Chapter 119.2
by AfuhfuihgsThe Do-hwa Group members formed ranks around Se-Ah, sending a shiver down Woo-jin’s spine.
“They brought just fifty people, huh…!”
Standing beside Woo-jin in front of the breached wall, Goliath sneered as he looked at Se-Ah and the members of the Do-hwa Group.
“Do they really think they can take on this body with just that many!? Don’t underestimate me, you pathetic trash…!”
“Watch their eyes. All of them might be able to use the same powers as Lee Se-Ah.”
“Hmph! No need for lengthy explanations…! I’ve already figured that much out…!”
“Glad to hear it.”
Woo-jin extended his right arm toward Se-Ah, while Goliath extended his left. From their hands, magic imbued with their unique abilities surged forth.
*Crack!!*
“…!”
A massive fissure appeared in the sky once again.
A similar fissure opened below ground, swallowing up the debris, rocks, and dirt that littered the surface.
All those elements were expelled from the fissure in the sky.
The earth fell once more.
Endlessly.
*Boom!!!*
But that wasn’t all.
From the fissure Woo-jin had created in the sky, fierce gravity emerged. The falling debris accelerated rapidly, and the smaller pieces reached speeds comparable to bullets.
One after another, Goliath wrapped each piece of debris with intense gravitational force. Anything that touched them would be crushed and destroyed.
Each falling piece became a deadly weapon.
Anyone caught within the range of Woo-jin’s skyborne lightning strike would certainly perish.
But Se-Ah wasn’t easy prey.
“Are you trying to sweep everything away at once, thinking it might be dangerous…?”
Despite the strong gravitational force trying to pull her down, Se-Ah remained afloat. The red magic generated a counterforce of equal strength in the opposite direction of the gravity.
Fate Recalibration, Type 2: “Law Reconfiguration.”
She restructured the laws that governed the gravitational phenomena Goliath had unleashed.
As if rewriting the natural order.
“This power is beyond reach….”
Goliath’s gravity was too overwhelming to alter on a large scale. Despite possessing formidable authority, Se-Ah’s body couldn’t produce enough output to contend with the dense concentration of magic.
This was evidence of just how powerful Goliath was.
The Do-hwa Group members, while benefiting from Se-Ah’s assistance, still struggled to fully withstand Goliath’s power, as their movements remained restricted.
*Crack!!*
*Boom!!!*
Numerous fissures formed around Se-Ah, and from each fissure, massive bolts of lightning surged.
Se-Ah anticipated the angles of the fissures, detected the magic, and dodged, but the lightning pursued her relentlessly.
In response, Se-Ah reached out toward the oncoming lightning.
*Swoosh!*
Suddenly, the Spatial Thunderstrike reversed direction before gradually dissipating. The trajectory of the lightning had been altered.
Once again, it was Law Reconfiguration at work.
‘Recalibration ability… What’s the condition?’
Woo-jin pondered as he teleported between the falling debris.
‘She used it on someone dead during the first semester to alter the fact that they had died, and now she’s using it on my lightning and the falling objects. She’s not directly affecting me or Goliath. So contact isn’t a condition.’
Woo-jin quickly reached a conclusion.
‘She can’t use it on living beings.’
For now, it seemed unlikely that she could easily manipulate the movements of Woo-jin and Goliath.
‘She can’t control the fissures either… Maybe she can’t alter the concept of my spatial teleportation, or perhaps she can’t handle the magic contained within the wormholes.’
Every time he teleported, Woo-jin traversed wormholes, which Geumyang had previously described as regions densely packed with an absurd amount of magic.
Even Se-Ah’s authority would likely find it difficult to handle.
*Crack!*
Woo-jin and Goliath used a new fissure to rapidly close the distance to Se-Ah.
They charged her from both sides, aiming the Iron Dragon Staff and fists at her.
As if waiting for this, Do-hwa Group members lunged in to shield Se-Ah, taking the blows meant for her.
*Crash!!*
The struck members were sent flying at incredible speeds, smashing into various locations.
Meanwhile, Se-Ah extended her arms toward Woo-jin and Goliath. Red magic surged up, silently creeping toward the two like an assassin.
