    Chapter 127: Mollu’s Counseling Center

Daesik’s training didn’t take as long as I thought.

Maybe because he was still a decent fighter deep down, his old skills seemed to come back quickly as we sparred.

Glancing at Daesik’s chat window, it looked like others agreed too.

There were even comments criticizing him, like “Why didn’t you do this sooner?”

Usually, people don’t really know their own problems.

    That’s why there’s a coach and a manager.

You can review your own replays to find issues, but getting feedback from others is much more effective.

After holding Daesik for about 30 minutes, public opinion suddenly shifted.

People started saying he looked pitiful and begged me to just let him go.

I couldn’t understand what was so pitiful about him.

With Molyeonjin’s ruthlessness, GoDegi’s behavior, and the whole nerdy Daesik meme I recently created, it was funny how people acted as if I was really the one bullying him.

Some even asked if I was truly a delinquent. Once a frame is put on you, people can easily misunderstand like that.

That’s why setting the mood in the room right away is so important.

Anyway, for those reasons, Daesik finished about an hour of training and left me to descend the mountain.

My second disciple is expected to end the season stronger than before.

Judging by his form, he might reach Master again, and with some luck, he might even achieve the Grandmaster rank he’s dreamed of.

Either way, it’s a good thing. I also thought the name “Daesik” really didn’t fit with “Diamond.”

So Daesik went off to prove his training results by playing ranked games, leaving me alone now.

The current time was 1 a.m. I wasn’t sleepy, but I didn’t have anything to do.

In the end, there was only one thing for me to do.

I wasn’t planning to stream today, but you know how people’s moods change like reeds in the wind.

Since this was a free personal stream with no fixed schedule, I’d start and stop whenever I felt like it.

    ‘Morllu is live!’

    • Just streaming out of boredom

    [Molha]
[Molru, how are you so diligent?]
[Wow, you actually turned on the stream, I thought you wouldn’t]
[Love you Molru ㅠㅠ Love you Molru ㅠㅠ]
[Enjoyed seeing you beat up Daesik ^^]

    “Um… hello. It’s a beautiful night.”

So I just turned the stream on randomly without deciding what to do yet.

Since it was late at night, I didn’t plan on streaming long or playing any other games.

    “What should I do?”

I asked the viewers that, feeling a little worried someone might find it awkward that a streamer hadn’t prepared content and was asking the audience instead.

But that worry turned out to be unnecessary.

Everyone was just happy I turned the stream on.

It was cute how we all put our heads together, throwing out ideas one by one.

Sure, there must be streamers who broadcast daily without fail, but it’s impossible to prepare every day.

There have to be days like this.

I asked viewers to just blurt out whatever content they wanted me to do, no filter.

I was searching for ideas in the quickly scrolling chat.

Suddenly, the power of collective intelligence was unleashed.

Over ten thousand people brainstorming together was amazing.

Among the chat messages, something caught my interest.

“Phone dating? Should we try that?”

Content where the streamer calls a random viewer to have a conversation, basically just a phone call.

The problem is, since the viewer and streamer are both part of the content, if the viewer isn’t good on camera, it might get boring.

Sometimes it’s just awkward silence, the so-called “sudden awkwardness.”

It’s risky, but I wasn’t doing it for fun, just because I had nothing better to do.

    Also, I’d grown curious recently.

Meeting fans often made me wonder about the lives of those who regularly watch my streams, how they found my channel, and what they like about me.

I wanted to explore those things by talking with them through this opportunity.

[Date? Date? Date? Date? Date? Date? Date? Date?]
    [Calling at 1 a.m…? This is totally…]
    [Molru’s rental girlfriend content…]
[This lady is free of charge ㄷㄷ]
    [Free (calls) but actually paid]
[One in 15,000, tougher than a big company interview]
    [Can’t resist this lol]
[Please please please, oh gods, Allah, Buddha, Jesus, gods of all religions…]
    [Groan… broth is boiling…]

What I hadn’t expected was how much more enthusiastic the viewers were than I thought.

While everyone was raising their hands, I quietly set up my screen.

    • ‘Morllu is live!’

    -Molru’s Counseling Center

The content changed a bit. From phone dating to a counseling center where people talk about their worries.

