SubwayExit1YourMom’sHouse]
[M4M] > [HippoLips]
“Nice job, team!”
-Nice.
-Nice.
The defense team emerged victorious in the first engagement.
The team’s damage dealer, “FakeDealer,” was eliminated in the skirmish, but because he died early, he’d be able to regroup with the team around the time the enemy respawned.
But then…
-Wait, we’re missing someone?
-Yeah, where’s White Dispersal?
Hearing those words, Ina-ring’s spine stiffened with a sudden chill.
She sensed a dangerous presence behind her.
And, as if on cue, a white projectile whizzed through the air from behind.
Ding-
The projectile struck Ina-ring directly in the back of the head.
“Ah.”
The headshot caused her to stumble, but Ina-ring instinctively sidestepped to avoid the next shot, but with no luck.
Ding-
White Dispersal > [InaInaRing]
She collapsed, killed by two headshots.
-!?
-What?
-White Dispersal was behind us?
-When did he get there?
And then Ina-ring shouted, her voice laced with desperation.
“Get him!!! You HAVE to get him!!”
-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
-ㅋㅋㅋ
We can’t let him hang around the defense spawn area!
If we don’t stop him now, he’s going to keep harassing us every time we respawn!
In response to Ina-ring’s outburst, her teammates chuckled and rushed off to hunt down White Dispersal.
But…
-Ah, he got away.
-Where is he?
-Wow… he’s really good at hiding.
-Hey, FakeDealer, didn’t you see White Dispersal on your way here?
-Nope, didn’t see him.
White Dispersal, true to his reputation as a spawn-camping sniper, had vanished into the shadows.
Eventually, the enemy team respawned and her teammates began to head back to the objective.
-We’re counting on you, Ina-ring.
-Hey, you’re Master 1, there’s no way you’re losing to a Master 4, right?
-Yeah, you got this.
Ina-ring shivered, struggling to contain her anger.
The fact that her teammates could say such nonchalant things made her blood boil.
Now that she thought about it, those guys were probably enjoying this whole situation.
Even if they lost one player, White Dispersal would be off sniping her, so the team fights would remain a 5-versus-5 stalemate.
Still, their words spurred her pride.
“Alright. Let’s do this.”
Ina-ring selected Time Magician.
Since joining the team quickly was key, she would rely on Time Magician’s “Time Acceleration” skill.
Then, she cautiously peeked around the entrance to the spawn area.
She couldn’t see him, but she knew he was lurking somewhere.
-Is she playing a horror game now?
She’s shaking like a leaf!
“Hey, can’t you see I’m trying to concentrate? Quiet down!”
oo donated 1,000 won!
[100,000 won if you reach the objective safely, avoiding White Dispersal!]
“Oh! You just made a deal with the devil! Get those 100,000 won ready!”
With that, Ina-ring activated Time Acceleration and bolted toward the objective point like a human cannonball.
No matter how skilled White Dispersal was, his weapon fired projectiles, meaning he couldn’t possibly hit someone moving this quickly-
Ding-
“!?”
It all happened in an instant.
She was struck in the head mid-sprint.
“Ughaaaa!”
Caught off guard, Ina-ring did the worst possible thing: she stopped running and tried to dodge.
That was a mistake.
Thwip!
White Dispersal appeared out of nowhere and fired a web at Ina-ring, trapping her in place for 1.5 seconds.
With Ina-ring immobilized, White Dispersal launched a projectile towards her head.
Ding-
White Dispersal > [InaInaRing]
-Ouch…
-Well, you tried, Ina-ring.
-Hang in there, Ina-ring.
But luckily, the defense team managed to win the second team fight.
And, because there was still time remaining, the team’s damage dealer, “FakeDealer,” hurried over to save Ina-ring.
“That’s right, FakeDealer! You came to rescue me!”
Ding-
-Huh? What was that?
White Dispersal> [FakeDealer]
FakeDealer joined Ina-ring in the respawn area, eliminated by two quick headshots.
FakeDealer sighed.
-Sorry, guys. I got caught too.
-ㅋㅋㅋㅋ What are you doing?
