Criminal Rights? Why Should I Care About That.

Criminal Rights? Why Should I Care About That.

The last week for Fran was nothing short of hell.

Every day, she wakes up, exercises, and eats poison.

Then, she gets the poison extracted with acupuncture, regains her energy, and exercises again.

After collapsing like dried fish, she gets injected with a special drug and undergoes combat training.

    Special drug. Alpha.

A lump of debuffs made by mixing all kinds of ingredients with a drug base.

Debuff resistance reduces side effects but also affects efficacy.

Ability control to extract maximum efficiency. That was the task given to me.

If control fails, all kinds of debuffs enter the body, making it painful enough to die.

So she eats food full of debuffs normally to build resistance.

    “Can’t we just use drugs?”

“Drugs have limits too. And drugs are just resistance, not immunity.”

I asked if mixing other ingredients makes it a drug anyway, but they say it’s distinctly different.

If monster parts are used as the main ingredient, the original debuffs are maintained.

If it undergoes numerous processes or many other ingredients are added, it turns into a drug, they say.

“Isn’t this a violation of labor laws?”

    “This much is legal.”

    It clearly seems illegal though.

“It’s good that Fran is following along well. Honestly, I thought you’d run away in the middle.”

“If you knew that, couldn’t you have reduced it a bit?”

“It’s because there’s only Fran for now. Later, when there are more people, I won’t have time to help with training.”

Most of my training is conducted by Tia.

Song Haran helps too, but only when Tia has other things to do.

Yet, Tia doesn’t sweat a single drop.

    She’s clearly human like me.

‘They say S-rank and above are beings that transcend humanity.’

Can they control all physiological phenomena too?

Come to think of it, I haven’t seen her going to the bathroom either.

“Ah. We have our first mission tonight.”

“Team Leader? You’re telling me this now!”

“It’s something that came up urgently, just decided now.”

Are things normally decided this urgently?

    ‘There’s no way!’

If it weren’t for the large sum of money deposited in my account, I’d run away immediately.

No, wait. Since everyone knows I’ve joined Team Execution, it would be difficult to get a job elsewhere too.

“I’ve prepared all the clothes and equipment. Since there’s a mission, let’s skip the afternoon training.”

    “Under…stood.”

Right. It can’t be easy for someone who has nothing to live receiving a large sum of money.

No matter how hard the training is, I have to endure it.

“This is the outfit you’ll wear today.”

… Wearing such a revealing dress isn’t part of the training, right?

“You need to know how to wear any kind of clothes.”

    I miss my mom.

    Bang-

A man gets hit hard by Fran’s axe and crashes into the wall.

    Battle Axe. Non-lethal mode.

For those whose crimes aren’t certain yet, it changes to a suppression weapon with no blade and flowing paralytic poison.

“He should collapse when touched. Seems stronger than expected.”

It’s a poison that can neutralize up to B-rank.

    Does he have resistance?

-Isn’t it usually electricity for suppression?

-Already strange that it’s a suppression axe

-Shouldn’t we be worried about him crashing into the wall?

The drug is a bit strong, but not enough to kill a person.

    ‘Abilities are really unfair.’

Some people struggled tremendously in another world due to their poor versatility abilities.

    “Uhuhuhu.”

-Fran seems to have lost it.

-Is it really a safe drug?

    -She’s so different from usual.

“It’s just that reducing fear has slightly increased her fighting spirit.”

What’s the issue? It’s not like it’s your first time seeing a berserker.

It’s this good because of the quality of the drug. If made elsewhere, her brain would already have a hole.

I left Fran and moved to the innermost room.

A room where items are placed as if used, but there’s no human warmth.

I should just guard here until Fran finishes.

“Let’s have a brief communication time.”

-Your team member is fighting outside?

-Is this the world’s 31st ranked, the Judge?

-I can hear applicants backing out.

-Please tell us about your previous world.

“Ah. I said I’d tell you in the next broadcast, right?”

    -Excited excited excited

    -The secret will be revealed.

“But the mood isn’t good, so I’ll tell you after finishing this case.”

    -Set it on fire!!!

    -This is ranked 31st?

    -Don’t bullshit, don’t bullshit

“Then, I’ll just tell one other story first.”

-She learned how to train viewers in just one broadcast.

-She lives well without broadcasts, so we have no way to win.

-Being trained by noona might not be bad.

    “It’s all necessary talk.”

    People are so impatient.

“Most criminals I handle are people who have committed capital crimes. It’s a simple job—just go and shoot, that’s it.”

    -Simple?

-She’s ranked 31st. Her way of thinking is different from ours.

“Korea is different from before. Putting aside whether they’ve committed capital crimes, there’s a severe shortage of population.”

