Chapter 14
I Became a Prisoner Trainer in the Dungeon.
Episode 14: Testimony Of Your Faith (3).
“This way.”
Following the guidance of the succubus secretary, I walked down the corridor behind her.
Crunch.
Behind me, the priestess follows quietly, completely naked.
Her eyes full of malice still glare at me as if she wants to kill me, but that malice will soon be directed at someone else.
“Here it is.”
At the end of the corridor, there was a door with a magic circle drawn on it.
As the succubus secretary placed her hand on the magic circle, it soon started to shimmer, and the door began to ripple with various colors.
“A portal?”
“Yes.”
The succubus secretary stepped aside, pointing forward to me, and I took a large step forward.
Wheeeng.
I felt slightly dizzy, but soon a new space unfolded before me.
“This is…”
“It’s the altar for ceremonies.”
Quite a spacious hall.
Similar to the banquet hall used by nobles, but with a circular altar in the center.
“This is the Altar of Corruption, meticulously crafted by the Vampire Princess. If you succeed in demonizing…”
“Let’s discuss that later, just between us.”
I could tell the succubus secretary was excited, but if her talk leads to the priestess not corrupting, that would be a problem.
“Proceed.”
“Yes, Trainer.”
The succubus secretary sends the priestess to the center of the altar.
The priestess, barefoot, slowly steps onto the altar and quietly clasps her hands together.
“O Goddess.”
Despite this being a demon’s altar.
“Your servant, Dalia, prays to you.”
Priestess Dalia clasped her hands in prayer to the goddess.
“Please help me overcome this trial.”
Click.
As the succubus secretary pulled a lever connected to the altar, the altar soon glowed with red light, the magic circle shimmering red.
“Please grant me the power to punish those who have betrayed you.”
Priestess Dalia closed her eyes.
The blood-like liquid that dyed the magic circle red began to envelop Priestess Dalia’s entire body.
“Even if for a moment, this body must consort with the evil of this land.”
There was no divine power here.
Only the devout faith of Priestess Dalia was being expressed.
“Help me to bring divine retribution to those who have betrayed and insulted you within this evil.”
That faith was manifesting as hatred and anger towards the traitors.
“I am-”
Swoosh.
The red liquid enveloped Priestess Dalia.
Like a cocoon wrapping a silkworm, she was quickly encased in a red cocoon, and I quietly approached the succubus secretary.
“Will it take long?”
“No. It’ll be over soon.”
The succubus secretary pointed at her lower abdomen, towards where the mark was engraved.
“If it wasn’t filled, it could take 30 days, but since it’s already filled, all that’s left is to wait for the result.”
“Choosing your servant as a demon… no, it doesn’t matter.”
I remembered.
The Vampire Princess desires those who had fallen as demons but also wanted to increase her ‘servants.’
“Do you feel sorry? That she’s turning into another demon.”
The succubus secretary gives me a meaningful smile.
“Or do you regret that everyone is becoming vampires? Heh heh.”
“If there are more succubi, there will be more options.”
“Options…?”
“Yeah. After corrupting humans into succubi, you could send a succubus squad to a village to rape the men and take them as prisoners.”
“Oh…”
The succubus secretary licked her lips in amusement.
“That’s brilliant.”
“But it won’t happen. The Vampire Princess wouldn’t want it.”
“Using those who’ve turned into vampires in this way could be one method.”
“Is it possible?”
“The Vampire Princess said that how to manage the corrupt ones… oh, you can hear about that later.”
The succubus secretary pointed ahead.
“Look. The first miracle you’ve created.”
“A miracle, is it?”
Crack.
The elongated red cocoon splits open vertically.
Like a virgin’s entrance parting, from the long vertical tear, a woman slowly emerged.
“……”
A naked woman with white hair and red eyes.
Her chest had grown larger, her waist slimmer, and her hips and buttocks had widened for childbirth.
“……”
But in her vertically split pupils, there was indifference, along with a faint anger and irritation as she looked at me.
“Phew.”
I stood before her.
“Congratulations on your rebirth!!”
I greeted her loudly.
“Who are you?”
“You said corruption, but you’ve just become a vampire.”
The vampire woman mocked me.
“Congratulations, my foot.”
“What’s your name?”
“Dalia.”
The vampire woman hadn’t lost her memory.
“A servant of the goddess, a symbol of faith and belief.”
She had merely become a vampire.
“I’ve become a demon, but I will prove my faith from the heart of the demonic realm.”
“……”
“What are you doing? Not taking me where those bastards are right away.”
Dalia laughed fiercely, extending her hand forward.
“Those who dared to deny the goddess for their survival, let’s kill them all.”
“…Are you really a demon?”
“Ha. You made me into a demon, you bastard.”
Judging by how she addressed me, she seemed to have indeed become a demon.
“Here.”
