    Cleaning

    Cleaning

    Cleaning

… Being able to mate twice as much.

I sighed at Luna’s perhaps most Luna-like exclamation and looked down at her.

‘I wonder how much this one likes mating.’

Thinking that it might be because of her animal form, her desire for reproduction seems quite strong.

As I was sighing and shaking my head.

Luna, as if remembering something, licks her hand and says.

[That’s right, Master. Since there are two bodies, you can handle two at once!]

    Handle two at once?

I was keeping my mouth shut when I felt like I was about to understand something but couldn’t quite grasp it.

Ember, who had been listening to this conversation in front of me, speaks to me in a voice that shows she doesn’t understand.

“What on earth are you talking about?”

It’s difficult for me to explain this.

Thinking it would be better to just ignore it, I didn’t answer directly and instead said to Ember.

“Earlier, I asked if I would return to my original body.”

    “Ah… yes!”

“It’s not certain, but there’s a high probability that I won’t go back.”

As if my answer was unexpected, Ember blinks and stares at me.

I meet Ember’s gaze and briefly say.

“Of course, it might not be the case, so don’t worry too much about it.”

‘If I were to return to Earth,’ I would go back to my original body.

If I don’t return, I would remain in Deren’s body.

‘The reason is simple, if I were to return to Earth in Deren’s body, it would create an impossible situation.’

In any case, my original body has some things built up, and above all, it has an identity, so living wouldn’t be too difficult.

‘If I choose Deren’s body, that wouldn’t be the case.’

There was a high probability of being subjected to all kinds of surveillance or penalties due to not being recognized as a legitimate identity.

So, if there was a high chance of returning to Earth, choosing the original body would be ideal.

‘The reason I said I’d remain in Deren’s body is simply because there are two bodies left in this world.’

In addition to my already aged physical body, the very existence of that body in this world.

I was saying that there’s a high chance of staying in Deren because I doubted whether they would normally send me back to Earth even if I saw the ending.

    ‘Well, it’s just speculation anyway.’

While I was sighing inwardly, deciding to make a decision depending on the situation.

Ember glanced at me cautiously and slowly said.

“Now that you’ve captured the Archbishop, the Heaven God Cult will use every means to try to catch you, Hero.”

Since that was the case even when I caught the Bishop, it wasn’t a particularly special statement.

As I nodded without much emotion.

Ember sighed and continued speaking to me.

“So I was going to say that you need to be especially careful. Honestly, such advice is probably meaningless to someone who single-handedly captured the Archbishop without a scratch.”

    I nodded slightly.

Ember made an expression as if not knowing what to say, then awkwardly smiled.

Sighing, she hugged the large book tightly and slowly continued speaking.

“Anyway, if you need any help, please let me know anytime.”

At those words, I nodded and decided to head home now, after taking care of the Archbishop.

    * * *

When I returned home, the first thing I saw was Rumi wearing a maid outfit.

I’m not sure if she likes the maid outfit or if she’s wearing it because of some strange mindset that she needs to serve me.

Thinking it’s a bit embarrassing every time I see it, I was slowly walking to the lab when Rumi called out to me.

    “Deren!”

Just like a dog wagging its tail vigorously when welcoming you home after going out.

Rumi approaches me quickly and calls out to me in a similar way.

I was a bit flustered by that illusion and stared at Rumi, who grinned and said to me.

“Aren’t you hungry? The food the chef made this time is so delicious, I hope Deren can taste it soon… Oh, if you’re tired, maybe you should rest first and then later…”

She had so much to say, bringing up countless stories without pause.

As I listened to her words, I silently stared at Rumi.

Rumi glanced at me nervously, hesitated for a moment, and then spoke to me with an anxious expression.

“Um… I also cleaned the laboratory. So, if you like it, could you… praise me?”

It seems the reason she was waiting here was to receive praise for her cleaning.

Well, if that’s the case, I could do it right away.

