Chapter 116: To Build a Sky Forest Garden

After promising to visit Koharu’s house when it was finished, Leah parted ways.

    • Extorting as soon as she arrives lol

    • Bows are hard to make early on ㅜㅜ

    • Why is Koharu so insistent on Leah visiting her house??

    • Leah must have a hypnosis app…

“It fits my hand well. I can feel this bow is happy to have found an owner who can wield it properly.”

    • Did she just say owner…?

    • She really has no intention of returning it lol

“Considering Koharu’s generosity, I must use it well. Shall we head outside the village?”

Leah followed the path out of the village. The moment the paved road ended, the scenery changed completely.

Unfamiliar ground, a mix of dirt and gravel.

Deep green leaves swayed in the wind amidst the silence.

Her vision filled with a scene of dense undergrowth, isolated hills, and small cave entrances scattered haphazardly.

Though separate from the village, Leah always felt more at ease in the forest.

    And so, hours passed.

She ventured deep into the forest.

Pushing through untamed bushes, climbing hills, and sliding down small cliffs.

    Combat itself wasn’t difficult.

Her hand holding the bow never wavered, and she was never truly threatened.

    However, that was all.
    The forest was strangely quiet.

There weren’t many monsters or prey animals.

Even when she did find some, the rewards for defeating them were disappointingly meager.

She did stumble upon a suspicious ruin at one point.

A place that seemed like a dilapidated dungeon, or perhaps a place where someone had hidden something.

But it was inactive for now.

Naturally, her contribution level barely increased.

“The hunting results aren’t very good.”

    • Hmm, her physical abilities are good, but lol

    • Not many monster spawns. Did the monsters get a Leah warning?

    • ???: Yo, a crazy b*tch is on a rampage, stay hidden.

    • But seriously, she’s not getting anything…

    • Shouldn’t she at least get a chest or something? lol

    • There’s something about that ruin, but it seems the unlock conditions haven’t been met yet.

    • This is right, barbarians running around with bows should be left behind lol

    • This is the victory of civilization.

    • There’s a reason other people are holed up underground lol

    • Physical-only carry failed ㅜㅜ

    • Live honestly, Leah, honestly.

“I’m running low on arrows… Unfortunately, I think we should head back to the village.”

Just then, a faint presence, different from the rustling of leaves, mingled with the air.

    Footsteps?

    No. Something softer, lighter.

A fleeting sensation, like starlight grazing the ground.

    “…That’s.”

A briefly shimmering shadow was caught at the edge of her vision.

Deep navy fur speckled like a galaxy.
A small cat. But its movements were more agile than a human’s.
The moment their eyes met, it vanished.
And a distracting, tactile sensation flowed along the periphery of her vision.

    “Confusing technique. However.”

    Leah nocked an arrow.

Inhaling, she read the flow of air around her.

    “I can catch it.”

    • Hey hey hey hey hey hey!!!

    • Stop!!! That’s a rare pet!!!

    • Don’t shoot! Don’t catch it!!!!

    • Isn’t that a Lunata??

    • Leah, it has star patterns! It’s a pet, a pet!

    • Spotting it at a glance is legendary lol

    “A pet…?”

She tilted her head slightly, and the tip of the cat’s tail shimmered once more.

“If it has stealth abilities… I need to look for sounds and traces, not rely on sight.”

Leah lowered her bow and followed, muffling her footsteps.

The rustling of leaves changing with each step. The angle of swaying branches.
And the small vibrations spreading through the thick undergrowth.

    • Can she even hear anything…?

    • I don’t even know if she’s following it properly lol

    • To tame a Lunata, don’t you just have to wait for it to approach you??

    “Here.”

In a single, fluid motion, she raised her bow, aimed, and released the arrow.

    • ???

    • Ah… ahhh…

    • Looks like she got pissed from tracking lol

    • If I can’t have it, I’ll destroy it…

    Whoosh—

The arrow grazed a vine in front of a leafy bridge where the cat would likely step. A familiar movement, a trajectory predicted based on even the echoes of sound.

The vine snapped, and the Lunata’s path was cut off.

As if recalculating its route, it perked up its ears and cautiously changed direction.

Now, there was only one path left. It had no choice but to descend through a narrow crevice in the cliff.

Leah took a detour and descended ahead of it.

Landing softly, she knelt on one knee and waited.

    “I’ve been waiting for you.”

    The Lunata stopped, facing her.

It stared at her hesitantly for a moment, then quietly took a step forward. And carefully nestled itself at her knee.