I thought it would be more meaningful and easier to talk about real topics than just calling randomly.

Though it’s called a counseling center, I don’t actually solve their problems.

If I can give advice, I do, otherwise I just listen quietly.

And then came the very first guest.

    “Hello?”

“Hello, Molru? Can you hear me? Wow, awesome. Is this really Molru?”

    A high-pitched, overly excited boy.

His voice sounded like he had no real worries.

As I expected, among those who applied claiming to have worries, very few probably actually did.

They just wanted to talk to me.

Making a call is no big deal, but this was too unserious.

At least come with some worries.

“You don’t have worries, right? I’m hanging up.”

“No, no! Wait, I do have worries!”

    “What are they?”

Let’s hear what he has to say.

“I like Morllu so much it’s a problem.
I want to watch your stream all day and night, and when you stream late, I end up dozing off at school.
I even went to the awards ceremony. You’re really pretty in real life.”

“Yes, thank you. That’s quite a trivial worry. Solve it on your own.”

I ended the call and hovered my mouse over his nickname to ban him politely.

“Since you seem to be a student, I banned you to study hard. Stop watching my stream and study.”

    [Wow]
    [Justice served]
    [School lunch kids lolol]
[Ah lol everyone has that kind of worry]
[For real lol everyone here has that worry]
[If it was a proper worry you wouldn’t have gotten banned, just no effort]
[The host banning mercilessly is so clean]

It was after a couple of times when no real counseling-worthy worries came up.

    “Hello, Morllu…”

The moment I heard the dark tone in the male voice, I knew this time it was serious.

“Did you come with a worry?”

    “Please don’t laugh…”

    “Of course.”

There’s no way I’d laugh at someone’s serious worry. I told him not to worry and to go ahead, and he started to open up.

    “I’m, uh… an otaku.”

    Ahem, “Yes.”

    “Did you just laugh?”

“No, I just had a cough. Please continue.”

His tone saying “I’m an otaku…” after hesitating was so funny I burst out laughing for a moment.

Calm down, calm down. I shouldn’t laugh.

The person must have seriously struggled before telling me.

    “I got caught at school…”

The story of this boy, short or long, ended. I couldn’t tell from his voice, but he was a high school student.

He said he enjoyed watching my streams but also regularly watched various anime, manga, light novels.

The problem was that the fact got out at school.

Recently, some scary delinquent friends heard rumors and found the light novels he was hiding in his bag.

    “Is it a serious situation?”
“No, not really. I’m not being dragged away to get beaten, just teased. But I’m embarrassed…”

So basically, he became a public clown.

Fortunately, the scary delinquents only tease him in a lighthearted way.

He said he can’t stand the embarrassment.

[Why did you let that get out at school?]
[I hid mine so well when I was in school]
[But is this the right thing to consult Morllu about?]
[For real, would Molyeonjin sympathize with this?]
[Better if he doesn’t get zapped by Godegi]

Actually, otakus are now common around us. They’re not as rare as before. In short, nothing to be ashamed of.

“Ah, I got it. I’ll give you a solution.”

    “What is it?”

    “You have to enjoy it.”

    “Huh?”

I said confidently to his confused question.

“Hiding this kind of thing only makes it worse.
If you try to avoid it, they do it even more because it’s fun.
You have to face it proudly. Cheerfully.
Like, ‘I’m an otaku, so what?’ Something like that.”

    “…That sounds really hard.”

“Try it once. You’ll get teased less than when you’re embarrassed.”

    [Is this really the solution?]
[So climb the mountain of cheerfulness]
    [Transfer to pro otaku, yes]
    [Sounds reasonable?]
[No way, it’ll just spread rumors more]
[Go big or go home, worth trying maybe?]

After talking with me and reading the chat reactions, the boy seemed a bit encouraged.

“Thank you. I’ll try it like you said.”

    “Good luck!”

I sent him off with a short cheer. It’ll be fine, right? Even if it doesn’t go well, that’s just how youth is.

    [And another one leaves…]
[You killed him, you killed him, you killed him]
[Is he now the school-wide otaku?]
    [Just Morllu’s beloved toy]
[Sent him off totally, poor guy…]

“Sent him off? What nonsense are you talking about, guys?”