‘But praising her without seeing the lab would be meaningless praise.’

Deciding to praise her after checking how clean the lab had become, I nodded.

    “I’ll do that.”

Rumi nodded with sparkling eyes, apparently having cleaned quite diligently.

I thought that if this could provide Rumi with some mental comfort, that would be enough, and slowly started walking.

    *

It was hard to believe I had just come from battling on top of countless deaths.

The current atmosphere was so peaceful and calm that it made me chuckle ironically.

‘Well, this is much better… but it’s so different that it’s funny.’

As I watched Rumi humming a tune and leading me,

I was thinking that it’s certainly because of situations like this that I can mentally endure,

When Luna, who was in my arms, jumped onto Rumi’s shoulder and said.

[Want me to tell you something good?]

    “Is that good?”

[Yes! It means the master can mate twice as much!]

I couldn’t help but hold my head in my hands as I watched Luna spreading strange stories in front of me.

I don’t know if it’s because the first subject she imitated was a cat.

Because she threw human common sense to the dogs, everything she said was a headache.

‘Maybe silencing her would be a good choice.’

I was seriously considering learning related magic.

I noticed Rumi suddenly startled and shouting something loudly at Luna.

    “W-what are you saying?”

[Rumi is stupid. Having twice as much means having two bodies, right?]

“Ah, I know that… But what do you mean by twice?”

[If there are two, can’t you do it twice as much?]

    “… No. I think that’s a bit different from what you’re saying.”

    [Is that so!?]

As I listened to their conversation that was making me dizzy, I was holding my forehead.

Rumi seemed to have a good idea cross her mind.

She asks Luna one question in a rather serious voice.

“Um… Can you move both bodies at the same time?”

[I don’t know about that. But why?]

“If they move simultaneously… I’ll have to take care of both of them at the same time later. So I want to learn housework even more diligently.”

At those words, Luna’s eyes widened and her tail stood up straight.

Then, as if in admiration, she looked at Rumi and said.

[Rumi is a genius…! She’s trying to mate with two people at once.]

    “……?”

I couldn’t hide my laughter as I watched Rumi being teased by Luna.

It was painful when it happened to me, but from a third-person perspective, there was nothing more entertaining than watching someone else suffer.

‘From now on, it’s better not to talk directly and just throw it to the others.’

Then Luna would naturally deal with the others.

As I was feeling satisfied thinking that Luna finally had a use.

Rumi shouted urgently with her face turning bright red.

“It’s not like that! I… I haven’t done anything, so even one person is too much for me.”

[But isn’t it better with two people at the same time?]

    “… Oh, is that so?”

[Yes, yes. Look, just like it’s better to get two snacks instead of one. Wouldn’t it be better to deal with two people?!]

Seeing Rumi gradually falling for such nonsense, I thought it would be good to intervene.

While grabbing Luna, I said to Rumi.

“It’s all nonsense, so ignore it.”

    “… Y-yes.”

Rumi seemed to have just realized that I had been listening to this entire conversation.

She closed her eyes tightly, with an expression on the verge of fainting from embarrassment.

I looked at Rumi like that and thought about saying some words of comfort, but.

‘I shouldn’t try to comfort her, it might make the situation worse.’

I was just about to pretend not to notice and act as if nothing happened.

But Rumi, perhaps finding it more painful to pretend not to notice in this situation, began to speak with a bright red face.

“I-If that’s what Deren wants, I’ll t-try my best. I’ve practiced one-on-one, but I’ve never even thought about handling two people at once… Not that there’s anything wrong with that… I’m not saying Deren’s preferences are bad or anything…!”

She started blurting out strange things as if her mind had collapsed.

After listening to her for a moment, I decided it would be better to ignore it, so I turned my head and said.

“Then let’s check on the cleaning.”

As I opened the door to the lab to see how clean it was, what I saw was.

Espin lying seductively on the desk, wearing only black underwear.
