Chapter 115 – Rule 31: Leader Restores Order in Academy City (17)

    “We’ve met before, haven’t we?”

A girl in a nun’s habit, Son Ye-seo of Spartoi, stepped forward in front of the Head Principal, hands clasped together in a prayer-like gesture.

    Woo-jin glared at Ye-seo.

“Aren’t you being too violent? The Lord would be sad to see this.”

“The Lord would puke if He saw the piece of trash you serve.”

“Oh my, foul language. No bad words.”

Ye-seo puffed her cheeks in mock displeasure.

    Then, Ye-seo’s eyes widened.

Before she even realized it, Woo-jin was already right in front of her.

The speed of a 7th Tier who had strengthened their body far surpassed that of Ye-seo, who was at the 6th Tier.

    *Crackle!*

The Iron Dragon Staff, wrapped in lightning, swung.

    *Boom!*

With a burst of electrical shockwaves, Ye-seo’s body was shattered and sent flying.

*Crash!* Ye-seo’s body was hurled against the wall, and her shattered form spilled blood.

    ‘What just happened…? Ah.’

Ye-seo quickly regained her senses, clasping her hands together and emitting silver magic that matched the color of her eyes.

But she was given no chance to counterattack.

    “……!”

    Ye-seo realized it too late.

As if anticipating her every move, a crack had already formed above her head.

    Ye-seo looked up.

    Immediately.

    *Rumble!!*

    “Gah…!”

The floor beneath her collapsed, and Ye-seo’s body began to plummet.

At each level she fell through, Woo-jin caused cracks to consume the floors, one after another.

    “What…!?”

As a result, Ye-seo plummeted from the tall Central Tower.

‘I need to use elemental magic to escape…! What!?’

    Ye-seo’s escape was not permitted.

A magic missile was launched from the crack above her, aimed directly at her.

It was part of the Center Area’s final defense sequence. The most threatening missile that had been fired by the main artillery was diverted by Woo-jin.

The Center Area, tasked with defending the Head Principal and the city’s core, boasted the highest-quality munitions Neo Seoul’s military industry could produce.

One shot of that missile was sure to inflict fatal damage on Ye-seo.

    It was too fast.

    Impossible to dodge.

    *Boom!!!*

The missile struck Ye-seo, triggering a powerful magical explosion.

Sensing the blast, Woo-jin created a crack around the explosion, sending the impact far away.

    *Boom!!!!*

    A distant, thunderous noise echoed.

    Ye-seo’s magic dissipated.

She was either unconscious or dead.

It could only be one of the two.

    Woo-jin didn’t know Ye-seo’s unique ability.

    But it didn’t matter.

There was no way she could win anyway.

“Beaten just like that, so pathetically….”

The Head Principal let out a deep sigh.

Ye-seo was undoubtedly one of Neo Seoul’s strongest.

To the Head Principal, this was a disheartening result.

With that, the Central Tower’s forces were annihilated.

Only Woo-jin and the Head Principal remained.

    Woo-jin approached the Head Principal.

“I always wondered who would be the one to take my life… I never thought it would be you.”

As the Head Principal attempted to start a conversation in a calm voice—

    *Smash!*

    *Crack!*

    “Gahh!!”

Woo-jin swung the Iron Dragon Staff down hard, crushing the Head Principal’s thigh and shattering her wheelchair.

The Head Principal grimaced in pain, clutching her mangled leg while groaning in agony.

Woo-jin crouched down, looking at the Head Principal with a cold, unwavering expression. His eyes were filled with icy rage.

“I’m not asking you to fully clear my name. I won’t give you the time for that.”

“What… are you trying to say…?”

    “Tell me your purpose.”

    “Purpose…? Gah…!”

    *Crack, crack.*

Woo-jin pressed the tip of the Iron Dragon Staff onto the back of the Head Principal’s hand, crushing it further.

“What was your reason for putting Dalbi and Baek-seo through that? Why did you drive so many kids to their deaths? Why did you turn children into weapons? Why did you use the Six Sinners for terrorism? Why did you target me? Why did you try to control this city as you pleased…?”

Woo-jin twisted the Iron Dragon Staff, pushing painfully into the Head Principal’s hand. The Head Principal cried out in pain, barely able to breathe.

“What was so important that you had to do all that?”

“I have no reason to tell you….”

    *Crunch!*

    “Arghhh…!”

Woo-jin crushed the Head Principal’s fingers with the Iron Dragon Staff.

“My goal was… just to live well.”

    *Crunch!*

    “Stop, stop… please!”

“All I wanted was to be with the people I like. That’s all. But… what were you?”

    *Crunch!*

    “Guhhh!! I…, I was…!”

“No… never mind. Don’t bother telling me.”

Woo-jin grabbed the Head Principal by her collar and flung her toward her desk.

    *Thud!*

    “Gahh!”

The Head Principal slammed against the desk, her back breaking, leaving her sitting against it.

She didn’t even have time to writhe in pain. Woo-jin approached her immediately, his eyes full of murderous intent.

“I’ve decided to destroy everything related to you. This Center Area included, everything. Whatever your goal was, it will all end like this. Let the questions remain unanswered.”

    “Wait… please…!”

The Head Principal coughed up blood.

Unbothered, Woo-jin raised the Iron Dragon Staff.

Just as he was about to strike—

    ♪♬♩….

A sudden burst of classical music.

The ringtone came from the smartphone that had fallen to the ground along with the Head Principal’s broken wheelchair.

Woo-jin turned his head toward the smartphone, and the Head Principal, startled, used all her strength to crawl toward it.

    But it was no use.

Woo-jin created a small crack right where he stood, extended his arm, and immediately retrieved the Head Principal’s smartphone.

    [1215]

For some reason, the caller’s name consisted of four digits.