Dalia lifted her upper lip with one hand to reveal her fangs.
“…Does this make me look more like a demon?”
She then brushed her lower abdomen with her hand-
Flutter.
Soon, bat wings typical of a vampire spread out from her back.
“Huh?”
“……Indeed, you’re a demon.”
As she revealed her identity as a demon and vampire, the mark on her lower abdomen began to shine.
That mark.
The womb seal.
A symbol and brand of having fallen from human to demon through indoctrination.
“Welcome, Dalia.”
Sincerely.
“Secretary, is she really okay?”
“Yes. She has now become a perfect demon.”
I created a separate space with the succubus secretary to inquire about Dalia’s condition, but the succubus secretary nodded proudly.
“Becoming a demon, or rather a vampire, doesn’t significantly change one’s disposition. If the indoctrination we’ve done results in a change of personality upon becoming a vampire, wouldn’t that be troublesome for you, Trainer?”
“……”
“Personally, I had some concerns, but the priestess has accepted becoming a demon of her own accord. There are still many aspects to be worried about and limitations, but the fact that she has taken this first step is quite encouraging.”
“Concerns?”
“What do you think?”
The succubus secretary grinned cheerfully.
There seemed to be an intent to test me in her gaze.
“…That she won’t fully act for the demons?”
“Yes, exactly.”
The priestess had become a demon.
Through the Altar of Corruption created by the Vampire Princess, she had become a complete vampire.
But.
“If you ask, ‘Does she act for the demon army?’ the answer would be ambiguous.”
“Because she only acts to execute human betrayers?”
“That’s correct.”
The vampire Dalia only acted with true intent when it came to killing human betrayers.
“If you order her to kill an innocent human, she will resist the command. When command and will conflict, she will go berserk, becoming an uncontrollable monster.”
“……”
“That’s why indoctrination is necessary. The demon army can forcibly demonize humans. But what the Vampire Princess wants…”
“Is a vampire with human intelligence, not a beast that tears apart and eats its own family?”
“Exactly.”
We called such beasts ghouls.
They were classified as monsters that moved only by survival or destructive instincts, not as sentient beings.
“From a human perspective… it’s like signing a contract to work for demons instead. They only do what’s stipulated in the contract, or resist and try to escape if they’re asked to do something contrary to the contract.”
“That would be two main issues.”
“Yes.”
One. Kill those who had betrayed the goddess.
Two. Even as a demon, she proved that the goddess’s faith has not forsaken her.
“What happened to the divine power?”
“Well…”
The succubus secretary gave a troubled smile.
“Now, we must check, right?”
With that, she quickly created an illusion in the air with her hand.
“How to kill.”
In a quiet room.
The first to enter as the door opens was-
The knight who killed me.
The scoundrel who called my living savior, Eris, his fiancée or whatnot.
In front of him stood Dalia.
“What, what is this?”
The knight, Jake, was bewildered.
“You said we could escape if we came here?”
No one was there to unlock the handcuffs on his wrists, nor to return his gear.
“Did you trick me! You damn…!”
“Jake.”
A voice calling his name came from the darkness.
“You… you’re Dalia?”
The woman who appeared, calling his name, was dressed in a neat priestess robe.
“You begged for mercy at the feet of the Goddess’s symbol to survive.”
“Why, why is your hair… a vampire?!”
“That’s not important.”
The priestess Dalia, whose robe seemed to have been magically cleaned of semen stains, took off her hood.
“Even if they made me into a vampire, I am still a follower of the Goddess.”
“Ha, haha…! What kind of bullshit are you spouting…! You, who have become a demon!!”
“It’s not for you, who betrayed the Goddess, to say.”
Click.
“Die, traitor.”
In Dalia’s hand, the mace began to shimmer with something mixed with red and white.
“……What is that?”
Knight Jake was confused.
It didn’t look like mana, but it seemed mixed with the unique demonic energy of demons-
“Divine… power?”
There was still the unmistakable white of divine power in it, something hard to describe.
“Divine power, indeed.”
Dalia twisted her lips into a sneer.
“The Goddess commands. Kill the traitor.”
“Wait, wait! I, I…! I was just trying to survive-”
Bam.
“Silence, heretic.”
Red blood splattered onto Dalia’s white robe.
“What’s more unforgivable than heresy is a traitor who abandons faith for their own life.”
“Urgh…!”
“As an executor of divine punishment, I will bring down the hammer of judgment.”
Bam.
Dalia, holding the mace high, was.
“In the name of the Goddess.”
Smiling brighter than ever before.
“Is it divine power?”
“It is divine power, but…”
“But?”
“…Should we call it divine power mixed with blood?”
The succubus secretary’s eyes wavered.
“I’ve never seen anything like that before…”
“……”
“Um, Trainer. It seems…”
The succubus secretary swallowed hard.
“We should report directly to the Vampire Princess.”
