Chapter 139: Going Home (2

Eunbyul brought the sailing yacht loaded onto the truck trailer to the dockside and placed it down onto the ground as is.

Her expression remained the same unchanging blank look she had been facing, but the way she drove the truck carrying the yacht and her slightly excited voice subtly expressed her enjoyment.

“I will return the truck and trailer to the garage and come back. Please wait here for a moment, you two.”

    “Okay.”

    “Understood.”

While Eunbyul, having placed the yacht down, went back to the garage, I said to Sihee.

    “Eunbyul-ssi seems strangely happy.”

“Of course. Yacht sailing is Eunbyul’s favorite hobby.”

    “Yacht sailing is her hobby?”

“She said it’s quite enjoyable to move forward with the power of nature while cutting through the sea breeze. Like she feels like she’s becoming one with nature.”

If she were a chaebol heiress, maybe, but it was a strangely fascinating fact that she, a servant, had such a hobby.

Wondering if I was looking too caught up in stereotypes, I asked Sihee again.

“That’s quite a luxurious hobby. By any chance, is this yacht also Eunbyul-ssi’s personal property?”

“It used to be Eunbyul’s personal property… Unfortunately, it’s mine now though.”

    “…I see.”

Because she seemed to trail off strangely, I didn’t delve deeply into what Sihee and Eunbyul’s relationship was. Just the fact that she was once a Hunter from the Foundation but now Sihee’s servant was enough for me to infer Eunbyul’s circumstances to some extent.

“Anyway, if yacht sailing was your hobby, Eunbyul-ssi could have enjoyed her hobby while on this island.”

“I already told her that. Normally, serving me wasn’t her role; I only asked her for helicopter piloting needed for entry and exit. But still, she refused, saying she had to focus only on serving me while she was with me. What could I do but accept her refusal?”

“If Eunbyul-ssi said that, then I guess it can’t be helped.”

Still, thanks to her hard work without rest, Sihee and I had a pleasant vacation at the seaside villa, so it was truly something to be grateful for.

“Well, since she got time to enjoy her hobby even like this, it’s not too bad. She probably couldn’t have had serious hobby time since she started working as my servant.”

“Bad things happened, so good things should happen too.”

Truly, the more I dug into the story, the more I realized she was an amazing person.

Helicopter piloting, cocktail mixing, seafood preparation, the combat ability of an A-rank Hunter, followed by yacht sailing.

At this rate, it seems like it would be better to just ask her what she can’t do.

    “I’ve returned, Master, Kim Sungchul-nim.”

    “Good work, Eunbyul.”

“From now on, I will launch the yacht into the sea and immediately travel to New Guinea Island.”

    “Ah, shall I help?”

    “It’s alright, Kim Sungchul-nim.”

Even though it’s a yacht capable of single-person operation, it looked quite heavy, so I intended to help move it, but Eunbyul calmly lifted it with both hands and placed it into the sea. To be precise, she had moved it using her awakened ability, while slightly lifting the yacht into the air.

Come to think of it, the original owner of this yacht was Eunbyul from the beginning, she said. It seemed like blades or something were installed inside the yacht so it could be easily controlled to match her awakened ability.

Jumping onto the yacht from the dockside, she said to Sihee and me.

“Please board the yacht too, you two.”

Hearing Eunbyul’s words, Sihee and I followed her onto the yacht and took our seats. Sihee seemed to have boarded this yacht before, not just this time. Familiar with the process, she opened the drawer under the seat, took out cushions, and placed them on my seat and her own, respectively.

Following her consideration, I sat in the seat first, and as Sihee also sat down, Eunbyul said.

    “We will set sail.”

It was the first time I had ridden a sailing yacht personally piloted by an active-duty maid.

As soon as Eunbyul pulled up the anchor rope using a capstan that I’d only seen in manga and unfurled the folded sails, the yacht carrying the three of us slowly began to move towards the sea.

“How long do you think the trip will take?”

“Based on the current wind speed and direction, I estimate it will take about three hours.”

Three hours. We’ll probably arrive around evening.

“I was prepared for it since it was a distance that took about an hour by helicopter, so it doesn’t seem to take that long compared to what I thought.”

“That’s why, because we departed from inland when we first came in. If you measure the distance from the coast to the island, it’s not that far from the mainland, New Guinea Island.”

    “I see.”

To New Guinea Island, three hours huh. It meant that the time Sihee and I, whom I met after a long time, could spend together from now on was at most only about that much. With Do Sihee, who has to start work immediately after only exchanging farewells with me, she probably wouldn’t even have time for a leisurely meal.