The people I’ve killed until now are those who make crime their main job. Or places where people are overflowing even if some die.

Unfortunately, Korea still hasn’t overcome its population shortage even after 20 years.

With gates opening, the global population has decreased, so what about Korea, which was already declining?

    Baby boom after a war?

That requires young people for a boom to occur.

Korea, which was already an aging society, didn’t experience a baby boom, and immigration policies weren’t properly implemented.

“I judged that killing everyone is unreasonable. But if everyone goes to prison, there’s not enough tax revenue.”

The three methods I thought of.

    Forced labor and collection.

Impose heavy fines to deplete their money and make them work so they can’t think of anything else.

“If they have a lot of money, all of it goes to taxes, and if not, they have to take on dirty work.”

    -Does that much work?

    -Honestly, it’s petty.

    -I want a heavier punishment.

“There’s still a third method. This might have some human rights issues.”

To talk about this, I need to talk about the world I lived in.

“The world I was in was a world where death didn’t exist.”

A space where various races from different worlds like martial arts, vampires, and androids gathered.

Even if organisms died, they would resurrect in less than a day.

People who sold their bodies appeared, and killing for incorrect calculations was common.

People viewed the non-dying life as a curse and called that world Space Debris.

“All I learned living in that world were barbaric methods like how to inflict pain without killing a person, how to break someone’s will and make them move as I want.”

    -????

    -Are you a torture technician?

-Don’t tell me the last method is?

-There will be human rights issues.

“Human rights is not a word that suits those who have harmed humans.”

    Creak-

Just then, Fran, who had finished subduing, opened the door.

I’ll tell more stories next time; this much will do for today.

    “All rooms, suppression is complete.”

“Good job. Now let’s go to the last room.”

I took out the red longsword, Lævateinn, and cut the wall.

“Inside this room, hidden by mana barriers, wave disguise devices, and many other devices, what’s happening?”

Efforts to hide are visible, but this side is a person who has found even the secret hideouts of large gangs.

If I can’t find a secret space in an entertainment establishment, the souls of the villains I’ve killed would be unable to achieve peace due to resentment.

‘My shoulders are already heavy these days.’

We slowly moved to the hidden room.

I don’t know if they were confident they wouldn’t be discovered, or if they thought it was safer inside, but everyone being gathered makes it convenient.

    “I wonder who’s inside.”

As we get closer to the room, a terrible smell wafts out, and obscene sounds can be heard.

What’s happening inside is obvious without looking.

“You probably can’t hear it on the broadcast, but there are many moans coming from inside.”

“… I’ll just trust you, Team Leader.”

Fran seems to have realized that we’re disturbing a large beehive.

‘But I’m like a bear or badger that eats all the bees.’

No matter how big, they’re just bees.

More importantly, has the drug effect worn off?

    Why is she so scared?

“Since victims might appear on screen, I’ll blur it for a moment.”

There are no guards in front of the door.

I guess guards aren’t needed since it’s over once discovered.

    Bang-

Entering by kicking the door hard, I fired the pistol toward the ceiling.

“I am Tia from R.A. You are all caught in the act and under arrest. If you move, you will be executed immediately on the spot.”

More than 20 people looking at me with surprised expressions.

Boys and girls who look underage at a glance.

    Balding men with protruding bellies.

    Women with wrinkled skin.

Shirtless young men high on drugs.

Notable celebrities include one member of the National Assembly and an executive from a medium-sized guild.

A man who works as an actor and hunter.

“What’s going on! They said it’s safe here!”

    “Fuck. Why is she here.”

    “Let’s escap-“

    [Activate]

    Bang-

The head of the National Assembly member who tried to escape bursts, and blood splatters everywhere.

“I told you. Run and you’ll be executed.”

In my hand was a huge pistol, different from the toys used until now.

    Length 40cm, weight 15kg

    Name, Jackal.

It can easily blow off a human head.

Since the pot-bellied one can’t be used for labor, just kill him and collect money, that’s it.

“Better wake up from dreaming of escaping from me. From the moment you caught my eye, your right to life and death belongs to me.”

    Bang-

The leg of the guild executive, who was preparing for spatial movement, bursts.

    “Arghh”

“Did you think you could escape with that?”

    Bang-

The woman, whose other leg was also torn off, couldn’t bear the pain and fainted.

“Fuck. This is a human rights violation. Did we commit capital crimes!”

“Why do you think not? I’d like to hear the reason.”

“I didn’t kill anyone. So why should I die!”

    Bang-

I blew up between the legs of the remaining actor.

He lost consciousness without enduring even a single shot.

“It’s okay. You won’t die. It’s just painful enough to make you wish you were dead.”