-ㅋㅋㅋ Seriously, stop living up to your name!
-Wait, how did he even hit that? Has White Dispersal always been this good?
The situation shifted to a 5-versus-4 in the objective.
Ina-ring exclaimed!
“Hey, hey! Wait for me! I’ll be there in a flash!”
Even though FakeDealer failed in his rescue attempt, the resulting 2-versus-1 scenario meant that at least someone could escape.
-Hurry! The enemy team’s coming!
“Okay! Be right there!”
Ina-ring once again activated Time Acceleration and dashed towards the objective with FakeDealer.
But…
Ding-
“No, you’ve gotta be kidding me!!?”
Ding-
White Dispersa > [InaInaRing]
Somehow, White Dispersal managed to land nothing but headshots on Ina-ring as she sprinted across the map.
FakeDealer stared down at Ina-ring’s lifeless body in stunned silence.
And the chat box exploded.
White Dispersa: Go on.
[FakeDealer]: Thank you very much, White Dispersal. Sorry for getting in your way. Later.
FakeDealer then swiftly headed to the objective, as if he had never attempted a rescue in the first place.
Ina-ring screamed!
“Wait, why did he let him go?! Whyyyy?!”
Guess he’s a fan of yours, Ina-ring.
“Ugh, I’m just too popular!”
Even in these dire circumstances, Ina-ring’s humility remained absent.
Ina-ring said in a urgent voice.
“Objective! How’s the objective doing?”
-Yeah, we won the team fight, so you can take your time getting here.
“Oh! As expected of my team!”
I guess the skill gap is bigger than I thought.
Nice!
Okay, now I just need to get back to the objective point and rejoin my team.
But, White Dispersal seems to be on a roll today. This won’t be easy.
How can I possibly outsmart White Dispersal?
After a moment of thought, Ina-ring sent White Dispersal a message.
[InaInaRing]: Hey there, White Dispersal.
[InaInaRing]: What kind of stuff are you into? Wanna go on a date with me if you’re bored? 😉
And she immediately activated Time Acceleration and bolted toward the objective point.
White Dispersal is probably blushing and giggling like an idiot right now, right?
“A date? Please! Score one for Ina-ring! He’s so dumb! You can rot alone in a corner of the map for the rest of the game! Ina-ring will be on her way now~ Bye-bye~ Ahaha!”
Her trademark laughter was the perfect finishing touch.
Her incredibly irritating personality was on full display.
As she ran towards the objective with a triumphant grin…
Ding-
“Ugh, UEEEEE!!!”
A projectile out of nowhere struck the Time Magician square in the head.
Ina-ring’s personality underwent an instant transformation.
“Hey! I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Please just let me go this once!”
Ding-
“Ughyaaaa!!!”
White Dispersal > [InaInaRing]
But White Dispersal showed no mercy.
Ina-ring once again met her demise and returned to the respawn area.
At this point, even Ina-ring was starting to feel exasperated.
“Seriously, what the hell?! How is he hitting me so consistently? He was pretty far away, but he keeps landing headshots. With projectiles?! What, is he the reincarnation of Charging Knight?!”
Our Ina-ring’s words were coming out in a rapid-fire torrent, her composure completely shattered.
Feeling truly cheated, she decided to examine the death cam.
“Wait, how did he even hit that…… huh?”
And as soon as she saw the death cam footage, Ina-ring’s words caught in her throat.
The viewers reacted in much the same way.
-???
The White Dispersal’s aim in the death cam… it looked awfully familiar. In fact, it looked downright suspicious.
Ina-ring could only utter one, bewildered word.
“……Charging…?”
Ha-nammi visibly flinched, a sheen of sweat breaking out on his forehead.
How did she know?!
Ha-nammi quickly typed in the chat:
White Dispersal : Not me.
“Why are you suddenly being so polite? More importantly, you’ve been watching the stream, haven’t you?!”
Ina-ring then reached for her smartphone.
She immediately placed a call to someone.
Ha-nammi’s phone erupted into a noisy cacophony of ringing.
He hiccupped, an involuntary reaction.