If it weren’t for the Monster Wave, we could have stayed together for at least several more hours. Shared plenty of love during that time. Mostly in a sexual sense.

“…In the end, we couldn’t have the rematch in swimming.”

It seemed I wasn’t the only one feeling regret about parting, as Sihee too held my hand and muttered with a regretful voice.

“I know. I could have received one more wish coupon from Sihee-ssi.”

“I’m sorry, but I can’t agree with that. If we had, I would have won.”

“By any chance, if you received the wish coupon, what did you plan to use it for?”

“…Actually, since it’s already been fulfilled, more or less, it doesn’t matter much anymore.”

    “Huh?”

Sihee pondered for a moment, then carefully explained to me about the wish she originally intended to say.

“Actually, when I had time next, I was going to bring up the idea of going on an expedition together as a party.”

“An expedition together as a party?”

“Although we belong to different guilds and can’t officially party up, we can meet each other in shared dungeons like the abandoned city, like last time. Meeting people from other guilds and hunting together in places like that isn’t strictly prohibited by the Foundation, so I was thinking of suggesting we go on a dungeon date together.”

    “I see.”

“…It did come true, though, in a slightly different form through the Monster Wave.”

As if looking back at the receding island, Do Sihee said, muttering lonely.

“If I had known that, I would have suggested we defeat the Kraken together from the beginning. It’s a shame.”

“Do you know you almost died? What would have happened if Eunbyul and I hadn’t returned? Don’t do such a reckless act again.”

“I won’t. The experience of jumping down from a flying helicopter is enough for me once.”

It was something I couldn’t do twice. Jumping down from 50 meters in the air, facing an S-rank monster alone.

Still, it was fortunate, at least, because it was a rewarding result in its own way. In addition, even though I received help from two people (+ one helicopter), I stabbed the Kraken’s eye with my own hands anyway, so it could be considered that I achieved sufficient growth in its own way.

…With this much power, I won’t repeat the memory from when I was ten again in the future, at least.

“If we get the chance in the future, let’s go often. Party hunting.”

    “Really?”

“For me too, frequent meetings with Sihee-ssi happening is a joyful thing. There were a few shared dungeons the Union and the Foundation share, right?”

“Then let’s do that. I’ll have to readjust the schedule a bit. Ah, but if that happens, I can’t let the Foundation people find out about Sungchul-ssi, so do I have to act solo? Hmm….”

Her acting solo, as a rear-guard position player, was risky in many ways, so I said, pointing to Eunbyul, her servant.

“Isn’t Eunbyul-ssi affiliated with the Foundation too? We can operate as a trio next time.”

    “I don’t mind, Master.”

“…But is that okay? I was worried Sungchul-ssi might be uncomfortable, so I deliberately didn’t bring it up.”

“We’ve spent time together for one day, and on top of that, we’re also people who risked our lives fighting together.”

Even someone who is quite shy would tend to develop some attachment, whether they like it or not, after going through something like this together. That’s why Eunbyul’s potential acquisition points towards me also rose to 10.

“And whether she likes it or not, we’ve already revealed everything, whether it should be shown or not, to Eunbyul-ssi. My body too, and my awakened abilities. Conversely, it means I don’t have to be self-conscious when using my awakened abilities, so it’s actually welcome.”

“…Come to think of it, that’s true.”

“Thank you for evaluating it positively, Kim Sungchul-nim.”

“Okay. Then next time when we schedule it, I’ll bring Eunbyul too. In terms of combat ability, Eunbyul is not inferior to me.”

Having finished the conversation like that, Sihee immediately leaned against the hull bench where the sea breeze blew and wore a bitter expression.

“…Even so, I’ll have to spend time finishing up this matter for a while anyway.”

Suddenly, as if recalling her future, the blonde heiress softly sighed.

While holding the helm and piloting the yacht, Eunbyul quietly spoke to Sihee.

    “…Master.”

    “What is it, Eunbyul?”

“If you check inside the drawer installed under the seat, waterproof sleeping bags and pillows are prepared.”

“I know. Eunbyul put them there to use for her hobby, right? She said it feels good sleeping on it as if drifting while piloting the yacht.”

    “Huh?”

Not understanding Eunbyul’s intention immediately, Sihee asked the maid again.

“We still have at least two hours to travel to New Guinea Island, so before we arrive, it’s not insufficient time for you two to share your love, right?”

In many ways, she was truly an exceptional maid when it came to intuition.