[🐾 Lunata has recognized you as a ‘safe being’.]
[🐱 Lunata allows you to accompany it.]

    • Wow, I thought she was just hunting it.

    • A warning shot from the kitty’s perspective lol

    • First time seeing a Lunata caught like that lol

    • Probably gave up running because it sensed Leah’s aura.

On the way back to the village with her new cat, arguably the biggest achievement of the day, her Pias made a request.

    “You’re saying I need a name tag?”

    • Yeah, you need one to name it.

    • You might find one in a chest?

“Then I’ll give it a name now and officially change it when I get the item.”

    • That statement…

    • We could have waited lol

    • Something big coming? Something big coming? Something big coming?

    • I wonder how witty Leah’s name will be…

    • Ah lol preparing to laugh my ss off lol

    • Just woke up my sleeping parents and brought them here lol

    • thump thump thump thump

For some reason, regardless of the stream, viewers always seemed to have excessive expectations for ‘naming things.’

Leah glanced down at the pet beside her. It tilted its head.

Rare pet or not, it wasn’t a spirit. It was just a cat, right? Then…

    “I’ll call it Bisik.”

    • Ah……..

    • So lame.

    • Ha… I genuinely sighed.

    • My parents just slapped me…

    • Not even Bisil, what is that?

    • Boo~ Boo~ Boo~

“It’s an abbreviation. I think it suits it.”

    • An abbreviation of what?

    • Don’t tell me… It can’t be…

    • Emergency…?

    • Run away, Lunata ㅜ.ㅜ

    • That name is seriously too much lol

As Leah entered the village, she ran into senior Miya and Karen.

“Kyaaa! What’s that next to you?”

“Wow… I’m the only one without a cat.”

After explaining how she’d acquired Bisik to the two, who showed great interest, Leah parted ways and resumed her search for a place to build her house.

After circling the village area, she chose a spot slightly away from the center.

“This place feels both the energy of the forest and the flow of the village.”

It was a spot where the village seemed to halfway encroach on the forest.

“I want to build… a garden in the forest where spirits can rest. A small sanctuary atop a giant tree. Rope bridges connected by vines. A place where the wind lingers, and starlight can be heard.”

Confident in hunting but clueless about construction, she described her dream house as concretely as possible. To receive help from her Pias.

    • You can grow a giant tree by planting four saplings.

    • You’ll need bone meal for growth acceleration.

    • Her dreams are big lol Growing a tree isn’t the end of it.

    • She’ll need a ton of metal and crystals too lol

    • Materials… she needs to gather them, right?

    • If she hadn’t wasted time hunting…

    • You got Bisik, let’s celebrate~

    • Time to go mining.

“…It can’t be helped. Shall we go gather some materials?”

    • Of course, you can’t avoid mining in Voxel.

    • Succumbing to the allure of big, shiny gems…

    • Elf corruption.

Leah quickened her pace towards her destination. A large, pristine white building on the east side of the village. Next to the entrance was a cat paw-shaped bell cover. It seemed to reflect the cat-like traits of its owner. The three first-generation seniors, one fewer than the second and third generations, all had animal-related RP.

A wooden sign was attached to the outer wall.

    <Hazuki Ena>

Inside, there were signs of ongoing construction, but certain areas were neatly organized.

Leah headed towards the area with shelves, chests, and storage modules.

“Flint… This is a material for arrows. I’m low on arrows, so this will be useful… I’ll take some wood too… What metal did you say I needed?”

    • What is she doing?

    • Weren’t you going mining?

“I’m just gathering materials… for now.”

    • Gathering materials???

    • Ah, she didn’t say she’d gather them herself lol

    • It was so natural, I didn’t realize what she was doing until now lol

    • Seriously sticky fingers?

    • Thief! Thief!!!

“Wait, listen. I said I wouldn’t destroy nature, I didn’t say I wouldn’t salvage traces of already destroyed nature. This is… recycling. I’m returning the byproducts of discarded life to the most natural space possible. Namely, my forest garden.”

    • Lol

    • Excuse me… how thick is your skin?

    • “Why mine when you can steal?” is the motto… Crime is her lifestyle.

    • It’s so absurd, it’s funny lol

    • She’s seriously fearless lol Just taking stuff from a first-generation senior.

    • That’s right… It’s best if Leah takes it.

    • She’s giving meaning to already exploited resources, right? I’m touched…

    • There are dangerous people among us… people brainwashed by her sophistry…

    • Leah definitely has a hypnosis app.