A sense of danger stabbed Woo-jin in the spine. He deployed a fissure he had prepared in advance for retreat, using it to teleport himself and Goliath away.
“This feels rude to say, but you two are like rats. That could have ended it just now.”
The power of the Reverse World.
Genetic manipulation.
Had they been hit, Woo-jin and Goliath’s bodies would likely have been grotesquely warped.
The members of the Do-hwa Group spread their wings and surged forward. Each time Woo-jin and Goliath emerged from a fissure, they were met with relentless assaults, resulting in ongoing skirmishes.
Se-Ah then flew toward Woo-jin, igniting another clash.
With her body fortified by red magic, Se-Ah’s lightest swings produced eerie cracking noises, creating explosive shockwaves that battered Woo-jin with intense pressure.
Her power easily surpassed Tier 7; the force of her attacks shattered Woo-jin’s bones.
However, whenever Woo-jin was in danger, Goliath would strike back, sending Se-Ah flying with a gravity-infused punch.
Debris falling toward Se-Ah would be further accelerated and empowered, making it impossible for her to deflect them with her recalibration ability.
Each time, Se-Ah dodged swiftly, using her wings to evade.
Conversely, when Goliath was in peril, Woo-jin would generate a fissure to extract him or launch multiple Spatial Thunderstrikes at Se-Ah.
“You two work quite well together.”
Amid the chaotic, destructive battle, Se-Ah sneered in annoyance.
Meanwhile, members of the Do-hwa Group continued to swarm Woo-jin and Goliath with their attacks.
‘They all have physical abilities comparable to Lee Se-Ah.’
Se-Ah, wielding the powers of the Reverse World, possessed physical abilities far surpassing Tier 7.
The Do-hwa Group members she controlled were no different. Although they didn’t quite match Se-Ah in strength, they were still formidable, with physical prowess threatening even at Tier 7 levels.
*Slash!*
However, as the fight wore on, their bodies began to crack, and blood splattered. Despite being reinforced by red magic, they couldn’t fully withstand the strain.
Their expressions were all devoid of emotion.
There was no feeling in their faces.
They were like marionettes.
With so many rushing at once, Woo-jin found it increasingly overwhelming.
*Crack!*
Woo-jin and Goliath entered a fissure together, arriving within the same wormhole.
Woo-jin had deliberately brought Goliath along.
“Hah, hah….”
Woo-jin clutched the area around his fractured ribs, struggling to catch his breath.
“Fighting without making eye contact is harder than I thought.”
There’s an old saying: the eyes are the windows to the soul.
In all the battles Woo-jin had fought, the movements of his enemies’ eyes had been crucial in predicting their intentions.
But against Se-Ah and the Do-hwa Group members, making eye contact was out of the question.
Additionally, Se-Ah’s enhanced physical abilities meant even her lightest swings generated gales of wind.
Without needing to exert much effort, she could deliver powerful blows, making it exceedingly difficult for Woo-jin to read her movements.
Moreover, the force behind Se-Ah’s strikes was too overwhelming for even Tier 7 physical strength to withstand.
“Grrr…!”
Goliath was also injured, but he grinned, enjoying the fight.
“Isn’t this thrilling? When else would we get to experience something like this? It’s refreshing…! Haha!!”
“You damn bastard, always so damn positive.”
Woo-jin smirked.
“If we can’t stop Lee Se-Ah, it’s over. She’s not going to sit idle now that her power’s been exposed. She’s definitely going to take some action.”
“I’m well aware…! There’s no way I’m losing. I’m taking down that trash…!”
Goliath chuckled and cracked his knuckles, his competitive spirit blazing.
“They said they’d try to deal with Se-Ah’s power source on the other side. No guarantee they’ll succeed, but we’ve got to hope for the best.”
“If that fails, I’ll use my ultimate technique…!”
“Go ahead, make a scene. I’ll cover you.”
“Cover? You, cover me?”
Goliath, rather than getting angry, looked at Woo-jin with intrigued eyes.
“And you, cover me.”
“Haha! You punk, you say the most amusing things…!”
“Let’s go.”
Woo-jin and Goliath exited the wormhole together, charging once more toward Se-Ah.
