Chapter 1116: Side Story – Moving Preparation (2)
by Afuhfuihgs
“Jin-ah and Seon-ah, would it be okay if I got them pregnant?”
“Is this guy completely insane, seriously?!”
…So this is the reaction I expected.
I’d tried to prepare myself mentally before saying it, but it seems she was still flustered.
Then again, I’m the crazy one bringing up topics like pregnancy with my ‘younger sisters’ who just turned 20. I know that.
“Hear me out first. It’s not like I’m insisting on doing it. I’m not saying right now, either.”
“……Then.”
“Once you give me permission, I’ll formally ask them too, but if Jin-ah or Seon-ah don’t object, then I’ll genuinely….”
“That’s just you saying you’re going to get them pregnant, you bastard…!!”
“Don’t curse. It’s bad for prenatal education.”
“What’s bad is your nonsense, which is worse for prenatal education?!”
…That’s true. I can’t argue with that.
“Logically, if you suggest it, do you think they’ll refuse? What’s the difference between saying you’ll do it if they don’t object and just saying you’ll do it?!”
“There’s always the ‘what if’ scenario. But anyway, I’m being serious.”
“Do you even know Jin-ah and Seon-ah are only turning 21 this year?! There’s a limit to being ‘early’…”
Well. That’s not something Han Min-ah should be saying, at least.
Of course, in this world, the concept of university is limited to vocational colleges, so the average marriage age is about four years younger, but even considering that, Han Min-ah found her partner quite early.
“You’re only 23 yourself, already three months pregnant, and using age as an excuse with them… isn’t that a bit much?”
“I’m a bit of a special case… And, well, it felt like I didn’t really have the time back then….”
“I was asking seriously, but did you just give me permission on impulse, Min-ah?”
“Ah, n-no… W-what are you saying… It wasn’t like that….”
He pressed the point, and Han Min-ah quickly became intimidated and backed down.
“Of course, I do think it’s a bit early to bring this up with Jin-ah and Seon-ah.”
“…Knowing that, why….”
“It’s precisely because I know Jin-ah and Seon-ah’s feelings that I want to bring it up. They’ve genuinely loved me since they were young, and I can’t just turn a blind eye to that simply because they’re young.”
“…….”
“At the very least, I want to properly repay those who love someone like me. Even if the form it takes might seem a bit strange, there’s no greater proof that I genuinely care for them than this.”
“…That’s true, I suppose.”
“I hate the thought of them getting hurt later because I just ignored it without saying anything. They might feel like everyone else is loved enough to have children with me, but they weren’t even given that choice.”
Han Min-ah quietly bowed her head, accepting my logic as if she couldn’t think of any counterarguments.
She probably believes that even if they should refuse or postpone, it’s ultimately a decision her ‘sisters’ have to make themselves.
It wasn’t Han Min-ah’s place to interfere and cloud their choices in matters like this. Even though she raised her ‘sisters’ like a parent, there are still decisions that family members can’t interfere with.
“If Jin-ah and Seon-ah say it’s still too difficult, you won’t do it then, right?”
“Obviously. Why are you even asking?”
“…Haa, alright. It’s their business anyway, so me giving permission feels weird. If they want to, they can do whatever they want. Yeah.”
“Thanks for understanding, Min-ah.”
“Haa, but no matter how I think about it, I can’t picture them refusing, hoo….”
Actually, I think so too.
Perhaps soon, I’ll see all three of Min-ah’s ‘sisters’ holding my babies and nursing them.
“Unnie, it’s on the left!”
The black fox’s large tail swished as it flew towards the monster’s side.
-Skeug!
‘Guaaaah…!’
The sharp claws held in her hand glinted in the moonlight as they pierced the enemy’s flank. Although the tough hide prevented them from digging deep, it was enough to create a meaningful crack in the outer shell.
“Got it! I’ll handle the front!”
Her older sister, having already anticipated its movements, looked down, and large white ears sprang powerfully into the air.
Twirling a spear as tall as herself, she spun in mid-air and shattered the outer shell of the B-class monster, the Stone Beast.
-Pagagag!
‘Guaaaaaah!’
The monster let out a roar upon being hit by Han Jin-ah’s attack, losing its balance and shaking its body.
Seizing the opportunity, Han Seon-ah’s claws burrowed beneath the monster’s body and deeply pierced the Stone Beast’s neck from below.
-Puwook!
‘Kkuuk…!’
The monster collapsed, spewing blood, unable to even let out its final roar.
Just before the two-ton behemoth’s body fell, Han Seon-ah quickly spun around and escaped. Immediately after, the rhinoceros-like monster’s body crashed down where she had been standing.
-Kuwung!
“…Good work, Han Seon-ah. But that was a little dangerous just now, so don’t go too deep next time.”
“But this way is faster, Unnie.”
“Of course, thanks to you, Seon-ah, we finished quickly, but you shouldn’t get hurt by going in recklessly. You almost got crushed by that tail just now if you’d been a moment slower.”
“It’s okay. Even if I get hurt, Taekyung Oraboni will heal me.”
“Just because Oppa can heal it doesn’t mean the pain disappears.”
“Yes. I’ll be careful next time, Unnie.”
Han Jin-ah and Han Seon-ah, the C-class hunter duo of the Hope City Guild.
Of course, they knew they were practically B-class hunters despite only being ranked C. The ‘Moonlight Rock Valley’ where this Stone Beast appeared was also classified as a B-class dungeon.
They had only been promoted from D-class to C-class and hadn’t met the minimum service period, so they remained C-class. They were likely capable of advancing straight to B-class at the next promotion exam.
It was a remarkably fast rank progression, even for beast-type hunters whose potential is often considered limited. Their growth rate was faster compared to their role model and biological older sister, Han Min-ah.
The reason, naturally, was their cohabitant, Sung Taekyung, who satisfied their desires whenever their urges threatened to build up.
“I wonder if Oppa is off work yet? Should I stop by the CEO’s office on my way home later and we can go together?”
“Judging by the unfamiliar perfume scent I caught in the elevator earlier, I think another ‘external guest’ has visited.”
“Ah… Then he’s probably busy even if we go up.”
“It’s not certain, though. Still, I don’t think we should disturb the busy Taekyung Oraboni.”
“…Right, that makes sense. Ah, Seon-ah, I’ll clean up the outer shell over there. You focus on getting the core.”
The two began dismantling the monster, discussing ‘Oppa’, the most frequent topic of conversation for them.
As always, the massive monster was gradually broken down into materials, byproducts, and unnecessary parts by the girls’ spears and blades.
“Unnie, the ‘liver’ isn’t included as material, right?”
“Yeah. Other than the heart, there’s no need to collect any other internal organs.”
“Can I eat it then?”
“…Again? If you keep getting into the habit of eating monster meat, your health might suffer later.”
“But it’s delicious. Besides, Stone Beast meat is actually distributed for consumption anyway. Would you like some too, Unnie?”
“Ugh, I’m not really into it.”
Of course, no matter how long they had lived together, there were bound to be things they couldn’t understand about each other.
Han Jin-ah found it quite difficult to adapt to her younger sister’s overly curious personality, even though she was fundamentally kind and polite. She waited patiently until Han Seon-ah finished her ‘snack’ before starting to prepare to leave the dungeon.
“Should we call it a day? I think we’ve already caught five.”
“Yes, Unnie.”
“If there were guests, I wonder if Oppa will be staying out again tonight? If I go home, it’ll just be you again, Unnie.”
“We can’t help it. Oraboni is busy as the Guild Master.”
Sung Taekyung wasn’t this busy when he wasn’t the Guild Master.
It was understandable that she felt a slight disappointment towards him, as he was now staying out almost every other night.
Especially when she saw her older sister, who had recently taken a break from hunting and whose belly was visibly growing, or Eunbyul’s belly, as they lived together, the feeling intensified.
“If we asked Oraboni to get us pregnant like Unnie did, would he get angry?”
“He probably wouldn’t get angry… but he’d likely tell us to focus on our hunting careers.”
“Hunting is good, but I think I’d prefer being Oraboni’s wife.”
“…Perhaps if we wait, Oppa will bring it up first? Knowing Unnie’s personality, she wouldn’t have asked him to do it first.”
“That’s probably true. Like you said, Unnie, it’s best to wait until Oraboni is ready.”
They wanted to have Oppa’s children, but they didn’t want to pressure him.
They would hear the request they so desperately desired from Sung Taekyung the very next day.
